Who else died after the new episode? I know I did. I know this chapter is really short, and it's mostly a filler. Next chapter I'll try to make longer. I do not own anything in this chapter, besides Becca, everything else belongs to their rightful owners.
Chapter 11
#%^%^&^&*
Becca refused to leave her room for a couple of days, she didn't want to eat or come out. She knew Klaus had done something to Elijah while she was passed out, but she hadn't let him explain what exactly happened. She barely let Rebekah in to see her. She'd barge in anyway though, demanding that she ingest something. It was for the baby, she'd said.
Laying in bed, all she could think of was that her brother had wanted to take away her baby though. It was haunting her. He'd wanted to hurt her just to hurt Klaus. Klaus, the monster she was being forced to live with. The person who was keeping her alive. The monster who could very well only have an interest in the baby because she could make his stupid hybrids.
She didn't want to get up. There was no one she could trust in this city, it made her almost miss home. She missed Caroline the most, now that she really thought about it. She'd know just what to say to cheer her up. She'd probably tell her Klaus was an ass and to tell him his painting suck.
She missed Jeremy too. They hadn't really talked since he killed Iliana. Hell she wouldn't be in this miss if they didn't kill her. She wouldn't have to be here. She could be back in Mystic Falls, away from Klaus.
It was times like this that she really wished Kol was here too. He'd probably sneak her out of here for the day and get her mind off of everything. Sighing, she stared off out the window. It wasn't like she could just out into town by herself either. Last time she'd done that, she nearly got herself killed. Hell, the last time she was alone, she'd been kidnapped by her own brother. Talk about soap opera worthy.
Klaus wasn't going to let her out of this house alone again. If he let her out at all.
Of course, when she heard a car pull up, she got curious. Forcing herself up from her bed, she walked over to the window and saw Elijah and who she could guess was Hayley sitting in his car out front of the house. At least Elijah was okay, it was one less thing she had to worry about today.
A part of her wanted to stay in here where it was safe. No one could hurt her in her room, not even Klaus. If she didn't know, it couldn't hurt her. She didn't want to know what he did with her brother. Knowing he killed her mother haunted her enough.
Hearing Klaus shouting made her curious. She knew staying in here would be better, nothing could end well with her going down there. She knew that, but curiousness got the best of her as she wondered downstairs anyway. Stopping at the bottom of the stairs, she could hear Klaus talking in the next room.
"Perhaps it should be you . . . brother. Stealing my child away with every fondling moments of tenderness you show to Becca. I suppose I should have expected that. You fell for Tatia's doppelganger as well. Why not Iliana's?" He said bitterly.
Becca could hear the hurt in his voice. He was scared, scared that this baby wouldn't like him over Elijah. Becca had her reasons for loathing him though. Elijah had been kind to her, treating her like a sister. "This has nothing to do with Rebecca, nor Iliana or Tatia."
"This has everything to do with Becca!" Klaus shouted, pointing the dagger at Elijah and Rebekah. "Becca's adored you since before I met her. Now that she and I are through, you've seen it to comfort her. Now my child, my blood, will grow up to call you father." He went on, his emotions getting the best of him.
Becca wanted to go out there and tell him that would never happened. No matter how much she hated him, she never would let someone else replace him in their child's life. Before her brain could stop her, her feet moved forward and she came out of hiding.
Klaus whipped around to face her. Her breath caught when she saw the raw emotions playing on his face. He was devastated, actually believing this to be true. "Klaus, that . . . that won't happen. Elijah and I, we're nothing but friends. This baby is only gonna know one man as her father, and that's you. No matter how I feel about you, or someone else, that's never going to change." She said, hoping he believed her.
Their eyes stayed locked for a moment, as if he was trying to search her soul for some kind of clue as if she was telling the truth or not. Their stare was broken when Rebekah spoke up."Is this what this is? You're, once again, worried about being left behind?" She asked, not believing he was still worried about that after all these years. Bloody hell, he killed Becca's mother and she was still here for him, what more could they do to convince him? She honestly didn't know. "Has history taught you nothing? We don't abandon you, Nik. You drive us away. Even Becca."
Klaus didn't believe her. If he did, what happened earlier wouldn't have happened. Those vampires wouldn't be dead, and no doubt Marcel wouldn't have tried to take him on. "Is that so?" He asked bitterly. "What have I done lately? Other than cooperate?" He asked his siblings, his eyes flickering to Becca as well. "And bow down to you, brother. To make up for daggering you." He said, the pain clear in his eyes as his eyes flickered from Elijah to Becca. "Or give you the space you needed after you cheated on me with Kol? Not once, but twice."
Wincing, Becca never forgot that little detail. She regretted sleeping with Kol. Not just because it was one of the reasons behind her mother's death, but because she and Kol were never meant to be more than friends. The attraction had turned to guilt every time she saw him after her mother's death. It was her fault, but that didn't give Klaus a slide on what he did. She'd never be able to completely forgive him, no matter what he did to make up for it now.
"Klaus,"
He ignored her though, not wanting to hear Becca's excuses. He wasn't done with his siblings yet. "For the greater good of our plan to reclaim our home, I've done what you asked. Looked the other way, sister, while you repeat the same cycle with Marcel, falling again for a man you shouldn't be with! While he controls the empire that we built. That he took!" He shouted, the pain clear in his voice. He felt betrayed by them, and there was nothing they could do to change that. "Now I make no excuses for past sins. Especially to you, Becca. If I could take back what I did, I would. I've been doing my best to make up for how I hurt you."
"Klaus, please." Becca tried again.
He wasn't hearing it though. He wanted them to know how much they had hurt him in just the past few days alone. "But in the one moment, when the three of you could have chosen to stand by me, to believe in me, to believe my intentions for my own child were pure. You chose to stand against me. To side with my enemies, think the worst of me." He said, his look of hurt being replaced with a guarded look as he walked toward Elijah. "I wanted our home back." He said, his eyes flickering to Becca. "Our home where we'd raise our child together." He said, never taking his eyes off of her before she broke it and looked down. His attention turned back to Elijah. "And now I have it. So I'm going to live there, with Becca and our child." He paused, glancing at the brunette in question before looking back to his siblings. "And the two of you . . . you can stay here together, and rot." He said before pushing past him to go outside.
Becca hesitated, debating with herself if she should go after him or not, but in the end she did follow him out. Opening the door, she saw him heading to his SUV. He paused, stopping at the passenger side door. "You're coming with me, Rebecca." He said out. She looked like she wanted to argue, but he didn't give her a chance. "That child you carry, and yourself, are the only two things on this planet that matters to me. Now you can fight me on this, but you will lose." He announced, opening the passenger side door for her. "As will anyone else who stops you from getting in this car."
The two locked eyes for a long moment, Becca not knowing what to do. She knew she would be safer here, but she knew this would end better if she went with him. After hearing what he had to say, she knew going with him was the right choice. Even if she should hate him, she still felt the need to stand by him when it counted.
How fucked up was that?
With a heavy sigh, she got up and dragged her feet to the SUV and got in. Closing the door behind her, Klaus knew this was the last thing she wanted. She was coming though, even if he had to drag her kicking and screaming. She knew he'd do it too.
