Amaterasu: Hey guys! I'm sorry for not updating, I've for one felt unmotivated and two physically couldn't update fanfiction. Then I lost what I had written from a crash. My laptop was on it's last life and I couldn't even get word document to come up! I also am sorry to announce that I will not be updating as much as I used to. I am now an High School Graduate and already in college in a Pre-Med route.
Koji: Wo! You weren't a complete dip****
Amaterasu:HEY! Shut up and do the disclaimer!
Koji:...as you know she doesn't own Digimon Frontier or anything else in the franchise. But she does claim her characters that she made, stop using them without her permission.
READY SET !...GO!
...
"Be this really my brethren?" A dark digimon mumbled in disgust and scoffed at the sight of his fellow corrupt digimon made their way over the barren landscape, a frown on his face. As if these bumbling mewling quims could be on his level.
"I'm afraid so." A quiet voice said, barely hovering over a whisper. "If idiocy comes with the territory of being a legendary warrior then you can have it."
"Silence your mouth you low life." The dark Digimon known as Duskmon said glaring into the darkness. A dark figure emerged, a female human digimon drifted forward. She would be beautiful if not for the dark aura she gave off. This was a digimon never seen before, created purely from the bleak cold depths of Cherubimon's own essence. Ink black hair fell straight as a waterfall to her in entirely black, it contrasting with her white as snow skin, a long sleeved unitard, cape, and a ninja like mask. Her feet were bare, but black ribbon spiraled up her legs.
"I didn't mean you of course, my lord." She said drifting closer to the now scoffing Duskmon. She had a mocking tone that her sharp eyes conveyed easily.
"Of course not, Hakanaimon."
...
"I can't believe it, we're actually here!"Takuya cheered as we made our way through the thick fog. I didn't know how he could see though this stuff, it was thicker than clam shower. I heard J.P. groan.
"My legs can believe it" He said as he dragged himself along, basically dead on his feet.
"You sure it's not just some murage due to exhaustion?"I groaned, leaning heavily on Koji for a moment, him patting my head sarcastically before shoving me off.
"The forest terminal! Finally." Takuya said as we finally made it to the sign that said the two words we've longed to see for weeks now. I looked around the deserted and eerie terminal.
'But shouldn't there be some trailmon here?"Koji asked as he joined me.
"Yeah really." Zoe agreed.
"This looks like the perfect set for a horror movie guys!" I shuddered a bit.
"Well um maybe...they umm are on their way back and ummm or they uh well um they are ummm...oh man." He groaned a bit, putting his head in his hands.
"We are sooo going to die."
"Neru!"Koji scolded me and I held my hands up in defeat.
"Who cares about the trailmon!" J.P. called out excitedly. "Theres a restaurant here. We all turned to where he was facing from the back of our group. It was a simple looking ramen shop I would see all around town. We all shrugged, being hungry of course, and approached. Behind the counter sat a bird-type digimon with crown and a bush for a tail.
"Hello there weary travellers." He said in the accent you would expect one of those car sales man to have as they scam you for a piece of junk car.
"What do you have to eat?" Tommy asked putting his hands on his hips. Oops...maybe I've been passing down my more feminine habits down to him.
"Ask what instead what I have not to eat!" He said with a smile. "Come on in and have a try, and don't worry about money. For you the first meal is free!"
"YAY!" J.P. said practically pushing me away in order to get there. Tommy and Zoe shared a smile before heading in after him. I grabbed Takuya's and Koji's wrists and pulled them in. Once we were all situated he began cooking ramen. Tossing and flipping things into the air as he cooked. Bright white eggs flew up before he used a peck attack to crush the egg shell away and the yolk landed on the roman bowls and instantly started sizzling.
"Dig in!" He said and we all cheered. We clasped our hands together, thanking him for the meal before breaking our chopsticks and taking our first bites. We all froze and then the rest of my group all spat it out, groaning and yelling. I sat there, chopsticks in my mouth angling my head away before I swallowed.
"S-She swallowed it!"
"Neru?" Takuya asked as I took another bite.
"It's..."I started and everyone turned to look at me. "Not ...that...bad." I said trying to be nice but as I turned to look at them I knew tears were flowing down my cheeks. This man had worked hard and gave us a free meal.
"Neru spit that out, it's bad for you." Koji said blandly taking my chin and forcing my head to face the ground and pried my mouth open.
