Kai's P.o.v.

I slipped on my shoes and walked towards the entrance of Aichi's household. I quickly glanced behind me and I caught a glimpse of a red blur behind me. I could've sworn it was a person but it was too quick to be one. Ignoring the suspicious blur, I exited the house and headed towards the hospital Tasuku currently resided in.

That boy could recover his injuries quite fast if you ask me... How nice it is to be young... I sauntered down the sidewalk and I felt an unnecessary presence behind me.

Is someone following me?

"Drum, Shut up! He'll hear us!" A voice whispered noisily.

" Shhh! He'll hear us if you keep whispering like that!" Whispered a second voice.

"Where's he going.." Whispered the first voice.

Isn't that Gao and his dragon friend?

I spotted an alleyway ahead and I decided to confirm my suspicions. I walked towards the convenient alleyway and behind a bush that just happened to be there for some reason. I hid behind the convenient bush and waited for the two stalkers to walk by.

Gao's P.o.v.

Kai walked into an alleyway and I glanced over at Drum who gave me a nod with his giant head. We both ran into the alleyway to catch up to Kai, only to find that he had disappeared.

"Where'd h-" I started until I was interrupted.

"Why are you following me?" Came a voice from behind me.

"Kai?!" I said turning around abruptly, only to meet the face of Kai. "How- When d- Wher-"

"Don't make me repeat myself." He said in a tone that was a bit cold.

"Where are you going?" I questioned, holding my left hand in a fist in front of me and taking a step closer to Kai, but I had to look up at him...

The advantages of being tall... Just you wait Kai, till I get my growth spurt!

"So?" He said as if he could read my mind. "If you won't answer me, then be quiet and follow me."

He turned around and he walked somewhere. I followed him, to find out where he had to go that was so urgent, that he had to leave Aichi's household. After a few minutes of walking, I bumped into the back of Kai and I feel on my bottom.

"Ow! Why'd you stop?!" I said, getting up and rubbing my nose that stabbed Kai's iron slabbed back.

"We're making a short stop here." Kai started as he then continued walking. It was a department store, meant for clothing. The store name was called Eternal 12.

Sounds a bit familiar...

I followed Kai into the store and found hundreds of thousands of clothes and shoes.

"Why are we here?" I asked as I watched Kai pick out clothes.

"To buy clothes, obviously," Kai said, not even bothering to face me and he held two sweaters in hand and he looked at each and chose the one on the right in the end. He mumbled something about taking this one and moved onto the next section. Kai spent his time wisely and picked some clothes that seemed to match very well, surprisingly.

Kai is surprisingly good at this stuff...

There were mothers and other women around us and they seemed to admire Kai's skills.

"Look at how he's putting those clothes together..!"

"Oh my... I wish my boyfriend had a great eye for fashion as that man!"

"Can he marry my daughter?!"

The women muttered one by one and they hoped for the best for Kai, who seemed to finish picking out the outfit he had wanted. We soon proceeded to wait in line to buy the items.

Those clothes are a bit too small for him... It's like my size but a bit bigger... I wonder who it's for...

The moment we arrived at the register, the cashiers couldn't take their eyes off Kai for some odd reason.

"Your total comes out to 4730 yen." The lady said.

"This is going to kill my part time job..." Kai mumbles, taking out his wallet and paying the lady. Kai received his change and the items he purchased in a baby blue bag that carved "Eternal 12 on the front and back in a cursive, silver font. We left the store and continued to walk towards Kai's destination. A few more minutes of walking, we arrived at Kai's destination and my nose once more rejoined the harshness of Kai's iron back. I felt my nose crying internally but I kept quiet.

"We're here," Kai replied as he walked through the moving glass doors in front of us.

I looked up and saw a huge building with more than windows that a number of bones in my body.

A hospital? Is this related to Tasuku? (A/N: No kidding...)

