It's been around 2-3 months since I last updated. Yeah, sorry...and I didn't update during my Thanksgiving Break. Sigh. Guys, wish your free time good-bye when you're a Junior...
Well, at least you guys can read the end of the arc! And yay, new character finally introduced! Yuugure, I choose you! And no, this character isn't the last one to be introduced. More work on my hands.
My bad, guys. I totally forgot to write in the penguins! The only time they appeared was when they had to turn into the instruments for the Prism Lives! OMG, how could I forget! They will now be in the story more! Hopefully I don't forget again...
And polygamy isn't allowed in Japan. A person can't have two wives, and the mistress and wife thing isn't really appropriate to put in Pretty Rhythm. I know that dark stuff will be appearing from now on, and that violence will happen (not anything gory, so no worries). But I don't want to put in sexual themes with a wife/mistress thing. So whoever out there wanted this, sorry! Don't want Kazuki, Ann, and Wakana breaking the law...
Chapter 10 Everything Begins to Unravel (Epilogue and Start of Arc 2)
The Prism Stone trio was a little disappointed that they placed second. However, they agreed to try even harder and strive for first. With many words of encouragement to one another, they began packing their things to leave Dear Crown. Penguins were flying around in the air, only to pay attention to their owners.
"Oh, well, at least we'll be able to perform at Heartbeat Days Session!" Nothing could get Hanako's spirits down today. Her excitement and happiness could be bouncing off walls. Nothing could control her feelings.
"It may just be an encore performance, but I expect all of us to not slack off or anything!"
"Of course not, Aurora-san! We'll all try our best in everything!" Ume pumped a fist in the air.
"Yeah! What Ume-chan said!" Hanako agreed, also thrusting a punch into the air. As she did, Hanako accidentally dropped her bag onto the floor. Everything spilled out. Lovelyn sat on her head, unable and unwilling to help do something.
"Whoops. That's the sixth time, and it's been only five minutes..." She felt pretty out of it. It was as though her mind wasn't there sometimes.
"Hana," Haiiro opened the door to enter the room, "are you ready to go?" All three penguins rushed toward him. Lovelyn took over his head while the other two resided on a shoulder. He didn't mind, letting them do whatever they wanted.
"Wonder why they all love him so much," all the girls thought.
Hanako spun around and saw her favorite silver haired boy. "Hai Hai! Thanks for coming to pick me up! But, I, uh, dropped some stuff. Again."
"No problem," he replied and reached down to help her put everything back inside her bag. The birds tried extremely hard to stay in their comfortable positions. "Yoshino-san said that she would make anything you wanted for dinner today. What do you want? We're going to have to pick it up at a market or something."
"Really? Then let's have sushi for dinner and wasabi kit kats for desert!"
Haiiro's face paled quickly. "...Let's get something else."
"Huh? Why?"
"Oh, um, we could eat it some other day. How about asking for something Yoshino-san rarely makes?"
"Then we can just go around and see what's good. That's a great idea Hai Hai! You're the best!"
Haiiro sighed with relief. "Great. Why don't you get the rest of your things and we'll go?"
"Okay!" Leaving, Hanako didn't notice Aurora and Ume closing in on Haiiro.
"So, why aren't you letting Hana-chan eat what she wants? Sushi is a healthier alternative compared to other meat products." Aurora proceeded to remove a Poppun that was happily perched on Haiiro. She had little difficulty getting her penguin off.
"Yeah, um, Haiiro-san. You won't get her to confess to you or anything. Good move though. You must really not like sushi or something." Likewise, Ume had to take Kurun back. But she didn't have to use any strength. She was plenty strong.
Haiiro shook his head, causing Lovelyn to trill in protest. "Hana really likes weird tasting food. She smothers everything in wasabi and feeds me some of it. She really likes to give me food for some reason." He lightly patted his stomach. "Good thing I have high metabolism."
"Cute!" Ume squealed. She punched his arm weak enough for it to not hurt. A struggling Kurun couldn't break away from her grasp. "Good job!"