"I'm sorry but we must decline your offer of food." Bokomon said as the rest bowed their heads.
"I can't feel my tongue anymore." Neemon said sadly rubbing his cheeks.
"I don't feel so good." I groaned, head on the counter.
"That's what you get you idiot." Koji said with a scolding tone.
"Alright alright what's the big idea?" the Digimon said. "I can't believe you guys would turn down free food!" He said irritated.
"That was food?" Zoe asked crossing her arms, sounding pissed beyond belief.
"I'm insulted!" He yelled.
"I'm going to be sick!" Takuya said and heard me groan. "Sorry Neru."
"Alright alright get out of here kids you're bugging me. Go on and head to the forest terminal. They say no one's ever returned from there!"He growled at us.
"Yeah well we'll just take our chances!"Takuya said crossing his arms. "I doubt the forest terminal could be any worse than this food!" My friends all humped and copied him as I laid there, my stomach obviously not happy.
"Aww come on guys! I was just trying to be nce."
"Nice has nothing to do with cooking."Takuya said then became serious. "Besides rumors don't matter to us, we were already told we had to go to the forest terminal." He said then eased my out of the stool as our friends followed. We headed back to the main track, stopping once so I could toss chunks, and Koji lead the way into the fogged up train-mon terminal. I felt much better and skipped up ahead of him, looking around excitedly. We made it to where all the benches were, so you could wait for your ride, but apparently no one was traveling the rails anytime soon. The place was completely empty, not a soul in sight.
"Man this place is empty too?"Koji asked looking around.
"Um yeah, and a little bit creepy!"Zoe tacked on with a scuff and I rolled my eyes.
"It's not that bad, at least it;s day time. Now that would be freaky!"I said with a nod. Due to the thick fog all around us we got in a singular line so that we could stick together more easily.
"Keep your eyes open guys."Takuya said from his spot up front.
"For what?!"J.P. responded from the back. "All we can see is the fog."
"Well there has to be someone here!"Takuya said as we entered the tree base and headed up the spiral staircase that encircled the inside of the tree.
"What if they're all...GHOSTS!"J.P. said fearfully and some of the other whimpered. Honestly after everything we've seen, ghosts would be the last of our troubles. Bring them on. We came to the top of the staircase, but the exit was blocked with a door. When we attempted to open it, it wouldn't budge.
"Oh come on!"Takuya said hitting his head against it. Suddenly beeping came from my D-Tector and as I pulled it out a beam of light shot out to the lock and the door slowly opened. Huh, does it do that to all doors? If so I might keep this back in the human world, nevering getting locked out of the house again!
"Well that's weird."J.P. said with the shake of his head.
"Let's Just keep walking." Takuya said waving his hand for them to follow after him and Koji.
"This world sure loves it's walking." J.P. replied with a grumble and Neru could help but agree with him there but there was no sense in complaining. No more than a few feet from where they came out they were met with another fork in the road...literally.
"Great!" Takuya groaned. "Now which way?"
"Should we just pick one?" Neru asked. "Or maybe we could split-"
"NO!" All the others said quickly and Neru couldn't help agree she didn't want everyone separated again. A beeping filled the air, except it wasn't my D-Tector but Tommy's. When he pulled it out a holographic map flashed before all of the teens eyes before the pointer shifted to the right pathway.
"It's that way!" Tommy said with a grin and soon we all headed up the steep stairs. Oh dreaded stairs, why doesn't this place have like-escalator-mon or something! Despite the free directions they still seemed to be blocked off.
"Are you sure? We can't go any further." Takuya said turning to the boy.
"Was it pointing the other way and you just read it wrong?" Zoe asked, but as soon as she did, J.P.'s detector acted up and the tree branches moved aside from our destined path.
"Oh...well...Okay then." I said and started walking ahead.
"Ahaha well for my next trick!" J.P. said with a joking smile and I rolled my eyes.
"J.P., it wasn't even your trick, it was the D-Tector's."
"Yeah...my D-Tector."
We walked for what seemed to be ages, and I was sure my shins were bruised beyond repair from all the stumbling I did in the thick as soup fog.
"Gah I can't see anything in this fog!" Takuya said as he bumped into my back.
