Hello my lovely readers! I present you all with a new chapter.
I have to be honest though...Yu-Gi-Oh! isn't really my strong suit...So! To all you experts out there let me know if there is something wrong with the way I wrote for the dueling parts! Like if I wrote an effect wrong or made an incorrect move. I only have what meager knowledge I was able to gather and some not so expert guidence. Help is appreciated!
Please enjoy this next chappie.
Yuma was running at an incredible speed towards Caswell's house. He was, however, growing tired, but he urged his legs to continue moving at the same speed. He turned on his duel gazer and marked Caswell's number.
Caswell, meanwhile, was still sleeping when he heard his gazer go off. He groaned as he tried to fall back asleep. The gazer continued to ring so he went to pick it up.
"Yes?" He groggily asked, while rubbing his eyes.
"Hey Caswell, it's Yuma. I'm coming over to your place right now!" Yuma huffed.
"Yuma, it's like…"Caswell turned to his alarm clock, "4:38 in the morning. And wait-. Are you running all the way here?" Caswell asked.
"Yes. I'm almost to your apartment." Yuma said.
"Yuma can't this wait 'till later?" He yawned.
"NO!" Caswell jerked as he moved the gazer away from his ear. "This is an emergency Caswell!"
"Fine," Caswell tiredly ran his hand into his hair, "I'll get ready."
"Thanks Caswell," Yuma responded before ending the call.
He needed to hurry or it might be too late to save Tori. That encouraged him to run even faster. He easily outran the dogs that were startled by him running past them and began to chase him. The dogs tiredly collapsed a few blocks back.
Finally, he made it to his friend's apartment complex. He walked in through the glass doors and ran into the corridor. He rapidly tapped on the elevator button and impatiently waited for the elevator to take him up. Yuma continued to run in place as the elevator ticked every time it fell another floor. Yuma let out a scream of frustration and ran off to find the stairs. He opened the metal door and began to speed up the stairs.
Finally, he reached floor 43 and ran into the hallway. He then found room 320 and began to knock frantically against the door.
"Caswell! It's me! Open up!" Yuma yelled. The door opened abruptly and Yuma was too panicked to realize that the door was open and ended up beating up Caswell.
"Oops, sorry Caswell! I'm just really jumpy right now!" Yuma said as he began to jump in place, trying to wear out his nerves.
Caswell groaned in pain. "It's fine...what was so important that you needed to come here so early?" Caswell yawned.
"This is about Tori!"
"Oh, yeah, speaking of which, what happened to her? She hasn't shown up to class for a long time and I figure you would at the very least know where she is right now." Caswell asked.
"Listen Caswell! Tori's been kidnapped!" Yuma yelled in his friend's face. Caswell leaned back from the loudness of Yuma's voice before processing what he actually said. His eyes widened and he snapped his head in Yuma's direction.
"What?!"
"Yeah! Tori's been kidnapped!"
"But wouldn't her mom be worried about her? She would have called the police and reported her missing the second she disappeared!"
"That's the thing!" Yuma cried out as he waved his arms frantically. "Tori's mom left town and moved to a different city!"
"No way my angel-er Mrs. Meadows really left?! Why?" Caswell whimpered.
"Caswell!" Yuma yelled.
"Well then Tori left with her mom then?" Caswell was confused.
"NO!" Yuma yelled out. "Tori's mom left without her!" Yuma said angry.
"What?! Why would she do such a thing?!"
"I don't know…"
"How do you know that she left without Tori for sure?"
"Tori left this note…" Yuma handed the note to Caswell. Caswell quickly read through the letter and when he finished he looked up at his friend, the shock clearly present in his face.
"This is-!"
"Mmhmm!"
"This...this changes everything." Caswell held his chin in his hand. "That would mean that Mrs. Meadows-" the boy flushed lightly at the name- " had knowingly decided to leave Tori behind, but why?"
"I don't know and I don't care," Yuma ranted. "You don't just get up and decide to move without your kid! That's just wrong"
"I agree with you Yuma," Caswell said rather sadly.
"And who knows how Tori must be feeling right now…"
"Why don't you just go and find her then?"
"Ah, about that…" Yuma trailed off before looking determinedly at his friend. Caswell seemed slightly startled before he relaxed once again.
"I need you to hear me out. " Yuma said, a sort of desperation was heard in his voice.
"How come?" Caswell spoke carefully.
"I just need you to do this, please."
Caswell hesitated before responding with a nod.
"Okay here's what happened…"
...
"What?!" Caswell jumped out of his seat. "She was kidnapped by a number hunter?! And one that would have beaten you if he had finished the battle?! And that's why you've been so against battling lately?"
"Yeah…" Yuma looked at his hands, twiddling his thumbs.
"I see…" Caswell trailed off. "This makes things extremely difficult. Not only do we have no clue as to where Tori is being held hostage at this point, but she was kidnapped by someone with such a high ability…"
"What do we do Cas?" Yuma asked, worried.
"I think we're going to need expert help for this Yuma. Clearly none of us have the capability to go against this Kite, even if we are able to find Tori, we won't be able to save her."
"Well...who do we ask for help then?"
"What about Shark? He's a good duelist, isn't he? He beat you several times before, didn't he?"
"Thanks Cas...why don't you rub it in?" Yuma sighed. "But you're right. This time my feelings towards Shark have nothing to do with this. We have to do whatever we have to to save Tori!"
"I'll call him right now!" Yuma jumped out of his seat, startling Caswell.
"Yuma! You don't even have his number!"
"Oh yeah…"
"Our best bet is just to hope that he's at school tomorrow and ask him then."
"Alright!"
"Now will you please let me sleep." Caswell yawned. "We have class in a few hours and, in the end, I really need that time to sleep to be ready for school tomorrow."
"You got it! See ya tommor-er later Caswell!" Yuma yelled out the door as he ran down the stairs again.
Caswell yawned again before apologizing to his neighbors for Yuma's roudiness.
Well, that's a wrap! Next time is back to Tori and Kite! Let's see what they're doing when the next chapter comes out!
Wisteria: Hmmm...
Tori: What's wrong Wisteria?
Wisteria: I'm trying to see where exactly I want this story to go...
Tori: Isn't Willshipping endgame though?
Wisteria: Well, technically yes...
Kite: What do you mean technically?
Wisteria: I dunno if I want to create drama or not...
Tori: Isn't Yuma looking for me dramatic enough?
Wisteria: Of course not! This is a romance based fanfic! Besides Yuma doesn't even know that he's supposed to be jelly!
Yuma: *panics* I'm going to get eaten?!
Wisteria: No, dummy! It's how I say jealous!
Yuma: *confused* Jealous of what?
The other three sigh