"At what? I do the same to Hana. It's a mutual exchange. Good thing she has high metabolism too."
"..."
Suddenly, Aurora and Ume went to the other side of the room and began whispering to one another. They ignored their penguins' cry of wanting to be with Haiiro and focused on their issue. Confused, he stared at them with blank eyes from across the room.
"Aurora-san, is it possible for someone to be this oblivious?"
"I don't know. It's a first for me. I thought things like this only happened in anime or manga." She resorted to hugging Poppun tightly to prevent him from running back to Haiiro. Ume still had Kurun under one arm, wings flailing.
"Shouldn't we help them out?"
"Yes, but only if you have a way to make Haiiro-san fall in love with her. He's treating her like a younger sister. It's hard to change a relationship that's already been established."
"But Hana-san really loves him. She's head over heels!"
"Of course. But their relationship isn't going any where since Hana-chan goes all tsundere and denies her feelings in front of Haiiro-san. He doesn't understand and takes her words without understanding the deeper meaning behind them."
"Wow. This has been going for how long?"
"Two years, if Hana-chan's words are correct."
"No offense to Hana-san, but I don't see any hope."
An unwanted voice intruded the conversation. "What about me?"
Hanako had leaned in between their heads, but she only heard her name. Her eyes were gleaming with curiosity.
"Me too." Haiiro joined in by placing his head right next to Hanako's. He felt Hanako grow stiff, and turned to face her. Lovelyn had flown back on his head since he moved too quickly and spontaneously for her to know Haiiro would do so.
Their eyes met. Shining blue eyes shook in front of dull, steady violet ones. Haiiro saw Hanako's face transform as her original skin tone was enveloped by pink and red. Her mouth slowly opened, and a look of extreme surprise and embarrassment was apparent.
"Hai Hai! What do you think you're doing?!"
"What are you talking about, Hana?" He replied, unable to comprehend her love for him. "I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. I'm joining in the conversation by following your actions."
As she stared at him with a face that was going to tell him to stop, Haiiro did something unexpected.
Leaning in, he gave Hanako a quick peck on her lips.
"WHOA! HAIIRO-SAN!" Ume was taken aback by the sudden development.
"Haiiro-san, you're very...bold." Unable to say anything else, Aurora was at a loss for words.
"Ah, I can't-you-what-I-I-l-l-lo-lo-Why?!" Hanako, unable to confess, chose to ask the reason why Haiiro kissed her. She backed away a few feet.
"Hm?" He was almost unable to say anything due to his confusion. "Was that wrong to do? On television, there was this show that said you give a kiss to the girl you like the most. The girl I like and know the most is Hana. I thought it was the perfect time..."
"But, you didn't do it out of love, right?" Hanako didn't want to get her hopes up. She didn't feel well and began to massage her head with her hand.
"...Love?"
"Yeah. You do that kind of stuff with the person you love. You know, the person...you want to...spend your whole life with..."
Everyone began to notice that Hanako was definitely not looking healthy. To them, it looked as though her skin got pale in a single second. Her hand was on her head, and she leaned into it as if she had a horrible headache. The usually brilliant eyes filled with so much cheer were closed off to the world.
"Huh? I wonder why...I don't feel...so good...all of a...sudden..."
And, as she uttered those words, Hanako fainted.
"Hana!" A once-in-a-lifetime and frightening expression of worry and fear overcame Haiiro's face as he caught her before she could even touch the floor.
"Hana-chan!" Aurora, her faithful friend, rushed over while pulling out a phone from her bag. "I'll call 119!"
"Hana-san!" Ume ran to Hanako, but she had no idea what to do. It was one of the few times she felt utterly useless, and it pained her heart. A feeling of depression overtook her.
Poppun and Kurun were let go, and all penguins went wild. They sporatically flew around the unconscious Hanako and distressed Haiiro.
"DON'T CALL AN AMBULANCE!" Haiiro shouted at Aurora, causing her to flinch at the sudden display of emotion and urgency. He hoisted Hanako on his back. "I'll take her to a hospital, everything will be alright!"