"Yeah, and considering we could be attacked I don't like it."Koji said a bit worried. When this concern was voiced a buzzing and ringing began, more high pitched than before. We all turned our heads to the source of the sound and saw Zoe with her D-Tector out. A pink hue covered the device.
"Maybe my D-Tector is good for something." She said and gasped as a the pink field around it expanded and released a monsoon of winds. Soon it was clear as crystal around us, and low and behold that was the perfect way to put it. We all murmured in awe and utter wonder at the palace before us. It looked to be made of crystal alright, bright and colorful crystal. "Man do I hate it when I'm right."
"So must hate a lot of situations then?" I said without missing a beat as I began forward, eyes locked on the prize.
"This place beautiful." Tommy said with a shocked expression, he probably expected a dark spooky Halloween castle.
"That doesn't mean it's not dangerous." Koji said looking at the boy as I past him.
"I find that the most beautiful things, are the ones that are the most dangerous and cause the most harm," I replied in a mumble. Think about it, the bugs in the rainforest with the most intense and brightest colors are poisonous. The ocean, wide vast and full of life, holds hidden dangers. And a beautiful relationship of love, holds the threat of leaving behind the biggest hole in ones heart if it is ever compromised.
"Words the live by, especially if talking about a pretty girl." Takuya laughed a bit and I shoved him a bit in return.
"But the lady from our D-Tector's might live here. I mean, she told us to come here!" Tommy insisted.
"Well should I knock then?"J.P. asked all of us as she raised his fist to do so, hovering over the door.
"I still don't think it's safe." Koji snapped a bit.
"You don't think a lot of things are safe." I retorted earning a glare. "And you still do the stupidest ones." I continued and the glare intensified. I smiled a bit to appease him to show I was joking and he seemed to go into a sulky mood. That was until his D-Tector activated as caused the gates to swing open. Honestly this place never ceases to amaze me.
"Well...at least they're polite." Takuya said albeit hopefully.
"Yeah, or eager to lure us in there." J.P. said and I scoffed.
"Stop being a Debbie Downer or your new nickname is thus so!"I said as I walked past him.
"Wait what?!" He asked gaping at me.
"Come along Debbie." I said and he flushed a bit pink and stuck his tongue out at me before rolling his eyes.
"Well I agree with Neru, we should go in." Zoe said. "I mean, Sleeping Beauty ued to live in a castle in the forest."
"Yeah, so did the wicked witch." Koji replied.
"Come along Debbie II." I called to Koij who scowled at me a bit.
"We have to go, we'll never find out what's inside if we don't go in."Tommy said.
"Says the kid at the back of the line." J.P. retorted failing to notice he was right next to Tommy, thus also in the back. Though maybe he did and simply didn't care knowing that we knew he did not want to go in. Takuya raised the knocker and clacked it against the door twice before pulling his hand back. There were a few moments of silence.
"Maybe no one lives here after all." Tommy looking around.
"You know, you should open a wishful thinking store Tommy." Takuya said and finally his D-Tector went off with a red light. It opened the door for us, but also introduced us to what might be a problem. I gave a shout as I ducked, the Wizardmon's staff nearly clipping me in the head as he stood defensively against us.
"Back, Cherubimon scum! Back!" He said seriously.
"Hey isn't that Wizardmon!" Takuya called.
"Yeah but he's a different color!" Yelled Tommy.
"And meaner!" JP said in agreement.
"We can take him!" Takuya said encouragingly as he helped be back up. "If we can take down Gigasmon this guy will be no different!"
"Wait, Gigasmon?" The Wizardmon asked in a confused tone, though his stance didn't waver. "Isn't he one of Cherubimon's pawns?"
"Ummm yeah." I answered him and he tilted his head a bit.
"So you do not work for Cherubimon." He stated more than asked.
"Are you kidding!" Zoe said with a scoff as if that was an insult and I guess for us it would be.
"Listen." I hear coming from behind me, Koji walks up front with Takuya and I with a strangely diplomatic face on. "Why don't you put down the staff. It's obvious," He said and place a hand on my shoulder and waved a hand over the rest of us. "We're on the same side."
"Good guys." I chirped in, holding my hand up. I was so proud of Koji. He was being so calm and collected, his head level. Wizardmon gave a sigh, sounding tired and wand down.
"This is what comes of too much fighting. Everyone begins to seem an enemy." He said quickly with a wave of his hand. "I apologise friends, but how did you find this place?"
