Chapter Eight: the vampire from the old castle
Couple of days ago; Allen woke up in a infirmary, where he met Lavi and Bookman. he also saw Komui there and find out that Komui was the one that fixed their(His, Lenalee and Jade's) wounds. Komui told Allen that Lenalee was alright but wouldn't wake up for another a day and that Jade was alright as well and was in the next room. Allen and Lavi became fast friends within a day as well as learning from Lavi on how to live as an Exorcist without his pentacle, and is also reminded of the significance of the Exorcist's coat as once told to him by his master.
A few days later; Allen, Lenalee, and Jade recovered from their injures. Before Komui went back to the black order, he assigned a mission to them with Lavi and Bookman to find General Cross Marian that was supposedly seen in Rome. On the way to Rome, everyone was going through the files for the mission and talking about it to get the understanding of it. Jade start talking out loud and reviewing the mission to everyone.
"So supposedly...Master Cross is Rome and we're are being sent over there to find him."
"That's basically the mission, Jade."
"I know that, Allen."
"Didn't seem like it though."
"Just shut up, Allen."
Allen couldn't help but smirk at his sister's pouty face, he just like to tease Jade sometimes. Lavi, Bookman, and Lenalee watched how Allen and Jade acted around each other, they found it interesting.
"I'm going to sleep, wake me up when we get to Rome."
Jade fell asleep and used Allen's lap as a pillow. Allen smiled as Jade fell asleep while stroke her long hair then he notice Lenalee, Lavi, and Bookman staring. Lavi started talking to break the silence in the room.
"You and Jade are really close, huh?"
"We are."
~Scene Switch: at Rome~
The group got to Rome within a few hours and went over to the village where supposedly Cross is at. As they were heading to the village, some how Allen was soon separated from the group as he publicly apologized to Lenalee about the exploding akuma incident. As soon as Allen got close enough to the village, some villagers saw him while looking at his exorcist outfit and believed that he is a priest then kidnapped him to help them with a "vampire" Allen got separated from the group, so Lavi was sent by Bookman, Lenalee, and Jade to look for him despite Lavi's reservations.
He finds Allen tied up by desperate villagers and when he is discovered to be a member of the Black Order as well, Lavi also got tied up. While the villagers told that a man with red hair and a mask(General Cross) told them that they were coming to help them with their problem. He and Allen reluctantly join the villagers in a hunt for a man that is rumored to be a vampire, Arystar Krory.
"Hey Lavi, do think there's a real vampire in theses' forest?"
Allen turned around to looked at Lavi to hear his reply. Allen's facial expression change from curious to dumb-found when he sees Lavi carrying/wearing anti-vampire stuff.
"Lavi, Why do you have those with you?"
"For the vampire of course!"
Allen was about to make a comment on what Lavi just said when someone attacked them and that someone was Arystar Krory. Both of them activated their innocence while dodging his attacks. Allen was dodging Krory's attacks then got bit his anti-akuma arm by Krory, who ran away while screaming that the blood was disgusting. Allen deactivated his innocence while asking Lavi if he was alright.
"Lavi, are you alright?"
"..."
"Lavi..?"
"YOU GOT BITTEN BY THE VAMPIRE AND NOW TURNED INTO ONE!"
"I'm not a vampire, Lavi, and put that stake away."
After whacking Lavi's head, both of them headed towards the castle where Krory lives.
~Scene Switch: Where Lenalee, Bookman, and Jade are waiting ~
Bookman, Lenalee, and Jade were waiting, under a huge tree, for Lavi to come back with Allen which its been a few hours since then. Bookman was meditating on a huge rock while Lenalee and Jade was eating some edible berries that they found in the forest. Lenalee and Jade were talking about their likes and dislikes on some stuff, which Jade found it fun especially since Lenalee was her first female friend ever. Bookman stop his meditation and listen to their conversation when Lenalee asked a certain question to Jade.
"Jade, Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure Lenalee, what is it?"
"How come you and Allen don't look alike?"
"..."
"Sorry, Jade, I didn't mean to offend you."
"It's ok , Lenalee. You didn't offend me at all, I just got a bit surprised that's all. To answer your question... Allen and I are half-siblings, same mother but different fathers."
"Even if you two are half-siblings, I can tell that you two have a strong bond with each other."
Jade was a bit surprise that Lenalee's statement while she couldn't help but smile to it. An two hours later; Jade, Lenalee, and Bookman finally see Lavi coming back with Allen and a new exorcist, Arystar Krory. Jade asked Lavi why it took five hours to find Allen and to bring him back along with Krory. While Allen told everyone that Cross wasn't here at all.
"Well it's a long story, Jade..."
"You can tell us the long story on the train ride back to Black Order."
