Joanna let loose a stream of swears so foul, it would have curled her parents' ears as she found herself somewhere that she had no idea where she was.

Zara was some distance away from her, brushing off herself and using similar language.

Both had de-transformed and were trying to make sense of what had just happened.

"What the bloody hell just happened?" Zara asked as she spotted Joanna and walked over to her.

"That bitch Stormy is messing with us is what's happened. I don't even know what the hell she did now. It doesn't make any sense!" Joanna seethed.

"Did anything that Stormy ever did ever make any sense at all?" Zara raised an eyebrow.

"Good point..." Joanna grumbled.

"Where's Eleanor, Gossip and Crazy?" She looked around, not seeing them.

"Eleanor, Neima and Allegra, right?" Zara said.

"Of course. Where the hell are we now? When I get hold of Stormy, I swear I'll reduce her to ashes!" Joanna snarled.

"And I'll use her as a jewelled dartboard myself..." Zara looked none too pleased herself.

"I guess your exchange year was filled with more excitement than you bargained for, huh?" Joanna said.

"Much more than. If mum ever knew that this stuff was going to happen, she would have never allowed me to go to Alfea this year..."

"I had to fight mine tooth and nail to go to Magix as a witch. How was I supposed to help it if I can't sprout wings?!" Joanna exclaimed.

"You were expecting to be a fairy? What about The Choice?" Zara raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, due to who my parents are and all, I wasn't expecting to even have a choice. I thought I was going to be an automatic fairy. It was quite a surprise when I transformed for the first time and there wasn't a pair of wings on my back. Must have been a witch ancestor somewhere up in the family tree. Good thing too, because I always thought I'd be forced to attend Alfea..."

"You never wanted to be a fairy? Why ever not?" Zara wondered.

"I wanted to be different. I absolutely refuse to live in my oh so perfect mother's shadow. Besides, if someone doesn't study dark magic, how would anyone know how to fight it when some big baddie like Stormy comes along?" Joanna said.

"You have a point. Though Stormy and the Trix don't exactly help witch reputations. Plus the fact that your mum and the rest of the Winx Club were always showing up to save the day from them probably didn't help fairy-witch relations..." Zara acknowledged.

"Yeah. Always the fairy good girls saving the day from the witch evil girls. Doesn't help matters..." Joanna grumbled.

"Well I have no such hang ups about witches. It might be because magic is still returning to Earth and we're all still very much a minority there, but most Earthling magicals don't have such views about fairies and witches. My mum's friend's daughter Chloe is a fairy, but she can be really diabolical at times. But Yasmine is a witch and she's pretty nice- most of the time. None of that stuff makes any bloody sense!" Zara exclaimed.

"Yeah well, nothing is making a lot of sense right now. We're not making any progress finding my brother or Juniper, plus we've lost your roommates now too. As much as I hate to leave, it makes no sense to keep on trudging when we have no clue what's going on. We need to go back and tell our Headmistresses what we do know. They'd be better able to do something about Stormy than we would..." Joanna admitted.

"You? Giving up?" Zara raised an eyebrow. "I might not have known you for very long, but I didn't expect that from you of all people..."

"I'm not giving up. I'm just playing smart. Shadowfire or not, I'm not a fully trained witch and I've got nothing on Stormy and her years of experience." Joanna cast a directional spell that gave her a magical map, which pointed out the way back to the cluster of hotels.

"Joanna's playing smart. Who knew. I'm guessing both your parents and the tabloids would be rather shocked at that, wouldn't they?" Zara grinned.

"Yeah well, there's a lot they don't know about me, Zara. Quite a lot, you'll find." Joanna grinned back. "Now let's get back and see what we can do from there..." Joanna led the way away.

"I've tried calling Allegra and I can't reach her, Jaden's tried calling Neima and he can't reach her either..." Adrian paced up and down in the clearing they sat in.

"No sense in me calling Eleanor. She doesn't answer calls from me anyway..." Arthur said, shrugging.