"We all got a message to go to the forest terminal, but no one was there."Takuya started.
"So we kept walking." I added, explaining why they didn't stop there.
"Yeah and that's how we ended up here." Takuya said, finishing the short story. Wizardmon looked around at us kids, peering at each of us in turn. He then muttered something under his breath that I couldn't really make out.
"My solitude has driven common courtesy from me." He said louder this time. "I am Sorcerermon. Please come inside." He said bowing at the waist and waving his hand through the threshold. "I have something important to tell you." He said and with a flurry of his cape disappeared inside. I smiled and stepped over the doors border first, missing the nod shared by Koji and Takuya who followed after me. Soon the group was walking down a long hallway lined with windows overlooking the forest. I smiled at the beauty and felt a tinge of a familiar feeling. This feel like a homey place, somewhere that soaked up the love of the people living inside. Of course that was ruined by a certain dark haired companion of mine.
"Where are you leading us?" Koji questioned harshly. Well his moment of diplomacy is over and done with it seems.
"To meet someone." Sorcerermon said simply not turning to look at the group.
"I bet it's a trap."Koji huffed a bit.
"You think everythings a trap." Tommy and I said in perfect unison without looking at eachother. Koji turned red in the face and turned to yell at us before we came to a stop in front of a mirror.
"Caution is wise my friends, but only within reason." Our guide said softly said and finally turned to us, one hand hovering over the mirror. "This is no trap, but a prophecy." He clarified. We all gasped as the mirror moved open to be a door into a large empty space, like a church cathedral without the pews. The light was brilliant in the room, shining off the walls brightly and almost with a sharp intensity, if it wasn't for the soothing effect it also seemed to have.
"So where is this guy?" I asked as we moved to the middle of the room.
"Up there."Sorcerermon answered and pointed up. We all angled out heads in time with each other to see what seemed like a multi-winged angel like human digimon in a glass coffin on the ceiling. My green eyes widened at the sight of the magnificent and powerful looking creature. "May I introduce our salvation, Seraphimon."
"...Umm..."Zoe said after a few minutes of silence, shocking since I was in the group. "Are we supposed to know who that is?"
"I don't think so, but he sounds and seems really important" I murmured a bit with a shake of my head.
"Seraphimon was one of the Celestial Digimon chosen to rule this world."Sorcerermon answered, curing our ignorance.
"So what are we supposed to do?" Takuya said confused. "He's all frozen up."
"And all the way up there." I said straining my neck to see him from the center of the room.
"You see there is a prophecy..." Sorcerermon began but was interrupted by a familiar voice.
"Let your light shine as one!" The female voice, that originally came from our D-Tectors, echoed around us with a resonance only Rizumumon could appreciate.
"That was Lady Ophanimon, she's the one who put me in charge of guarding Seraphimon!" Sorcerermon said with awe.
"That's the voice that lead us here!" Takuya said as we all searched for the source of the voice.
"It's all falling into place!" Sorcerermon said in amazement. "I brought you here because it is said a group of wayward children shall free Seraphimon!" He explained.
"Typical!" Bokomon complained. "Human's get to do everything! When will it be my turn?"
"How about next week!" Neemon said cheerfully.
"You telling me you want to fight bad guys in extremely dangerous situations?" I mumbled a bit to him and he suddenly shook his head quickly. "That's what I thought."
"So what did she mean?" Koji said, his dark brow furrowing in thought. Zoe and JP stood behind us peering at their D-Tectors which emitted an odd noise once more.
"Do you think it has something to do without D-Tectors." Zoe asked everyone and then, as if on cue, the D-Tectors all started to glow. A beam of light shot out just as I pulled mine from my pocket. Everyone's did the same and we stood shocked for a moment.
"Everyone! Point it over here!" Takuya said as he shot his towards the ceiling at the coffin like structure holding Seraphimon. Soon after everyone followed in suit it blasted open and the large humanoid digimon began his descent down to our level.
"Lord Seraphimon! Welcome back!" Sorcerermon said, his voice filled with happiness.
"It's good to be back my faithful servant." Seraphimon said in a deep baritone that echoed in the room. "You have served me well, but tell me. There is so little I remember." He pleaded.
"My Lord." Sorcerermon said seriously. "When your demise seemed imminent Ophanimon got you to safety where she sealed you away, safe from harm, so that you can be revived after the trouble had passed."
