Chapter 11: Heavenly Findings

Michael

For the next two months, neither the boys nor the girls had anymore supernatural experiences. The brothers managed to keep it a secret that Michael had forced the demons out of Faith and Hope. The girls went on about their usual business, running their bookstore and keeping the house in running shape.

Michael was currently in the back of the bookstore, reading one of the Supernatural books from the fourth season, when a thud, followed by a yelp, came from the front of the store. He was with Faith in a flash, almost as if he'd teleported himself there. Michael actually smiled at the sight before him. Crowley was on the floor, sitting with his legs splayed out and rubbing the back of his head. Faith had a heavy-looking book in her hand which Michael deduced is what she hit Crowley with.

"Bloody hell woman!" Crowley griped, standing up and brushing off his sleeves even though there was nothing on them.

"Take one step closer and I swear to god, I'll kill you," Faith warned. "Or my boyfriend will. You choose."

"Feisty one isn't she?" Crowley looked at Michael with a smirk. Turning back to Faith, he said, "Tell me, Miss Summers, did you know that when you named this stranger of yours Michael, that that was his real name?"

Faith blanched. "What?"

"Have neither of them still told you? Or are you two dingbats still deceiving yourselves?"

"Stay out of our business and mind your own Crowley. I know who you are, I know what you're capable of. But don't think for a second I cannot take you down," Michael growled.

"What's he doing here?" Gabriel demanded.

"When did you get here?" Faith asked in shock, still holding the book in defense.

"Probably teleported. Archangels have that ability you know. You two have special girls here. Psychics. They can guess some crazy things. You've known what Michael and Gabriel have been for a while, haven't you?"

Michael and Gabriel turned their attention to Faith who remained stubbornly silent. She refused to look at either of the brothers. Crowley waited patiently for an answer.

"What does he mean?" Michael inquired. When his girlfriend made no reply, he prodded, "Faith."

She swung at Crowley with the book, knocking him straight in the temple. "You're an ass-butt, I hope you know that," she spat on the demon who lay dazed on the floor. Faith turned to Michael and Gabriel. "Hope and I have been guessing what you two are with almost one hundred percent positivity for some time now, but we didn't want to say anything because we didn't want to scare you guys off. You haven't been all that open to the idea of being archangels. I'm really sorry…"

"I understand… this changes things, doesn't it?" Michael commented.

"Oh, I get it. When you're told by demons and the Winchesters that you're archangels, we're off our rockers. But one word from blondie over here and you believe her? Angels…" Crowley muttered, standing up again. "I didn't come here to make idle conversation. I've come to give you a message."

"From who?" Gabriel questioned warily.

"An old acquaintance by the name of Raphael."

Michael's mind flashed back to a memory.

"The Winchesters are the key to starting the Apocalypse. Sam will be Lucifer's vessel, Dean will be mine. It must be that way. If any of you try to stop the arrangement, may Father help you, for I shall kill you," Michael warned. He couldn't see himself, telling him that he was probably in his divine form.

"They are loose cannons! They can't be trusted! Dean is a stubborn, headstrong fool with an unexplainable notion that he must save his brother from everything. Sam is the same way, except he has an addiction to demon blood. He'll be easier to persuade. Then we must take into account Castiel. He might not be as powerful as us, but he is clever, and has a certain affection for both Winchester boys, although Dean in particular."

"If Castiel gets in my way, I will kill him. If he disobeys me, I will kill him."

"There are a good number of us on the side advocating the apocalypse, but there is also a good number against it. We have three of the four archangels in heaven on our side. One is missing," Raphael remarked.

"Gabriel. Yes. I have not been able to locate him. He has been able to keep himself hidden for quite some time. He prefers the company of humans. At times, I do not blame him for his choice. We angels have become…" Michael trailed off.

"Have become what?" Raphael demanded, looking at his brother, his leader suspiciously.

"Nothing. Ignore me. Keep talking to the Winchesters. Only by wearing them down will they agree to our terms. Now go."

"Where is he?" Michael inquired. "And what does he want?"

"He wishes to speak to you," Crowley remarked. "A matter of business."

"Where is he?" Gabriel repeated Michael's first question.

"Heaven. He told me to tell you that if you need to get there, just imagine needing to be in the place. He'll meet you wherever you land." With that, Crowley flashed out of existence, leaving Michael and Gabriel staring at the spot he'd just been in and Faith still holding the book, ready to attack someone.

"We'll go upstairs and change into something more appropriate for the meeting as I have a feeling Raphael likes to be impeccably dressed. Gabriel, go tell Hope what's going on. I need to speak to Faith for a moment." Gabriel nodded at his brother, closed his eyes for one second, and then disappeared into thin air. He obviously mastered the teleportation quickly.

Faith set the book down on the counter.

"Be careful," she whispered, looking up at Michael. "Please do not make me go to Heaven to kick an archangel's ass for hurting my boyfriend."

Michael let out a small laugh. "May Father help Raphael if he does. I would not want to see the wrath you'd bring down on someone. I'll be fine. I think Raphael just wants to talk."

Faith bit her lip. "Everything's going to change now isn't it?"

He walked up to her and kissed her on the forehead. "Yes, but I will not let anything happen to you, me, or us. I promise. I'll be back for dinner."

"That's what men always say in the movies right before they go off on some dangerous adventure and end up getting injured."

"None of them are archangels though, are they?" He gave her a kiss. "I'll see you in a bit."

He flashed up to his room.

Hope

Faith and Hope had been pacing for the past hour, biting their lips and jumping at the slightest noise. They were nervous having the boys out of the house, for they did not want to be attacked by demons. The girls had weapons, but they were hardly trained in using them.

They had finished cleaning and working four hours ago. It was six in the evening now, and their boyfriends were not to be heard from. Just as Faith made a comment she was about to find her way into Heaven to make sure Raphael wasn't being as ass-butt, Michael and Gabriel appeared in the living room. The girls rushed up to hug their significant other.

"What happened?" Faith demanded, staring at Michael. He seemed pale and anxious.

He took a deep breath. "Lucifer is stirring. Raphael and Uriel are on his side. They have declared war on me and Gabriel… and you two."

I've always hated Raphael, he's always been so mean. I guess that's why I'm making him an ass-butt in my story. Hope you enjoyed! Please review :)
