Chapter 11

"Zen-sama is coming back tomorrow!" Tsurara exclamation had made almost everyone cheer loudly at the revelation. Some went as far as to hug each other in reassurance.

Kana, on the other hand looked confused on what was going on. She didn't know who is this 'Zen-sama' guy but he seemed very important from the reaction.

Kejoro may not show it but she was quite a perceptive person when it comes to the people she cared about so she noticed the confusion the brunette gave off.

"Zen-sama is the person who healed your wounds when you first came here injured." She explained. "I'm so glad he is coming. Rikuo-sama's condition have gotten worse." She muttered under her breath, concerned.

Kana titled her head to a side with her left index finger resting on her lips. She looked at Kejoro with an uncertain look. It was clear that she didn't catch what Kejoro said.

"Nothing." She waved her hands to emphasis that it was nothing. "It is late already. Want to make dinner with me?" Kana nodded her head.

"Thank you so much! You don't know how difficult it is to cook for more than 100 people." She exclaimed in annoyance.

Kana could only give a smile in amusement at what she said.

It was a lovely sunny day. All the birds on the trees were chirping a song happily to each other until a voice boomed loudly causing the birds to fly away.

"STOP LAUGHING AT ME!" Awashima shouted, blushing madly. He just came to help the girls cook and this was what he got in return? "GET OUT!" He shooed the small yokai away.

Both Kejoro and Kana giggled at the makeover they did to the poor Awashima.

"They all went out of their way just to see you looking this beautiful." Kejoro teased him. The said boy was looking different than usual. His bang was tied up in an apple hairstyle and his face was pounded with heavy powder making it rival a white bed sheet. Let us not get into the lipstick and eye shadow part. The closet he looked like was a clown.

He was about to explode with anger but seeing them both laugh at his misery made him chuckle. His pride was tainted because he wanted her to smile more. That is why he agreed to do this knowing that he would be the laughing stock of the house.

"I'm glad that Rikuo has woken up today." Wakana commented chopping some lettuce.

Yes, that is right. He woke up today making Kana avoid him like the plague.

"Zen-sama is also coming today." Tsurara remarked gleefully. Today was starting out very good for everyone.

"I'm finished." Awashima announced, putting the dish he made down on a large tray.

"I'm also finished." Wakana squeeze a bottle of thousand island on her vegetable dish as a finishing touch.

They each carried a tray with the help of many other yokai to the dining room. Once they entered, Kana went to the furthest end of the table to avoid Rikuo as much as possible and set down the food dishes in an organized way. She was scared of confronting him so soon so she avoided him since early morning when she found out he woke up. She took a peak his way just to find him staring at her. She quickly looked away and pretended she didn't see him. She quickly took a seat before someone could claim it.

Kurotabou shifted uncomfortably from the unexpected person who sat next to him. They both ate silently until she stretched her arm to get something from the table. He saw her struggling to reach it so he just got it for her. She gave him a grateful smile in return for helping. He nodded his head in acknowledgement. He was about to say something to her but decided against it.

After lunch

Kana have once again managed to escape Rikuo from chasing her. She could only thank the person who managed to distract Rikuo even though they probably didn't intend it. She was just hiding inside a random room after bypassing him. She felt like she was being ridiculous but the guilt was real. She really wasn't ready to face him after what she did to him. What could she say anyway? I'm sorry I stabbed you? I hope we can go back to being friends? She didn't know how to fix it so she was running away from it.

She decided to get out after she monitored the hallway. She believed he would be in his room so she went out to get some fresh air. It was nice to relax your mind and soul instead of worrying about everything. The peace and quiet ended faster than she thought when she heard the familiar voice of the person she was escaping from a few minutes ago.

"Kana-chan!" His sudden appearance startled her. She started running away from him just to be caught by the back of her collar.

"I finally caught you." He gave a creepy smile while Kana tried to use her kicked puppy look to tempt him to let go but it didn't work. She sighed inwardly and decided to hear him out. He let go of her and signaled her to sit with him on the steady floor. Few minutes have passed causing Kana to start thinking he wasn't going to say anything until he spoke.

"Hide only when you've done something wrong."

She may have not acted different but his words affected her deeply. He was telling her not to hide from him because he knew she didn't hurt him on purpose and that made her feel very emotional about it that she may cry any second. At that moment her heart was beating in a abnormal way. It was the same feeling she felt when she first attacked Rikuo.

When he let his guard down

The same voice she heard that time, whispered that to her ears.

Kill him

Her body twitched slightly and her breath hitched in her throat when she realized she was moving without her own control.

"Where are you going?" Rikuo asked, watching her walk further away from him. He wondered if he said something wrong.

She continued to walk till she reached the household room. She didn't like what she was doing here and seeing how she took the dangerous item that mesmerized her last night didn't ease the worry she felt. She went outside and looked at the sky before she jumped high enough to reach the roof of the mansion they were in. She was amazed at how she easily jumped so high.

She stood on top of the roof with a chainsaw on her hand. Her hair was fluttering and rippling from the wind that blow her way. She couched her weapon, ready to attack. She jumped down, positioning her chainsaw on her right to swing it at Rikuo. Out of reflex, Rikuo got out of the way just in time to avoid a fatal injury by the unexpected turn of events. Having regained her footing, she swing the chainsaw around in hopes it would hurt him.

His eyes widen in alarm from her dangerous maneuver, barely dodging all the attacks. He still was in his day form and there was half an hour left till he will be able to change forms. Plus his stomach injury still hadn't healed either limiting his movements.

"Rikuo-sama!" Ao came running to rescue him.

