The Time Lady and her Boys

(Doctor Who Fanfiction)

Pairing: The Master/Time Lady OC (With some Doctor/OC moments)

Chapter 11: Welcome to the Ood Sphere- Planet of the Ood

"I Love You"

The Master looked at her bewildered. Did she just say those words to him or was he dreaming again? He felt joy and victory in him over hearing those words from her. He held feelings for her for a long time, the way she would make him react just by her touch which seemed to quiet down the pounding pain of the drums in his head or just by looking into her eyes. He could feel electricity pass between them but when he acted over them, she would ignore them or not even notice them.

The Fighter's face turned a deep red as he kept looking at her. She was afraid he didn't feel the same way about her or he was shocked by the words not believing her. She turned away from him crossing her arms in defense in case he didn't return her feelings "A-As a friend that is."

The Doctor knew better then that. He knew she held feelings for The Master since they were little just by the way she would look at him when he wasn't looking at times. It was the same way he looked at her when she wasn't looking.

The Master gave a smirk. As a friend, he knew her better then that. Hearing about the many crushes she had on guy's back in the academy he knew the way she would act when she was trying to hide her feelings for them.

He put his hand on The Fighter's shoulder and grabbed her chin turning her around as she looked into his brown eyes with her own brown eyes. He then leaned in and kissed her lips. They were so soft and tasted like cherries.

He had been wanting to kiss her for a long time and feel her soft lips. He felt joy and victory in him as she didn't pull away from the kiss and kept going. It was like everything else disappeared and they were the only two people there. she could sense a possessive streak in the kiss but knew that's just how he was and melted under it.

The moment they started kissing The Doctor looked away in sadness as his two hearts hurt over the scene. Yes he was happy for his two friends but he was saddened that she didn't feel the same way about him.

She pulled back from the kiss for air as she realized Donna and The Doctor were still in the room and her face turned an even brighter red as Donna was giving her a thumbs up. She crossed her arms and looked down embarrassed.

The Master smirked at her reaction and put an arm around her shoulder "Aw my Tiger's embarrassed. Don't worry you're a very good kisser." He licked his lips looking at The Doctor to mock him as she looked at him shocked even more as her face was going an even brighter red if that was possible.

"Shut up!" She said in defense and walked over to Donna to change the subject. "You want to go to an alien planet?" Donna nodded in agreement. "Alright let's go!" The Fighter walked over to The Doctor who was exchanging a look with The Master.

The Doctor looked down at her as she looked into his eyes telling he was hurt about something. "Doctor, are you ok? What's wrong?"

He blinked his eyes as he forced a smile to come to his face. " Oh Nothing, nothing at all. Just thinking." He looked up at Donna "So you want to go to an alien planet? I know the perfect one!" He ran out of the room as Donna followed him to the console room with The Master and Fighter holding hands following behind.

The TARDIS began rocking side to side as it flew through the time vortex. They all held onto the console as The Fighter and Donna were laughing in amusement. The Doctor had set the TARDIS coordinates for a random planet so it was a surprise for them when they landed.

"Set the controls to random!" The Doctor shouted out as the TARDIS began to settle down. The Doctor walked over to Donna. "Mystery tour. Outside that door could be any planet, any where, any when in the whole wide..."

The Fighter noticed the look on Donna's face and walked over to her. "You're terrified right? Never been on an alien planet, something new. But trust me you'll get used to it and absolutely love it!"

Donna replied smiling "I mean history's one thing, but an alien planet..."

"We could always take you back home" The Master suggested as The Fighter elbowed him. "I'm just trying to help her out Tiger."

"Yeah don't laugh at me!" Donna pointed a warning finger at him. The Master gave a smirk.

The Doctor told Donna gently "We know what it's like. Everything you're feeling right now. The fear, the joy, the wonder, we get that!"

"Seriously, after all this time?" Donna asked.

The Fighter nodded "Yeah but it's not like we are ever going to stop traveling. It's exciting! Being free and exploring all the universe has to offer you. Not many people get to do it."

The Fighter enjoyed traveling the universe with The Doctor as it was one of her dreams as a child. Running into trouble, fighting enemies and saving the world only to get back home in time for breakfast, she wouldn't have it any other way. She enjoyed being free instead of being locked up inside like an animal and having to obey orders like a good little girl trying to fit in with the Gallifreyan standards of society.

It was all she was ever fighting for, Freedom. Freedom to do what she wanted and freedom from the pain of her past. She would fight for it no matter what. It's one of the many reasons why she chose the title, The Fighter.

She enjoyed traveling with The Doctor though she always wished The Master would travel with them as well. When she found out they were both enemies to each other she was absolutely shocked since they used to be the best of friends. But since finding The Master once again and how he was staying on the TARDIS traveling the universe with them, it made her happy as her dream came true.

The three of them were together again. She couldn't help but wonder though why The Master was willingly staying on the TARDIS, it just didn't seem like him. Is it because of me? She thought as her hearts beat wildly at the thought.

The Fighter was pulled from her thoughts as Donna spoke "Oh! You and me both, This is Barmy!" The Doctor began putting on his coat as The Master put a coat on The Fighter. Donna continued talking "I was born in Chiswick. I've only done package holidays, now I'm here. This is...I dunno. I don't even know what the word is!" Donna turned and stepped out of the TARDIS onto a planet covered in snow as it fell from the sky.

The Fighter followed her out holding The Master's hand as they looked. The Fighter then replied "Oh I know the word, 'Freezing.' Snow! Ha ha!" She let go of The Master's hand as she ran out of the TARDIS after Donna and danced around in a circle in the snow feeling it drop on her. She didn't get to see snow often and loved being in it when she had the chance. She was the type of girl who loved dancing in the rain or this case snow.

The Doctor exclaimed "Snow! Real snow! Proper snow at last! That's more like it. Lovely. What do you think?" He turned to look at The Master and Donna.

The Master was watching The Fighter dance around in the snow happily laughing and stomping her feet on the ground because of the sound it made. He couldn't help but chuckle at this as he was taken out of his trance looking at The Doctor. "Oh yes, It's snow. Nothing more then precipitation in the form of flakes of crystalline water ice that falls from clouds."

Suddenly a snowball came flying towards The Master as it hit him on his arm and fell down to the ground. The Master looked over at The Fighter who threw it as she held another snowball up ready to aim. "Oh come on! The snow is so much fun and beautiful!" The Fighter threw the next snowball at The Doctor as he ducked down before it hit his face.

