Chapter 10! I wrote this at 3:30 last night, so it probably doesn't make a lot of sense. I proofread it earlier and saw that I had written 'They need you as much as they need you'. Anywho-vian, (that's a Doctor Who pun), I'm probably gonna have two more chapters... possibly. I hope you guys like it. Please tell me if you see ANY mistakes.

"Looks like our guests have arrived," Black Mask hissed as the three unlikely allies entered the warehouse. "But I wasn't expecting these people." Black Mask gestured to Catwoman and Joker. "I thought we spoke about what would happen if you tried to defy me." Black Mask held a controller in his hand. Catwoman's breath caught in her chest, but she refused to look scared.
"What's that?" Robin asked. Catwoman regained herself quickly and glimpsed down at Robin.
"A kill switch," Catwoman sneered. "Every villain in Gotham…" she glanced sideways at Joker. "Almost every villain in Gotham was forced to ingest a small tracker. He controls when or if it goes off."
"Do you want to live?" Black Mask inquired. "It's not too late. Attack the intruders, and I'll forget you ever betrayed me," he wagered. Robin looked up at Catwoman. Would she take that deal? She froze for a second before turning around, facing Robin and Joker. She refused to look at Robin, instead focusing her eyes at Joker. Robin gasped. She was going to fight them. I'm not one to stay on sides; she had said that.
"I'll deal with the cat!" Joker cried, sprinting from the warehouse. Robin watched Catwoman hurry after the clown. Black Mask chuckled and waltzed toward Robin smoothly. He had a cocky stature as he pulled out a gun. He aimed it right at Robin's forehead, between the eyes.
"It was stupid of you to come back to Gotham," Black Mask hissed," just to see your father slaughtered!" The gun abruptly turned from Robin to Batman. Black Mask shot once, searing a bullet into Batman's shoulder. Robin flipped out a birdarang and hurled it. It chipped at Black Mask's hand, knocking the gun from his hands. Black Mask sneered, turning his attention to Robin. He shot a hand out, clenching Robin's throat.
Robin coughed as the hand tightened around his neck. "Do you see this mask on my face?" he asked roughly. "Batman did this to me! He trapped me in a fire! He pretends to fight for justice, but the only injustice in Gotham is you two!"
"Roman, you know that isn't true," Batman grunted from the chains.
"Shut up! You ruined my life! As Bruce Wayne you stole my company! As Batman you destroyed everything I stood for! You threw me into Arkham for doing what I had a right to do!" Black Mask screamed, hand clawing into Robin's neck. Robin uttered a weak gasp as more air was cut off from his lungs.
"You killed innocent people! You murdered your parents for their fortune!" Batman rebutted. "You had no 'right' to do that!"
"Shut up! You ruined me, so I'm going to ruin you, starting with your son!" Black Mask hollered, throwing Robin. Robin hit the ground on his broken arm and howled. He coughed and gasped on the ground, struggling to regain his breath, while Black Mask stalked over. He had picked up his gun again and had it trained on Robin.
Robin forced himself to his feet and instantly regretted it. His vision was full of black dots from a lack of oxygen. He couldn't get air in his deprived lungs. Black Mask used this chance to pistol whip Robin in the head. The boy collapsed to the ground, hands going up to protect his head.
Black Mask leaned forward to pick Robin up, but Robin had anticipated it. He swept Mask's legs out from underneath him, sending the masked villain to the ground beside him. Robin pulled a pair of handcuffs and started to cuff Mask, only to be kicked in the chest. Black Mask scrambled to his feet and punched Robin in the temple.
Robin's vision hazed, and he lost control of his body. He could do nothing but watch as Black Mask stormed to Batman. He ripped the cowl right from Batman's face, revealing Bruce Wayne underneath. Robin blindly searched in his utility belt for another birdarang. He felt nauseous but forced himself to focus long enough to aim.
Robin chucked the birdarang, hitting Black Mask's back. Black Mask violently turned once again toward Robin. "I'm losing my temper with you!" Black Mask hollered, sending a swift kick to Robin's side. Robin forced a smirk, although in his mind he was screaming.
Black Mask nodded at something Robin couldn't see. Suddenly vines wrapped around his wrists and ankles, lifting him off the ground. Robin grimaced as the vines tightened around his broken arm. Ivy came into view, arms folded across her chest. Robin growled and stared her down.
"I was going to deal with you second, but you've gotten on my last nerve," Black Mask hissed. "You're going to watch your protégé die, Batman!" Robin struggled against the vines, but they only tightened. Ivy chuckled as Mask approached Robin. Robin writhed helplessly as a blade appeared from Black Mask's pocket.
