It was hitting noon and Harlee was in her room browsing the internet , she had nothing else better to do and Joe was still on her mind . A day later her body still tingled and the grinning was nonstop , Joe's company was everything she ever wanted and more in a relationship. Harlee still had questions about his persona , while he was somewhat pushy he honestly looked in her eyes while speaking to her and during their small moments together he just wanted to make sure that she finding enjoyment in the way he acted on his desire.

Harlee and Arjay were in a relationship for almost a year , apart of her did want to take the next step in their relationship but in recent weeks she was glad that they never went that far . To many tears were being shed and the aggravation was getting to her , it took being tempted for her to realize how truly unhappy she was . The worst part was that the two of them were a popular couple on school grounds and even considering breaking things off with him would create chaos. " I'm so confused … I have no idea what to do " she shook her head and left her seat .

She walked towards her window and noticed Kaleek meeting with Darren in his vehicle which meant she had the house to herself. From a distance she could hear an instant message pop up , she hoped it was Nai but unfortunately she had to settle for Arjay from overseas.

On the verge of tears , Harlee just stared at the message asking how she was doing . Pretending as if he did nothing wrong stung her heart. It was too much for her and it resulted in her putting the machine in sleep mode. There wasn't really anything she had to say to him , he would be away for awhile so the best thing was to pretend like he didn't exist for the time being.

Harlee walked over to her closet and did some digging before she pulled out a pair of jeans she wanted to change into . She clearly had a plan in the works.

2 hours later

Joe had finished running some errands and was simply spending his Sunday watching television . Normally he would go to church with his family but their absence was an excuse not to , he was enjoying the relaxation and had no plans on being bothered with his pals.

A ring of the door bell immediately ruined his mood " Who the fuck is that ? " he threw on his white muscle shirt and slammed the arm of the couch before heading towards the door. Joe prayed it was no one from the church checking in on him. He tried to put on a calm act before he answered the door.

It was difficult for him to keep a straight face until he was taken by the sweet surprise that stood at his doorstep.

" Hey …. I just wanted to see how you were " Harlee held her wrist and smiled . She let her hair loose and wore a red long sleeved shirt with jeans , even in a simple outfit Joe found her to be very cute.

" Wow … I'm good … I just didn't expect you to be here … wow bold move " he leaned on the door and smirked " … I'm just chilling today but I don't mind company … " he stepped back and welcomed her inside of his home .

Harlee was somewhat nervous , she shut the door behind her and followed him to his couch . She took a seat and he soon followed " What brings you here ? your brother let you out the house ? " he rubbed his knees and wandered his eyes a bit " He's went out … and I was so bored out of my mind " she shrugged " I wanted to see Nai but … I just don't wanna draw attention to what went on between us "

Joe raised his eyebrow and leaned back " How would you draw attention ? " he teased " She's my best friend , she can read me very well … Nai has this idea that me and Arjay are the perfect couple … I just don't want this to get out to anyone " she pulled her hair behind her ear " So then why are you here with me if you wanna keep this a secret ? " he asked.

Harlee exhaled before turning to him , and there were those strong eyes of his waiting for her " Because … I like the way you hold me … and talk to me … I barely know you … but I want to use this opportunity to learn more about you … and myself " she held herself and sucked in her bottom lip .

Joe knew the impression he made on her the night before and was not surprised she cameback , but he also felt her innocent and genuine aura . Harlee appeared to be a nice girl who was probably making all of the wrong choices , once again unknowingly he took the time to comfort and relax her. " There is nothing wrong with that … " he took her shaking hand and raised it " There's alot more I wan an learn about you too … " he winked his eye and tickled her soft hand with tender kisses " You are so sophisticated " she giggled before he took her lips for a brief kiss " Joe …. " she leaned into his shoulder and allowed him to massage the back of her neck " I got you Harlee …. don't worry " he whispered into her ear and continued to comfort her .

8:00 pm

The sun was beginning to set , Joe held Harlee's bare waist and rested his chest against her back while she remained on her side with the bedsheets against her chest .

A tear ran down her cheek but she wasn't sad at all , she felt warmth and pleasure from her experience with Joe.

They had fooled around a little the previous night but their full out sexual encounter was rather spontaneous . This was more than her first time , it was a positive growing experience .

Harlee was no longer timid and prudish and Joe was no longer that ego maniac , they connected and made the proper communication which led to the big step . She kept her eyes closed and smiled , Harlee ran her hand down his arm and tapped him with her finger as they remained in bliss.

I know that this was a short chapter and some may think I rushed with the ending of this one , but what happened between Joe and Harlee is gonna set the tone for very important events .