She wouldn't tolerate interference this time so she dug her weapon down and leaned on it before she side-kicked the uninvited visitor. The back view of Ao burst out air from powerful kick. Blood flew out of his mouth as he was sent flying to the wall, creating a pit on it. His eyes rolled back in his head while he slid down the wall unconsciously. Her eyes widen at what she did as she looked at her shocked target. What...?She speechless at what she did but her body continued its attack.

She swung her weapon to his head. He accidentally stumbled backwards, to the ground avoiding the attack. She once again swung to finish him off but was interrupted by someone's sword clashing with hers. He managed to put enough force to make her lose her grip on her chainsaw.

She backed away immediately and kept her eyes intently to her surroundings. More people were eyeing her suspiciously for what else she would do. She sprang forward, attacking the yokai that came within her zone.

"Should we attack?" Awashima asked confused on whether they should or not.

"No. You will hurt Kana-chan." Rikuo replied.

"After witnessing what she had done to these people I do not want to be at the end of her kicks." Awashima shuddered at the people that were sent flying one after another in front of him.

"We can't keep being on defense! We have to attack her." Kubinashi calculated the risk they were taking. If they stayed on defense for very long they would just be overpowered. He gave a look to Kurotabou, signal him to use their plan.

"I'm sorry Rikuo-sama." Kurotabou muttered an apology knowing he would injure her but he promised himself he won't kill her.

"Anki: Kuroenbu." Kurotabou shot out his vast arsenal of weapons which he kept hidden within his sleeves straight toward her.

Kana wanted to close her eyes shut but she couldn't help but keep them open as her body changed direction. She looked left just for her to witness a giant wave made by Kappa heading her way and when she looked right she could see Reira on top of the roof ready to freeze her if she invaded her defense. Her best option was to head forward even if it meant facing Itaku in a fight, at least that was what her body was saying. He was acting as the sacrifice to hold her down enough for that giant wave to crash into them and then having Reira to freeze them both.

That was the plan but she did something unpredictable. When Itaku aimed a punch to her face as bait to fight him she instead dodged it and used Itaku's body to do a wall flip. Not only did she escape the weapons heading toward her but she also escaped the giant wave by hovering backward above it. The water had flushed out everyone who was on the ground level including Itaku. She twisted her body and landed on top of Kurotabou's several weapons. She used that as her new footing and immediately sprinted to Kurotabou with her chainsaw. He instantly extracted his weapons while running backward to avoid her but her unbelievable speed was harder to match up to than he thought.

Simultaneously, he obtained his weapons back while she jumped, ready to slay him. Everything happened fast. Awashima pushing Kurotabou and himself out the way just in time to avoid death.

"You idiot!" Awashima shouted at the person underneath him. "Why were you standing there waiting to be slaughtered?" He asked, bewildered as hell on what he was witnessing.

"You did not need me to save your ass." He stood up quickly and looked cautiously at his surroundings. The girl he was looking for was nowhere to be found.

"Where the heck did she go!" As if on cue, he saw a merciless rocket propel to its target.

Rikuo firmly held his sword in front of him in a defensive way. He was going to stop her no matter what. Awashima resisted the urge to faint at the moment. The brunette abruptly stopped moving. Her hand was forced to drop the chainsaw as she tried her best to push forward but someone was pulling her backward. Her eyes dropped to the restraints that were wrapped around her body.

Kejoro struggled pulling her hair by using both her hands as a support. She wouldn't let her kill her master under her watch. She gritted her teeth as she continued to pull. Little did she know that Kana's body was smart enough to jump resulting her body to jerk back rapidly. The brunette quickly twisted her body and swiftly connected her foot with the face of the surprised Kejoro, blasting her off.

Some of the weaker yokai leaped onto her like their life depended on it. "We won't let you kill Rikuo-sama."

Kana deep down cheered them on but she doubted that would stop her. She was right, that didn't stop her from grabbing them from their hair and throwing them aside. She ran to grab her chainsaw and jumped on top of Kappa head, using it as stepping stone to get on top of the Sakura tree. Her eyes searched the area for Rikuo and she found him kneeling down, holding his iced injury in pain. She sprang high in the sky like a crow ready to kill its prey.

"I w-wont let you hurt R-Rikuo-sama." Kejoro staggered her way in front of Rikuo with a bruise on that was a shade of pinkish red across her face. Rikuo managed to crawl his way out and shouted at Kejoro.

"RUN!"

Kejoro just stood there like she was immobilized with her arms spread. Kana won't hurt me. I know she won't...Images of the girl she knew flashed through her eyes. From her smiling, crying, confused face to her blushing one. She won't do that to her friend.

"KEJORO!" Kubinashi screamed.

The scene they were witnessing went in slow motion to everyone. The people who shouted at her to get out of the way and the people who stared silently at what was happening, widened their eyes at what they saw. They stared in horrified shock as the tip of the blade made contact with the head of Kejoro. It sliced her head down as if it was slicing bread. The blood sprayed down on Kana like rain.

There was a long moment of silence as everyone tried to comprehend what had happened. It finally sank in, some faces twisted from shock to terror while some still couldn't grasp what they saw. The ones who let their mouths hang open let out an ear-piercing screech of dread causing some to go into panic mode. Majority of them were trembling in fear from the brutal murder they had witnessed. As much as they wanted to deny and forget what had occurred they couldn't, because it burned itself in their minds. The scene replayed itself like a broken record. They may not admit that they were traumatized.

Kubinashi's legs gave out when he felt his entire world collapse on him.

Did Kejoro... just get murdered?

I have so much things to write on the next chapter that I feel like I would surpass my 2,000 words limit on each chapter. That is a good thing to readers but I'm not sure if I may update it this Tuesday :( I'll try my best to get it on time but if I couldn't... don't kill me for it.
