Long awaited chapter, only reason I made this was because I saw that people really enjoyed the last one, hopefully I can keep the excitement up with this chapter. :) I love how much you all seem to love this story, when I first started it I was just going to do this as a side story but now I have an idea of what to do with it and I hope you all like where it is going.

It all happened so fast that he had no time to react, just watch in horror as Mulan lit the firework with Mushu while the Hun towered above her on top of his large horse. He lifted his sword, and in one large arc swung it down towards her. The cannon shot outwards at that moment and the fire ball that he had shot out hit the Huns shoulder as he cried out in pain mid swing, it was still able to cut into Mulan. He clutched his shoulder and lifted his sword again for another go at her.

Edd began trudging through the snow to get to her before the Hun could land the killing blow but Shang blocked the oncoming steel of the sword and confronted the bandit king.

Everyone else's eyes were on the cannon as it cut through the sky, the black smoke trailing it like a tail as it moved on course to another section of the mountain that was above them. The explosion sent a ripple through the ground and Edd saw in slow motion as the snow began to cascade on itself and roll down towards them, giant waves of pilled snow blew past some of the men at the back of the Huns line.

"Avalanche, find cover!" Shang screamed the command at his men as he blocked another swipe from the Hun and hobbled off with Mulan to get away.

Edd held his weapon out and pointed it towards the Hun again. "Fira!" Another ball of flames left the tip of his blade, though it was hotter and faster than the one before and hit the underside of the horse's hooves, it neighed in a sense of panic and galloped in a different direction of the people he was trying to protect.

He looked down at his new weapon in both shock and awe. It had a black blade that looked like a long pole, on the back of it was a golden heart that had small golden spikes sticking out on each side and on the front there was a half circle that had three silver spikes sticking out of it. The guard was gold and square, with the hilt being red and two gold metal rods inside the guard, giving his hand extra protection. The keychain, which was held to a bottom spike of the hilt, was attached by silver chains and had a white jawbreaker with a gold star inside. What was greatest about the new weapon was the red miniature jawbreaker that rest atop the poled blade, reminding him of his old wand. He could already feel his magic increasing by holding the blade. Whatever this was, it felt so much more comfortable in his grasp than his wand had before.

While he was gawking, Shang grabbed his shoulder and pointed towards a rock formation. "We need to get there before the snow gets to us!" He only glanced at Edd's new weapon before they both began sprinting towards their only source of hope.

The snow plumed through the air as they kicked and hopped over the thick white powder. The roar of the avalanche behind them only growing louder as they continued to move, Edd searched through his mind to find a spell that would help him in a moment like this. Anything that could be of use to protect the people around him.

He had already failed Mulan once, he didn't want to do it again.

They weren't even halfway there when the snow was upon them, his body was thrown in varies directions as his stomach did loopdeeloops. Somehow, his head popped out of the snow for only a moment to see Mulan and Shang pulling themselves on her horse. He was swept away by another pulse of pushing snow and yelled out to his friends before he fell further down the mountain. He was only able to cast one last spell in his panic.

"Aerora!" He could feel the strong gust of wind encase him in a shell of protection, but it could only hold off most of the snow, some of it slipped through and rushed against him.

While he was caught in his icy trap he saw white powder wave across his face, there were no other sounds but the roar of his decent as he continued to be thrown around and around. This happened for what felt like hours before he finally stopped. Somehow, his torso was sticking out of the snow as he laid on his aching back. He gulped in the cold fresh air as he tried to concentrate past the freezing temperature of both his body and the snow.

Even though he wasn't moving, his mind was in overdrive, he needed to get out of the snow but he knew that he wouldn't be able to move for quite some time. As his vision blurred he looked from side to side to see if anyone was near to save him.

There was no one.

He needed to think quickly.

He could see the small puffs of precipitation leave his mouth in shallow breaths. The Aerora was slowly fading around him. He didn't even know what kind of spell that was but it was significantly more powerful than anything he had done before.

He lifted his hand up and his blade appeared before him. He had no idea what this was but he hoped he would find out after he got out of here.

If he did.

He was losing more feeling in his body and his heart beat slowed, drumming in his head. He had no idea how long he had been laying there in the snow but now was the time to leave, even if It meant going away from this world. He continued to look at his blade longingly, sad that he was leaving without a proper farewell.

He promised he would visit them again and closed his eyes, just as his hand went numb he teleported away to another world.