"Wait... Arthur, is that your voice that I hear?" A familiar voice called.

Arthur stood up and looked around.

"Eleanor?" He saw a bunch of leaves and vines shift and clutched his mace tightly, as did the other two young men with their weapons.

"Oh, it is you!" Eleanor stepped out, looking much more frazzled and disarrayed than anyone had ever seen the usually immaculate Solarian princess. "I think this is the only time I've ever been truly glad to see you!"

"Me too! Mom and dad would have had my hide if anything happened to you!" Arthur exclaimed.

"Glad to see that that's the only reason you're concerned for your younger sister's welfare..." Eleanor rolled her eyes. "Anyway, more important things are at hand. Stormy's the one causing all this. She attacked me, Joanna, Allegra, Zara and Neima. That's what caused the blast you probably saw who knows how long ago..."

"I think everyone saw that blast... Are you okay?" Adrian held her steady and guided her towards a rock to sit down on, eliciting a raised eyebrow from Arthur, which he ignored.

"Thanks, Adrian. Anyway, Joanna managed to use her powers to contact Lewis. He says that that he knows that Stormy caused all this too. She directly attacked him and Juniper, who was with him last time Joanna checked..."

"Hm. I thought Lewis had the hots for that Earthling fairy. Zara, or whatever her name is..." Arthur wondered aloud.

"Arthur, now is not the time to talk about who might have the hots for who! Though I think the same thing... Anyway, we need to scatter before she decides to play with us again. I don't even have enough energy to transform again!" Eleanor exclaimed.

"You're right. Sorry. We need to get you back to your hotel. If Stormy attacks again- when Stormy attacks again, rather- you won't be in any shape to defend yourself..." Arthur supported his sister and led the way back to her hotel.

"So... It's Stormy that's the cause of all this? I suspected, but I wasn't sure, even after all this time..." Faragonda, Griffin and Cordatorta were in a conference crystal ball call.

"Yes. Eleanor and Joanna both confirmed it with me, as well as some things that some of my other students saw... It's definitely her, back to causing mayhem and chaos after all these years..." Griffin said.

"Do you think she is still bent on revenge on the Winx Club and wants to get it by attacking their children?" Cordatorta voiced the question, though he already knew the answer.

"I think so, but what worries me is that after all this time, her mind isn't exactly intact, so if she's so bent on revenge, she shouldn't hesitate to kill their children. Not that I wanted her to kill my students, but why hasn't she?" Faragonda asked.

"It was never her style to just get to the point of anything, even years ago before she was imprisoned for what we thought was for good. She always liked to 'play with her prey' so to speak. But now... I wouldn't think she'd have such reservations either..." Griffin wondered.

"Shouldn't we also consider the people who freed her? They must have had a purpose in freeing her in particular. You saw the results of their actions in freeing her. They could have caused quite a lot of damage on their own. Why did they need her? Did they send her here by any chance? And if so, what for?" Cordatorta said.

"It doesn't make sense, I know. But what matters now is keeping our students safe and I still have a number of mine missing. And now we know who caused all of this in the first place, it makes it even more urgent that we get them to safety as quickly as possible..." Faragonda said.

Riven was not a happy camper.

"I should have gone on that trip with them. If I had, I would have been able to help the staff search for the missing students. Then our daughter wouldn't be missing either. I really want to wring Stormy's neck right about now..." He walked up and down the living room of his and Musa's Melodian home, with his wife and father-in-law watching him.

"How would you have known that Jaden and Neima would have been in harm's way by going to Rosabellum?" Hoboe asked.

"It feels like we are jinxed. Jinxed, I tell you. When Musa and I went on our own vacation to the Resort Realm all those years ago when we were in school, Stormy was there attacking people and creating monsters too. Now she's doing it to our children in Rosabellum and what makes it even worse is that they've barred travel to and from the realm so I can't even do anything now!" Riven snapped.

"Calm down, Riven. I'm just as worried as you are, but we can't do anything now!" Musa exclaimed. "Pacing up and down the living room won't help do anything but wear a hole in the floor!"