"That's right! Ophanimon!" Seraphimon said with a slight gasp of remembrance. "Is she harmed? Why is she not here?!" He asked in a worried tone.
"The truth is often unpleasant." Sorcerermon said sadly, lowering his gaze. "Alas no one knows where she is. But these humans have been in contact with her! So hope is not lost." he said motioning to us. Seraphimon turned to us and I gulped. Gosh he was big. I lifted my hand in a small wave.
"Hi." I said slowly and Koji elbows me.
"These humans? But they are only children!" Seraphimon said in a non-believing tone.
"Yes but they are also Legendary Warriors!" Bokomon said, stepping forward to defend us. "And if it wasn't for them you'd still be stuck to the ceiling!" He said raising a fist. Woah...Bokomon you really do care.
"Legendary Warriors? Impressive." He stated and sure did sound impressed.
"Listen!" Takuya said seriously, sounding a bit irked. "Just what is going on here! We've been lead around, getting the snot kicked out of us, and we don't even know why we were brought into this mess in the first place!"
"Yeah someone owes us some answers." Zoe said catching on to the rising anarchy.
"And I think that someone is you." Koji finished. "So tell us what's going on!" He demanded.
"Umm Please?" Tommy continued sweetly trying to make up for Koji's rude attitude. I raised my hand up a bit. I mouthed sorry up to the big guy, you attract more flies with honey as they say. Also...big bad digimon guys. Be nice or he might crush us.
"Very well brave ones, I will tell you." He said, and it sounded like he was smiling. "You wish to know and you will. It begins long ago when Human Digimon and Beast Digimon fought against each other. Thier battles caused destruction to the digital world, defiling what was once beautiful and pure. Then Lucemon appeared and brought an end to the fighting, because once he ruled in peace. But soon he was corrupted by his own power..."
"Wow this story sure sounds familiar..." Bokomon mumbled and we all scolded him at once.
"The eleven Legendary Warrior's arose to free the oppressed and abused Digimon. They fought hard and bravely and after a long battle they defeated Lucemon. After the peace returned, Champions were chosen to keep that peace. Cherubimon, Ophanimon, and my self." Seraphimon said sounding a bit prideful. "But like before our time of harmony was cut short. Cherubimon wanted to rule the digital world by himself and so attacked me...and you know the rest thanks to Sorcerermon. Ophanimon brought me here where I have slumbered and regained my strength until you Legendary Warrior's awoke me."
"And it is in good fortune that you have come when we needed it most!" Sorcerermon informed. "As you can see..." He said and held out his staff in a flat position. A holographic image seemed to appear of a world that looked somewhat similar to ours, except large pieces seemed to be gorged out of it, leaving it marred and damaged, especially if it could be seen from so far out as space.
"Man the world looks like swiss cheese." Takuya said and I nodded in agreement but was speechless. What kind of effects would that have on the ecosystems of millions of Digimon?
"Yes and it will only get worse." Sorcerermon said. "Cherubimon has sent out his minions to take fractal codes, slowly destroying it piece by piece."
"It is worst than I thought." Seraphimon said and turned to his companion. "We must find Ophanimon at once."
"Yes with your combined might you should be able to defeat Cherubimon once and for all. And...you'll have my help..." Sorcerermon said seriously, looking up at his Lord. "While you have slept it feels as if I have too, and all I have dreamt of is fighting alongside you to defeat that corrupt monster."
"Dear, brave, Sorcerermon. You are a true friend. Thank you" Seraphimon said bowing his head in gratitude. "Your courage gives me strength." Wow...bromance at maximum level here.
"It is only as you have taught me." Sorcermon said, as humble as always.
"And for you as well, young warriors." Seraphimon said looking at us. "If not for your bravery this would be impossible." We all beamed in pride. "But I have one more favor to ask of you all. Before the fighting begins I ask you return to your own world." He said and we all gasped, our smiles turning into frowns. "It is much too dangerous for you here." I looked down at the ground. I felt proud of what we've done so far but I felt a little...darkness in my heart. This couldn't be it could it? It feels as if our journey has just started and now it is ending. I mean I miss my parents, my dog, and everything but...I'll miss the adventure I guess. It's like tasting the forbidden fruit. Once you experience something like this...going back to normal life just seems impossible. As soon as I answered that text...saying yes...I opened pandora's box, taking a step into something horrible...and yet so wonderful. When we all go back, will I lose them? My friends?
