Wow it's been awhile since I updated and it might have taken me three months but I didn't forget about this story.

Gilbert slowly opens Alfred's bedroom door and can't help but smile at the two boys curled up asleep together. "Aww." He snickers before thinking back to a time when he and his little brother had been that close. The albino adored his kid brother and was nearly heart broken when Ludwig had chosen to leave for Military school but then Gilbert couldn't blame him. He's so lost in thought it takes him a moment to realize Matthew is talking to him, "Oh sorry Birdie. What?"

Matthew gives him a sleepy smile, "I said Merry Christmas Gil…are you okay?"

Quickly Gilbert dives onto the bed making the twins give out a loud surprised yell, "I'm awesome and Merry Christmas you two."

"Dude don't do that." Alfred laughs giving his friend a playful push. "You're not funny."

Gilbert lets out a laugh as the door opens wider, "Lads? What the bloody hell is all the screaming about?"

"Nothing." Matthew answers back as he starts to stand, "But Merry Christmas Uncle."

Allistor just gives him a knowing smile, "Aye Lads Merry Christmas now let's go down stairs and have breakfast and open gifts." He turns and closes the door letting out a chuckle. "Oh those boys just like their mother." It's been awhile since he's thought about their mother. He had loved her like a sister and he's not surprised both remind him of her, but then is that one of the real reasons his younger brother refuses to come home. Quickly he tries to force that thought out of his mind but it lingers.

He hates to admit that while most of his family was shocked when Arthur practically ran to England he knew it was just a matter of time. Truly Allistor had prayed he would be wrong but his younger brother had always had a hard time letting his real feelings show. But for his nephews he would swallow his own pride and call Arthur again.

Back up in Alfred's room the younger twin shakes his head, "I'm not doing it."

"But Al."

"Hell no Dude." He lets out a sigh knowing now both are plotting against him, "Look can't we get through the rest of the week and end with a"

Gilbert quickly cuts him off with a smirk, "Kiss?"

In an instant Alfred's face turns a deep red, "What? No dude she's really sweet but…um…" He thinks up a plan for a quick getaway from the two co-conspirators, "I think breakfast is done." And with that he's gone leaving the other two alone.

"I think he really likes her Gil." The blonde says with a wide smile. "I've never seen him this way before."

Gilbert nods, "And you know the awesome me knows about a rumor going around that she might like him too. But that's just a rumor."

"Are you sure?"

Now the Albino laughs, "That it's a rumor or that she likes him." Matthew just sighs leading the way down the stairs, "Well Birdie we'll know next Saturday."

The house seems quiet when Gilbert slips in the back door. He could kick himself for forgetting his glasses at home. Most of the time he would deal with his contacts but finally he couldn't take them anymore and he needs relief from them. Quickly he walks down to his basement room and shivers slightly from the unheated room, "Well fuck I wasn't gone that long." He growls to himself opening his desk drawer.

A voice behind him practically makes him jump, "Well I don't see why we would heat it down here if you're not here."

He doesn't even have to turn to know who it is, "Hello Eliza or should I call you Ms. H?" The teen turns to with glasses in hand, "I only came for these so tell Dad not to wait up for me." He pushes past his father's girlfriend and walks upstairs.

"Gilbert." When he doesn't answer she grabs his wrist, "Your father wants you to spend tonight here at home."

Glaring at her he rips his hand away, "Well maybe I don't want to spend it here with him. I actually would like to spend it with some people that actually care and not with a bunch of random people." He shakes his head, "I'm not doing it again this year." With that he's out the back door and into the snow. She opens the door and watches him drudge back towards the small home a few streets away letting out a small sigh before closing the door.

He opens the front door and smiles at the two on the couch, "Well the awesome me is back." He says with a wide grin.

"Dude ever heard of knocking?" Alfred says with a teasing smile.

Gilbert lets out a deep laugh, "Oh you mean that thing people do at front doors?" He gives him a small smirk, "Now why would I do that?"

Both twins looks at each other as they shake their heads, "So did you get your glasses or not?"

"Yeah I got my slightly unawesome glasses." There's a slight hint of sadness in his voice as he walks over to the mirror to take out his contacts.

Alfred slings his arms over the back to the couch watching him, "Dude did something happen?" He rests his chin on the top of the couch as Gilbert finishes removing his contacts.

"Nope I'm just awesome." The albino says with a large smile jumping on the couch, "Now what are we watching?"

Alfred grabs the remote and smiles as his brother lets out a heavy sigh, "Seven?"

"Why not."
