Tom and I sat in the lobby of the stations, Brody told us to wait there. They handed us some saltines, cause apparently we both didn't look too hot. He was hung over, and I was just petrified. Not particularly paranoid, but just very queasy.

" You okay?" I ask, he looked like he was about to toss a cookie.

" No I don't think so." He shook his head.

" Eat the saltines, they'll help with your nausea," I watched as he stuffed them into his mouth, " Were you at that party last night?" I asked quietly.

" Huh? Oh yeah, we were binge drinking, that's why I'm a little hungover you know? It was worse earlier this morning."

" Was it worth it?" I asked, in all curiousity, but still a bit discusted.

" I got a kick out of it."

" Yeah, looks like you're gonna pay for it, too..."

I overheard them talking in the other room, "Polly, I want the list of all water activities that the city fathers are planning today."

" Oh shit," I say, " They're gonna close the beaches."

" Huh? You think so?"

" Ye-I mean come on...if you can't guarantee safety it makes sense to close the beaches I guess...temporary of course. Until they get that son of a bitch out of there-"

" Bingo," said Brody, " Son you don't look too good, why don't you head home and get some rest, alright?"

Tom nodded and headed out. " See you around, Millie"' he smiled big, and I smiled back.

" You're coming with me, Millie."

" Where are we going now?"

" Hardware Store."

" Hardware Store? What for? What do you need me to go to the Hardware store for?"

" We've gotta make some beach closed signs. You know where the hardware store is, don't you?"

" Yeah?"

" Alright, then, let's get movin."

" Go grab some paint and the paint brushes, I'll take care of the rest." Brody says. We're in the hardware store, and some guys complaining about his summer purchases.

" Here-red white and blue."

" Perfect."

We head out after getting the supplies, and greeted by Hendricks again, " Hey Cheif, Polly sent me to find you to tell you there's a bunch of Boy Scouts out on April Bay doing their mile swim for their merit badges. I couldn't call them in-there's no telephones out there."

He looked at me and then looked at Hendricks, and gestured for him to get out of the jeep. He handed Hendricks his stack of wood and I handed him the paint and brushes, " Work on those signs; Beach is closed, no swimming by the order of Amity PD, Let Polly do the printing."

" ...What's the matter with my printing?" He asked, a bit sullen.

" Let Polly do the printing," he looked at me, " Hop in."
