From last chapter:
"A front for what?" Mochida asked.
"Mafia."
Present:
"The. Mafia." Mochida repeated.
Tsuna nodded with an amused smirk.
"Mafia." Mochida said again, "you're part of the mafia."
"Are you going to freak out?" Tsuna asked.
"I'm trying not to." Mochida said slowly.
"Maybe you should just go home, I'm fine now." Tsuna laughed.
"Okay." Mochida said slightly dazed, walking down the street.
Tsuna smiled, before turning towards his house. He walked into an alley to cut the time before he grabbed his head. 'This isn't good.' He thought, "What do I do?"
He supported his weight against the brick wall of the alley. He put his foot forward; stumbling to the pavement. "Oh my god, are you okay?" A lady asked jogging over to him from the street.
He smelled rusted iron again making him wrinkle his nose, "No, not now."He thought.
"Please run." He whispered.
"What?" She asked.
"RUN!" He yelled.
She stumbled backwards as his head dropped to his chest. "You need help!" She said scrambling back over.
She lifted up his head and leaned it back against the wall, as she pulled out her phone. Suddenly his eyes snapped open; crimson red. "W...what the hell?" She stammered.
She dropped her phone; that had 911 already on the line. "Hello?" Someone asked from the other end of the line.
Tsuna jumped on top of her and ripped at her neck as she screamed. "HELLO!?" The operator yelled again.
As blood leaked onto the pavement from the attack, tears fell from Tsuna's eyes, at his helplessness as his body took over, as his sane mind shut down, as he became less human and more an animal. When his mind finally came back, the kind woman was long gone. He slowly brought his shaking hands up to his face, seeing the blood fall off his fingertips. He screamed in despair into the morning air before taking off at the sound of sirens. "What kind of monster would do this?" A police officer asked below him from where he was curled up on the roof.
"I'm a monster. I'm a monster. I'm a monster." He repeated in his head over and over again.
"Cancel the EMT, we need crime scene down here." The other officer said into his radio.
That was the last thing he heard before he finally decided to go back to the house. When he landed instead of using the shower inside he decided to use the garden hose outside. "Too much blood." He thought. "We leave for Italy tomorrow."
After he was done he quietly went into the house, slipping into the bathroom to change his clothes. Since he had discovered what he had become he hid a pair of blue pajama's in the cabinet. He quickly changed and climbed into his bed, careful not to wake Reborn. He closed his eyes and fell into a deep sleep.
His eyes snapped open as he smelled the familiar smell of Iron in his nostrils. His red eyes shifted from the left to the right, finally spotting black masses in front of him. He quickly pounced, not caring who or what they were. It wasn't until after he had started feasting on their blood that his vision slowly cleared and his hearing was beginning to work. "..en.." He heard.
"Tenth." A voice whispered. "What are you doing?"
Tsuna looked underneath him and stared in horror at Gokudera underneath him gasping for breath and covered in blood. "Gokudera!" Tsuna cried.
Tears crawled down both of their cheeks, and Gokudera's eyes dulled. "What have I done?" Tsuna screamed into the air, "Why have I turned into this?!"
"Dame- Tsuna, what have you done?" Reborn asked behind him.
"I didn't mean to." Tsuna whispered, "It was an accident I didn't know it was him."
"But you would've done it to someone else?" Reborn yelled.
"I can't help it!" Tsuna argued.
"Don't lie to me!" Reborn screamed.
"Leave me alone! Leave me alone." Tsuna screamed attacking him.
"You've become a monster, Tsunayoshi." A voice said.
"I know." He answered standing among bodies of everyone he knew.
"Wake up Dame Tsuna!" Reborn said smashing his hammer down on Tsuna's face.
He felt the weight crushing down on his face, but again for the longest time he didn't feel any pain. He slowly opened his eyes, and sat up on the bed. "Are you ready to leave?" Reborn asked.
"I thought we had a week?" Tsuna said.
"Nono's getting sicker faster than expected, I already got your guardians out of the hospital." Reborn replied.
"Fine, I have to pick someone up before we leave to the airport." Tsuna said, buttoning up his dress shirt.
"Who is it?" Reborn asked.
"Mochida Kensuke." He replied.
"Why are you bringing him?" Reborn asked.
"Because I trust him. Is that a problem?" Tsuna asked.
"Watch your attitude." Reborn snapped.
"Sorry." Tsuna said.
"Hurry up then." Reborn said, "I'll get the rest of your guardians up."
