Chapter 10: Meet the Gungans

A/N: Destiny Changer, sorry. It comes up as chapter three, but is written as chapter 2. "Blushing, she quickly kissed the nine-year-old." So Anakin has gotten his first kiss. And it is at the end of the chapter. P.S. I will not read that other story. So stop telling me to. Please.

The group nodded and stood up and followed Jar-Jar to the Gungan holy grounds. "I feel like I'm in an army," Anakin hissed to Padmé, who grinned discretely at him.

"I agree," she hissed back. "But everything will work out."

He nodded. They soon reached the Gungan holy ground, escorted by the Gungan General Ceel.

"Your Honor, Queen Amidala of the Naboo," General Ceel motioned to 'Queen Amidala'

"Hello, big Boss Nass, your Honor," Jar-Jar waved nervously. Anakin quietly stood next to Master Qui-Gon, to Obi-Wan's dismay, in fact, where Anakin was standing, was Obi-Wan's rightful place. Padmé was a little ways away with the other handmaidens.

"Jar-Jar Binks, whosa den given ordersa?" The Gungan leader noticed Jar-Jar first.

"I am Queen Amidala of the Naboo," 'Queen Amidala' began. "I come before you in peace."

"Naboo big un," Boss Nass said. "Yousa bringa the mechanics. Yousa all bombad."

"We have searched you out because we wish to form an alliance," 'Queen Amidala' continued, secretly sweating rather violently.

Padmé stepped forward and said, "Your Honor."

"Whosa dis?" Boss Nass asked.

"I am Queen Amidala," Padmé revealed. Anakin's jaw dropped.

Glancing at the fake queen, Padmé continued, "This is my decoy, my protection, my loyal bodyguard. I'm sorry for my deception but it was necessary to protect myself. Although we do not always agree, Your Honor, our two great societies have always lived in peace."

Boss Nass made a noise of agreement. Padmé, or Queen Amidala apparently, continued, "The Trade Federation has destroyed all that we have worked so hard to build. If we do not act quickly all will be lost forever. I ask you to help us."

Kneeling, she corrected, "No, I beg you to help us. We are your humble servants. Our fate is in your hands."

Thinking for a while, Boss Nass began to laugh. Then he asked, "Yousa no tinkin' yousa greater than the Gungans?"

Padmé quickly shook her head no. Boss Nass then continued, "Mesa like dis. Maybe wesa being friends."

A relieved grin lit up Padmé's face and the faces of the rest of the group, while Jar-Jar let a cheer of complete joy.

Afterwards, the group split up, most of the party was going to get extra weapons and the Naboo Underground.

Padmé quickly found Anakin. "You were right, Padmé," Anakin said happily. "Queen Amidala does like me."

She smiled. Then she took a deep breath. "Listen, Anakin, I'm sorry I lied, but I couldn't risk anyone on Tattooine knowing that I was Queen Amidala. If anyone found out, they could have…" She trailed off.

"Sold you to the Hutts," Anakin finished, worriedly. Jabba was the most likely Hutt she would be sold to. Jabba preferred his slaves to have been powerful members of government before he got them and Padmé would have been perfect. "It's OK. It makes sense. Tattooine isn't the place for governmental officials."

She nodded in agreement. "Thanks for not getting mad at me," she whispered.

"I don't think I could I ever get mad at you, Padmé," Anakin replied, hugging her.

She smiled and they sat down and he asked, "How can I help?"

"We're going to need all the pilots we can get," she replied mysteriously.

He nodded and said, "I'll help however I can."

She smiled gratefully.
