Arthur stood facing a woman. She was very beautiful woman.
"Hello Arthur, my name is Nim, I am here to lead you to the andidote" said the woman.
"This is a trap" said Arthur, with a knowing glint.
"Yep, there is a woman called Nimueh waiting for you in the caves, hoping to kill you with spiders but someone is watching over you so you are protected" said Nim. Arthur smirked.
"And how do I knew you are not Nimueh?" asked Arthur. Nim smirked.
"You don't, but I would not want on the bad side of Emrys, who powers grow more and more each day he is the company of yourself, the high king of all Albion" shouted Nim.
"Yeah, that's the future, and I need to save him so if you excuse me, do you just follow the path?" asked Arthur, pointing down the cave.
"Yes, and be warned. Nimueh will try to stop you" said Nim.
"I know, thanks for that" Arthur called over his shoulder as he walked away.
Nim just rolled her eyes and disappeared in a flash of leafs.
Merlin groaned in his sleep. Gwen was in Merlin's room, Uther had him moved back here so he be comfortable. Gaius was here too and that made Gwen really nervous. She wanted to tell Gaius but Arthur didn't trust him. Gwen looked at Merlin and decided. Gaius could be a powerful ally.
"Gaius, there's something I need to tell you" said Gwen. Gaius smiled at her.
"Merlin's medicine was blocking his magic" said Gwen to get it started. Gaius' eyes widened.
"How do you know?" he asked.
"Well, Arthur was given a dare by Morgana to go and visit to the Great Dragon, so he dragged Merlin with him. I was not there but according to them, Arthur was called a king and Merlin a warlock. They rode out to get away, something about Merlin's magic needing to settle. Myself and Morgana followed them. Merlin's magic is free but he can control it and I beg of you do not tell the King."
"I won't, oh how I have dreamed of this day" said Gaius.
"You've dreamed of this day?" asked Gwen, both of them sat at the table in Merlin's room.
"Yeah, I remember his father, he was so magical. He had powers that are only in a family. Merlin has them but he can't access them until his father dies. His mother was the kindest person. She was dragged here, made to give birth and hand her baby over. I still write letters but I fear she either throws them away or just ignores them. I want her to know everything about her son" said Gaius.
"Maybe he'll met her one day" said Gwen.
"Oh, that is my second dream. To see Hunith and Merlin as mother and son, not strangers" said Gaius. He sighed.
A light blue light filled the room and Gaius' eyes sparkled when he saw the magic from Merlin's hands.