"What?! But we're Legendary Warriors!" Takuya said in a slightly child-being- scolded- tone.
"Yeah! We can't stop now!" Zoe said.
Will I be alone again?...No..I don't want this to end...I want to stay.
I wish this wouldn't end.
As if on cue a loud crash sounded on the other side of the wall where the hidden entrance was located. I gave a call and jumped back. A familiar broken speech filled the air as four figures entered the room. One of course was Grumblemon, but the other four I didn't recognize. "Oh good! Whole brat brigade is here!"
"Yeah and ready to fight!" Takuya said and got into position. She all tensed ready for a so down.
"Good! Cause now I introduce other Digimon who defeat you!" He said then motioned to a feminine looking Digimon. She was pretty to be honest, well curved and the blue shade of her skin reminded me of the ocean. But like I said, the ocean holds hidden dangers. "Ranamon."
"Charmed I'm sure!" She spoke in a old southern bell type accent.
"Arbormon!" Grumblemon said next. It was a larger more harsher looking Digimon. He seemed to be made of gears and other machine like devices.
"You're in for it now." He said, his accent being a brooklyn type.
"And last but not least, Mercurymon!" Grumblemon finished.
"So these beth the whelps that has given the such trouble? Pha" He said in an old english leer and scoffed at our tiny human bodies."Pathetic!"
"Well they tougher than they look."Grumblemon...grumbled.
"Obviously." Mercurymon said smoothly, obviously the brains and leader of the group. "It would be utter delight to defeat the and hand over Seraphimon's defeat to Cherubimon's name.
"Enough of your meaningless taunts!" Seraphimon shouted. "Tell us where Ophanimon is...now!" He demanded.
"Me don't care about her!" Grumblemon shouted raising his hammer. "Me just want Beast Spirit back! So give me it back!"
"Why don't you come and get it!" Takuya said jumping forward.
"Yeah!" The rest of us with spirit's (sorry Z) said, stepping forward at the ready. "Execute! Spirit Evolution!
"Agunimon!"
"Lobomon!"
"Rizumumon!"
"Beetlemon!"
"Kumamon!"
"The Legendary Warriors have returned!" Sorcerermon said as Zoe backed up with a whimper that was a mix of fear and aggravation.
"If that old wart hadn't taken my spirit I'd show him a thing or two!" She said.
"Yeah well I did and now I show you a thing or three!" Grumblemon said and Agunimon growled.
"Are you sure you don't want to get fired up first?" He said and slammed his fists together. "Pyro Darts!" he yelled and tossed them at the enemy, who simply dodged.
"OH he's feisty!" Ranamon said with a grin.
"Howling Laser." Lobomon yelled and shot his wrist gun.
"Might as well be shooting at the floor sugar." Ranamon said and dodged that as well.
"Pulsing Rhythmatics!" I called as I shot towards the larger Arbormon who only laughed at me.
"Little girl thinks she can take me on?" He laughed and sung at me which I barely dodged.
"How about me then?! Thunder Fist!" Beetlemon said and came slamming down towards the guys head, who only spun out of the way as Kumamon attacked Grumblemon with a Crystal Freeze attack.
"Thanks for the overwhelmingly underwhelming lesson in combat!" Ranamon said with a high and mighty voice. "Let me show you how it's done!" She said and raised her hands above her head, palm to palm. "Draining Rain!" She called and a black cloud formed above her and shot out over us, dousing us in a rainstorm that seemed to drain our energy.
"Roundhouse Punt!" Arbormon He yelled and his leg detached in the middle of what seemed to be a roundhouse kick, it sung out and took each of us out with ease, crashing us into the wall and falling into a pile.
"That was too easy!" Ranamon snickered as they landed in front of us.
"Right?" Arbormon said with a snicker.
"Well ,go get your beast spirit rock head, fetch!" Ranamon laughed at Grumblemon who sneered at her as he came forward to smash us, mainly Agunimon, to pieces
"Be careful or you might be the one I smash next Ranamon!" He growled at her but was interrupted before he could swing.
"Grumblemon no! Don't do this!" Sorcerermon yelled taking a step forward.
"I beg your pardon?" Mercurymon asked him.
