Son of Fire

Chapter 11

Percy's POV

Someone Worth Dieing For

As quick as lightning, I had my sword out of my bag and I was lunging at one of the twins. He evaded me with ease, and swung out of the car, along with its twin. I looked over at the ghostly white figure that Danny has become.

"You need to get out of hear. Don't wait up." I followed the twin's lead and got out of the car. The car left moments after.

The twins were staring at me. "Demigod, come with us without a fuss and you will live." I looked at him and and smirked. "In your mechanical dreams." The automation nodded. "Have it your way." Unfortunately for me, these were not your stupid robots that you see in movies. They transformed from two teenage boys to to full metallic men that towered over me by over a foot and looked like a normal person. Both of there hands were sucked into their bodies, and were replaced by a mace and a chainsaw, respectively.

Damn.

I was going to lose this battle if I fought with my sword. Time for improvising I thought. I roared and a greenish fire erupted in my hands. I shot two massive fire balls in the air, as if it were the Fourth of July. The effect was almost instant. Both automation looked up, giving me the distraction I needed.

With my inhuman speed, I ran straight in between the automation, and to their back side. Before, they knew what was going on I had deactivated the one on the right. The second caught on before I had the chance to deactivate him, and he swung his mace at me. Luckily, my ADHD was keeping me moving. I quickly ducked and stabbed the sword straight into the robots left thigh. It roared and came at me again. This time I wasn't so lucky.

It brought the chainsaw down on me like a hammer. I blocked it with my sword, but I didn't see the the mace until it was too late. It swung underhand, hitting me square in the ribs. I fell backwards and hit my head. Luckily, I didn't lose consciousness, but I black dots were starting blur my vision.

I pretended to be down, keeping my eyelids, only slightly open. The automation came on top of me. It grinned in victory and brought the chainsaw down to finish me. At the last second, I moved right causing the chainsaw to drill straight into the ground.

I kicked the elbow of the machine causing it to completely break off, leaving its arm stuck in the ground. Without one weapon, to balance out the other, it was having difficulty staying up. I got straight up and capitalized by slicing it's head straight off with my sword. The eyes slowly flashed away until it was a dull gray, and the body collapsed mercilessly onto the ground. I looked over at the other one which was still laying stiff on the ground.

Perfect.

I went over to it, and looked at the circuit board. I sighed in relief. This was a simple circuit and could be manipulated easily. I looked at it again and realized that the automation wasn't active until moments ago. I was thoroughly confused. What was controlling it moments before, wasn't what was controlling it on the farm. My face soon morphed from one of confusion to one of pure horror. I popped the head piece open, and sure enough there was a brain.

A human brain. I closed it before I could imagine the torture of the removal of it. I shook my head and got back to trying to manipulate the circuits of the automation. It was an easy job, and I finished within the hour. Okay, any second now... And surely enough, the automation began to buzz and awake. What I did was basically rule over the authority of the robot. It still has all the knowledge it used to have, just now it's able to be controlled by anyone. And I put in the next demigod it sees.

So yeah. It soon awoke.

It looked around until it spotted me and got up. "What purpose do I serve, master." It spoke.

I told it to tell me everything that was going on with them, the robot's assignment, the situation of the demigods. Basically, I asked for everything that I needed to know. And what I found was surprising. The demigods were not killed, but just used as waiters, chefs, and entertainment in the sense of music if they were sons or daughters of Apollo. When they weren't doing this they were released into a part of the base that they couldn't escape from, but they could move around freely. They weren't treated horribly as I thought. He also told me that demigods are not used for sexual entertainment anymore because the humans didn't really want to and they made a unanimous decision to not use them like that a little over six months ago. Once again, mortals surprise me.

The gods situation is only known to the titans, but they can hear their screams in the night, so that's not a good sign.

The robots are sent into each city to find anything they can on the whereabouts of any resistance. Apparently, they get a prize if they capture a demigod or a human that is rebelling. I learned about everything I needed to learn about. With the new-found information, I made a plan. I directed my attention to the automation who was just sitting on the ground peacefully. "You need to get me to one of the neighbouring states of New York as fast as possible". He nodded his head to show that he understood the command.

He then relayed a few plans that we could do. After thinking of them carefully, I told him that we would go the fastest way, which just conveniently was the riskiest way.

Great.

He put me in handcuffs, but loosened the bolts so that I could easily pull out of and he started to call something on the transmitter he kept on his back. Ten minutes later, a huge ass helicopter landed right next to us. Some of the automations got off and and talked to my automation in inaudible whispers. Eventually, they nodded to one another ,and he came back to me and hulled me into the ship.