"Oi! Watch it" The Doctor called to her as a grin came to his face. The Fighter made another snowball as she knew what the grin on The Doctor's face meant, he was going to come chase her, a snowball fight. They always had snowball fights when they were venturing the universe and came across a snowy place. It always ended up with The Doctor grabbing her and tickling her as she laughed uncontrollably until she let him win.

The Fighter was snapped out of her thoughts as she saw a snowball coming towards her and she jumped to the side landing on the snowy ground. She jumped up quickly in defense mode as she saw The Master running towards her. She began to run away as he chased her and she laughed enjoying the chase.

The Doctor watched sadly thinking that should have been him. He was snapped out of his thoughts as Donna commented. "Well The Fighter seems to be enjoying it. It's a bit cold though." Donna rubbed her arms.

"Look at the view!" The Doctor gestured over to the snow top mountains.

"Yep, a beautiful cold view." Donna remarked shivering.

The Fighter and Master joined back with Donna and The Doctor as The Fighter spoke to Donna "You've had a life of work and sleep, telly and rent, takeaway dinners, birthday Christmases and two week holidays a year and then you end up here! Donna Noble, citizen of Earth, standing on a different planet. How does it feel?"

The ginger female was missing "Donna?" She then came out of the TARDIS wearing a warm fur lined hooded coat. "Sorry, you were saying?"

"Better?" The Doctor asked Donna.

"Lovely Thanks."

"Comfy?"

"Yep."

The Master looked at her odd and curious "Can you hear a thing in that?"

"Pardon?"

The Fighter gave a laugh as she continued talking "As I was saying, Citizen of Earth..."

Suddenly a rocket flew over them.

"A rocket!" Donna gasped. "Blimey, a real, proper rocket. Now that's what I call a spaceship." She whacked The Doctor's arm. "You've got a box. He's got a Ferrari!"

The Master laughed at her comment to The Doctor as The Fighter watched the rocket. "Come on! Lets see where it's going!"

They began walking through the snow towards the area. The Master and Fighter hand in hand as Donna and The Doctor followed.

Suddenly the Two Time Lords and Time Lady stopped in their tracks as they were listening for something.

"Do you guys hear it too?" The Fighter asked them as she looked around.

Donna looked at them confused "Hear what? I don't hear anything except the wind."

"It sounds like a song, melody...like someone is singing." The Master exclaimed looking around.

The Fighter let out a gasp "Oh my! Over there!" She pointed and started running towards the distance as the others followed. They stopped as the caught the sight of a figure half buried in the snow. It had a large pale head with tentacles around it's mouth, a white orb device connected with a long wire that seemed to disappear up into the mess of tentacles and it was dressed in a pale grey suit.

"What is it?" Donna gasped looking at the creature buried in the snow.

"An Ood" The Doctor responded searching his pockets for his stethoscope out.

"But It's face..."

"Not now Donna"

The Fighter knelt down to the Ood holding it's hand to comfort it. "It's a 'He', not an 'it' dear Donna."

Donna replied kneeling down beside her "Sorry."

"I don't know where the heart is" The Doctor sighed moving the stethoscope around to listen for a heartbeat. The Doctor looked at The Fighter and The Master for an answer. "Does he even have a heart?"

The Fighter and Master shrugged not knowing the answer either.

The Fighter turned to the Ood "Do you have a name? I'm The Fighter." She gestured over to the others. "Those are my friends, The Doctor, The Master and Donna Noble."

"Designated Ood Delta 50" The Ood replied with his orb lighting up as he spoke before dimming.

Donna leaned down to speak into the orb "My name's Donna."

The Fighter put a hand on the female's shoulder "Sweetie that's only for him. That's for him to communicate to us. He can hear you."

Donna looked embarrassed "Oh sorry..."

"You've been shot" The Master said looking at the Ood.

The Ood tried to speak "The Circle..."

"No, don't talk." Donna shushed.

"The circle must be broken..." The Ood continued speaking.

"The Circle?" The group asked the Ood as it's eyes began to shut.

"What do you mean Delta 50? Delta 50?" The Fighter looked at the Ood as it's eyes popped open burning bright red like blood as he growled. She jumped back as The Master quickly grabbed her and put her behind him to defend her from the Ood which she wasn't to happy about as she believed she could defend herself. The Doctor grabbed Donna pulling her back as well.

The Ood sat up growling and appearing to be ready to attack them. The Fighter ran from behind The Master in front of him and The Doctor to protect them both and Donna as the Ood suddenly fell back into the snow dead.

"he's gone" Donna breathed.

The Master quickly pulled The Fighter by her arm to look into his eyes as he began scolding her "That was a stupid move! I pulled you behind me for a reason, to protect you!"

The Fighter looked at him " I know you're trying to protect me but, I'm The Fighter, it's what I do, Fight! I may look like a weak girl but I'm stronger then I let off!"

The Master growled as anger and worry filled him. He knew how she was but he still couldn't help but feel worried about her, he always was. The Fighter put a hand on his cheek as she looked into his brown eyes "Hey I'm the same as you in a way, we are both way too stubborn to die." They both laughed as she grabbed his hand. She always seemed to bring out the good side in him.

Donna looked at the Ood "What do we do, bury him?"

"The snow will do that." The Doctor replied gravely as he turned his head from The Master and Fighter to Donna. He was worried about The Fighter as well, but knew how she felt about others trying to protect her since she was hard headed and wasn't lying when she said she was stronger then she let off to people. On one of their adventures in his Fifth and her fourth incarnation where she would always scream, cry and act more childish in that incarnation, she could defend herself and others when the time called for it.

"Who was he? What's an Ood?" Donna asked confused.

"They're servants of humans in the 42nd century. They are mildly telepathic." The Master explained to her.

"The song from before was his mind calling out to the other Ood." The Fighter added in.

"I couldn't hear anything! He sang as he was dying?" Donna shook her head.

The Doctor frowned as he exchanged looks with his childhood friends "His eyes turned red."

"What's that mean?" Donna asked

"Trouble" The Master and Doctor said at the same time.

The Fighter sighed "As always, you boys have a knack for trouble. The Ood are completely harmless and benign..."

"Except when I met them last time...though there was this force" The Doctor explained.

"What sort of force?" Donna and The Fighter asked.