He dashed out of the room, leaving a stunned Aurora, Ume, and birds.
. . .
Hajime was out of breath, panting. Wearing his disguise once more, he managed to not let himself be known among the cheering crowd. This time, Hajime purposely messed up his usually straight hair even more just to look different. He was very proud of himself for blending into the crowd nicely and making it on time to his best friend's, and rival's, Prism Show.
In front of him was a sixteen year-old performing. Being his childhood friend, Yuugure Miles was the same age as the renowned Prism King. Even the world knew that the two were extremely close.
The also famed Miles had a dark brown hair that resembles a shade barely lighter than dark chocolate. Unlike Hajime's straight hair, unless the King didn't care about it, Yuugure's hair was wavy, and some stuck out various places like a bad case of bed hair. If it was ever as dark as the night sky, his hair would look as black as Hajime's. Yuugure's face was not marred by any scars, bearing no permanent injuries similar to the one under his friend's left eye. However, there was a black teardrop painted below his right eye for the performance. His body was thin, and Yuugure had a frail-looking build. However, he was tall, but Hajime was taller than him by at least two or three inches.
He had stormy gray eyes that could pierce the soul if a person was too indulged into his Prism Show. His outfit only complemented the idea further. It consisted of a black t-shirt with one short sleeve and the other long enough to reach his left wrist. The area around the neck was large, causing the shirt to hang off the edges of his shoulders. It was also ripped several places, only to show a dark gray undershirt. The straps of it were visible from the shoulders that were almost uncovered by black. His pants were a similar color to the undershirt and had tears at the knees. Designs of nightmarish, raven-colored hands snaked down the sides. He had on boot-like skates, short enough to see the pants design fully.
(Yuugure's song is Unravel by TK from Ling Tosite Sigure, from the anime Tokyo Ghoul! It's a great show, but those who do not like gore, mature themes, and torture should definitely not watch it!)
Oshiete oshiete yo sono shikumi o
Please tell me, oh please just tell me, the way this works.
Boku no naka ni dare ga iru no?
Just who is it that lies inside of me?
Kowareta kowareta yo kono sekai de
Here in this broken-down, broken-down world,
Kimi ga warau nanimo miezu ni
you're laughing, blind to it all.
Hajime cheered as loud as he could, hoping that Yuugure could hear him. He wondered if his friend could even recognize him in the disguise. He realized that this outfit, fake glasses, and hat were a perfect combination! Just as long as he didn't give himself away like always, it worked the best out of all of his disguises.
If Hajime had to say the biggest difference of their styles were that Hajime was a lot more focused on charisma and emanating coolness. Yuugure's was purposely frightening and quiet to bring a puppet-like feel. A scary Halloween comes in any season.
At the first line of the song, Yuugure didn't budge, only for his back to face the crowd. During the second, he turned around and began to dance. His arms were either rigid or moved in quick motions. His movements in general were quick to change positions, only to dance slowly after that. The dance seemed sporadic, but each move somehow flowed well together. His breathy, high ranged voice gave a chill and entranced his audience.
The only thing Hajime was confused about was that Yuugure's song was different, and his dance changed. However, he decided to support his friend.
Kowareta boku nante sa iki o tomete
I'm just so broken-down anyway, so I halt my breath.
Hodokenai mou hodokenai yo shinjitsu sae freeze
Unravel, but it won't unravel, and you can see the truth freeze.
Kowaseru kowasenai kurueru kuruenai
I'm breakable, unbreakable; logical, illogical
Anata o mitsukete
Among them all I search for you.
Before the chorus arrived, Yuugure turned to the crowd, covering his eyes. The stage turned black and white. Gray smoke crawled out and engulfed the stage. The moment the singing returned, he parted his fingers for his eyes to be seen. Only when he sang a little more did Yuugure uncover his face and continue to dance.
Yureta yuganda sekai ni dandan boku wa sukitotte mienakunatte
In this shaking twisted world, I'm gradually turning more and more transparent; till I can't be seen.
Mitsukenaide boku no koto o mitsumenaide
Don't look for me; no, don't look back at me. Don't look at me.