"I have waited a lifetime for peace to be restored to the digital realm and I will not stand idly by while you destroy our last hope!" Sorcermon yelled, confidence in his tone. "Crystal Barragie!" He telled and shot white crystals over to Mercurymon who snickered, and blocked it with one arm mirror.
"Dark Reflection!" He yelled raising the other one and returning the attack which cut Sorcerermon down with ease.
"Sorcerermon!" Yelled Seraphimon, who caught his companion as he fell.
"Worry not, My Lord." The smaller digimon answered him. Mercurymon snickered and began approaching the two.
"Have at you!" He yelled as he began a charge, but Seraphimon flew out of reach and over to us. He stood protectively in front of us as the enemy looked at him shocked.
"Strike of The Seven Stars!" He yelled and attacked. His attack was amazing, causing serious damage to several targets at once. I could see why he was one of the 'Champion' Digimon. He soon turned to us. "I beg of you once more, please return to your own world! Leave this to me!"
"There's no way we'll leave!" Kumamon yelled at him.
"Yeah and even if we wanted to, we don't know how!" Beetlemon said seriously.
"I can't fight them and keep you safe. You must go!" Seraphimon yelled, exasperated with us. The enemy was coming at us again.
"Are you kidding?! You can't fight that guy on your own! You just woke up!" Agunimon said as we stood.
"You need us!" Lobomon said to him seriously.
"Let us help you!" I cried, feeling a pain shoot through my chest. I wished for this...I actually wished for this. How could I be so stupid!
"This foolish compassion be his weakness!" Mercurymon suddenly yelled out. "Attack the humans and keep him busy!"
"We should be fighting them not each other!"Sorcerermon yelled.
"Fine by us, we fight good!" Grumblemon yelled and soon the three enemy digimon all pulled out their attacks at once. Seraphimon stood in front of us about to perform his attack once more when Mercurymon appeared in front of his companions.
"Strike of The Seven Stars!"
"Dark Reflection!"
"No!"
I don't remember who screamed, maybe it was me or Zoe. Heck it might have been one of the boys. All I know is that we had to stand there and watch as Seraphimon was reduced down into an egg by his own attack.
"Seraphimon turned into a Digi-Egg!" Agunimon called out in horror.
"Oh ho! How ironic!" Mercurymon laughed. "Seraphimon planned to defeat Cherubimon and now his fractal code will help in our takeover of the Digital World!"
"No it can't be!" Sorcermon said on the path leading to a serious mental breakdown. "The hope for the digital world is gone!"
"No it's not!" Zoe yelled suddenly as she jumped in between the two opposing groups and snatched the egg from the air. She began running towards us. "Maybe we can bring Seraphimon back if we have his digi-egg right Sorcerermon?!" She yelled and the digimon looked up quickly.
"Yes! We must protect that egg at all costs!" He screamed as Zoe ran towards us.
"Oh ho you won't get very far!" Mercurymon said as they followed after Zoe. I growled and shot into the air, curving around to snatch Zoe and and the Egg up into my arms. She zoomed forward in a hurry to get her far from these guys. I came to a skidding stop as I held the girl in my arms. The others gathered around us, forming a barrier between the egg and the enemy.
"We have to get the egg to Ophanimon! She might be able to revive Seraphimon!"Sorcermon said as the enemy closed in on us.
"ALright come and get it!" Beetlemon yelled.
"Be not stupid." Mercurymon countered and motioned for his companions to move in.
"What are you chicken?!"Beetlemon snapped back. They were getting closer and closer to us.
"Yeah you metal head!" Zoe snapped and she clutched the egg tighter to her chest.
"You fate is sealed then, we shall take it by slow, agonizing, painful force!" He yelled as Sorcermon felt along the wall.
"Arrogance will be your downfall!" Sorcerermon yelled and suddenly there was a loud shatter behind us and a blinding light. "Move! There's a door." He hissed to us and we all de-digivolved back into our human forms so we could fit through the otherwise tiny door. We rushed down the stairs and through the tight corridor. You know, being chased by someone who wants to kill you over the egg, really helps with temporarily getting over extreme claustrophobia. Funny right? Because right now this small and dark hallway is my best friend!
"This way!" Sorcerermon yelled to us as he lead us.
"No duh!" JP yelled in front of me.