The Doctor shrugged "Long Story"

The Fighter stepped right in front of him face to face "I've got time, It's a long walk, now tell!" The Master let out a laugh at The Fighter's stubbornness wanting to hear their childhood friends story.

The Doctor gave in "It was the devil."

"You know, if you're gonna take the mickey, I'll just put my hood back up" Donna told him.

The Fighter gasped and pointed down to the ground "You don't mean...him down there. That evil red guy the humans say run a place called Hell?"

The Doctor laughed as he continued "Yes. Though it must be something different this time though."

"Something closer to home perhaps" The Master said as he pointed to a civilization where all Ood might be.

"Let's go!" The Fighter ran off towards the building as the others followed. The Master wasn't going to let her go off about the incident earlier and he wasn't going to let her off for running off either. He would have to punish her later.

A female was speaking to a group of people dressed in warm clothing as they stood outside complex doors listening to her speak "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Ood Sphere and isn't it bracing? Here are your information packs with vouchers, 3-D tickets, and a map of the complex."

An Ood who was standing to the side began handing them out as she continued speaking "My name is Solana, head of marketing. I'm sure we've all spoken on the vid-phone. Now if you'd like to follow me..."

"This is terrible...they're being treated as slaves." The Fighter whispered to her friends in horror.

The Doctor cut in "Sorry! Sorry! We're late! Don't mind us." The Master slapped his hand to his forehead as he rolled his eyes.

"And you would be...?" Solana asked.

"The Doctor, Donna Noble, The Fighter and The Master." The Doctor said holding up the psychic paper for her to look at.

"Representing the Noble Corporation, PLC Limited, Intergalactic" Donna added as she looked at the psychic paper.

Solana hastily said "Must have fallen off my list, sorry. My apologizes, won't happen again. Now then Dr. Noble, Mrs. Noble, Mr. Master and Mrs. Master, if you'd like to come with me..."

The Doctor and Donna exchanged looks frantically "Oh no no! We're not married!"

"We're so not married" Donna said agreeing.

The Fighter's face became a bright red as she protested pointing at The Master who was quite amused "We're not married as well!" He kept smirking thinking otherwise.

"Never" The Doctor said looking at the two of them. He couldn't even imagine how everything would be if they got married.

"Of course" Solana nodded. "Here is your information pack. Vouchers inside. Now if you'd like to come with me, the executive suits are nice and warm..."

Suddenly an alarm began going off as they stopped and looked around.

"Ooh What's that?" The Doctor asked looking around.

"An alarm you idiot!" The Master yelled at him as he rolled his eyes.

Solana explained "It's just a siren for the end of the work shift. Now then, this way! Quick as you can!"

The gang exchanged looks as The Fighter looked at Solana. "Sure..." She thought sarcastically as they followed behind Solana.

Solana showed them into a large room with a podium with brightly colored panels on the wall with a Ood painted on them behind her. She began addressing the room about the qualities of the Ood's. The Fighter, Doctor and Master looked over at three Ood that stood on pedestals. The Fighter shook her head to the way they were being displayed like slaves.

"As you can see, the Ood are happy to serve and we keep them in facilities of the highest standards."

The Fighter thought "Lies...they don't look happy at all. Poor things." It was hard for her to listen to all this and even look at it.

Solana continued speaking "Here at Double-O, that's Ood Operations, we like to think of the Ood as our trusted friends. We keep the Ood healthy, safe, and educated. We don't just breed the Ood, we make them better. Because at heart, what is an Ood... but an extension of us? If your Ood is happy...then you'll be too."

The Fighter caught the Ood's looking at her trying to send her a message telepathically without the orbs as she looked into their eyes. She could sense sadness, pain and longing for freedom as she has felt before. She stood up as she raised her hand and spoke. "Wouldn't they be happy if you stopped treating them like slaves? People deserve to be free, just as much as these Ood's do!"

The Master quickly jumped up and covered her mouth before she continued speaking "Sorry about my wife, bit of a handful you see." The Fighter struggled in his grasp and yelled muffled yells at him as he sat her back down.

"I assure you, we take good care of the Ood's as you can see, they're happy." Solana continued as she pointed to the Ood's. "Nothing to worry about, they're in good hands."

The Ood buyers applauded her as The gang exchanged looks as The Fighter gave up struggling and glared at them.

"Something strange is going on here...I agree with Tiger." The Master said as he removed his hand from covering The Fighters mouth.

"You think?" The Fighter asked sarcastically. The Doctor's worries were confirmed.

Solana stepped off the podium and walked over to the three Ood "I'd now like to point out a new innovation from Ood Operations. We've introduced a variety package with the Ood translator ball. You can now have the standard setting. How are you today Ood?"

The Fighter looked at the Ood "I'm perfectly well, thank you." It replied with it's generic voice as the orb lit up but it's eyes told The Fighter a different story.

"Or perhaps after a stressful day, a little something for the gentlemen?" Solana moved to stand in front of the second Ood. "How are you today Ood?"

"All the better for seeing you." The Ood replied in a sultry female voice.

Solana continued" And the comedy classic option. Ood, you dropped something."

"D'oh!" The third one replied mimicking Homer Simpson as the buyers laughed.

The Fighter muttered a Gallifreyan curse word in a low whisper earning shocked looks from The Two Time Lords. It was very rare for her to use a curse word, she only used them when it was something that seriously and deeply got under her skin and made her mad.

"All that for five additional credits. The details are in your brochures. Now, there's plenty more food and drink so don't hold back!" Solana continued speaking as she left the room. The buyers began chatting with each other as The Doctor walked over to a control panel on the side of the room. The Fighter and Master followed him as Donna went to get a drink.

"Ah, got it." The Doctor exclaimed as he brought up a projection of the locale galaxy on the large screen. Donna then came over to the three of them.

"The Ood sphere." The Master exclaimed.

"I've been to this solar system before, years ago. Ages. Close to the Sense-Sphere. Let's widen it out..." The Doctor continued.

"The year 4126!" The Fighter exclaimed. "The second great and bountiful human empire."

"4126? I'm in 4126?" Donna gasped looking at The Fighter excited.

The Doctor smiled at Donna "It's good isn't it?"

"Whats the earth like now?"

The Doctor brought up red rings around three different galaxies. "A bit full, but you see, the empire stretches out across three galaxies."

Donna breath taking in it all before talking again "It's weird, I mean it's brilliant but...back home, the papers, the telly, they keep saying we haven't got long to live, global warming, flooding, all the bees disappearing."