Dareka ga egaita sekai no nake de anata o kizutsuketaku wa nai yo
In this world that someone else imagined, I simply don't wish to hurt you.
Oboetete boku no koto o
So please just remember me
Azayaka na mama
As vivid as I used to be.
"Night Splash!"
Behind Yuugure, a large black star appeared. With it, black and white dots appeared in a variety of sizes. Some exploded into stars very similar to the large one behind him. He landed on the ground with a ghost of a sound, and continued skating.
"Second Jump, Vampire Mist!"
Cloudiness overtook the stage until only fog could be seen. From it, hundreds of bat swarmed out, screeching and flapping their wings. They merged together, forming a wispy, shadowy mass. This mass solidified and took shape of a cloaked figure. The clock had no hood, and Yuugure had his face partially covered like an antagonist, using his arm and long sleeve to cover the eyes. A smile revealed teeth resembling a vampire, and a deep chuckle reverberated. Quickly, Yuugure swept the cloak up and around him as he turned to face away from the crowd. Turning into bats once more, they converged on the audience and exploded into black smoke the moment the bats made contact with a person.
As the fog and smoke faded away, the sight of Yuugure dancing and skating continued. He soared through the stage, only to enter the air once more.
"Third Jump, Unravel!"
Red yarns appeared, grabbing hold of Yuugure and throwing him into darkness. They knotted around him, surrounding him in various weaves and styles. He tried to break free, only for more to block all of his escape routes. Eventually, there was no way out, and the red continued to materialize into view. They crisscrossed and interwove until Yuugure couldn't be seen anymore. After a few more blockades appeared, the yarn swiftly unraveled in ripples. Yuugure was gone, and everything faded.
Yuugure was continuing to skate. He gave another small jump, and he prepared his finale.
"Fourth Jump, Puppet's Life!"
Suddenly, a stage seen at theaters with the familiar red curtains appeared, replacing the Prism Show stage. Strings hooked themselves around Yuugure's arms and legs, and the wooden sticks that formed above him were attached to them. Like a puppet at a show, the sticks were tugged and pulled in an array of directions. As a result, he moved stiffly and his limbs acted as though they had no strength of their own to resist. Yuugure was seen dancing like a puppet, and each movement was jerky and looked inhuman. Creepily, Yuugure has a smile the whole time, and his eyes did not blink. Resembling a real puppet until the end, Yuugure finished the jump as the wooden sticks looked as though it forced him to bow. The red curtains came to a close, and mysterious clapping not from the audience could be heard echoing around the room.
As the jump ended, Yuugure was seen standing stage. He gave a low bow, and the crowd went wild as they enjoyed the show.
. . .
Yuugure exited the building, disguised. He took his sweet time forcing his hair to stay straight, and his black color contacts hid his turbulent gray eyes. Covering all of his hair was a long, caramel wig. Also, Yuugure had a white knee-length skirt and a baggy, sleeveless black dress shirt. A white beanie with a large ribbon to the right side donned his head. Low, white spotted black heels tapped slowly on the pavement. His face was caked with enough makeup to give him the feminine touches that would hide any masculinity. A large handbag containing his normal shoes and several male clothing hung in his hand. On Yuugure's back was a fairly big backpack.
There was no question. He had flawlessly disguised himself as a teenage girl.
"Yuu! It's been a while! How was it at America?" Hajime took his backpack away. He hooked an arm around his friend's, and the other was busy rolling Yuugure's large travel case to play the part of a gentleman and a friend.
Yuugure teasingly flipped his fake hair, and he easily walked alongside his friend. "It was very nice. How have you been Hajime?"
He flashed a cheeky smile. "Great! Your performance was as great as always!"
"No, yours is. You're Prism King after all." Yuugure shook his head, but he had an understanding and proud smile.
The pair headed into a small cafe. They tended to avoid big places out of habit. They set all of Yuugure's things to the side, and he slipped in next to his things. Hajime took the other side of the table, and the two enjoyed cake and coffee.