Tsuna nodded and went downstairs to get his shoes on. He noticed as he passed the living room that Yamamoto, Gokudera, and Ryohei were sleeping on the floor in individual futons, still bandaged. He smiled softly before walking out the door and running towards Mochida's house. He softly knocked on the door and waited until an older man answered the door. "Can I help you?" He asked in a soft voice.
"I'm looking for Mochida." He replied with a smile.
"Son! Someone's here to see you." He yelled up the stairs.
"Who is it?' He called back down.
"Hi Mochida!" Tsuna called up the stairs.
"Tsuna?" Mochida asked, "What are you doing here?"
"Change of plans we're leaving today." He replied.
"Today?!" Mochida asked.
Tsuna nodded. "Um, dad you know how I told you I was going to Italy at the end of the week?" He asked slowly.
"You're going to Italy?" He asked.
"Mom, you know how I told you I was going to Italy at the end of the week." He said again switching to his mother who was sitting at the kitchen table.
"Yes." She replied slowly.
"Well actually I leave right now, like right now." He replied.
"WHAT?!" She yelled standing up. "You can't just leave."
"I don't have a choice Tsuna's here to pick me up." Mochida said, "I'll explain later,"
He ran out the door and down the street, with his parents yelling after him. "BYE!" He screamed behind him.
The family limo was parked in front of the house by the time they got back. "Mochida you wait in the car, I'll get everyone else out here." Tsuna said, opening the door.
"I'm back." Tsuna said walking in the front door. "Let's go."
His guardians nodded and walked out to the front yard. "Bye mom, I'll see you when I get back." He gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek. "I love you."
"I love you too, Tsu kun, I'll see you when you get back." She replied and waved as he got into the limo.
Gokudera held the door open for Tsuna to get in first and sit next to nervous Mochida. "It's fine just try not to get anyone agitated." Tsuna whispered into his ear as everyone piled in behind him.
"Um, excuse me Tsuna but why is Mochida here?" Yamamoto asked.
"I need him for something." Tsuna replied simply.
The guardians looked at each other in concern. "Is there something wrong Tenth?" Gokudera asked.
"YES, YOU'VE BEEN ACTING EXTREMELY STRANGE!" Ryohei yelled.
Tsuna covered his ears before giving them an easy smile. "Nothing's wrong, I just really need to talk to Grandpa about this inheritance thing." Tsuna said nervously. "I don't want us to get into anything so dangerous while we're still young."
"That's quite poetic Dame Tsuna." Reborn smirked.
"Why thank you." Tsuna replied with a smile.
Soon they arrived at the airport and boarded onto the private jet. "This is amazing." Mochida whispered.
"Just calm down, I told you not to draw attention to yourself." Tsuna whispered back.
"I know." Mochida hissed.
Tsuna climbed up the stairs first, resting himself comfortably on the couch and crossing his legs. "Dame Tsuna, Nono asked me to make sure you read these before you arrive." Reborn said handing him a large brown envelope.
He took it and ripped open the seal, and took a look at the first page and his face fell. 'What's wrong Tenth?" Gokudera asked.
"Nothing." Tsuna said with a smile as he stood up.
He walked over to his private room and shut the door. He paused before he scowled and threw the envelope on the floor spewing the papers on the floor. It was about the death of Vanizo from the Corvino family. He suddenly saw a picture on the last page of the packet. He slowly bent down and picked it up before slamming it down on the desk. It was a picture taken with a night vision camera, it looked like a human figure but he had glowing eyes and long fangs. "Is that what I'm going to become?" Tsuna asked quietly and he rubbed his hands through his hair.
He picked up the rest of the papers and scanned through them. "Where is this thing?" Tsuna asked. "Is that what got me?"
Soon he was engulfed in all the information about the beast and the demise and how they described Vanizio's death.
There was a sudden knock at the door. "Tsuna, we're landing soon." Yamamoto said through the door.
"It's already been 12 hours?" Tsuna thought.
He grabbed the folder and put the papers back in. He opened the door and bowed to everyone else. "I'm sorry I got completely caught up in work." Tsuna said.
"That's okay Tenth we knew you were busy." Gokudera said with a smile, "and besides you shouldn't be bowing to us, you're our boss."
He smiled softly before he felt the jet wheels touch the ground and come to a stop. "Everyone ready?" He asked.
They nodded and exited the jet to be greeted by two lines of men in suits. "WELCOME HOME TENTH!"
