The morning of Harry and Ginny wedding, Ginny woke up to the maid in her bathroom getting the bath ready for her. She smiled, she was finally marrying Harry. She was happy and nervous at the same time. After the wedding were things going to change or would they same the way. Would he still want to steal kisses in front of the servants or would he put on his prince face. She had fallen in love with him the real Harry. She knew she was going to stand up there today marrying Prince Harry James Potter and his country and an alliance will be made between their two kingdoms but in her heart she was marrying just Harry. And she wanted that to be her husband. She tried to remember the words that Lily had told her. It's not like she is going to be queen right away since James isn't dead.
"Your Highness," A maid had enter her bedroom. Ginny popped up. "Your bath is ready, and your mother and bridesmaids will be here in an hour to help you."
"Thank you," Ginny threw her covers off. She looked around the room to see it one more time. This was the last time she was going to be in this room because after the wedding she would be staying in Harry's room until she was told different but she felt that she was going to share Harry's bed until the end of their days.
She went to her bathroom to see a tub filled with hot water. She striped off nightgown and set it on the chair and got in the tub. There was soap and rags on a stool for her. A maid came in to help her. She washed her hair and body. The maid held open a towel for her. Ginny wrapped it around her and dried off before putting on the robe that was being held out. She went back to her room to find her undergarments were on the bed waiting for her to put on. She put them on before sitting in front of her dressing table. The maid, who helped her dry off came and brushed out her hair. She was starting to put it in something when the door open and her mother, Hermione, Tonks, and Luna came in.
Ginny smiled at them. Her mother had tears in her eyes. She started to make her way over until the maid stopped her. Ginny looked to see Hermione, Tonks, and Luna trying not to laugh. Her mother didn't look happy not to be able to hug her daughter. Molly went over to the wedding dress to get a good look at it.
Ginny looked at her friends to see how happy they were. Hermione was looking like a new bride, all smiles and there was a glow about her. The day after her wedding to Ron, they told their families. As Ginny knew her mother and father were very happy about it. Hermione's parents weren't that happy about it and it didn't help that James and Lily were happy for Hermione because they thought of her as a daughter. Hermione's parents left soon after that and wasn't heard from again. Ginny knew that Hermione wasn't very happy about her parents but Ron was making up for it. Ginny was wondering if Hermione would be telling them that she pregnant soon.
She saw that Tonks was very happy. After the wedding Lupin was taking her to his country home so she could give birth to their child there. Ginny smiled she didn't think that she had never saw her friend this happy and she was happy for her.
Luna was a different story, she wouldn't tell them anything about what was going on between her and Lord Longbottom, who just last night told Ginny that she should call him Neville. Ginny thought that they were taking things very slow right now and waiting for the war to be over so they could truly be happy. Ginny understood what they were doing, she wished that she could have done that with Harry but time wouldn't let them.
"I'm so happy for Ginny, you are marrying Harry today." Hermione said.
"I know, I can't wait until I see him." Ginny smiled. Molly looked at her daughter to see that she looked truly happy.
"Are you sure, dear?" Her mother said. Molly had taken a seat on the bed. Ginny looked at her mother.
"Yes, Mama," Ginny hasn't called her mother that since she was ten and thought that she was too old to do that. "Harry makes me happy and I know this is going somewhere. He is it for me, it is just happening a little faster than I thought." Molly nodded. The maid was finished with her hair, she had left the room quietly. Ginny got up and hugged her mother. They were both happy.
"Let's put on your dress now," Luna said quietly. Hermione and Tonks nodded. Ginny broke out her mother's arms and laughed. She wiped away the tears.
"This is to be happy," Ginny let out a chuckle.
"It is," Molly said. "It's not every day that your daughter gets married. Just wait until you have a daughter and it's her time to get married." Ginny nodded.
Ginny untied her robe and slipped out of it. Luna and Hermione got the dress. They held on to it as she got in. They lanced it for her. She lifted the skirt and went to the mirror to look at the dress. She was beautiful. It seem different then yesterday when she was at the last fitting for the dress. Maybe it had something to do with that today she was marrying her prince.