"Jeez, I wish I could stop having to cross-dress. So annoying." Yuugure daintily sipped his black coffee to not ruin his makeup. He hungrily ate his cake without any signs of stopping, only to order many more.
"But you can't help it, right? People will easily recognize you since you have brown hair and gray eyes. No one in Japan has eyes like that. It's a dead giveaway. Besides, you're hiding most of your American and male facial features with all that makeup." Yuugure had lots of sugar and hazelnut added to his coffee, and he ordered the sweetest things the cafe could create.
Yuugure gave him a small glare. "Yeah. Because having black hair and golden eyes with a scar on your face is very common in Japan."
"He he he. What can I say? People just can't tell who I am when I am awesomely disguised." Hajime pushed the glasses up his face for the umpteenth time.
Rolling his eyes, the cross-dressed boy sarcastically answered his friend. "It's probably the glasses that cover that ugly mug of yours."
Hajime gave him a mischievous wink. "If I'm ugly, then you're hideous!"
"Hardy har har. I'm pretty sure it's the opposite. Right now, I'm the pretty model-like girl who could surely score any guy on the street." Just to prove his point, Yuugure couldn't help but offer a flirty wink and hand wave to two passing teenage boys. They stared for a few seconds and quickly left, blushing.
Hajime lobbed his straw wrapper, hitting Yuugure. "Dude, really? You didn't have to show me. Made me forget that you were you for a sec."
Yuugure smirked. "Your punishment."
"Sorry to bring this up so suddenly, I need to tell you something. It's really serious." Hajime gave his friend a look that warranted listening.
"What is it?" Yuugure was a little unnerved. He could count all the times Hajime was ever serious with less than ten fingers.
"Sora's back. Well, not exactly. It's pretty hard to explain. Even I don't know all the details."
. . .
Akira was at home, alone as usual. As he was in the kitchen to cook dinner, Akira counted the days his mother would come back home in his head. She was almost always elsewhere or overseas to perform violin concerts or conduct an orchestra herself. However, Akira didn't mind too much. He hated to admit, but he was used to both his parents not being home.
But Akira still loved them no matter what. Even he wished for the days where at least one of them could come home. It was a miracle to have both of them together. Living in a large house with no one else easily gave him a lonely feeling from time to time.
He remembered that Grandmother had wanted her to take over Grandfather's company, but father had done that instead. Grandma was pleased to see her son live a great life before she passed away three years ago. Sora had comforted Akira since he remembered crying.
Before he could be lost in his many thoughts, Lockon came over and plopped on his head. Bringing him back to reality, Akira quickly took him off. They stared at each other as Akira began squishing his stomach with his thumbs.
"Hey, you do know that I'm trying to make some food, right?" Several more squishes. At the same time, Starn came over to join the fun.
"Star, star!" She trilled, flying around him.
"Lockon!" The orange penguin squirmed happily in his arms.
"You're such a weird one." With one final squish, Akira let him go. Just as his penguin returned to his head, the loud sound of the doorbell echoed throughout the house.
Turning off the stove, Akira rushed to the front door. He was used to the constant visitors because it was a good sign. His father would be staying home tonight.
Ecstatic, Akira arrived in less than thirty seconds, leaving the two penguins behind. Taking a deep breath and relaxing, he opened the doors only to automatically try and close it.
At the door was Keiji who Akira hasn't seen in years. With the blue-haired teen was the one and only Himuro Hijiri.
As if he knew exactly what Akira was going to do, Keiji immediately thrust his foot and stopped the door from completely closing. Predictably, he felt like his foot was getting smashed.
"Ow."
"Keiji! Are you alright?" Hijiri tried to check if he really was.
Keiji brushed him off. "Yes, Himuro Hijiri. I'm very sure my foot that is currently dying is fine. Thanks for asking."
Reluctantly, Akira let them in without a word. He always wanted to meet Keiji again, but Himuro Hijiri was dead last on his list.
"...You guys hungry?" Akira continued to the kitchen while his guests sat in the large living room. They both took separate couches, and a table was in between the big green seats.
The moment the two made themselves comfortable, Lockon and Starn flew toward Keiji and sat on his lap.