Kai approached the receptionist and he stood there for a second to catch her attention. "We're here for Ryuenji Tasuku. I received a call that he had awoken a few minutes ago."

The receptionist hesitated for a moment and took a few seconds to think before she responded. "Ah yes. Tasuku-kun. He's in room 221." The receptionist said, pointing to the location of his room.

"Thanks," Kai said as he headed towards room 221. I trailed behind him and Drum waddled next to me.

So this is about Tasuku...

We arrived in front of the nameplate that stated "Tasuku Ryuenji" and below that were the four digits "R.221" Kai knocked on the door and a few seconds later came a reply, "Come in"

Tasuku's P.o.v.

I heard a knock at the door and I put my deck of Vanguard cards down.

"Come in," I said, looking at the door

Probably another doctor...

The door slid open and three figures walked in, Kai, Gao, and Drum.

"Kai-san, Gao-kun, and Drum!" You all came to visit me?" I asked with a smile on my face.

"We came to pick you up," Kai said with a warm smile. "Hurry up, we're going to Aichi's house."

"A- Ok," I said as I got out of bed swiftly and nearly walked out.

"Wait a second," Kai said, placing a firm hand on my shoulder. " A change of clothes first."

He handed over a baby blue bag that seemed a bit unfamiliar to me but I accepted it. I stared at the contents of the bag and started questioning Kai's preference over things. The bag contained a short sleeved white button up shirt, a white sweater with a blue hoodie, blue pants that would go up to my knees, a pair of socks and red sneakers. I looked over at Kai, feeling the sweatdrop at the back of my head, but I shook it off and prepared to get changed.

"Um... Are you just going to watch me strip or.." I said a bit hesitant, trying yo give them a hint at what I was about to do.

"O-Oh yeah!" Gao said as he was about to leave. Gao, Drum, and Kai walked out and closed the door behind them and I took a deep breath and released it.

When was the last time I felt this relaxed..?

I started to strip and I stared at the freshly boughten clothes and I put them on, one by one, feeling the silky fabric make contact with my skin. It was extremely soft.

Kai has good taste... A little too good...

"You can come in now," I said the moment I finished changing. I folded my hospital gown and placed it on top of the bed. I looked at myself and was surprised at how it seemed to fit very well. As embarrassing as it is to describe this, the white button up shirt fit my upper body completely, as if it hugged my nonstop, the sweater over it was neither too loose nor tight. The blue pants went below my knees and a few centimeters above my ankles and the end of those pants wrapped itself against my leg, which felt pretty comfortable. And last but not lease, the shoes felt snug and of course, socks fit anyone.

Gao, Kai, and Drum came in afterward and after a few seconds of scanning my new outfit, Gao signaled me over for a short chat. I walked over to Gao and he held something out to me. I didn't even need to look at the card to figure out what he was trying to do.

"I-I can't accept it," I said, looking down at the ground. "I don't deserve the right to own that card again."

"None of that matters." Said a familiar voice. I looked up to see the source of the voice. "Don't forget, we're family."

"Jack?" I said a bit surprised. The card transformed into Jack in his mini form and I was surprised at his new form.

"Why are you so..."

"I can't show up in my usual form in a hospital, now can I?"

I looked down again and with a weak smile, I started laughing and I felt tears roll down my face. I soon stopped laughing and wiped the tears away.

"I let everyone down...I've messed up, haven't I," I said disappointedly.

"Don't worry about that!" Gao said, confidently. " The past is the past, and we always have to move on in order to become stronger and a better person than we were before!"

"Yeah!" Drum exclaimed. "Even us dragons take the wrong path sometimes! It's never too late you know!"

"Gao's right Tasuku," Jack said. "I've told you before, you can start over again, as many times as you need, so don't be so hard on yourself."

"Really? Is that true?" I asked looking up at Jack with teary eyes.

"The most important thing is to have the courage to admit your mistakes," Jack said, holding a claw up. "True fighters never run away from their problems. Even when things get tough!"