His vision was fading but he was able to see that he was leaning against a tree in a lush tropical area. Before he totally blacked out he saw something walking towards him, he didn't know what it was but it was singing something. He would have been extremely scared if he didn't pass out right as it started to walk towards him.

"Hakuna matata, it's a happy phrase!"

Ed blocked the oncoming assault, three knives clashed against his gold blade. The Halloween children looked in shock as Ed positioned himself like a batter swinging for a ball and in one fluid motion pushed them all backwards. There was so much force behind his swing that the kids hit the wall in a thud and fell forward in a heap.

Ed blinked to let his eyes adjust after seeing such a bright light, it wasn't the enemies that he focused on first, but his new…sword?

Whatever it was had a long rectangular shaped gold blade. At the top of it was the front, which had three square pegs sticking out that were angling downwards. Ed thought it might have looked like wings with square feathers sticking out. The back of the blade had one singular square peg that just stuck out and was angled upwards. The handle was black and leathery and the guards that surround it were an octagonal shape and silver. There was a small line etched into the side of the blade that ran from the top, all the way to the hilt. The keychain was a grey jawbreaker with a white wing inside of it.

"You summoned a keyblade, Ed!" Jack sounded both excited and surprised as he put his hand on Ed's shoulder and smiled down at him. "That weapon right there can open anything!"

Ed looked from his blade, back to his friend. "Even Eddy's brothers room?!" All of a sudden he had his own reasons to be excited. If he could get in there again it would prove that he was an official brother of Eddy!

Shock, Lock, and Barrel, all rose slowly and looked at what Ed was holding.

"Oh no! It's one of those keyblade brats again!" Lock moaned, pointing at Ed like his siblings hadn't noticed the weapon he was holding.

"Boogie isn't gonna like this." Shock looked from one sibling to the other and shook like she was scared. Ed couldn't tell if she was more afraid of him or this so called Boogie.

Ed held his keyblade to the side of him with both hands and stared them down. "Get out of here you bad kids, go to your big siblings!" When he moved his blade an inch the kids scurried back towards the wall.

"Keyblades are super powerful!" Lock scrambled from one side of the wall to the other in a matter of seconds, blowing past his siblings and outside.

"Ya, organization thirteen can deal with him on their own, I'm out of here!" Shock admitted, he did the same and followed the other kid.

Ed looked at the last child with what he hoped was a warning glance, before she too ran off. He sighed, letting out enough air to noticeable deflate. The blade was more natural to him than his shield had been and he didn't know why. He tested the weight and lifted his arm with it as Jack stayed silent and watched him observe the new weapon. He had been trained to use a sword from Hercules and Phil, it was actually one of the first weapons he learned to use with his shield, so it didn't seem any different.

No one said a word as he waved the blade around a few more times and turned around. There was more suspense in the room than really necessary, something about the way he stood with that newly acquired keyblade scared Jack. It could corrupt him if he let it, let him access dark worlds where no one should go.

With this blade Ed knew he could continue his journey of traveling to other worlds, of escaping the responsibility of having to do anything he didn't want to do. As the thoughts swirled through his head he let the keyblade glimmer in the setting sun. This blade could set him free from everything.

It could break him.

"Santa, did I get on the nice list this year! I tried really hard this time." Ed's signature goofy smile was already on his face as he ran over and tackled Santa in a giant hug that would have been ok if he wasn't tied to a chair.

"O-of course you did E-ed you're an honorary elf!" The man trying to be saved was squirming under the weight of the taller boy.

Jack pulled Ed off before he went and started untying Santa. "I'm sorry Mr. Claus, he's been running around trying to save you all day. Guess he was a little excited."

Once he was free he sent a jolly smile over in Ed's direction. "It's ok, it's the first time I've seen you face to face Ed, I'm a little excited as well." Even as he spoke his belly jiggled slightly, something that Ed did not miss. "Thank you for saving me Ed."

Another large hug, this time Santa was able to stay upright. "Of course I would save you Santa that's what loyal elves do!"

With that both Ed and Santa looked down at Chris, who was staring up at them in what could only be described as wonder.

"We couldn'ta done it without Chris helping us out." Ed kneeled down and nodded towards the blushing elf. "He lead us here so we could save you Mr. Santa."

Santa smiled fondly at him. "Of course, Chris thank you as well for helping me in my time of need."

Chris lit up like a Christmas light and nodded in appreciation of being noticed by the big man himself.

Then, like that Santa hopped backwards and walked over towards the machine, turning it on. Lights flickered on and it hummed to life as it began wrapping presents before them.