"You are beautiful," She heard her mother say from behind her. Ginny looked in the mirror to see that there were tears in everyone eyes.
"Harry won't know what hit him." Hermione let out a little laugh.
"You got that right," Luna said. Tonks smiled and agreed with them.
"I can't wait to see his face when he sees me." Ginny said. "I wonder what he is doing right now?"
Harry was buttoning his royal uniform jacket. Harry couldn't hide the smile that was on his face. He was getting married today to Ginny and somehow he couldn't wait until she was his. There was a knock on the door, Harry thought it was someone telling him it was time so he didn't look up. He was ready to tell his valet to bring his metals to put on.
"Your Highness," Harry looked up to see a man from the war room. He was a gentleman but not as high enough for Harry to know him. Harry glanced at the other men in the room. He traded a look with Draco, Neville, and Ron who were all dressed and ready for the wedding. Harry nodded for him to continue. The man looked around to the other men.
"What you have to say to me you can say in front of these men. I'm going to tell them anyways. I trust them." He nodded.
"Voldemort's troops are halfway through Porotimnotes and heading this way." The man said.
"How many days until he reaches our borders?" Harry asked. Harry had to be Prince Harry right now and he didn't want to be. This was his wedding day and he wanted to be Harry.
"Two days if they don't stop for rest. Three days at the latest." The man said.
"Get the troops ready and we leave tomorrow morning," Harry said.
"Sir," The man was trying to say what he thought was right. Harry waited for him to get it out. "Do you think that is wise? I mean we have to be ready."
Harry gave him a look. "Do you know what today is?" The man nodded.
"Your wedding day," He choked out. Harry nodded.
"Yes, I want to enjoy it and any man I trust to lead the troops are in this room with me." He pointed to Ron, Neville, and Draco. The man nodded and bowed before exiting the room. Harry turned to the other three. "My father will know already," They nodded. "I don't want any women knowing about this until tomorrow when we are gone. Today we are going to smile and have fun," Harry smiled. "Because it is my wedding." The others smiled. "Be ready tomorrow, we leave at first light." The other's nodded. Harry waved to his valet, who was standing in the doorway with the box of metals that Harry had to put on. He put them on.
Ron came out with a bottle of whiskey and four glasses. He poured some in each of them. He smiled as he handed them out to the other three. "To Harry that he can survive this wedding and marriage to my sister." The men laughed and lifted their glasses then down the whiskey.
"That is if he can survive the war first," Draco smiled. They laughed again.
"I hate all of you," Harry said. Harry wanted to say something to Ron but there was a knock on the door. A footman came in after he was told to come in.
"Your Highness, it is time," He said as he closed the door again. They straighten their clothes before leaving Harry's room.
They made their way down to the chapel. The double doors open and Harry went in. The seats were filled every noble family in the kingdom. Their prince was getting married and it would only happen once. Neville, Ron, and Draco followed him in. Harry went and stood at the front with the priest. The other three stood to the side next to him. Harry was nervous, but no one could tell.
The doors open again and a flower girl and a page boy came in. There was a big smile on her face but a little smile on his face. When they came to the front they went to the side. Everyone looked back at the door and Hermione walked through then came Tonks, then came the maid of honor Luna. They came and stood to the side where Ginny was going to stand.
The doors closed again and everyone stood and looked at the doors. Two footmen opened the doors and there stood Ginny on her father's arm. There was a smile on her face and looked right at Harry. He looked right back at her and felt like they were the only ones in the room. She just looked at him as she made her way up to him.
Arthur placed her hand in his. Harry looked in her eyes and saw in her eyes that she was marrying Harry not Prince Harry James Potter. He saw the same thing in her eyes. He was marrying Ginny not Princess Ginevra Molly Weasley. The priest started to talk and Harry barely heard a word of what was being said.
"Do you Prince Harry James Potter take Princess Ginevra Molly Weasley as your wife to have and hold until death do you part?"
In Harry's heart he said the same the same thing but he said do you Harry take Ginny as your wife to have and to hold until death do you part? "I do," Ginny had read his words in her eyes.
"Do you Princess Ginevra Molly Weasley take Prince Harry James Potter as your husband to have and to hold until death do you part?"