The Fighter gave Donna curious looks as she remembered her talking about the Bee's disappearing when they first met. "That thing about the bee's is very odd." She looked over to The Master who was standing beside her.

Donna started at the screen amazed "Look at us, we're everywhere. Is that good or bad though? I mean, are we like explorers or more like a virus?"

"A virus." The Master said sardonically. The Fighter glared at him and sighed shaking her head.

"Just ignore him." The Fighter told Donna as she saw the look on her face from his comment.

"What are the red dots?" Donna asked her changing the subject.

"Ood distribution centers."

"Across three galaxies? Don't the Ood get a say in this?" Donna frowned as she turned and headed over to an Ood. The Fighter ran over to join them.

Donna tapped the Ood on the shoulder. "Um sorry but... Hello. Tell me, are you all like this?"

The Ood replied politely "I do not understand miss."

"Why do you say 'Miss'? Do I look single?" Donna began to raise her voice as The Fighter began to calm her down.

"Easy now Donna." The Fighter turned to the Ood. "What my friend is trying to ask is are there any free Ood that are not being treat as slaves?"

The Ood looked at her, it's eyes conveying a different message as it began to speak "All Ood are born to serve. Otherwise we would die."

The Fighter shook her head "You say that but yet your eyes tell me something different. You can change your own destiny, your own fate. Please...I know it's possible. You don't have to deal with being treated like slaves."

The Ood's head began to twitch as The Doctor and Master noticed and walked over to the two girls concerned. The Master stood next to The Fighter as she looked at the Ood not noticing it's head twitched.

"Lady Fighter, The Circle..." The Ood began to say.

The Fighter looked at the Ood shocked that it knew her name and she hadn't even told it unless it overheard it somewhere.

"Hang on, circle?" The Doctor asked. "What circle? What do you mean?"

"The circ...The circle...must..."

The Ood was interrupted as Solana spoke. " Ladies and gentlemen, All Ood to hospitality stations, please."

All the Ood including the one they were talking to turned and began to leave the room as The Doctor took off his glasses putting them in his pockets. The Master pulled out a map of the complex that they had got earlier.

"I've had enough schmoozing." He looked to group. "How about we go off the beaten track?" His eyes landed on The Fighter.

The Fighter grinned at him nodding "A rough guide to the Ood Sphere? Lets do it!"

"You read my mind." The Doctor replied ignoring the glances The Fighter and Master were exchanging with each other as if they were sending each other mental messages. He didn't really want to know what they were mental telling each other.

The Doctor, Donna, The Master and The Fighter were wondering around the complex grounds before they came to stop at a locked gate.

The Doctor took out his sonic and aimed it at the gate unlocking it.

A voice came over the speaker system as they stepped through the gate. "Ood Shift 8 commencing. I repeat Ood Shift 8 commencing."

They climbed up stairs and looked down over a space between the warehouse where the Ood's were marching. Suddenly one Ood tripped falling down as a guy walked over. "Get up! I said, get up!" He commanded it as he snapped a whip at it.

The Fighter glared at the guy having the sudden urge to jump down and smack that guy into another universe for how he treated the Ood.

"Servants?" Donna gasped as she looked at The Fighter. "You were right. They're slaves."

The Fighter crossed her arms and held her head high as she nodded "See I could tell from the look in their eyes."

"Last time I met the Ood, I never thought, never asked..." The Doctor shook his head.

The Master remarked "That doesn't sound like you."

The Fighter looked into The Doctor's eyes "What happened with them last time?"

"I was busy, So busy I couldn't save them. I had to let the Ood go." The Doctor replied shaky as The Fighter put a hand on his shoulder. The Master suddenly felt a ping of jealousy run through him at her action.

"You can change that now." The Fighter replied smiling at him brightly.

"I reckon I owe them one." The Doctor continued as The Fighter smiled brightly at him. She always knew how to cheer him up and help him out of the dark.

The Master quickly grabbed The Fighter's other hand and pulled her away from The Doctor as he pointed to a man in a suit. "That looks like the boss!"

The Doctor looked down and took out his map as they began to walk past the warehouses. The Master and Fighter stopped at one in particular with Donna stopping by them as The Doctor continued walking on without them.

"That idiot...too absorbed in his map." The Master shook his head as The Fighter gave off a giggle.

Suddenly Donna whistled loudly making The Doctor jump and turn back to them.

"Where did you learn to whistle?" He asked her.

"West Ham, every Saturday."

The Master rolled his eyes "Are you two just going to stand there and flirt or are we going to find out what's in this thing?"

The Doctor and Donna stopped looking at The Master. "Oi! We're not flirting! Besides, you're one to talk!" Donna pointed out to him.

The Doctor gave a smirk over what Donna said as The Fighter pulled out her sonic opening the door. "Alright, Alright everyone. Come along!"

They stepped in to see a massive amount of shipping containers. "Ood export." The Doctor gestured to the claw "Lifts up the containers, takes em to the rocket ships. Ready to be flown out all over the three galaxies."

"What you mean, these containers are full of...?" Donna trailed off.

The Master replied sardonically "What do you think? Ood Export!"

The Fighter ran over to the closest container as she used her sonic on it opening it. She opened the door to find Ood standing inside. She let out a gasp.

The others came running over to see what it was as Donna exclaimed "Oh it stinks. How many of them do you think there are in each one?"

"A hundred, possibly more." The Doctor replied as he looked over at The Fighter. Her eyes were full of anger but also full of sadness. The Master and him both noticed this as her hands formed fists.

"A great big empire built on slavery." Donna scoffed.

The Master replied "It's not so different from your time."

"Oi! I haven't got slaves unlike you!" Donna said in defense. "Besides, you'd never know how it feels to be a slave. You're a Master after all."

The Master gave her a cold glare that made her shake in fear "Silence!" She was wrong, he was a slave in a way, the never-ending drums in his head that never stopped but seemed to quiet down for a few minutes of relief when he touched The Fighter. It was only with her that the drums seemed to be quieted and he felt free.

She could look past all the pain and see right into his soul at the real him. She had always believed in him, she was the only one who did and still does. It was like she was meant for him, like his soul mate. All the emotions that would run through him every time he looked, touched and even thought of her was like electricity, like it was meant to be.