"Hey, little ones. It's been a while." He began play with them or do whatever they seemed to request without getting up from his seat. It was probably the one of the few times Hijiri saw him be kind to anyone or anything else other than Sora and Akira.
"Dinner's ready." Akira approached the two with miso soup, fish, and a couple of side dishes balanced and easily held in his hands and on his head. He placed one set in front of Keiji easily, but Hijiri's took a while as Akira hesitated to be close to him.
As he took his meal to the table, Akira wasted no time deciding to sit next to Keiji. His brother-like figure looked pleased to see the owner of Lockon wanted to be with him.
There was an awkward silence as the three ate their food. The only sound reverberating around the room was the sound of utensils moving. Every now and then, Akira or Keiji would give in and feed the penguins whatever they wanted.
"Kei-nii." Akira wanted to break the tension. At this moment, he hated the quiet since people were actually in his home. "What are you doing here?"
"Oh, Akira. Will you help me as the caretaker of Lockon?" Keiji said this quite indifferently, but the look in his eyes seemed to be filled with a turbulence of emotion. He didn't want to scare one of the few people he cared about.
"With what? Is there something wrong?"
"Sora. I need you to help me find him. Also, I need people who own the other six colored birds to help me complete my mission." Keiji didn't want to sugar-coat his words. He believed in honesty even if the truth hurt. But Keiji felt as though Sora being alive shouldn't hurt Akira.
Akira dropped his chopsticks, and he turned toward Keiji with wide eyes. His mouth opened up and down, and Akira even punched himself to make sure it wasn't a dream. Words could not come out.
Gently placing a hand on his shoulder, Keiji repeated the fact that Sora was alive once more.
Akira placed his hands on his face, shielding it away from Hijiri and Keiji. He was shaking, and his voice came out rapidly. His voice gradually grew louder as he began to say whatever was on his mind. "Oh, thank God, thank God! He was alive this whole time! I-I-I wasn't sure, and it's was my fault!"
"Of what?" Keiji put a comforting arm around Akira, but he didn't allow himself to hug one of his "younger brothers." Keiji remembered Sora and Akira were the ones who liked initiating hugs, not receiving them.
"I thought Sora was dead! Almost every day, I couldn't help but visit the places he usually visited, especially the playground! I, I, I just-
"Hey, it's okay to cry. No need to be tough." Keiji couldn't understand humans sometimes, despite being similar to them in body and mind.
"Prism World only had June-san, Rin...Mother, Goddess, the penguins, Peacock, and other random living things. Why are humans so confusing? Their emotions overrule them unlike June-san and Mother," Keiji thought.
Hijiri could only watch Akira throw himself onto Keiji, sobbing with relief. Unable to watch the boy who Hijiri believed was never guilty of Sora's disappearance and accident cry, the man left the room. Walking into another one, he shed a few tears himself.
"It's great, isn't it, June? Our son is alive, and I saw him. He's here. I just have to wait a little more, and he'll be back."
. . .
As soon as Yuugure reached the Edel Rose dormitories, where Hijiri had provided a room for him before he returned, he quickly unpacked his largest bag the moment the door slammed shut. Rifling through his things at the speed of light, Yuugure finally produced his cellphone. He quickly scrolled down his recent calls and chose to contact a person who Yuugure hadn't named. The number remained compared to the rest of the calls that all had names replacing the phone numbers.
Yuugure plopped himself on the single bed. He stared at the ticking clock that hung above the door. Each second seemed like an eternity. He wished for time to turn back, and that he could be stuck in the moment where he reunited with Hajime.
"Hello?" A deep voice could be heard coming from the other end. Startled, Yuugure couldn't help but almost jump in the air. He knew he wouldn't ever be used to this voice.
"There's some bad news." Yuugure nervously tapped his finger against his thigh and pursed his lips.
"What is it? There should no reason for you to contact me. I thought we agreed that I only call you."
"Oh," he could feel a tone of disappointment leave his mouth. Whoops.