"Me pacing up and down isn't going to put any damned hole in the floor, Musa. I just want to make sure my children are safe!" Riven slumped into a chair, still fuming.

"I felt the same way all those years ago when the Trix had sealed off Magix in Musa's first year after they stole the Dragon's Flame from Bloom. At least in this case, communications are moving to and from the realm so we can at least know what's going on..." Hoboe said.

"Still..." Riven looked up as Musa's phone rang and she went out of the room to answer it.

"Am I speaking to you as an employee or as a friend?" Musa asked as she saw that the caller was Galatea.

"A bit of both in this case. Seventeen Melodian students from the three schools are still unaccounted for, including your daughter. That isn't counting our Melodian citizens who weren't students but were still there on their own vacations..." Galatea looked worried.

"I'm still worried about Neima. She can transform, but she still has problems with flying and certain other spells... What if she runs into Stormy herself?" Musa started to fret. "She's not yet as strong as I was at that age!"

"If she's anything like you and Riven, she'll come out of it. I'm sure she's a tough cookie..." Galatea reassured her.

"Was it too much to hope that my children would have peaceful school lives unlike the one I had without evil villains attacking them?" Musa sighed.

"Apparently so..." Galatea sighed as well. "I will keep you posted whenever I can. You can work your own contacts and get some more information. If you find out anything particularly critical, let me know. That one's an official order."

"I will, Your Majesty..." Musa nodded.

"Good. Neima will be fine, Musa. I'm sure she's stronger than you think..." Galatea ended the call.

"I sure hope so, Galatea. I sure hope so..." Musa sighed to herself as she returned to the living room and relayed the latest information to her father and husband.

"Juniper's still missing?" Flora sat in the living room with Helia next to her and Benjamin seated across from then, looking concerned.

"She is, I'm afraid. One of my students who was helping to look for her reported no progress in finding her, plus there was some information relayed that Stormy had attacked her directly." Faragonda said.

"Will she be okay?" Helia asked.

"If she's anything like her parents she should be." Faragonda smiled slightly.

Helia simply held Flora tighter.

"Now that we know for sure what's causing all of this, we should be able to fight it better. Stormy won't get away with attacking my students." Faragonda declared.

"Can you please just keep us informed? I'll relay everything you just told me to Princess Krystal and the Guardian Fairy Council. She's been waiting for updates all day, just as I was!" Flora exclaimed.

"I promise I'll pass on more information as I get it, Flora. Your daughter, her friends and the other students will come out of this." Faragonda ended the call.

"Mom, will Juniper really be okay? I know we're always on each other's cases when she's home, but it's not like I want Stormy to really hurt her!" Benjamin exclaimed.

"Juniper's shown strength in adversity before, Benjamin. It might not have been as bad as this, but she can be strong when she needs to be. Now let's go do something while your mother goes to the Council Hall to pass on what she knows..." Flora smiled at Helia gratefully as he led their son away.

"I hate this, Lewis. I tell you, I hate this. Whenever I get into a confrontation with a witch, it always ends badly. Always!" Juniper muttered as she and Lewis walked along in the dusk.

"We're going to have to find somewhere to camp out. It's getting dark and neither of us has the strength to go any further..." Lewis said.

"You're right. I don't have enough strength to fly yet, but maybe..." Juniper focused and let the magic flow around her.

Lewis watched in awe as several bits of rock rose from the ground and came up to form a small cave, just big enough to hold them both.

"You're stronger than you give yourself credit for, you know..." Lewis said as he walked into the cave behind her.

"No I'm not. I'm a year older than my mom was when she got her Enchantix and I don't have mine yet. I don't even have the Charmix power-up and I'm supposed to graduate Alfea this year! I'm going to graduate weaker than mom was!" Juniper exclaimed.

"But your mom- and mine- were exceptions! How many fairies do you know that gained Enchantix while still in their teens?" Lewis asked.