I looked at Jack, tears forming on my face and I looked down once again.

"Then I- I uh," I said. Then I closed my eyes. " Okay, I admit I made a terrible mistake!"

"That's better,inbetween" Jack said gladly. "Now, is there anything you want to say to me?"

I looked at Jack with very teary eyes and a few tears slipped out.

"I'm sorry," I said, reaching over to embrace my floating family member. "I'm so sorry Jack."

Tears streamed down my face as I held Jack tightly.

"I forgave you a long time ago Tasuku," Jack said calmly. I could tell he was smiling but I didn't care. Jack was with my again and things could go back to normal. "We're buddies 'till the end,"

"Right, we're in this together,in betweena sob. "Thank you Jack,"

After a few minutes of silence, I calmed down and I felt normal again. Gao came over to me and had a large grin.

"Welcome back Tasuku." He said happily. I stared at him for a second and smiled.

"I'm back."

"And by the way~ Try to act like you don't know but you know..," Gao whispered. Then in a lower voice, he said something in my ear. "Fyrra and Tsuki are watching us from behind. In that tree behind you,"

"They are?" I asked, looking outside the window, only to see two heads pop into the tree and a rustle in the tree followed. I gave a light chuckle at the sight and I turned back to Gao. "We're leaving now, aren't we?"

"Yea! There's a party and everything!" Drum exclaimed. "If we don't hurry, there'll be no more takoyaki for you!"

"Okay, okay," I said, taking a step outside the hospital room, which was soon followed by Gao, Drum, and Kai who shut the door behind him. Kai had to fill out a few papers and we left the hospital and walked to an unknown destination. "So, where are we going?"

"Aichi-senpai's house," Gao said excitedly. "Everyone's gonna be thrilled to see you all healthy again!"

"Yeah," I said with a weak smile. I placed my hand on my neck and with my eyes closed, I chuckled a bit.

The moment we arrived back at Aichi's house, Kai rang the door bell.

"Yes?" Came a voice

"It's me," Kai said in his normal voice.

"Ah! Kai-kun!" The voice exclaimed. "Wait a moment!"

A few seconds later, Aichi opened the door and greeted Kai again.

"Tasuku-kun!" Aichi said, noticing my existence, though he looked a bit shocked. "How are you feeling?"

"Ah-. I-I'm fine." I said, placing my hand on my neck again and laughed a bit. "I'm so-"

I was suddenly embraced in a hug from Aichi.

"Welcome back," Aichi said in a soothing voice, keeping his head low. "I'm glad you're okay."

Aichi..

My eyes widened in shock as I was in a sudden embrace, something I haven't felt in a long time. My face felt warm and I attempted to cool myself down, and it succeeded a little.

Yuki-nee- Don't leave me!

"Sorry for making you worry Aichi-san." I said in a calm but shaky voice.

"Don't worry about that now," Aichi said. He let go of me and grabbed my hand. "Let's go inside."

While I was dragged inside, I suddenly remembered that Tsuki and Fyrra were following.

"Tsuki, Fyrra, you can come out now!" I said loudly, turning my head towards the direction of the closest tree.

"Ehh?!" Fyrra exclaimed, jumping out of the tree with Tsuki. "How did you know?"

"Heh, I was told by Kai~" Gao said smugly, swiping the bottom of his nose with his thumb.

"Eh...," Fyrra said. "Well Tsuki, are you satisfied?"

"Yeah, let's go back inside Fyrra." Tsuki said as she walked inside Aichi's household.

I soon caught up with Tsuki and I was given a pair of slippers to wear and I thanked Aichi over and over again, though he told me to stop eventually. I entered the living room, where the party took place and it was a bit awkward to stand there.

"LOOK WHOSE BACK!" Drum yelled on the top of his lungs. "TASUKU'S BACKK!"

Everyone's attention turned towards the doorway and they all looked at me.

"H-Hi." I said, with my eyes closed and with a shaky raised hand.