In Ginny's heart she said the same thing but he said do you Ginny take Harry as your husband to have and to hold until do you part? Harry read the words in her eyes. "I do," Ginny said.
"I now pronounce you, man and wife," The priest said. "You may kiss the bride," Harry lifted the veil to see a secret smile on Ginny's face. Harry bent down and kissed those lips. It was to be a quick kiss but it didn't turn out that way. Someone cough and Harry thought it might be Ron. Then someone else cough and he knew that it his father. He broke the kiss. The priest smiled. He leaned closer to Harry. "Your father did the same when he married your mother." Harry let out a little laughed and remember to make fin of his father later. "May I present," The priest said louder. "Prince Harry James and Princess Ginevra Molly Potter," Everyone stood and clapped. Harry grabbed Ginny's hand, they walked out of the chapel.
Harry pulled her in a room that was set aside for them. There was a table with two glasses of champagne for them. He grabbed them and handed one to Ginny. He smiled at her. "Here is to us and what the future holds for us." Ginny saw there was a look in his eyes when he tapped their glasses together. Something was happening, and it was soon.
"Harry, what is going on?" Ginny asked.
"Nothing," He put a smile on his face. Ginny could tell that it was forced. "It's our wedding day, let's make it the best." Ginny wanted to say something but there was a knock on the door.
"Your highnesses, it is time," A footman said. Harry nodded and took Ginny glass from her. He set them back on the table before taking Ginny's arm.
He led her to the baloney, the doors were open. Ginny threw him a look before putting a smile on her face. They walked through the doors and waved to the people that were there. There were claps and cheers as Harry and Ginny stood there being the prince and princess that they were to be. They did that for a five minutes before going back in and to the ballroom.
They stopped at the doors, the doors open and they walked in. The ballroom had white flowers everywhere. There were people sitting at the tables that were to the side with the dance floor in the middle. Everyone was clapping as they came in. Harry led Ginny to the high table where their parents were sitting. He held out her chair for Ginny to sit. He took the seat next to her. They were in the center with their parents sitting on either side. Saying that they approve of the marriage. Then sat the wedding party. On James side was Neville and Luna, then Draco. On the Arthur's side was Ron and Hermione and Tonks and Lupin. The footmen brought out the food and placed it down. There were several courses for them. There was talk about the room while eating. People came up and said congratulation to the new couple.
When the food was done, the musicians started to play. Harry led Ginny on the dance floor for the first dance. Everyone watched them before King James and Queen Lily took the floor followed by King Arthur and Queen Molly, soon other couples were on the dance floor. Ginny looked around to see Ron and Hermione, Neville and Luna, and Tonks and Lupin. She saw Draco dancing with someone but couldn't place her. She was beautiful and smiling at Draco like he was it for her. Ginny smiled. Will there be another wedding soon.
Ginny was tired, she danced almost every dance. She dance with Harry, King James, her father, her brothers, Neville, Draco, and a bunch of other men who she couldn't remember who they were. She was sitting at her chair at the head table, watching Harry dance with his mother. She sighed and closed her eyes. She wanted to get away for a second. She heard the music end.
"You can't be sleeping," Ginny opened one to see her husband standing over her with a smile on his face. It sounded nice calling him her husband.
"No, but the dancing took a lot out of me," She smiled right back at him. "Do you think we can get away for an hour? There something I want to show you."
Harry looked around the ballroom to see if anyone was looking at them but they weren't. "Come on," He grabbed her hand and pulled her up. He led her to a door no one could see and went through it. They scared a footman who had a tray of glasses. "You never saw us," Harry said to him. He nodded. Harry ran away. Ginny laughed behind him. "Where to?" He asked.
"The racing track," Ginny said. Harry nodded and went to the stables. He saddle Hedwig quickly. He jumped on and held out his hand and Ginny took it. He placed her in front of him and they raced off to the tracks.
Harry stopped Hedwig in front of the entrance, he got down first then helped Ginny down. Harry gave Ginny a look. She took his hand and led him to the stables. They passed the horses until Ginny stopped them. They were right next to Nimbus' stall. There was a horse in there. His coat was a dark brown that almost made him black but you could see hints of red in there.