The feeling of keeping her protected and smiling, the feeling of jealously running through him when another man took interest in her, wanting to never leave her side and feeling like he lost a part of him when he did. The anger and pain at her not obeying his orders to keep her safe. He wanted to have a family with her, he wanted to marry her just like he dreamed to do back then. They just had to be...they are, Mates. He would tell her later, now wasn't the time.

"Stop it! This isn't the time to be fighting over who's superior and who's inferior!" The Fighter yelled out to them as she turned to The Ood. "I don't understand, the door was open, why didn't you just run away?"

"For what reason?" An Ood tilted it's head.

The Fighter gave a bright smile "Because then you can be free!" It was the same as when she ran away with The Doctor, she became free. She never really understood herself why she didn't do it sooner when the offer first came.

"I do not understand the concept." The Fighter frowned.

The Doctor looked at the Ood "The Circle...? What does it mean to you?"

"The Circle must be broken..." All the Oods chanted.

"Why?" The Doctor and Master asked.

"So that we can sing."

Suddenly an alarm began to go off. "That's our cue, time to go." They began to run out of the crate leaving the Ood behind. A guard burst in and stopped The Fighter "Don't move!"

Donna turned her head to look behind to see The Fighter was gone. "Master! Doctor!"

The Master stopped running as The Doctor did to look at the human "The Fighter, where has she gone?"

"Stay where you are!" A guard called out to them. The Master and Doctor exchanged looks as The Doctor ran off and they followed with the guards following behind.

The Master was worried sick about The Fighter. They would pay if they hurt her. He would make them pay for taking her away from him! He was going to make sure of that.

The guards took The Fighter to container and pushed her into one with the Oods. They shut the door as the dark surrounded them.

The Fighter turned to the Oods and sighed. "You poor Oods. You don't have to deal with treatment like this, not anymore. I know how it feels to be treated as a slave, having people rule your life and telling you to "Accept your fate!"" Memories of her father Rassilon began to come to her mind as she thought of how he treated her all her childhood as a tool for his plans.

The Oods blinked their eyes listening to her story and understanding her pain.

"The worst part of it all was, I actually let my father treat me that way. I don't really understand why but I did. I kept bottling inside all the emotions, all the pain, I didn't even tell my friends what was happening to me as I feared to get them involved. I didn't want them to go through what I was going through. I still haven't told them who my father is." Tears began to fall from her eyes as she cried out like she hadn't done since her 4th regeneration.

She couldn't bring herself to cry around the boys as she told herself "A woman should never show weakness around a man otherwise he would take advantage of her." She didn't believe they actually would but it was a code she held for herself since marrying The Joker.

"Missy..." The Fighter looked up to see The Ood's eyes turning red. She was shocked they said her name.

"How do you know my name?" She asked them.

The Ood's began stepping towards her. "Lady Fighter..."

She began stepping back until she couldn't anymore with the door in her way. She reached into her pocketing forgetting about her sonic screwdriver as she pulled it out. She had an option face the guards outside or face the Oods inside?

The Doctor, Master and Donna were brought to the container holding The Fighter.

"Unlock the container" Kess commanded.

Face the guards it is! The Fighter quickly put her sonic to the door before they could open it and burst out knocking the guards unconscious as she leaped down in a pose almost like a tiger.

"That's my tiger!" The Master ran over to The Fighter taking her in a hug. He was so relieved she was unharmed. He noticed her cheeks were wet from possibly crying. She never seemed to cry in front of them since her 4th regeneration. She would hold in her emotions and hide her pain which bugged him."It's alright, you're safe."

"I'm fine! I can take care of myself!" She said in defense as she turned to look at the red eyed Ood behind them. "Not so sure bout them though."

"Red alert!" Kess cried as the red eyed Ood attacked using their translators to electrocute the men. The guards began to shoot at them.

"NO!" The Fighter screamed as The Master grabbed her and they began running. Another container of Ood's began to pour out.

The gang with Solana ran out the doors, out of the warehouse, away from the gunshots.

"If the people back on Earth knew what was going on..." Donna started

Solana cut her off "Don't be stupid, of course they know."

The Fighter scoffed "Oh! They know how you treat the Ood? As slaves!"

"They don't ask. Same thing."

The Fighter began to raise her voice growling at the woman "Solana, the Ood aren't born this way! A species born to serve could never evolve in the first place!"

"What does the company do to make them obey?" The Doctor asked curious.

"That has nothing to do with me." Solana stepped back.

"I think I might know..." The Master trailed off thinking.

"How do you know Dr. Ryder's territory?" Solana asked him shocked.

The Doctor held out the map to her. "Where is he? What complex? I can help with the red eye now show me!"

Solana pointed to the area "There, beyond the red section."

The Fighter began running over there as The Master quickly grabbed her hand as they ran together. The Doctor looked at Solana. "Come with us. You've seen the warehouse. You can't agree with all this. You know this place better then us and you can help."

Solana made her choice "They're over here guards!" The Doctor and Donna began running to catch up with The Master Fighter as the guards came over.

"Male and Female suspects escaping. Westbridge corridor."

"They're heading for Ood conversion." Solana reported to them.

"On my way."

The gang continued running making their way around the base. Suddenly the Time Lords and Time Lady stopped outside the door as Donna looked at them confused.

"Can't you hear it?" The Doctor asked them exchanging looks.

"It's just like earlier. The singing." The Fighter replied. She took out her sonic and opened the door.

A group of Oods were huddled together in one of the cages when The Master switched on a light.

"They look different from the others." Donna remarked.

The Fighter walked over to them looking sad. The song they were singing was one about yearning for freedom, a song she knew so well. They turned to look up at her as she smiled brightly at them and looked into their eyes, conveying the understanding she felt with them.

"It's because they're natural-born Oods. Unprocessed before they are adapted to slavery. Unspoiled." The Master explained as he watch The Fighter intently as she walked over to the Oods.

The Fighter touched the cage and looked at them sadly. "Locked in a cage...you guys don't deserve to be like these. You deserve to be free!" The Oods looked at her understanding she wasn't a threat to them. She seemed to understand them. "That song...the one us three can hear, It's coming from you."

"I can't hear anything." Donna said shaking her head.

The Doctor looked at her "Do you want to?"

"Yeah."

The Fighter turned to her and gave her a serious look "It's a song of captivity." She felt her hearts hurt as the feelings of yearning for freedom back then hit her through the song.

"Let me hear it."