"But now we have work to do, we only have one hundred and ten days until Christmas!" He was already in work mode, flicking more switches on and picking up a list from the stand closest to him. He walked over and handed it to Chris, who took it tentatively.

"Chris, could you do me another favor and rally up the other elves so we can get back to saving Christmas?" His voice was soft and held enough confidence in it to spur Chris on.

The elf didn't even say anything as he scurried off towards the exit and off to wherever he was supposed to go.

"What can I do Santa?!" Ed was already eager to help, his hands giddily clapping together as he hopped up and down.

Santa's eyes cast down for a moment before he spoke. "Well Ed, I need for you to keep traveling and helping people like me who need it." He pointed with one of his black gloves at Ed's hands. "With that keyblade you have you could really be of some use to others around you."

Ed looked sadly across at Santa Clause, his dreams of working as an elf being blown away by a few simple words. There is was, responsibility rearing its ugly head to ruin his fun.

Of course Santa noticed and grabbed Ed by the shoulders, lifting them up. "Now don't fret Ed, I know just the place where you can go, there's an old friend of mine." As he spoke his eyes lit up like he was remembering good times. "He goes by the name of Mickey, and he very much would need your help and that keyblade, you obviously got it for a reason, maybe it's so you can find your friends."

Ed looked up at the mention of his companions. "How did you know I was lookin' for them?!"

He waved his hand like it was no big deal and pointed to himself. "Because I'm Santa of course!" And just to add an extra measure of excitement for Ed he continued speaking. "This is a high priority mission that I would only give to the best of elves."

Ed's smile returned and he gave a sloppy salute. "I will do it then Santa!"

"I know you will Ed, go get'em." He handed Ed the directions and coordinates to the world and pat him on the shoulders again.

Before Ed turned to leave he looked over at Jack, who was pretending to pick something off of his hands. He slowly walked behind him and tapped his shoulder so the skeleton would turn around, then he opened his arms for a warm hug.

"Thanks for helping me Jack, you're the best skeleton buddy I could ask for." The words were soft, almost whispered in the shirt of the much taller skeleton man.

"Aw Ed you're gonna make me cry, if I had any tear ducts of course!" He hugged him back and bent over to be eye level with him. "But you got worlds to save and I have people to scare, I know we'll meet again, probably during Halloween!"

Ed nodded. "For sure!"

Another longing hug before he ran off outside and towards his gummy ship, the will of an elf followed him. He was happy that he was able to visit this place, it had been an amazing world he had come across. Even though he was leaving without really wanting to, he willed himself forward and onto the next adventure. Maybe he could even find Ed and Eddy next. Or his sister and Jimmy!

Or they could be doing what he was doing and just traveling from world to world. Or maybe Eddy and Double-D could save the day and you could wander the stars.

The thought broke him from his sprint and he shook his head, he couldn't let himself think that, he needed to go find his friends and his baby sister and save the day. He couldn't let himself get lost in the grand adventure that was his life now.

Or could he…

The thought stayed with him as he piloted the gummi ship past all the other heartless attacks and landed it down in the world that Santa had told him. When he exited his ship he looked around the area a few times, it seemed a lot brighter than the Halloween world he was in before. There were perfectly cut grass sculptures, polished windows, and even swept walkways. If anything this looked like a giant castle.

"I could probably find Mickey here…" Ed spoke softly to himself, looking around the area once more before choosing to go the direction he thought was right.

As he ran forward someone appeared from a portal and turned to look at the boy.

"Something about that foolish boy upsets me, and I have no idea why." The taller woman was speaking down to her obedient minion who stuck closely to her.

"Looks like all the other annoying brats out there if'ya ask me your Maleficentiness."

She quickly turned to speak in his direction without actually looking at him. "But I wasn't asking now was I you bumbling wretch?"

Pete stiffened up by her harsh words and even expression. "N-no you weren't…" He barely mumbled.

She went back to staring at Ed as he opened one of the doors and left to go find Mickey. "But, he could very well fit nicely into my plans." She held her staff up to her and the haunting green glow illuminated her face, on it was a wicked grin. "He's a lost boy, and those kind of boys tend to give their hearts away."

Eddy knelt down and held the blade with his right hand, he expected to look over and see the gleam of his sword, but instead he was holding something completely different than what had ever appeared before.