"Not now!" I yelled at him as I panted. God we were going to have muscular legs after this adventure. An explosion sounded behind us and Koji and I looked back.
"We're coming to get you~!" Grumblemon cheered as they raced behind us. Koji's eyes widened and his teeth clenched. our hands grasped together out of habit and we both picked up one of the small digimon running in front of us. She held onto Neemon as he clung to me for dear life. We came to a stop in front of the door, panting as Sorcerermon pressed a button.
"Escape through here!" Sorcerermon yelled as it slid open to reveal a yellow-mole like Trailmon. It was situated in a long underwater tunnel.
"Wow a get away Trailmon!" JP yelled.
"Perfect! Let's go!" Takuya said and we all ran out boarding the train. I put Neemon in the compartment and Koji handed me Bokomon. Koji then went around to the opposite side of Takuya, clinging to the side of the Trailmon so they could scout for danger ahead. I helped Tommy on before jumping up my self. I did a head count and froze.
"Sorcerermon hurry up!" Zoe yelled at the stationary Digimon at the door.
"I'm not coming." He said seriously with a shake of his head.
"What?! What do you mean?" I yelled at him. "Get on the Trailmon! We need you!" I cried to him, tears filling my eyes.
"The eggs safety is all that matters. I must protect it no matter what! Now go!" Sorcerermon yelled seriously and I gave a cry as I saw the enemy appear behind him.
"You don't stand a chance!" Takuya yelled as I began to move to the edge of the Trailmon.
"Take care of Seraphimon" He ordered us. "He is our only hope." He said softly as the door slid closed.
"No! We won't leave you!" Tommy cried, but the Trailmon did start forward. I gave a cry and made a move to jump off the Trailmon and go back but JP snatched me up into his big arms.
"Are you insane!?" He yelled at me as the Trailmon picked up amazing speed.
"SORCERERMON!" Tommy cried out in tears as we flew farther and farther away from the friendly Digimon who just gave his life to buy us some time.
"Tommy that isn't helping."Zoe said to him sadly as she collapsed to her knees."I...I can't believe that this is the only thing left of Seraphimon." She said as if in shock. "I'm never going to let this go." She whispered in hushed tones, voice cracking. I felt silent tears falling as JP held on to me.
"That thing might be the most important thing in the Digital World right now."Takuya called to us. "It's it's only hope! So all of Cherubimon's forces are going to be gunning for it. We have to protect it at all costs! We won't let Sorcerermon's sacrifice be in vain. I hate to say it but it looks like it's up to us guys!"
I looked down and bit my lip as we moved further and further from the scene of our greatest defeat yet.
...
I had finally calmed down when JP sat me down in the corner of the Trailmon, sitting next to me.
"I know you want to sit by Zoe, you don't have to stay with me." I said softly looking away from him.
"I'm fine sitting with you. I mean, we're friends too right? Koji can't hog you all to himself now can he?" JP said trying to joke but I wasn't in the mood. "Okay, what's up with you? You usually get sad after a defeat like that but never this bad. You're always the one to stand up and say 'Well at least we're all alive and together!'"
"...but we're not all alive and together this time..." I mumbled as I leaned by head back against the wall. "And it's all my fault." I whispered.
"What? What are you talking about. You didn't do anything wrong. None of us did!" He insisted but I shook my head.
"You don't understand...I wished this would happen.."I said softly and he looked confused.
"You wished we'd be attacked?" He asked slowly.
"No...I wished this wouldn't end so soon. I didn't want to...lose everyone just yet." I said softly. "I was so selfish! I shouldn't have thought that!" I said clamping my hands over my ears. I felt JP shift next to me and grip my wrists, pulling them from my ears.
"Listen, you didn't do anything wrong! SO you wanted to spend more time with us? That doesn't seem so wrong or bad! Stop beating yourself up over something stupid like that!" JP said for once being wise with his words and being serious. "Now stop that or I'll tell Koji on you." He said and released me.
"I...I was still selfish." I said though my argument lost a lot of strength.
"Yeah well, we all are. We're just kids." JP said with a shrug. "Well you guys are, I'm a young adult."
"Ummm we're all young adults..."I pointed out.
"...I'm the oldest." He argued.
"So? Maturity is what matters here." I snickered and he scowled.
"Ouch Neru, Ouch!" He said gripping his heart.
"...Hey JP."
"Yeah?"
"Thanks."
...