The Doctor placed his fingertips on Donna's temples closing his eyes and focusing. "Open your mind, that's it. Hear the music Donna."

Donna gasped her eyes going wide as she heard the song. It was beautiful and sad at the same time. She began to cry." Take it away. I can't bear it."

The Doctor broke his connection from her and looked at The Fighter to see The Master comforting her, his hand around her shoulder as he held her. Her hand was on the cage as she looked at the Oods sadly. The Oods watched The Master sensing a dominance feeling through him along with wanting to comfort the girl who shared their pain and yearning for freedom.

"You guys can still hear it?" Donna asked.

"All the time" The three of them responded.

The Fighter looked at the Ood in the cage who didn't take their eyes off her. The Master found it strangely odd. She reached into her pocket and took out her sonic as she spoke to them "You know, I used to deal with being pushed around, I let it happen to me and held all the pain inside until one day. One day I decided, 'Let it go! Just let it go! They can't hold you back anymore' and I did. I fought for my freedom and here I am now, stubborn as ever but damn proud! Today you get your freedom! Today's the time to 'Let it go!'"

She soniced the cage opening it as the Ood began to shuffle around inside. "I won't hurt you my dears. It's time to be free!" She started thinking about the the feelings she had been holding back about not telling The Doctor and The Master that her father was Rassilon. She was afraid of what they would think of it, how if she told them if it would harm them but she was done hiding it. It was time to let it go and tell them the truth. "Let it go!"

The Ood's stood looking at her not moving as Donna called out hearing a banging noise outside "They're breaking in!"

"Ah let em." The Doctor replied.

The Fighter stepped into the cage with the Oods as she noticed something in their hands. "What's that in your hand?" She asked them gently as she smiled brightly.

An Ood turned to her shyly as she looked at the others. "Oh those are my friends. They won't hurt you."

The Ood helped out his cupped hand to her and pulled the top off showing a pink ball like brain.

"Is that..." Donna trailed off.

"It's a brain." The Master responded looking at it. "A hindbrain. The Ood are born with a secondary brain. Like the amygdale in the huamns, it processes memory and emotion. You get ride of that, you wouldn't be you anymore. Just as I thought..."

"So the company cuts off their brains..."

"And stitches on the translator." The Doctor added in.

"Like a lobotomy. I spent all that time looking for you, because I thought it would be wonderful out here. I want to go home."

A guard shouted out as they banged above "They're with the Ood sir."

"I won't let you harm these Ood anymore! They deserve to be free! You like freedom right? Don't you think they would like it too? LET THEM GO!" The Fighter yelled as The Doctor closed the cage door locking themselves in it.

"You idiot! You've locked us in!" The Master yelled at him.

The Two Time Lords, Time Lady and female human were handcuffed to a pole in Halpen office by two guards.

"Why don't you just come out and say it, FOTO activists." Halpen yelled at them.

The Fighter held her head high and mighty as she argued with him "If that's what Friend Of The Ood are, then yes!"

"The Ood were nothing without us, just animals roaming on the ice."

"That's because you never took the time of day to understand them. You can't hear them!" The Fighter continued yelling at him.

"They welcomed it! It's not as if they put up a fight."

"You idiot! They're born with their brain in their hands, don't you see? It makes them peaceful!" She continued yelling.

Donna added in "They've got to be because a creature like that would have to trust anyone it meets."

"Nice one" The Time lords and Time Lady commented her.

"Thank you."

"The systems worked for 200 years. All we've got is a rogue batch. But the infection is about to be sterilized." Halpen continued.

The Fighter eyed him as she said sarcastically referring to him "I can tell you what the infection is, you!"

"That's my tiger!" The Master commented.

Halpen ignored her and talked into his comm "Mr. Kess, how do we stand?"

"Canisters primed sir. As soon as the core heats up, the gas is released. Give it 200 marks and counting."

"YOU"RE GOING TO GAS THEM!?" The Fighter blared.

"Kill the livestock. The classic foot-and-mouth solution. Still works."

The Fighter began struggling to get out of handcuffs as the others did too.

A minute later after he left, Halpen came back into the office. "Change of plan."

"No reports of trouble off-word sir. It's still connected to the Ood-sphere." Ryder reported.

"Then we've got a public duty to stop it before it spreads."

"What's happening?" The Doctor looked over.

"Everything you wanted Doctor, Fighter, Master and Donna. No doubt there'll be a full police investigation once this place has been sterilized so I can't risk a bullet to the head. I'll leave you to the mercy of the Oods."

"There is something else though. Something we have't been seeing." The Master remarked.

"What do you mean?" Donna asked him.

The Master continued "The creature couldn't survive with a separate forebrain and hindbrain, they'd be at war with themselves. There's got to be something else, a third element. Am I right?"

"Again, so clever."

"It's got to be connected to the red-eye. What is it?" The Doctor asked.

"It won't exist much longer. Enjoy your Ood." Halpen and Ryder turned to leave with the two guards and Ryder's Ood as they left leaving the others behind.

They began struggling in their restraints as The Fighter noticed the door opening and an Ood standing there as it stared at her with it's red eyes. "Um Guys..."

The Doctor, Donna and Master tried to convince the Ood of their friendship to them.

"Doctor, Master, Fighter, Donna. Friends!" The Doctor shouted.

The Master noticed the Ood looking directly at The Fighter as he tried to move over in front of her to protect her as much as he could. "Don't hurt her!"

"The Circle must be broken...The Ood will be set free! The Ood will sing again!" The Fighter began singing out as they looked at her.

"She's singing?" Donna asked. "She's singing the song of captivity?!"

The Ood began walking towards them as They all kept repeating their sayings. The Ood lifted their translator but stopped inches away from their foreheads.

The translators turned off and the Ood gripped their heads. One Ood lifted it's head revealing it's eyes to be normal as it looked at The Fighter. "Friends!" It said.

"Yes that's us sweetie! Friends!" The Fighter exclaimed.

The Ood helped free them from their cuffs.

They all began running down the stairs and across the complex. They were thrown to the ground by an explosion behind them as The Fighter landed on top of The Master. "You ok?" He asked.

She smiled blushing "Yes...thank you." She got up as they all stood up to see Sigma standing before them through the smoke.

Sigma led them through to the warehouse only to see an enormous brain in a energy field.

"The Ood brain, now it all makes sense." The Master exclaimed.

