Kay, so it was brought to my attention that I wasn't very clear about what was going on in my last chapter. I was trying to portray the pain that Hotch and Jack were going through, and a little bit of what was happening.

Now I know you probably hate me for not finishing this sooner, but I just have a lot going on. The people around me are going through a lot, and it's been affecting me just as much. Sorry, hope you like the ending. And if you don't let me know! I wouldn't mind writing a few alternate endings if you're taste buds haven't been satisfied J

"Hey Jack!" Morgan said happily. He had wanted to and visit him earlier, but he had gotten taken away on a case and it had been a big one.

"Guess what Uncle Morgan!?" Jack yelled bouncing up and down with the biggest smile anyone had seen on his face in a long time.

"What?" Morgan asked.

"My Daddy is coming home today!" Jack yelled happily.

Morgan just looked at him stunned for a few seconds, before he gave himself a mental slap and forced a smile on his face.

"Jack, why don't you go play in your room until everyone else shows up for dinner." Spencer suggested.

"Ok Spencer!" Jack yelled bounding off to his room.

"What was that?" Morgan asked staring after Jack incredulously.

"He's been saying that all day. He just woke up this morning and announced that Hotch would be coming home today." Reid said worriedly.

"Let's just try and avoid the subject without crushing the rest of his soul." Morgan suggested as someone knocked on the door.

"It's open Rossi!" Reid yelled, making his way back into the kitchen.

"Never fear, the life of the party is here." Rossi announced walking into the room next to Morgan.

"Uncle Dave!" Jack yelled bursting into the room and throwing himself at Rossi's legs. "My Daddy's coming home today!"

Rossi stopped short as he heard the second part of Jack's sentences. He turned with a worried look to Morgan, and side stepped the question as best he could. "You ready for dinner?"

"Ok! As long as we save desert for Daddy!" Jack said releasing Rossi's legs and bounding into the kitchen.

"He's been saying that all day." Morgan explained when Rossi had given him the questioning eyebrow.

"Let's just try and get through this in one piece." Rossi muttered, making his way over to the kitchen table.

Everyone just sat around the table awkwardly. Jack had chatted nonstop about having his dad back and no one had the heart to tell him the odds of Hotch coming back. He had already been gone to long, the odds of him coming back were not in his favor.

"Jack, your dad isn't coming home." Morgan finally announced.

Those few words stopped Jack short. "W-why would you say that?" Jack stuttered, his eyes instantly wetting. "No!" He suddenly yelled, jumping out of his chair. "You're wrong, he is coming home today!"

Just then the doorbell rang. And before anyone could stop him, Jack was throwing the door open.

"Daddy!" Jack screamed jumping right into his dads arms.

"Hey Buddy." Hotch whispered stepping through the threshold and hugging his son as tightly as he could while crying.

The team just gathered around them in shock before everyone came forward and gave Hotch a big family group hug.

"Are you here to stay?" Rossi finally asked.

"On one condition." Hotch said pulling away from everyone enough to be heard. "We never say goodbye to each other again."

Fin.

Corny I know, but write me if you want a different ending.
