Me and Teo got to the apartment around 9:30. There was a note from Rachel on the table

Me and the guys had to go to class be back around 4

"Rach and the guys are in class we have the apartment till 4" nodding that he heard me, he sat on the chair and turned the tv on.
"So are you going to tell me what had you so outta whack this morning?"

Sighing I grabbed 2 bottles of water from the fridge and threw one to Teo , I slumped down in the chair and took a long gulp of water, Teo just stared me out
"I had a dream last night about Rachel"
"And?" he didn't get it

" I had a dream about Rachel" emphasizing Rachel's name
"oh"

"yes oh you muppet I almost had a heart attack when she woke me up in the middle of it"

I could see he was fighting back laughing, so I grabbed the cushion from behind me and threw it at him. He couldn't hold his laughter anymore so behind laughs he managed to get out

"So what are you gonna do?"

"I have no idea, hopefully I can ignore it and forget it happened." Teo just laughed harder and turned back to the tv.

I think I've just fried my brain after watching a few hours of day time tv, I found my Xbox that I bought when I was last here. Me and Teo set it up and played a few of the games that I had mainly C.O.D and Halo, I know typical right? but there was a NFL game in there so we varied playing them. That's how the other 3 occupants of the loft found us shouting at the tv as we tried to kill something that was attacking us.
"Having fun Satan?" I just huffed and ignored porcelain as I was almost of out of life but so was the thing we were fighting.

"YES" I think I scared Rachel as she visibly jumped from me throwing my hands up in the air in victory "finally that S.O.B is dead how did it take the two of us that long to kill him?" Teo just shrugged and saved the game, Rach had sat down next to me when she had come in so I greet her and head off in the direction of the kitchen asking everyone if they wanted a drink. Putting the kettle on I turned round to Kurt don't ask me where Blaine went I have no idea.

"Hey Kurt can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Yeah sure whats up?" glancing back at Rachel to make sure she can't hear us and isn't trying to eavesdrop I carry on "Is there anyway you and Blaine can go out tonight? Teo's already meeting some of his army buddies for a drink"
"Why should me and Blaine go out tonight? I was hoping for a night in"

Sighing i answer "Well I'm sure you don't want to be here for a Rachel Berry freak out? I'm going to tell her about the letter tonight" his eyes widened at the statement and his eyes shot in the direction of Rachel who was talking with Teo about some programme that was on TV. I went in my pocket and grabbed some money out "here its my treat as I havent giving you anything yet for letting me stay here" he tried to object but I just turned my to the kettle and started on the drinks. Leaving his and Blaine's on the counter, I took the other 3 cups and placed them on the coffee table and handed them to Rachel and Teo. Sliding in on the end of sofa I tried to get interested in the show that was on. Seeing my confused look Teo decided to help me out "It's called Gotham, it's about the city before Batman, it's just started. I was just explaining it to Rachel." oh right still not into it so I left Teo to it while I searched for local takeaways for me and Rachel tonight, I would have cooked but I got distracted with the Xbox. I got Rachel's attention and motioned to my phone so we didn't interrupt Mr Gotham over there, she pointed to what she wanted and went back to watching the show with T.

Half an hour later after ordering the takeaway Kurt and Blaine came in the living room and told us they were going out for the evening. I send the boys a grateful look, ignoring when Rachel pretty much interrogated the couple before they hightailed it out of their own loft. I think owe them more now. Rachel just huffed and walked back to the sofa and began flicking through the channels. As I clean the cups up Teo comes out of Rachel's room, having changed in there for his night out. I send him a grateful look for going out and he just smiles back at me and hugs Rach before heading out just as the takeaway guy was going to knock at the door. Paying the guy I basically shut the door in his face after his attempts to get his best chat up lines to work.

Rachel comes and helps me dish up and opens a bottle of wine for us.

While we were eating I kept stealing glances at my dinner companion wondering how I can tell her. should I just be blunt and come out with it? Rachel I got a letter about my leave and they're revoking it I have to go back Thursday? no i cant say that Rach I sorry but I got a letter last week from the army about my leave. They want me back, and I have to go back on Thursday.

I'm brought out of my musing by a hand on my arm. looking up at Rachel's face I see concern in those brown eyes.
"You know you can tell me anything San, don't you?"

"Yeah I know Rach its just how to tell you" god this is harder than I thought but I can't not tell her. I put my head in my hands and just collect my thoughts. Her left hand has taken the rights place, which is now moving up and down my back.

"OK here goes do you remember when you text me to ask me to check the post?" getting a nod from her I cut her of from saying anything

" well I got a letter from the Army that day" her whole body stiffened, her hand on my back stopped moving and she just stared at me her eyes begging me not to finish as she's probably just worked out what I'm going to say.

"My leave has been revoked I have to go back"there I've said it and Rachel's body seems to have just shut down on her, she must regain some control back, as she goes to stand up, and moves to look out of the window. I don't stop her, I let her have her space to digest what I've just said

"When?" she says it so quiet that I think I'm hearing things but she turns around when I don't answer her. "When Santana?" her eyes bore holes into my head

"Thursday," her body jolts back in shock. "Thursday as in this coming thursday as 7 days from NOW THURSDAY? THAT THURSDAY!" she get louder as her anger takes over I stand you and pull her to me while she decides to make my chest a punch bag but I don't let her go, I let her take out her emotions on me I rather that then she hold it in, which is a bit hypocritical of me but who cares right now. It takes a few minutes for her to calm down

"Are you ok now?" nodding against my shoulder she wraps her arms around me

"I'm sorry, I know you have to go but I don't want you to go I want you to stay here where you safe."

"I want to stay here with you guys but I have to go you know that right?" I'm pleading with her to understand that I do wanna stay but it's either going back over there for at least 6 months or not reporting back and being thrown into jail for a couple of years. Still holding her in my arms I guide us back to the sofa where she cuddles into my side while I find us something to watch I've no doubt that this topic will coming up again over the next week.

RPOV

Laid on the sofa with my head on San's shoulder, my thoughts are all over the place. I can't believe that she has to go back to that war zone, where she can get hurt or worse. I couldn't handle it if she was to never come back, to hold me when only she can see something or someone has upset me. I love how she makes it her mission to cheer me up when I'm down. I didn't know what my feelings where towards Santana, yes she was a bitch in highschool but she was scared to be herself and hated being something she wasnt so she took it out on other people. I know it's not right and she doesn't use it as an excuse but when I got in to NYADA she was so please for me that she picked me up and twirled me around and kissed my cheek whispering well done into my ear.I knewthen that I'd fallen for her but she's my best friend and I don't want to ruin that. Even if she were to return my feelings I can't tell her about them a week before she's due to go back to that hell hole. So I'll make this week one of the best she's ever had and make her promise to come back to me, to us, me Kurt and Blaine we're a family now. Oh and she better not think that I've forgotten about this morning and her nightmare, she shouted my name before I managed to wake her up, I want to know what upset her.