The Doctor added in "That's the missing link. The third element, binding them together. forebrain, hindbrain and this. The telepathic center. It's a shared mind connecting all Ood in song."

A weapon suddenly clicked from behind as they turned to see a gun held at them by Halpen. "Cargo, I can always go into cargo."

Ryder called out to them "He's minded the area!"

"You're gonna kill it." Donna told him.

"They found that thing centuries ago under the Nothern glacier." Halpen exclaimed.

"Those Pylons." The Doctor nodded down at them.

"In a circle! The Circle must be broken!" The Fighter exclaimed looking.

The Master explained "It's blocking the Telepathic field keeping the Ood from connecting to each other for 200 years."

The Fighter's hands formed fists that gripped tight as anger flooded in her. They were crying out for each other and when no one responded it drove them to a state that they would go so far as kill. The poor things were suffering.

"And you Ood Sigma, I expected better of you." Haplen said to the Ood.

"My place is at your side sir." Sigma moved to Halpen.

"Still subservient. Good Oo..." Halpen trailed off as if he chocked on the words.

Ryder spoke up "You should have never given me access to the controls, Mr. Halpen. I lowered the barrier to minimum. Friends Of The Ood sir. It's taken me ten years to infiltrate the company and I succeeded."

"Yes, Yes you did." Halpen said as he pushed Ryder over the railing. The Doctor quickly grabbed his hand helping him up.

The Fighter looked Halpen directly in his eyes unafraid that she would be possibly shot and killed. She wouldn't stand for this kind of treatment anymore and she most definetly wouldn't let the Ood's suffer with it anymore. "You should know one thing about me. You can torture me, cut off my limbs, poison me but I'll still come back and attack you! I am the unexpected storm, The Fighter! I will not stand for this nonsense anymore. LET THESE OOD GO NOW!"

Halpen looked at her shaken by her confidence as he laughed "Can't say I've shot anyone before... can't say I'm gonna like it but, uh, It's not exactly a normal day." He held up his gun to her head as she looked at him fearless.

The Master and Doctor watched shocked. They couldn't let him do it, they had to stop it. They couldn't imagine a world without her. Why did she always seem to get herself into this mess?

"Would you like a drink sir?" Sigma asked him interrupting.

Haplen chuckled "I think hair loss is the least of my problems right now thanks."

"Please have a drink sir!"

Helpen blinked at The Fighter seeming to have trouble keeping his eyes open and his words seemed to slur together "If you're going to stand in their way, I'll shoot you too."

"Please have a drink sir."

Helpen gasped "Have you...poisoned me?"

"Natural Ood must never kill sir."

"What is that stuff?" The Doctor and Master asked.

"Ood graft suspended in a biological compound."

They all began to laugh as The Fighter smiled brightly at Ood Sigma "Ha! Brilliant! That's the spirit!"

Halpen looked confused "What does that mean?"

"Funny thing the subconscious, takes all sort of shapes. It came out in the red eye as revenge. It came out in the rabid Ood as anger. And then there was patience. All that intelligence and mercy focused on Ood Sigma." The Master explained chuckling madly.

The Fighter grinned "How's the hair loss, Mr. Halpen?"

"What have you done?"

The Doctor joined in "Oh they've been preparing you for a long time and now you're standing next to the Ood brain. Mr. Halpen, can you hear it? Listen!"

"What have you...I'm not..."

Halpen held his head shouting in pain as he pulled at the skin on his scalp till it came away revealing his Ood head beneath. Tentacles dropped from his mouth as he gagged. The Fighter and Donna looked away as The Fighter ran over to them.

Donna's eyes widened "They turned him into an Ood?"

"Yep." The Doctor replied.

Halpen coughed up his secondary brain as The Fighter hide her eyes in The Master's shoulder not bearing to look.

"He has become Ood-kind and we will take care of him." Ood Sigma declared.

"it's weird being with you. I can't tell what's right and what's wrong anymore." Donna exclaimed to The Doctor.

"Now Ood Sigma, will you allow me to do the honor?" The Doctor asked.

Sigma gestured over to The Fighter "Actually we would like Lady Fighter to."

The Fighter brought her head up and turned looking at Sigma. "Me?"

"Yes, you were the one who told us to 'Let it go!' You can relate with us on wanting to be free!" Sigma told her. "It's all yours."

She smiled and walked over to the lever pulling it down. She raised her hands up in the air happily "I declare, The circle is broken! The Ood are free to sing!"

"I can hear it!" Donna cried out.

The Fighter smiled happily as she heard the new song, The song of Freedom, a song she danced with the Oods to happily.

The Ood stood in a semicircle as Sigma stood in the middle with the TARDIS behind them in the same spot as The Doctor, Master, Fighter and Donna stood outside it by the Oods.

"The message has gone out" The Doctor told the Ood. "The song resonated across the galaxies. Everyone heard it and everyone knows."

The Fighter told them happily "And the rockets are bringing them back. The Ood are coming home!"

"We thank you Doctor-Donna, Master and Fighter, Friends Of Ood-kind." Ood Sigma nodded to them as he walked over to The Fighter. "And what of now? Will you stay? There is room in the song for you."

The Master frowned at this. The Ood seemed to take a liking to her. He didn't want her to leave them and saty behind, neither of them wanted her to.

The Fighter grabbed The Master's hand smiling as he looked up at her shocked. "Sorry, I've sort of got a song of my own. I can't help but dance to the beat of the drums, they never bothered me." A smile lit up on The Master's face.

"I think I should warn you...your song must end soon." Sigma stated staring at The Doctor, Fighter and Master.

"Meaning?" The Master asked confused.

"Every song must end. Everything, all things, must die." Sigma continued.

"Yeah..." The Doctor said as he turned to Donna "What about you? Do you still want to go home?"

Donna shook her head "Nope."

The Doctor decided "Then we'll be off."

"Take this song with you." Sigma called.

Donna promised "We will."

"And know this, Doctor-Donna, Master and Fighter, you will never be forgotten. Our children will sing of the Doctor-Donna, Master and Fighter, and our children's children, and the wind and the ice will carry your names forever." Sigma added in.

The Doctor, Donna and Master began walking into the TARDIS as The Fighter was stopped by Sigma. She walked over to him to listen to what he had to say. "Lady Fighter, A song has been calling out for you in the deep dark depths of the universe."

The Fighter looked at him confused "Huh? What do you mean?"

