I do not claim ownership of the cartoon Danny Phantom. Get your facts straight here people.

Previously:

Danny Fenton has run away from home. He packed his bags and set out on a journey with no clear destination. Along the way, he runs into his clone/cousin, Dani with an i, and the two have now made their way to Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, back in Amity Park, Danny's friends and family are doing everything they can think of to track Danny down and bring him home.

The Time Stop:
Chapter Eleven:

Sam, Tucker, and Jazz had burst through the front doors to Fentonworks and stopped in their tracks at the sight that befell them.

There in the living room were nearly a dozen cops, walking around, dusting surfaces for fingerprint, looking in corners, and finally, talking to a distraught Jack and Maddie Fenton.

"Mom! Dad! What going on here?!" Jazz exclaimed, clearly frightened.

Maddie got up off of the couch and ran to grab Jazz in a crushing hug. Her tears began to stain Jazz's shirt as she sniffled and very shakily explained.

"We called the police to help us find Danny," she cried into her daughter's shoulder.

Jack stood up from the couch and he and a pair of police officers followed Maddie's lead and began to explain to the three confused teens what was happening.

"We think someone might have kidnapped Danny," Jack said in a very uncharacteristically solemn voice of the usually bubbly and outgoing adult.

"What?" Sam and Tucker said as Jazz just stared at her father bewildered.

"But he left a note. It was in his handwriting," Jazz inquired. "I help him with his homework all the time. I would know."

"But Danny wouldn't just leave," Maddie said as she finally released her daughter and wiped her eyes. "He wouldn't just leave. He must have been forced to leave that note for us when his captors took him. We are his family. He wouldn't just leave."

Sam, Tucker, and Jazz shared a sad look but didn't say anything. As much as they hated to believe it, they all knew that it had to have been Danny's own choice to leave. There was no other explanation for the locked portal directly below them in the basement.

One of the police officers, the older one who looked like he was in charge, took advantage of the silence to address the three teens.

"We know this is a difficult time for all of you but if you don't mind, we would like to question you all individually, to try and determine whether or not this was a kidnapping or if Daniel did indeed run away of his own free will."

The teens glanced at one another silently before they nodded their consent and the younger officer stepped forward and lead Jazz away from Sam and Tucker towards another room to be questioned.

Jack and Maddie took the two younger teens into the kitchen where they all sat down at the table after Maddie grabbed everyone a can of soda from the fridge. They sat in silence, listening to the sounds of the police continuing their search of the rest of the house for clues.

The officer lead Jazz to an isolated side of the living room and as they sat down, retrieved an pen and pad of paper.

"I'm just going to ask you a few questions and I want to to answer them as honestly as you can to the best of your ability. We are only doing this so that we can find your brother and bring him home." he said calmly.

Jazz was still nervous but her tense shoulders relaxed just a bit. She didn't want to say anything wrong that could lead to the police finding out that her brother is Danny Phantom. She would have to be very careful with what she said. She took a deep breath before she nodded at the police officer and awaited the first question.

After about twenty minutes, Jazz appeared at the entrance between the kitchen and the living room.

"Your turn, Sam," she said as she sat down next the the younger girl. The look on her face giving no insight to her feelings of thoughts.

"How did it go?" Sam asked cautiously as she stood up from the table. "What did they ask you?"

Before Jazz could even open her mouth to answer her, the young officer walked into the kitchen and looked at Sam.

"Sam Manson?"

"That's me."

"Would you please follow me?"

Sam turned to look Jazz straight in the eyes. They stared at each other, seemingly having a silent conversation, and after a moment, Jazz sighed but nodded.

Sam turned back to the officer who was looking at her impatiently and slightly confused by the interaction that just occurred.

"Lead the way." Sam said, her voice confident, calm, and collected.

The two left the room and the four people sitting around the kitchen table let out a collective sigh.

"Think she'll cooperate?" Tucker asked, breaking the silence.

"It's Sam," Jazz replied. "Of course she won't."

"Miss Manson, please just answer the question," the young officer pleaded to the stubborn teen.

"Why should I?" Sam countered. "It's none of your g-ddamn business."

"I just want to know what your relationshi—"

"And I don't care! This has nothing to do with finding Danny. That's supposed to be your job, isn't it? The question is completely irrelevant to your investigation and I don't have to say anything to you. I'm a minor and my parents aren't here so I don't have to say anything!" Sam crossed her arms and frowned hard at the man.

"Okay, how can I contact your parents so that we can get them here?" the man said, slowly losing his patience.

"You can't," Sam said simply.

"Please, just give me a phone number so I can call them. If you don't I'll just get the information anyway, granted it will take a bit longer to do so, but the end result will be the same," The officer tried to reason with the young girl.

"Good luck with that. They're in the middle of the ocean on a cruise right now."

Sam re-entered the kitchen only five minutes later and at the questioning looks, smirked as she reclaimed her seat beside Tucker.

"You're turn geek," she said teasingly as she bumped her elbow gently on his shoulder.

"You're back fast," he inquired with an accusing look.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Sam said innocently, the smirk ever present on her face.

"Sure ya don't," Tucker said, rolling his eyes as he walks from the room to follow the frustrated looking officer who had followed Sam back to the kitchen.

The young officer relaxed just a bit as he discovered that this teen, unlike the last, was not afraid to share with information with him.

However, this did not last long as he soon found out that this teen, this teen can seriously talk. He never shut up. He had only asked the kid how long he had been friends with the missing boy and suddenly he was listening to what seemed like a play-by-play documentary of his entire life as Danny's friend. It had been 15 minutes already and the officer had still yet to ask another question because it seemed like the kid in front of him never even stopped to breathe.

Why me? The officer thought as he rubbed a hand over his face and continued to listen as Tucker described in great detail how he and Danny played an intense internet game and teamed up with other teams all over the internet world to gang-up on the final boss and win the game.

This was going to take a while.

"What do you think is taking them so long?" Maddie asked as she glanced at the clock which showed that Tucker had left with the officer over an hour ago.

"It's Tucker," Sam said simply. "Have you met him? He almost never shuts up."

"I bet the cop hasn't even been able to ask more than five questions so far," Jazz laughed, agreeing with the younger girl.

"Five?" Sam asked as she too began to laugh. "I bet he never even got past the first one!"

Jack and Maddie both smile lightly, watching the interaction between the two girls.

Not even five minutes later, Tucker and the officer return to the kitchen.

"...And then Danny jumped over him and Smash and Tiger attacked from the front as— Oh, hi guys!" Tucker said as he realized that he had been lead back to the others. He turned back to the officer briefly and said "I would have thought you'd have more than one question for me but whatever. I hope something I said helps you!"

Sam gave a pointed look towards Jazz that said, I told you so. Tucker sat down again at the table and the officer left, looking more exhausted than a runner after a marathon.

"So what now?" he asked to no one in particular.

"Maddie looked at the clock on the wall again. "Sam, Tucker would you like to stay for dinner before you leave?"

"Yes please, Mrs. Fenton," the two teens replied.

"Do you have any tofu?"

"Gross! Tofu is disgusting, you should eat some REAL meat once in a while."

"Only if you eat a vegetable."

"You wish!"

Hope you enjoyed. Longest chapter yet I think! So this only about a month later than I was hoping to get this up. I was having a bit of trouble figuring out how to make this sound somewhat realistic. Probably not the best but I figured you all would appreciate it more if I just posted instead of trying, and most likely failing, to make it work better.

I have already started writing the next chapter so it should not take me as long to get it out. Maybe by the end of April. Maybe. We are going to be heading to Las Vegas to see what the Danny Duo have been up to.