I was surprised to find around twenty more humans and/or demigods in there, all in the same situation. And to my shock, there stood Silena and Claire, glaring at the ground. Great, I mentally thought. Now I have to deal with twenty something demigods, two of which know me. I looked around and most of them were all looking down with depression written on their faces. There were a few kids that spared glances over at me, but looked back to the ground.

My robot secured me to the wall like the rest, but he left it loose, so that I could easily escape. I took in my surroundings. Luckily for me, I was ten paces to the right of the two girls, which gave me a human shield of the other captors. There were about twenty robots, all standing in front of their prisoner. After a while, voices went off in a metallic voice "We are over Virginia currently, and we will arrive in a while." Okay, this will have to do, I thought. Time to start my plan.

I lightly tapped my automation in the back with my foot. He nodded and started to the big window in the back. "What are you doing?" asked one of the automations. He looked back at him and said, "I thought I saw something..." He continued to the window, after a few seconds, he did his best fake on what a gasp would sound like, but it sounded more as if he was about to throw up. Fortunately, the other automations fell for it and went to the window to see what he was looking at. As the last, automation passed my column, I began. I broke off my cuffs, and my seat belt keeping me to the wall. As silently as possible, I moved down the aisle, all the way to the front. I was so silent, I didn't even earn the attention of the humans, who were all still looking at the ground in despair.

I took out my sword and opened the door to the front. I slipped in like a snake.

The pilot looked back in surprise only to be met with a sword straight through his head. I caught him before he fell, and lightly put him on the ground. I got into the drivers seat and quickly put my plan into action. I put on my seat belt extra tight.

"Sorry buddy" I muttered, before going straight up into the air, as screams arose in the hall. I opened the back door with the big window through the commands, and I heard cheers as my plan was a success, the robots had fallen to their deaths.

I put the helicopter back to normal and landed it on the ground after a while. And before you ask, yes I just successfully drove a helicopter. It's a perk of being a son of Hephaestus. I can drive any piece of technology. It just comes naturally.

Anyways, I opened the back door again, before I got out of the driver's seat. I walked back through the door, only to be stared at by all twenty something people in pure shock. The two most shock were Silena and Claire, who were gaping like fish in disbelief.

I started unlocking the humans' seat belts.

They all had different reactions. Some of them gave me a nod of respect and were gone before I could mutter 'your welcome'. Others just looked at me in shock as if it hadn't settled in that I had actually hijacked a titan ship. They didn't really move from their seats. Others just started wandering around the ship, as if they didn't want to leave. I didn't unlock Silena's or Claire's. Not yet anyways.

When I finished, there was about ten kids just siting in the ship. After I gave some pointed looks, they left, but there were two twin girls that looked around twenty, that refused to leave. "Aren't you going to...you know, leave?" I asked. They looked at each other as if saying 'did he really just ask that?'

"No..." They said in unison. I raised an eyebrow. Seeing my confusion, one of them elaborated. "We're staying. This ship is a one way ticket to freedom from this hell." I sighed. Why couldn't something in my life be simple, I mentally groaned. Whatever, I'll deal with them later. After all, I had the keys to this thing. I unlocked the two girls I had left unlocked.

I went to Silena's seat belt. She had tears in her eyes, that she was trying to hold back. I looked at Claire to see her face as unemotional as a rock. Her face showed indifference. I unlocked Silena's seat belt, as she jumped into my waiting arms for a hug.

I held her close as tears claimed their spot on my shirt. "I-I thought I would never-" She sniffled as more tears came out. "-see you again and I was so worried about-" I shushed her, telling her soothing words. I knew then and there that I would allow her to stay by my side.

I silently unlocked Claire's seat belt. And she did something I would have never accepted. She let a tear escape her eyes. And then she joined the hug and Silena calmed down a bit. Silena broke the hug and looked at me with a determined face. "If you-" I responded before she could finish "You can stay."

Silena's eyes were the sun, shining with so much joy at the prospect of a new friend in her life.

To me, it was a no brainer.

I have been lonely for so long, and seeing her care so much about me brought me more joy than anything has in a while. The last time I've been this happy was when I was with Beck.

I told them that I'd come back, that I saw something in the bushes. They were reluctant to let me leave, but Silena trusted me. I walked a good distance form the helicopter. I looked up at the sky and smile.

"I did it Beck, I have someone to die for." With that, I trekked back to the helicopter, ready for the next chapter in my story. And this time, I won't be alone.

This chapter wasn't very good in my opinion, but now he has companions

I will write an out line, before writing the next chapter, so after the next update, the updates will be weekly I suppose. Or every two weeks or something like that.

Review, flames are allowed. Good, bad, eh