"She's calling out for you. He's calling out for you." Sigma explained.

"Who? Does it give a name?" The Fighter asked confused.

The Master opened to the door and called out to The Fighter "What are you doing? Come on!"

She ignored him as she waited for Sigma's answer. "The only name given is...Missy."

The Fighter gasped. There was only a couple people who knew her name, The Doctor, The Master, The Joker, her father Rassilon and Elizabeth.

She then bowed her head. "Thank you for letting me know." She then ran up to The Master as she went inside the TARDIS door with him following behind as the Ood continued to sing their songs as the TARDIS dematerialized away.

The Fighter and Master walked from the console room to The Fighter's room as The Doctor watched them holding hands.

The expression on The Master's face seemed like he wanted to talk to her about something. The Doctor turned back to look at the console as Donna noticed his sad look as he was deep in thought brooding.

Donna put a hand on his shoulder as he looked at her with sad eyes. "You really love her don't you?"

The Doctor nodded as Donna smiled "That's true love right there. You both seem to love her equally."

"They've both been my friends for such a long time. I remember the day she was getting married, The Master and I had this plan to stop it from happening. Everything was perfect but then something went wrong and...she ended up with another man. We both planned to leave and run away with her but..." The Doctor trailed off remembering what happened.

The Doctor continued talking on "The Fighter and I have traveled together for a long time, been through so much together. I knew since we were young she was developing feelings for The Master, I could always tell but I just wished that she would somehow look at me with those loving eyes like she used to and pick me."

Donna commented "So mostly you and him have been in a sort of Friendly rivalry not just over her but over many other things for a long time?"

The Doctor nodded he remembered the first time in a while when he met The Master again in his 3rd incarnation at UNIT. How they both talked about the girl in question who denied coming with them. The friendly rivalry they had for each other happening again just over her name.

Donna continued "Well, though she chose The Master, she will always love you as a friend and her hero. After all, you were the one who saved her from Gallifrey." Donna giggled "She told me EVERYTHING!"

"Everything?" The Doctor asked nervously.

"EVERYTHING!" Donna continued giggling at his reaction. "Like the time she kissed you to make you shut up because you were being annoying and you were frozen by it, completely in shock!"

The Doctor's face turned red as he remembered the incident. He was in his 6th incarnation as she was in her 5th incarnation. They seemed to argue a lot and she suddenly kissed him which shocked him. Her lips were so soft, warm and they tasted like cherries, something he wasn't expecting. It really did shut him up.

"Look at you! Bright as a tomato!" Donna laughed as The Doctor looked away to the console. He would never stop loving The Fighter, he never really had. He would be their to support her well she was with The Master and help protect her if she ever needed him. He wasn't going to leave her side ever again.

In The Fighter's room, The Master and her were laying on her bed as she cuddled up in his arms talking. She felt so warm and safe in his arms as she embraced the feeling.

They fit perfectly as they cuddled, almost like puzzle pieces that belonged together. Though he did bad things in his life, she believed he could do good things too. She believed he was capable of good, he just needed someone who believed he was able to do it. He had been hurt in his childhood by his father and she could relate with him on it. When he found out what his father thought of him, it felt like no one believed in him except for Missy who came running to him after hearing the news.

She held feelings for him since childhood and every time they met, the feelings kept growing more and more. She almost confessed to him a few times that she loved him but held back because she didn't want to get him involved with her father as she didn't want to get him involved in anything else that could hurt him. She could tell he was in pain just by how he would always ask her to help him end the drums. The drums were driving him crazy and putting him in a lot of pain and he already was going through enough pain.

She could relate with the ticking clock in her head. Though it wasn't as loud as his drums seemed to be, it was always there quietly ticking away. Then when it would have it's days where it decided to be loud and make her head pound, she could relate with him.

But for some reason when they would touch each other and have contact, the drums and ticking clock seemed to stop until the contact was gone, then it would start all over again like nothing happened. Why? Why did they always stop when they touched? Why did they always get relief when they were with each other? They were connected somehow.

It caused The Master to think that maybe they were soul mates, that they were meant to be. He still hadn't forgot to punish her for the many things she did to make him worry today. He would keep her in his arms and not let her go for a while as a punishment.

He began to give kisses on her neck as she blushed bright red and squirmed but he wasn't going to let her go. This was punishment for worrying him today.

"This is punishment for running off, putting yourself in danger and not obeying my order Tiger." The Master told her as he continued kissing her neck.

She blushed as he kissed her neck. It tickled and caused her to squirm. She knew she worried him a lot, even The Doctor too but she couldn't just stand by and let everything happen. She was a big girl and knew how to take care of herself.

Electricity ran through them both like sparks going off as he continued to kiss her neck. She couldn't help but love him. Though she loved The Doctor too it's wasn't the same as it was with The Master. Sparks seemed to fly with him as for The Doctor, there was sparks but they were very faint. It was like fireworks with The Master.

It then got her thinking, maybe she was meant to be with The Master all this time. Maybe he was the prince she was looking for all this time just like the fairy tales The Doctor would always let her borrow.

"Hey Koschei..." She called out to him as he stopped and looked up at her.

"What is it my dear?" He asked her.

"D-Do you think that maybe we're...M-Mates?" She blurted out with her face bright red as she looked into his eyes.

He smirked and kissed her lips passionately agreeing. She seemed to melt under the kiss as it was filled with hunger but also love. She could tell he agreed.

She began to put down her mental shields to let him into her mind as he gladly came in. She then went into his mind.

They could read each other feelings, see all the things they had seen, all the things they had done. Their minds were finally connected with each other. She could hear the drums quieting down in his mind as the ticking clock quieted down in hers as they were touching each other. The electricity flowing between them with a simple, soft touch.

She was so engulfed in the kisses and touch she couldn't tell he was taking off her clothes as she pulled back from his mind sensing it. He looked into her eyes smirking sending a mental message to her.

"Say my name!" He commanded her.

She stuck out her tongue refusing to say it giving him a challenge as he smirked at her. She was going to obey him one way or another. Her stubbornness didn't bother him at all, it was one of the many things he loved about her.

"Koschei..." She blurted out knowing that wasn't the name he wanted to hear her say.

"Bad Tiger, I guess I have to put a collar on you so you know who your Master is." He then began to trace kisses down her neck again.

She felt herself completely surrendering to him but she wouldn't give up without a bit of a challenge. This was going to be interesting for the both of them.