"But everyone expects us to be exceptions just like our parents were! But I'm not. I'm not an exception. I'm pretty ordinary and I always will be! At least you have the power of the Dragon's Flame. You'll never be ordinary. But me? I'm always going to have to live in mom's shadow!"

"Is that what bothers you so much?" Lewis asked, sounding concerned.

"Yeah. What do you care?" Juniper snapped.

"I feel the same way too sometimes. My mother was born Princess of Domino. She might not have been raised as a princess due to the Downfall of Domino, but once everyone found out her true identity, she had a lot to live up to and she still does now, especially since Domino was restored. What can I do for Domino that she hasn't done? I'll do my best to be a great king for them but still..." Lewis shook his head.

"I have an image to maintain. I'm supposed to be one of the popular girls at Alfea. Yet people in my year and even some below are getting more powerful than me, with the Charmix and Enchantix. Mom even went beyond that. And she was always fighting evil witches that were trying to take over the dimension. She helped take down the Trix, yet I couldn't even get a lucky shot with Stormy..." Juniper sighed. "And I'll never forget the witches who ganged up on me in my Freshman year. I barely got out of that fight!"

"But you did. Seriously, Juniper. You've got more strength than you give yourself credit for." Lewis looked her in the eye. "And your problem with witches... My little sister is a witch. She may be a bit on the wilder side, but she's certainly not evil. The same thing goes for Eleanor and you know it. Not all of them are bad. Just like not all fairies are good. You've got to realise that and stop being so afraid of them!"

Juniper smiled at him. "Witches... I admit that some of them unnerve me, but I know they're not all bad. Mom was friends with Mirta before she made the switch... And maybe... I don't have to be just like mom. I can be outstanding in my own way. I don't have to be in her shadow. I can step out of it. I just have to be me and let the façade drop! "

A flash of light surrounded Juniper for a moment and when it simmered down, a silver circle with eight brown points and a smaller silver circle appeared in the middle of her chest.

"Whoa. Did you just... Is that the Charmix?" Lewis asked.

"I... I think that actually might be... It is!" Juniper ran her fingers lightly over it as it disappeared.

"Congratulations then. You're one step closer to being a full-fledged fairy!" Lewis smiled.

"Thanks, Lewis. You really are a sweetheart, you know? Any girl would be lucky to have you." Juniper kissed him on the cheek.

Lewis turned red. "Yeah, um... Thanks." He said awkwardly. "So, now that you've got the Charmix, do you think you have enough energy to fly?" He asked her.

"I think so. Let me try..." Juniper stood up and let the magic engulf her and when she emerged, she was in her fairy form once again with the Charmix pin on her chest and a silver with a brown circle in the middle of four brown spokes forming around her waist to complete the Charmix power up.

"Well then, I guess we should get going. Feel free to light the way!" Juniper gestured to the mouth of the cave.

Lewis chuckled as he engulfed himself in flames a la Human Torch and flew out with Juniper keeping as close behind him as she could.

"Hello there, Neima."

Neima's blood went cold as she recognized the voice speaking to her.

"Oh crap... Stormy!" She exclaimed as she saw the Storm witch pace up and down in front of her.

She looked behind her- and immediately felt ill as she saw the height from which the cliff protruded above some large, sharp looking rocks.

"That's right. Stormy. I've trust you've heard all the stories about me, huh?" Stormy chuckled.

"Oh yeah I have. You're crazy!" Neima backed away, but felt herself coming closer to the edge of the cliff, which as soon as she looked over it, she immediately felt herself turning green.

"What's the matter, little girl? Why aren't you flying away? Are you too afraid?" Stormy giggled as she sent lightning bolt after lightning bolt at the terrified young fairy, who barely managed to dodge each one.

"Your mother put up a better fight than this! Come on! You need to make this more fun!" Stormy shrieked as she flew around the young fairy and fired another lightning bolt, which caught Neima in the leg, making her scream out in pain.

"If only I could fly!" She thought, grimacing.

