QUESTION

Should there be a pairing? Who do you want to be a couple?

Answer in the comments, cause ive been thinking about it but haven't really put it into the story.

I dont own Left 4 Dead~! duh

I felt the wind pick up as rope was being tightened around my neck, my nose twitched from the smell of a fire burning next to us…most likely to throw our bodies in it when we die yet again. Everyone from the vehicle was standing in a row besides one another keeping silent and waiting for our death that is soon to come. I heard Ashley sob from my far right; she would be the last to go since they would be starting from the left, at this point I was glad that I can't see. Amber was beside me and everyone up on this stand was listening to the crowd that roared out painful insults at us.

"Monsters!"

"Kill the beats!"

"Should have never lived!"

"Pathetic ugly creatures."

"Burn them!"

"Rip off their heads!"

"Demons!"

All those insults pained my stilled heart, it wasn't my choice to become undead, and it wasn't my plan to kill innocent people, why can't they see that? "Because they are the monsters, this is humanity at its finest. Not wanting to accept others, but rather to kill them." I frowned at what Des said, I didn't want to believe it but that was the most reasonable answer. I heard a 'thunk' sound and then the crowd cheer, my only guess was that they started the hangings. With every neck that was snapped I twitched, with every neck that was broken they cheered. When it came down to Amber's turn…one could say that I felt nervous and of wanting to cry.

"Victoria." I turned towards Amber who spoke human making everyone instantly go silent.

"They can talk?!" "

It was fun while it lasted." I lips trembled as if I was going to cry, I wanted to cry and scream but the undead cannot do such a thing.

"Pull!" thunk

My knees felt heavy as I felt the rope being checked to see if it was tight enough. The filthy human snickered and I growled. I smelt his beer breath as his face was close to my ear.

"Any last words love?" His Scottish accent was heavy has he smelled of oddly enough, clovers. I frowned and nodded my head, if I was going to die…I refuse to be silent it, it's just not in my nature. I heard him laugh, "You hear that everyone, love here wants to say something! Well speak!" I was roughly pushed to the front and I almost tripped if it wasn't for a Smoker to wrap his tongue around my waist to stop me from falling. I heard people making noises of disgust at the smoker and I, yet I did not care, I needed to make this statement and they need to hear it.

I straightened up and looked around even though we all knew I had no eyes, but I didn't do it because of that I did it to make sure that they knew I was talking to everyone. Once it was silent I started, "We were human too….it doesn't matter that we're like this. We're your family and friends who just happened to come back to life, aren't you happy to see us?! You call us a monster, the devil, and many other hurtful names. Yet you burn us, you beat us, you torture us, you toy with us and OUR friends and family and you are calling us monsters!? We don't even do that with our own kind nor to you! From the way we "monsters" see it…the true evil monster here is the humans in front of us." I listened to the silence that engulfed my ears the only sound was their labored breathing.

"KILL THEM!"

"KILL THEM ALL!"

"KILL THE MONSTERS!"

My frowned deepened when I was pulled back in place and my rope was set to make it even tighter. I lowered my head; I was ashamed at what become of people, the dead seemed more human than the humans itself. I felt someone hold my hand; it was the Smoker who helped me. "You did all you can." Was all he said in zombie language before coughing, giving me a reassuring squeeze.

"We all holding hands?" I asked.

"We're a family, one is going down we all are." This time Ashley spoke but in a hushed sob. I nodded, looking forward I prepared my fate as I listened to the footsteps of the executor as he made his way down the row so that all of us would fall at once. I ignored the objects that was being thrown at us, I ignored the words they spoke about us, I ignored the crying Ashley was doing and just listened to Des's harsh breathing.

"Long live the infection." Des snarled.

"PULL!"
