Hey guys! I'm back, finally. I've been busy with a-lot and now stories should be posted everyday at least from 9:00-10! Depending on what will be happening, on breaks like spring break, there will be stories Saturday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. So here it is, Steven Universe is back! So what will happen? Find out!
Zircon chuckled, his eyes glaring at both Lapis and Steven. His eyes pure blue as his smile only turned wider. "You know, Lapis. My gem was cracked for a long while. Emerald, was a war leader. I turned his army to dust just as I did to him now. And to think. I'm still in control of my body, but I feel. I won't be for long." Zircon spoke, he looked down to his hands of which had blood dripping from each knuckle. He looked back up at his sister, one of his gems were completely gone.
"You know how I had two gems and you didn't, Lapis? Would you like to know?" Zircon asked his sister who slowly shook her head as she stepped back in complete fear, taking Steven with her. "Well, I'll tell you anyways.I was experimented on.. Tested. Back home, they tried to engineer me into the perfect weapon. They took me, and threw me together with another Zircon, killed him to see if it would still give me two weapons. And now, I'm back to the original me. They may keep me alive, the gems, but like a human's kidneys. I only need one to live in the event that the other is destroyed." Zircon explained, as he began to laugh.
His gem glowed as he pulled out the axe from it, spinning it like a staff and then stopping the blade over his shoulder. Lapis began to push Steven behind her, as she shook. "W-What are you doing?" She asked Zircon, as he opened his mouth. "Cutting, the species down." He said, as he began to run forward. Lapis grabbed Steven, and spawned her wings, as she lifted up from the ground at an amazing speed. "AAH!" Steven screamed as he was lifted into the air. Zircon gave chase, and eventually the ground shot up behind him and infront of him, creating a stairwell of rising columns.
Lapis' wings flapped as she began to spin. One of her wings were sliced off and she crash landed, the axe only a few feet from her. And Zircon, was right behind her. Steven, he landed several meters away from Lapis, watching as she stood up, her eyes shaking with fear. Zircon swung the blade towards her, only to be blocked by a shield of water. "Zircon! Stop! Please!" Lapis begged, Zircon continuing to slam the bubble shield. "Not until the species is cut down!"
Suddenly, the shield expanded to an amazing size, at an amazing speed which would throw Zircon in the air. Lapis ran back towards Steven and just as she turned her back, a large column of soil rose in the air and sped towards her back. She then flew, gracefully like a bird flying, except, without wings and screaming. She hit the rocks and boulders began to fall. Steven stood there in absolute shock. How could he do this to her? I thought he was a good guy, a Crystal Gem.. He thought, as Zircon stood upon one of the dozens of columns of dirt. He glanced towards the rubble, which slightly moved as Lapis stood up. Suddenly 11 columns launched at her, and just then she jumped up and flew with her liquid wings.
The impact of the columns caused a fog of dust to rise, leaving Lapis blinded. She landed, and let water rise to her hand, the liquid then shifted to a sword shape, and she grabbed it. She began to swing the sword around, and suddenly, sounds of clashing would echo through the dust, sparks flying and Steven would stare into the dust. When it cleared, Zircon had Lapis on the ground, axe hovering over her face, the sword pivoting it to a stop. "Zircon!" Steven shouted, as Zircon glanced, only to be hit in the head by a shield.
There stood Steven, his eyebrows furrowed as he glared at Zircon, who then returned the glare, picking up the shield and throwing it back. Steven caught the shield, and luckily so considering he blocked Zircons next attack. Zircon spun again, swinging towards the dirt which cracked under Steven, making him fall. He stopped. Zircon caught him with the edge of the axe, and threw Steven onto the dirt. Steven rolled and looked toward Zircon who dropped the axe and landed on his knees, grasping his head and groaning.
"Rah!" He screamed, as loud as he could. In the distance Pearl had just stood up, in a new suit. She had an orange dress, that ended just above her knees, a light blue bow tied around her waist, her slippers had switched to a light, bright orange and she looked towards Lapis and Steven, then Zircon. Her eyes widened, as she dashed for Steven. "Steven! What happened?" She said as she touched Steven's shoulder. "Zircon... He. Corrupted. Ish." He said, as she looked towards Zircon, one gem had been shattered, and the other cracked slightly. Her eyes widened as Zircon then stood up, and turned to Steven. He began chuckling again, and took a step forward.
"Zircon.. Why isn't your repair system working?" Pearl asked him, only for him to say "They're not fully charged yet. They need time, but. This time I shall use by killing all of you." He said, a smile growing over his face. He then dashed forward, spinning his axe towards Pearl. Pearl's gem would glow, and her spear would appear in her hand, she spun and blocked Zircon's axe, roundhouse kicking him. He ducked, raising his leg and wrapped it around her leg. He then swung her over head with his own leg, her head landing on the dirt.
"Oof!" She let out, Zircon jumping up and spinning, raising the axe over his head and as he began to fall, so did the axe. She turned onto her back, her eyes staring up. She had lost her breath. Her vision was blurred, and then she began to see clearly. He was only feet away when the axe had disappeared, and he landed. Both feet over her. She looked up at him, and blinked.
Lapis took Steven inside, to help him keep safe from what may happen. She put him in his room, Steven shaking in fear. "Steven. Imagine what you can. Do whatever in your power to keep him from coming in here. Stay safe.." Lapis said, running out of his room, meanwhile outside, Pearl stared up at Zircon who stared down at her. She just lay there, staring up not knowing what may happen. Zircon leaned down, and grabbed her shoulders. He picked her up to where she'd be standing. He put her arm over his shoulder and looked towards the Temple.
Zircon looked at Pearl, who was hanging off his figure, just then Lapis burst out the door, and jumped. She landed infront of him with dust flying around her. Pearl groaned, her head lifting up, to look at Zircon's gems, tiny spiders began to climb out of the shattered gem, and reforming what was left of it into a whole thing. Just as well as the cracked gem. It's cracks merged together, and Lapis looked towards Pearl, then Zircon. Zircon looked towards Pearl then returned the glare towards Lapis.
Lapis formed her weapon, then swung it around her figure. It was at this moment, when Zircon just fell. His eyes faded from complete blue to pupils. Then his eyes shut. Pearl landed ontop of his arm, passed out as well. Lapis looked down towards her brother, her weapon landing on the ground and forming a puddle of water on the sand. Garnet had reformed, her suit the same as last time, and Amethyst reformed as well. They looked towards where Lapis stood, and without a word, they brought both Pearl and Zircon inside.
Okay. So Zircon became corrupted for a short period of time. And he fought Lapis, Steven, and Pearl. But where are all these gems coming from and why are they coming to Earth? First with the trio, and Peridot. Who will the next gem be to arrive? And what will happen when they do? Find out next time on Steven Universe: The Boom!
