A/N: I do not own Inuyasha or any of the characters.

The sun was playing peek-a-boo as the drapes were swaying across the rays slowly. The rays were teasing my eyes as I slept and my brow furrowed with annoyance. I brought the blanket over to shield me. As I was softly going back to sleep, I felt something climb onto my bed.

"Rin," I grumbled. "If that's you, go away. I am sleeping."

I heard a small chuckle. "Eliza-san, you must get up. Breakfast is almost ready and Sesshomaru-sama is waiting."

I sighed. I thought back about last night and wanted to dig myself deep into my bed. Maybe if I just stay quite she will go away and I won't have to deal with him. I just have to stay silent for just a little bit longer. Stay very quiet…

KNOCK KNOCK

I heard my door creak open. Thinking it was Kimiko, the maid, I stayed quiet.

"Rin."

My eyes snapped open. Definitely not Kimiko. That voice was too deep to be Kimiko. I felt Rin move off the bed slowly.

"Eliza-san won't get up, Sesshomaru-sama."

"Go downstairs to the dining room," Sesshomaru stated to the young girl.

I heard the small girl scurry away down the hall. I gripped the blankets on top of me.

"You cannot hide forever," He started. "Especially under something so vulnerable as cotton."

I peeked my head out of the duvet and looked at the topaz eyes glaring at me. However, he had a smirk on his face. "I am indecent."

"You did not care about that last night on the balcony," He brushed off my statement.

I blushed about the mentioning of last night.

"Dress and come downstairs to breakfast," Lord Fluff stated before leaving the room and shutting the door behind him. I groaned as my muscles ached to move.

After Kimiko came in and helped me dress into a beautiful, green kimono with white floral designs. As beautiful as the kimonos are…they are not as comfortable as shorts or leggings. I followed Kimiko to the dining room door and was ushered in to see Lord Sesshomaru and Rin sitting for breakfast.

"Good morning, Eliza-san," Rin beamed up at me.

I smiled at her. Looking at the head of the table, I blushed. He was staring with no emotion again. He is like stone and it irks me.

I sit in my seat and wait for Sesshomaru to eat. Breakfast started off normal with some quietness besides Rin prattling off about something she drew. I was half-listening to Rin and half-listening to the heartbeat in my ears telling me to not have a panic attack.

"Eliza-san?" I heard faintly.

I blinked and looked over at Rin. "What?"

"Sesshomaru-sama asked you a question."

Slowly looking over to him, I realized how he seemed amused slightly.

"I apologize," I started. "What did you ask?"

Sesshomaru cleared his throat. "Would you care to do your studies with Rin today in my study?"

I nodded slowly. "That would be okay, but would we not distract you from your work?"

He glared. "This Sesshomaru doesn't get distracted."

Smirking, I lifted the fork to my mouth.

After breakfast, we all were in Sesshomaru's studying. Rin was quietly writing an essay that I was waiting patiently for. She was doing very well in her writing even for her age. I look up to see Sesshomaru writing on some type of old looking paper. It was difficult to use ink and quill. I sometimes missed the future because of the simple things.

Still looking at him, I realized how amazing his hair was. I remember looking at it last night and how it looked like starlight. How a demon so fearsome as he is looks so handsome. Topaz eyes flickered towards me and I quickly averted my gaze to the young girl writing. I could feel the heat on my face rise.

Rin finally finished and gave me the paper to read and proofread. As I was finishing, Rin spoke. "What makes you happy?"

It was the prompt that I gave her for the essay so it did not seem so out of character. I heard Sesshomaru stop writing what he was working on.

"A lot of things make me happy. I love snow because of how beautiful it can be if it covers the ground. I enjoy watching the stars. Dancing is pretty…" Rin interrupted quickly.

"DANCING?!"

"Rin, quiet."

I glanced over at Sesshomaru who spoke up.

"Sorry, Sesshomaru-sama," Rin apologized.

"Yes, dancing. My guardians would send me many places and each place had different style of dancing. I enjoyed it very much." I smiled thinking about it.

"Did you ever go to a ball?" She asked.

I nodded. "Yes, many of the places I stayed had them."

"Did you ever dance with a prince?" Rin looked at me with stars in her eyes.

"Actually yes," I heard a snap and saw Sesshomaru with two pieces of quill in his hand. He quickly got another one.

"What was it like?" Rin kept looking at me dreamily.

"I think we should talk about this at another time," I kept looking at Sesshomaru.

"Was he cute?"

"Yes, he was very handsome."

"Did he kiss you?"

I blushed at the question.

"I-" I stuttered. My eyes flickered towards Sesshomaru who was now intently listening. "He kissed the back of my hand."

"Why?" It was not Rin who asked the question.

I looked at him. "It's a way of greeting a person."

"Kissing a hand?"

"It could be out of respect or adoration."

"So he loved you?" Sesshomaru asked.

I shook my head. "I don't believe so. I was just a guest."

"So do you humans normally kiss each other so freely?"

"Of course not!" I felt insulted. "He kissed my hand as a greeting! It was actually pretty nice."

"So you loved him?" Rin asked this time.

I shook my head. "No, he was not my type at all. He was very much what I would call a 'playboy'."

"Have you ever been in love?" Rin asked.

Looking at Sesshomaru, I sighed. "No, not love. Love is special. It takes time and the right person. Love is where you find a person to confide in and wish to spend a lifetime with. If your love is strong enough then it will never break. It is also different then love of a family member or friend."

"Like how I love you and Lord Sesshomaru?" Rin asked.

I smiled. "Exactly. I love you too, Rin."

She beamed and looked at Lord Sesshomaru who was silent and stoic. He opened his mouth but I shook my head.

"Rin, we cannot force love on someone. They must come to that feeling themselves."

Rin nodded in understanding. "I love Lord Sesshomaru no matter what."

Sesshomaru did not say anything.

I coughed and stood up. " I think it is lunch time. Let's go to the kitchen to get a bite to eat."

Rin jumped up and ran out the door. I started following when I heard Sesshomaru say something.

"What?"

"Would you be willing to eat dinner with me privately? I have many questions."

"Yes, it's a date," I smiled.

"What's a date?"

"It's better you don't know," I then left to find Rin.