The blade of the keyblade was shaped like Eddy's two sided sword but longer and thicker at the base, curving inwards to become skinnier in the middle and then widening out to be the same width as the base again. The blade itself was black and there was a straight white line that ran through the middle of it from the tip to the hilt. The end of the back side of the blade curves into a pointed tip and the other side, which was the front of the blade, just below the point formed a hallow half circle with three white spikes sticking out of it. The handle was smooth and white. The guards that protect the handle had what looked like two black angel wings to Eddy. The keychain was a black jawbreaker with a white crown on the inside of it.

He spun it in his hand, he even straightened up to get a good look at it and smiled.

It felt good.

"I don't know what this is, but it swings a lot better than my sword ever did." He tried a couple practice slashes around himself to get used to the lighter and more balanced weight.

"I've heard tales of such weapons, known as keyblades they are." Jack was behind him now, his own sword drawn and watching the heartless movements.

Eddy gave both the keyblade and Jack a skeptical look. "This aint no key I've ever seen."

"That's because it's used to open up hearts and not doors, lad."

Just as he finished the sentence the heartless leapt towards them, burrowing both of its swords down in the sand.

Eddy had already jumped to the side, easily avoiding it and sprinting behind it to cut its legs with more swift strokes than he ever had with his sword. He bounced away as it swung backwards to hit him and he watched as both Will and Jack went for its knees so that it wouldn't focus on him.

Problem was, once it saw his keyblade it went in a rage. It turned both of its curved swords forward and spun around in a quick circle parrying Jack and Will with enough force to knock them backwards and back into the cave, Elizabeth ran over to assist them but just as she left the sand a shield seemed to appear and block them off.

It was just him and the heartless now.

They circled each other like two wolves sizing one another up, Eddy focused on the swords that it kept throwing in the air and catching. He couldn't tell what those yellow lights on its head were looking at but didn't really care, he just wanted to beat it.

He was the first to react, barreling forward and slashing at its midsection multiple times to see if he could find an opening. He wasn't able to as the blades matched his pace perfectly, with two swords it was able to not only parry, but counter most of his advances. Eddy was actually the one being pushed back now as both blades careened down on him and he had just enough time to raise his keyblade and block them. The heartless leaned into his blades and Eddy grit his teeth to hold him back, in a sense he felt like it was taunting him and he could feel rage building up in his chest. He spun to his right and let the blades hit the sand and bounced up to knock it in the head, smiling slightly as it reeled backwards, almost comically flailing.

He could hear the cheers of Will, Elizibeth, and Jack from behind him and let them fuel him as he again went back to rushing the heartless. It seemed more ready this time, easily blocking him and knocking him back with the hilt of its blade. Eddy stumbled backwards and was again taken by surprise when the heartless skipped behind him and chopped down at his back, he was barely able to dodge the attack. Both the blades hit the ground with enough force to bury into the sand and it used that to balance itself and launch its feet forwards to kick Eddy into the barrier.

It hurt, more than anything else so far and Eddy was barely able to turn before another assault from it came. Eddy felt his back scream in pain but he continued to block and evade, even incorporating some of the pirate moves he learned to get a couple hits in when it didn't expect them. The problem was that the heatless was also getting its own beating in as well and Eddy was the one who was suffering more. He got cut more times than he could count from both blades swinging at him. Eddy could feel the darkness build in him, in the same way it had been before when he had sparred with Aladdin. The darkness residue was clouding in his hands and he tried to will it down as another sharp kick connected with his torso and he stuttered backwards.

"Don't give up now Eddy!" He heard Will's panicked voice behind him and he grunted at it to let him know he registered what was said.

This battle was getting him nowhere; he wasn't hitting it with something big enough to do significant damage. The heartless danced around him again, he was too weak to even circle it this time and instead opted to move his head in a wide circle to follow its movements. Again they clashed blades and kept the pace up as they progressively got faster and faster. His senses were tuned, his eyes hands were moving faster than his eyes could and he didn't know how long he could keep it up.

From behind him he heard someone he didn't think he would.

"Don't get beat by the first difficult scallywag you come across! I need my gun lad!" Jack sounded slightly desperate, a tone that didn't seem to fit him at all.

There was only one way he could keep up; he could feel the darkness pulsing through him once again.

He remembered the look Aladdin had given him.

Instead he willed that memory down and let the darkness course along his body. This was new, accepting this power was so much different than anything he had felt before, it increased his speed, increased his power and gave him the strength he needed to push it back. Slowly, the heartless took steps backwards as Eddy continued to let more and more darkness power him and his keyblade, he could feel it try and take his heart but that was the one area he didn't let it touch.