"This is going to be as slow and painful as possible," Black Mask promised, letting the blade skim over Robin's chest. Robin cursed violently, obviously irritating the masked man. "Ivy, gag him!" Mask ordered. Robin felt a vine slither around his face before tightening. He had no choice but to open his mouth, instantly blocking his voice.
"This is going to hurt you so much more than it'll hurt me!" Black Mask pushed on the blade slightly, allowing droplets of blood to escape. Robin sneered and jerked himself away as best as he could. Black Mask didn't allow him to get far. The blade was stabbed into Robin's shoulder. Robin would've screamed louder if the gag hadn't been blocking his voice.
Batman struggled against his chains. He didn't care about being electrocuted anymore; all that mattered to him was that his son was safe. He managed to get himself out of the chains, but the electrocution made him black out.
"Ha! Nobody can save you now. Your dad just anesthetized himself. You're friends are dead. Your trusty Catwoman abandoned you. You're alone," Black Mask whispered, ripping the knife from Robin's shoulder. Blood poured everywhere, staining the ground beneath him.
"His blood is ruining my babies!" Ivy cried, pulling her vines back. Robin dropped to the ground in a crouch. Black Mask stumbled back a step, afraid that Robin would attack; however, it became evident rather quickly that Robin was in no shape to fight. He collapsed right onto his side, clutching his injured shoulder. Black Mask chuckled nervously and returned to Robin's side.
Robin stared up at Black Mask from behind his domino mask. He was thankful nobody could see the fear in his eyes. Black Mask flipped the knife around happily before stopping right over Robin's chest. He frowned at the blood on the blade.
"Hmm, we really can't use a dirty knife, can we?" he asked Robin, though he wasn't expecting a response. Robin grimaced as Mask wiped the blood off on Robin's face. Robin could feel the warm liquid that was once inside of him.
Mask returned the knife to Robin's chest. He slit a small incision right above Robin's heart. He was marking his target. Robin could do little for himself, barely managing to keep his eyes open. Mask raised the knife above his head. His face was crazed and psychotic. Robin's chest heaved as Black Mask's hand flew down.
Robin, being a quick thinker, managed to shift himself at the last minute. Instead of the knife going through his heart, it went slightly to the side, chipping at his ribs. Robin still screamed at the pain, letting two tears form in his eyes. His breathing hitched, and Robin gasped for air. He'd never felt so much pain in his life. Suddenly the blade was pulled out, only strengthening Robin's screams.
Black Mask turned from him unceremoniously, now headed toward Batman. Without looking back at the dying boy he told Ivy, "Go deal with Joker." Ivy nodded and left, ignoring Robin and his blood. Just before she opened the door, a knockout gas filled the warehouse.
Robin smirked slightly from the ground. He forced himself to pull on a small gas mask, kept in his utility belt. He had planted a tripwire gas system right before Catwoman, Joker, and he had broken in. Because the door wasn't shut until after Joker and Catwoman left, it didn't activate until Ivy got close enough.
Ivy dropped to the floor in an instant. Black Mask screamed angrily and charged at Robin. He had thought Batman was the villain, but Robin was obviously worse. He just didn't know when to quit.
Robin was too weak to dodge Mask, but luckily, he didn't have to. Black Mask breathed in the gas and collapsed to the ground. Robin was left in the warehouse with three unconscious adults. He turned to Batman, who was kept from falling by an electrical wire.
Robin couldn't feel his body; the blood loss was about to force him into unconsciousness. But the thought of losing his mentor scared him into action. Robin dragged himself across the warehouse, leaving a trail of blood as he walked. He kept thinking back to science class. His teacher had told the class getting shot is only fatal 5% of the time. Did that apply to stabbings too?
Robin reached Batman and fumbled in his belt lazily for a pair of heavy-duty pliers. He cut the electrical wire and watched Batman collapse, the wire no longer supporting his weight.
Robin sighed with contentedness. Everything was over. It was hell, but it was over. Robin wanted nothing more than to sleep. He wiped the blood from his face grimly. He had just reached for his comm to radio the Watchtower for help when he heard a gun cock behind him.
"I won't let Batman win," the voice of Black Mask howled, pulling the trigger. Robin's head was just turning toward the man when a gunshot filled the warehouse. Robin stared at his stomach, eyes wide. He looked at Black Mask in horror before falling down, down, down. The color of the world faded drastically before everything blended into a horrible darkness. The last thing Robin felt was the warmth as more blood pooled around him.
Getting shot is only fatal 5% of the time. But which percent was Robin in?
oh no... oh nO... oh NO... oH NO... OH NO... OH NO! This wasn't supposed to happen, but I was tired, so I turned into Satan. My bad. :)