"What is this, Ginny?" Harry asked. He knew what this was about but wanted her to say something.
"This is your wedding gift from me," She tried to act innocent but Harry knew better.
"So you can have Nimbus," He waved to the horse. Ginny blushed.
"Maybe," Harry laughed. He pulled Ginny close and kissed her.
"Let's try him out," He opened the stall and went in. He looked the horse in the eyes and started to speak with him. Harry ran a hand over him. He decide that he was perfect. He saddle him and led him out of the sables. "Here," He handed the reins to Ginny while he went to saddle Nimbus.
When he was done, Ginny and he traded reins. They led the horse out of the sables and to the track. Harry help Ginny on Nimbus before jumping on the back of the new horse. He still didn't have a name and Harry was still think about it. Ginny led the way to the start line. Ginny gave Harry a smirk before taking off with Nimbus. Harry laughed but followed her. They raced around the track. Harry loved his new horse. He was fast and that the best.
Harry watched Ginny as she raced and saw how happy she was. She didn't know that he was leaving in the morning to fight, he was glad about that. This time was to be happy for them. He had to show her that he was in love with her tonight because he might not make it. He wanted to be there for her. He wanted to raise a family with her. Harry stopped his horse and closed his eyes and all he saw was a little girl with red hair running down the halls to him and her mother holding their son and heir. That is what Harry wanted to come home too.
"Why did you stop, Harry?" Ginny asked. She had stopped Nimbus next to him.
"Just thinking," He reached across and placed a kiss on her lips. He glanced at the clock that was the seating. "We need to get back because I'm sure that they are going to start missing us." Ginny nodded.
Harry led them back to the sables. They put the horse back before going back to Hedwig who was eating the grass that was around her. Harry helped Ginny and jumped up behind her. They rode back to the castle. They snuck back in the way they came from. Harry opened the door and to see what was going on. He saw that his mother was talking to the footman that had saw them leave. Harry closed the door.
"We're in trouble," He gave her a quick kiss before opening the door and stepping into the ballroom. He had grabbed Ginny's hand. They slowly made their way to the main table. They only made it that far before they were getting looks from both their mothers. They smiled at them. They got a shook of the head. Harry traded a look with Ginny before they took their seats.
The rest of the night passed with dancing and drinking. Queen Molly came and took Ginny to get ready for her wedding night. Ginny was taken to Harry's chambers. Ginny was nervous but this was with Harry, her husband. She went in the bedroom to see that it was ready for them. The sheets were turned down for them. Her mother sat her on the bed.
"Ginny are you okay?" Her mother said. Ginny nodded. Molly smiled. "I'm guessing that Harry has kissed you," Ginny blushed. "I take it by your blush that you enjoyed." Ginny didn't know if her face couldn't go darker. "Most mothers would tell you that this is your duty but I'm going to tell you to enjoy yourself and I'm sure that Harry will make it so for you." Ginny nodded. Her mother reached over and kissed her one more time.
Ginny watched her mother leave and waited for Harry to come in. Harry came in and had taken off his jacket. He gave her smile. He sat down on the bed next to her. He leaned over and kissed her. "Don't worry. This is going to magical." He kissed her again but this time he didn't stop.
The next morning, Ginny woke to find Harry gone. She reached over to his side of the bed and grabbed his pillow. It smelled of him. It made Ginny think of last night. He was gentle with her as he disrobed them. He was very patient with her as it was her first time. Ginny enjoyed herself last night. She wonder where her husband could be. She got out of the bed and found her robe. She put it on and went out in the sitting room. She didn't see him. There was a maid starting the fire in the room.
"Have you seen Prince Harry?" Ginny asked. She shook her head.
"There is a note over there," She pointed to the desk. Ginny made her way over there. She saw a piece of folded paper with her name on it. Ginny picked it up and read over it. She fell on the chair Harry had gone to fight Voldemort. Ginny traced his words and felt tears on her face. She knew this was coming but not this soon. She prayed that he came home safe and sound. She closed her eyes. This was hard for her but she was going to make it through this.
