Carissa POV

I woke up after sleeping for two days straight to someone knocking on my door. I opened it to find Stephen standing there. I was surprised that he was in New York, but I knew that Megan had an apartment here for her job.

"Are you ok?" I asked him and he sighed.

"Megan and Ah got into a fight." He said and I nodded as he slipped past me.

"Sorry that Ah woke yeh up lass." He said and I waved it off.

"I needed to get up. I will make some tea." I said and he followed me into the kitchen. I put the water to boil, went and brushed my teeth, and came back to sit in the kitchen with Stephen.

"What happened?" I asked him after I gave him some tea.

"She thinks Ah am cheating on her." He said and I put my hand over his.

"Sorry, Ste, I know that you love her. I could try and talk to her if you want me to." I said.

"Nah, lass, but thanks. Ah think that I am just going to have to let her realize this, plus we have been having stupid fights on and off. Ah think she wants me to be home more." He said and I nodded.

"Will she move back?" I asked him and he shrugged.

"She flew back this morning; Ah don't know when she will be back." he said and I nodded.

Stephen and Megan had been dating since his days in IWW. He loved her with everything he had and I knew that he just wanted her to be happy. I wasn't surprised that he would let her go so easily… he only wanted her happiness.

We hung out most of that day and Stephen seemed to cheer up a little bit. Stephen was a fun guy to be around and he could be intimidating when he needed to be; he also had a surprisingly good sense of fashion. He finally went home later that night and I finished up some stuff. We were flying out tomorrow afternoon and Stephen was going to ride with me.

Stephen POV

I was glad that Carissa lived in New York, because I had no idea what I would do if I was stuck here without Megan. She just left and I knew that I had told her if it ever got too much then she could just walk away, but I never thought that she would actually do it.

We took a taxi to the airport the next day. I was so tired because I hadn't slept.

"Take a nap, Ste." Carissa said when she got onto the plane.

"Ah can't. Ah can't sleep anymore without her." I said and I felt like an idiot for saying that.

"Come here." She said and picked up my arm. She snuggled up underneath it and smiled up at me. I squeezed her closer before falling asleep as the wheels left the ground. We had a few hours until we arrived in Dallas.

I carefully woke Carissa up and we got off the plane, grabbed luggage, and headed for the hotel.

"Thanks." I said and she hugged me.

"You were my first real friend here and I am not going to let you go through this alone." She said and I smiled at her. She really was a nice person and Paul was lucky to have her; he just didn't need to mess up again.

I put my stuff in my room and met her in the lobby. I had a signing and she was going with me since Paul, Heath, and Beth didn't get in until later. I was having a signing with Stu. We got there and Stu hugged Carissa before she sat down next to the WWE PR person that was at the signing.

"I thought she was dating Paul." Stu said and I nodded.

"She is, but we are good friends." I said and he nodded.

Paul POV

I got to the city and went to where Stu and Stephen were having their signing. I got there and saw Carissa sitting with Paige, the PR person for the signing, and they were talking. I walked over, showed some credentials, and sat down on Carissa. She squealed and Stephen looked over at us.

"Sorry." She said and I was laughing her; they were as well.

"Is that your girlfriend?" someone asked Stephen.

"Nah, she's my best friend." He said and Carissa smiled.

"Come on, we can eat." I said and she shook her head no.

"Waiting on Stephen." She said and I nodded. I knew they were good friends.

"Fine, scoot over." I said and sat down with her.

We were having fun talking while the guys signing autographs, got asked random questions, and had pictures taken. A few fans spotted me and I would wave, but I just kept on talking to Carissa. I was just glad to get to see her.

They got done and we left to meet Beth and Heath. Stu decided to join us since we were going to an Indian buffet place. We all piled into a taxi cab bus and met Heath and Beth. Beth hugged Carissa as we went inside and paid.

We pigged out and I noticed that Stephen and Carissa looked a lot closer than they had before the break.

"So, how's Megan?" I asked Stephen.

"She left me and went back to Ireland." He said and Beth hugged him.

"Was it because she thought you were spending too much time with Carissa?" I asked and was met with a swift elbow from Carissa. She sighed as Stephen got up and left.

"You are an ass." She said as she followed after him.

"Dick move." Stu said and I shrugged.

"What? I don't care that they are friends, but I don't like the fact that he's been staring at her all night." I said.

"Fine, that aside, you shouldn't call him out like that." Beth said and I shrugged.

"I will talk to her back at the hotel." I said and they shook their heads.

Carissa POV

I finally caught up to Stephen a few blocks away and I stopped him.

"I'm…" I was saying when I was cut off my his lips pressing against mine.