He was able to make enough space between them to sweep a long dark energy cut through the air and knock it off its feet, he then jumped in the air and centered his power in the end of his keyblade like he did before when he had made the crater in Agrabah. Two blades wildly swung and barely missed him as he barreled down on the monster in a dark explosion.

All that was left when the cloud cleared was Eddy standing with his keyblade in hand and a smile on his face. He was stronger, he could control this enough to save his brother and keep his heart intact. With this keyblade's light shining through him he would be able to save himself while saving others.

He could hear something moving through the air and looked up to see his magic carpet careening towards him, tackling his already injured body and knocking him to the floor.

"Where the heck have'ya been?!" He smiled, laughing softly as it waved its cloth in his face.

It moved around and mimed in a way that Eddy actually understood. "You were looking around? We'll don't just up and leave me like that!" He commanded over his shoulder as he reached for the gun and began to walk over to his friends.

The people who had willed him on in his time of need.

He smiled to himself and thought of all the things he would brag about when he heard a portal open up behind him.

His smile vanished immediately.

He turned around to see Saix walking out of it with his usual straight face.

"It's time to go, you're strong enough for your next task." He didn't even look behind him at the shocked faces of his friends.

Eddy stood his ground, clenching his fist where his keyblade used to be. "Heh, fat chance! I aint going anywhere with you unless it gets me closer to finding my brother!"

Saixs expression didn't change but Eddy did notice his eyes seemed more piercing. "We have a traitor amongst us, as of right now he is located in the next world. He knows where Ansem the wise is and that man can lead you straight to your brother."

Eddy didn't buy it, but these were the only people that could help him learn more about his brother's location. Now that he was stronger he could get farther with his search, he had already learned how to power himself up and use darkness to improve his attacks.

He dropped the gun in-between himself and the shield that his friends were still blocked by.

"Eddy where are you going?!" Will hit the shield with his fist, the bright light shimmering when he did so.

He looked up at the hurt expressions that Will and Elizabeth wore, only Jacks face seemed accepting of what was going on.

"Looks like Eddy has to leave us here, good fortune on your journey, mate." Jack gave him a toothy smile, one of the rarest forms of sincerity Eddy had seen from the pirate.

"I'll visit again, I promise." He nodded, turning around and waving at them as he sprinted off towards Saix. Right before he went into the portal he turned around and smirked at them. "Thanks ya pirates!" He hollered, cupping his hands to his mouth so it would carry towards them.

He noticed the sad smiles they showed back and it hurt his heart.

Just as he was about to leave Jack yelled out. "Call the blade, Nights Sanction, think it suits the style."

Eddy nodded and waved at them, his magic carpet flew past him and he backed into the darkness.

While he was in the familiar passageway Saix handed him a black cloak that looked just like his and he kept walking slowly. There were other articles of clothing as well that had interesting designs on them. Lastly, a potion that he quickly drank.

"Before we go, now that you have learned how to control the darkness that resides inside you, you have to learn how to create portals between worlds." Even though his words help instructions, his tone didn't change. "Those pieces of clothing will power up as you defeat more enemies and transform as you do."

Eddy gave him a sideways glance and nodded. "Ya, I don't need'ya picking me up whenever you want anymore." He ignored the last part as he started to get dressed, the clothes he wore didn't really interest him at all and he didn't want to thank Saix for anything.

Saix turned around and stuck his hand out, at first Eddy felt threatened. Until he realized that he wanted him to mirror the pose, which he did. "Just focus the darkness into your palm and expand it out slowly, it'll eventually form a portal and then it will take you to wherever you need to go."

Eddy shrugged and focused. "That's way too easy!"

Four hours later and he had finally picked it up.

He was already sweating and overly tired when he walked through his own portal and looked up to see.

Well, what he only could assume was a werewolf.

"Who are you?" He growled, low and menacingly, hunching over like a cornered animal. It was enough to even give Eddy chills.

Eddy lifted his hand up slowly, trying to make peace, he was still too injured and tired to fight. "Whoa, hold it there, fur-ball!" Eddy couldn't help but laugh a little at the wolf joke, even if it was a bad one. "I'm Eddy, I'm only here to find Ansem…" He waved his hand and motioned to him. "And you are?"

The man snorted a response, still ready to attack. "They call me Beast."

And they find themselves in their next respective roles, I can't wait to wright about how Beast and Eddy interact with one another. I kind of want to focus on that next chapter, this one was just showing the new keyblades, which btw it's soooo hard to explain hope I did it well enough for all ya'lls imaginations. Please review those help out a lot :)