Yuugure could now feel an oppressive irritation on the other end due to his disappointment heard by the other person. "Why did you call me?"
"Sora's back."
"WHAT!" Yuugure visibly winced. He really wanted to hang up now.
"Uh, yes. Apparently he's in the town, but Sora hasn't been found yet. Himuro-san and some guy named Keiji saw him. They don't know where he is though. Seems like Sora is hiding."
"What of the girl?"
"Girl? What girl?"
The voice sounded even more annoyed and began talking as though Yuugure was a child. "The girl you once worked with before you came to America. That third person in that Star Trio."
"Akemi? What of her? She's still at the hospital. She's undergoing a special treatment and surgeries that will allow her to live the rest of her life normally and healthy. If I'm correct, it's been going very well. Akemi might be finished and discharged in a span of one to three years. Five max."
"Hm, so that girl couldn't be the one taking care of him. He's not at Hiro's and Beru's wretched home with that boy of theirs. Try and find out where he is!"
The person hung up without any warning.
Yuugure threw his phone on the carpeted ground and threw the rest of his body on the bed. He angrily hit his head against the pillow several times and screamed into it.
Just then, he saw his backpack move wildly. He hurriedly went over and opened it, only for a black penguin to break free.
"Sorry! I forgot to let you out!" Yuugure sincerely apologized to his little friend.
The penguin tackled his head but decided to sit on Yuugure's lap. "Nor, nor!" He looked mad, but Yuugure knew better.
"Sorry, Norn. I'll make it up to you, 'kay?"
Norn made a gesture that Yuugure interpreted as a refusal, but he knew that it was just an act.
"I wish I could make you a real penguin..." was the thought running around his head.
That was the way Yuugure thought he could be with Norn forever and do Prism Lives until he retired.
Preview for Chapter 11 (Start of Arc 2) [urgh, gonna be a long chappie...]
"Where is this?"
"Daughter of Naru, the past caretaker of Lovelyn, you're in the Prism World."
"This...is the Prism World?"
"Unfortunately, yes. I am Ibara Rinne, and she is Amou June."
"Hana. You'll wake up soon. I won't have to visit you every day in the hospital like I used to, and we can go back to your home."
"Oh, Yuu-kun!"
"Long time no see, Ume. Heard something interesting from your brother."
"...Where's Hana-chan?"
"Uh, why?"
"She said that we would meet again."
"Akira, you want to perform a Prism Live with me?"
"Sorry. I promised that if I ever did one, I'd do it with Sora."
"Please, are you able let me do a Prism Live? "
"I can. But, why?"
Dun Dun DUN! Now we have the next arc officially starting!
119 is Japan's police number by the way. Akira refers to Beru's parents more formally as Grandmother and Grandfather. He calls Hiro's mother Grandma. And no. I will not explain how Hijiri and June had Sora, and how Keiji and the fake penguin exists, yet.
Sorry that I took so long to update. I'll just say that junior year at high school really is the busiest year of a student's life. Jeez. No free time at all! People should take this saying/stereotype seriously because it's true!
And to answer the question why this fanfic is different from the show in some parts (such as June and Rinne not being on Earth but in the Prism World) is because this was written way before the series ended. The first chapter was released around the part where the duo shows were airing, if I got my dates right. I already established the June and Rinne not being here part at least ten episodes before the last episode of Rainbow Live. Therefore, most of the things will be the same, but what was already created (example: June and Rinne disappearance, Ito/Kouji getting together, Naru/Random Person getting together) is forever set in stone for this fanfic. Sorry if you guys were confused! Should have said something like this in an earlier chapter. (-_-)
Yeah...Hajime is friends with an antagonist. And yes, Yuugure has the fake penguin. Wonder if you guys caught that foreshadowing! (^_^) It's both a good or bad thing Hajime doesn't know! You guys would probably be surprised to hear that Hajime was supposed to be the antagonist in the very early planning stages of this fic. He wasn't supposed to be related to Ume either, so our troublesome sis-con would have never existed! Gaspee! Good thing that the final version of the planning didn't have him as one!
With lots of love, LDT
