The next few days Santana concentrated on packing for her trip with Quinn, and settling into life with Harry and Teddy. Harry had mentioned something about visiting Blaise in Italy over the winter break, but too many things were happening to make it feasible. Santana was a little disappointed about that and Harry promised a hell of a summer vacation to make up for it. While she and Quinn were detailing their little trip Harry and Draco were conspicuously absent working on some project that neither were talking about. Santana figured it had something to do with her and Quinn and let the boys keep the secret. That didn't mean she hadn't tried seducing Harry into telling her what was happening, but he was able to turn it around on her by literally pleasuring her until she passed out. She had to stop that method, she wouldn't survive if she had kept it up.
On the day the girls were to leave Harry was unnaturally clingy, as was Teddy. He made Santana breakfast in bed and ended up giving her some spectacular going away sex. Teddy had a long face, again literally, at the fact that he wasn't allowed to go with the two girls. Andromeda and Narcissa had managed to make him feel better by promising a little vacation of their own to the zoo. This left Harry and Draco to their own devices for a whole day, which was spent finishing the apartment above Harry's garage for Quinn. They enlisted Narcissa to decorate it tastefully enough that Quinn would enjoy it.
Santana and Quinn were barely into their eleven hour drive before they started chatting.
"So how is couple life treating you really?" Quinn asked her friend.
"It's amazing, Harry is really an exceptional boyfriend and lover. The things he can do to my body is unreal. The boys are being super secretive about whatever they are doing, and whenever I try to seduce the answer out of Harry he gives me orgasms so powerful I pass out after three." Santana explained. She knew there were some things she couldn't share, but that didn't matter too much to her. Quinn wanted the juicy, and Harry was juicy in a nonmagical way. They spent the next few hours discussing Harry and his sexual prowess before stopping for the day at a decent hotel.
"What do you think of Draco?" Santana finally asked her blonde friend curiously. She wanted to protect both of them.
"He is very handsome and the utmost gentleman. I can see us being more than friends or co-workers. He is very suave, kind of what I always wanted in a way." Quinn explained dreamily. Santana giggled at the besotted look on her friend's face. They turned in for the night since they knew that had an early morning. They were only about two hours away since they made good time with minimal stops.
The girls arrived at Quinn's dorm around midday the next day. It was while they were packing that Santana wished Harry and Draco had come so that they could magic the packing like they did for her. Thankfully Quinn didn't have a lot of stuff and they were finished in record time. Quinn had one more stop at the Registrar office to transfer to the local community college, the same one Santana had applied to for her teaching degree. Yale proved to be as efficient as promised and Quinn was transferred and on her way in under an hour. The girls decided to get a room for the night before making the trek back to Lima. Santana was hopeful that Draco would explain magic to Quinn before she accidently said something she shouldn't have.
Harry and just putting the last coat of paint on in Quinn's new living room when his mobile started ringing with Blaise's ringtone. He quickly spelled the walls dry and answered.
"Hello," Harry answered.
"Why are you not in Italy with this new girlfriend of yours?" Came the acerbic reply, causing Harry to laugh incredulously.
"Andromeda, Narcissa, and Draco moved here from across the pond. I am also helping one of Santana's friends with living arrangements, and the break here isn't as long as the one for Hogwarts was." Harry told him, he could hear a female voice in the background berating Blaise for his caustic greeting before a thwack was heard. Harry assumed that Daphne had not taken kindly to what Blaise had said and was taking the phone away from him. Merlin he missed these two.
"So sorry Harry, I didn't realize Blaise was going to be a prat about things when he called." She apologized and continued before he could get a word in edgewise. "We understand if things are bit hectic right now and extend the invitation to come to this summer. We are spending a few weeks in Italy, a few weeks in Greece, and then coming to see your place. You are more than welcome to join us with whoever you want." Harry waited a beat or two and when he concluded that she was waiting on an answer he replied.
"That sounds lovely. Santana and I will come, and Draco of course. If things work out the way I expect then Santana's friend Quinn will join as well. I think I'll leave Teddy here with Andromeda since they were separated for so long and they can take their own vacation to wherever they want to go. I know Teddy doesn't really enjoy the travelling between countries." He spent a few more minutes on the phone before hanging up. He looked around and realized that he was done with the painting and now it was up to Narcissa to decorate and stage and whatnot.
The day the girls arrived back was a bit busy for the Potter-Black household. Harry enlisted Teddy to keep the animals contained and busy while the rest of the adults were occupied. Draco and Narcissa were putting the finishing touches on Quinn's new apartment while Harry and Andromeda cooked a welcome home feast. Harry had taken the initiative to invite some of Quinn and Santana's glee friends over for the welcome. He was a bit leery about letting some of them over since he was their teacher, but quickly got over it when he realized they were totally cool about things. The old teacher must be like this as well. He got a shock when the friends that were away in New York and various other places took the time to fly in for the party as well. Which is why Andromeda was helping him in the kitchen instead of helping Narcissa and Draco. Harry felt the magic of his car coming closer and looked out the window to see his SUV coming up the road.
"Alright you lot, they are almost here." He called out happily. He grabbed Teddy and they walked out of the front door to greet the two girls. Santana literally burst out of the driver's seat and launched herself at Harry and Teddy. She gave Teddy a big hug and kiss to his forehead before planting a serious kiss on her boyfriend. Harry came up laughing at the enthusiastic greeting.
"I missed you too," He laughed as he crushed her body to his tightly, just breathing in her shampoo. He smiled at Quinn when he noticed her walking up as well. "Well, I have a right surprise for the pair of you so head on in." He told them. He watched the delight in both their eyes when they saw all of their friends in the house. Harry would remember the next few hours fondly as he watched Santana and Quinn circulate between all of the friends and catch up on all of the gossip. It was after everyone had gone that he and Draco blindfolded both girls before leading them to the new garage apartment.
"Ready?" Draco asked them eagerly.
"Ready!" Both girls replied happily. Harry and Draco removed the blindfolds together and laughed at the shock on their faces.
"I know what it is like to feel like a burden, so I figured you would enjoy your own apartment. It has its own entrance as well." Harry told the silent girl, and accepted the tight hug she gave him willingly. Santana smiled softly at her boyfriend and promised herself that he would get a reward for that. Things were finally looking up for her and she couldn't be happier about it.
Harry chatted with Draco as they waited on the girls to finish their tour of Quinn's new apartment and while he waited he fingered the ring he had stowed in his pocket. When the time was right he would present this ring to his loving girlfriend and just hope she would say yes. He brought his family to Lima, Ohio in hopes that it would help them heal from the War and the betrayal of once-beloved friends, and he couldn't get any happier than he is at this moment in time. Coming here was the best decision, hands down, he had ever made; and he couldn't wait to see what the future brought with it.
