11. AN Please Read: IMPORTANT

Hello everyone. I wasn't planning on ever doing a chapter that was solely an Author's Note, but I've recently come to terms with something about this story and my writing that has necessitated it.

I'm not abandoning the story, let's just get that out of the way first. I'm unsubscribing from a core goal I've had for this story since the beginning: 100k words. I know it has been one of the main things I've set out to do since the start, but I've recently admitted to myself that it has been the root cause for my no longer enjoying writing this story. As of writing this, which I will post as soon as I'm done writing it, I've only written a partial chapter in a month. Every update you have read was back piled from May, minus one.

The 100k word goal has been hindering me because I've been trying to save plot points, only using one or two per chapter, and padding the rest with extra. And I'm running out of extra.

So, my solution is that I'm going to start writing chapters with as many plot points as I need to reach the 3k+ word mark. I know this will likely result in a much shorter overall story, but it's what I have to do.

I hope you understand my reasoning, and I hope none of you feel like I am letting you down, because in the end, I am writing this story for me, and the fact you all get to read this is a happy bonus.

Anyway, because of this, I'm not posting a chapter this week to allow me to figure my shit out in terms of writing, and I'll be back to regular updates next week.