"I wonder what mommy will say when her precious little girl comes home all bloody, broken and as close to death without actually being dead..." Stormy's eyes went all white as a dark aura engulfed her as she circled around the grounded fairy.

And was promptly blasted in the back and straight into the collection of boulders and vines on the mountain itself.

"Yes! Allegra: 1, Stormy: 0!" She cheered as she flew over to her roommate.

"Neima, what happened? Are you okay?"Allegra asked as she helped her friend up.

"No, I'm not okay, Allegra! Stormy electrocuted my-AAH! My leg!" Neima flopped back down to the ground on top of her injured leg, clutching it in pain.

"Come on! We need to get out of here before Stormy comes back!" Allegra exclaimed, grabbing her friend and flying off with her, landing some way away.

"Where do you two wimps think you're going?" Stormy flew down over the side of the cliff and was about to blast both girls when her blast was deflected right back at her by the swish of a sword.

"Stay away from my sister!" Jaden snarled, clutching his sword tightly.

"And mine!" Adrian ran up beside him.

"Oh look! The other Winx babies have come out to play. Isn't that cute. They think that they can beat me!" Stormy fired off an energy blast, but Adrian countered it with a blast from his own energy guns.

"Adrian! Jaden! How did you know where to find us?" Allegra asked.

"We sensed your magical signature in this area. We couldn't pick up on it before because of Stormy messing with all the magic in this area of Rosabellum, but something changed!" Adrian answered.

"Come on! We need to get you out of here!" Jaden swiped his sword and deflected another blast from Stormy.

"We'll need a distraction! Allegra! Can you-" Adrian was cut off by his little sister.

"Consider it done! SENSORY OVERLOAD!" Allegra fired off energy with both hands, which engulfed the storm witch, who suddenly clutched her head and screamed in pain.

"We won't have long before she manages to shake that off! Let's go!" The auburn haired fairy grabbed Neima under one shoulder while Jaden held the other.

Casting a spell that caused all of them to levitate, Allegra got them all out of there as quickly as she could.

"Stormy's back up to her old tricks, attacking our children! We've got to do something, Brandon! I can't just sit here and eat lunch!" Stella exclaimed, fidgeting in her seat at the dining table.

"Stella, things will be okay! Griffin and Cordatorta are there and Faragonda's there too. They'll get Stormy and bring an end to this soon!" Brandon reassured her.

"I don't know, Brandon. It's been a while since we last heard anything from them..." Aisha said, sitting next to her husband Alexandre, an olive-skinned man with black hair and hazel eyes.

"I mean, last I heard, our Nori almost got caught up in a tornado! It's a lucky thing that Simone was there to save her! Never have I been so glad that I started providing scholarships for Solarian Fairies wanting to go to Alfea. And she got her Enchantix in the process too so she was totally worth it at least..." Stella sighed.

"I'm sure that your children will be okay there, Stella. If they're anything like their parents, they'll pull through that and maybe even land a few blows on Stormy in the process..." Alexandre said.

"Thanks, but I still can't help but feel worried!" Stella exclaimed.

Just then, Aisha's phone rang and she left the room to answer it, moving slower than she normally would, slowed by her growing belly.

"Yes?" Aisha listened closely as a Captain in Andros' Royal navy briefed her on the current situation in Rosabellum.

"That's absolutely wonderful news! Princess Stella will be happy to hear it!" Aisha was almost beaming from ear to ear.

"Very well, Your Majesty. I will keep you informed." The Captain ended the call.

"Stella! Stella! Guess what? They semi-opened Rosabellum! People can go in, but no one there can leave! You can send your people to hunt Stormy down!" Aisha exclaimed.

"That's wonderful news, but I'm not sending anyone. I'm going to hunt her down for myself! Imagine, sucking up my daughter into a cursed tornado... I'll get her for that!" Stella said, getting up suddenly.

"Stella, are you sure it's a wise idea? We don't know how much Stormy has changed in what she can do magic wise all these years!" Brandon got up to chase after his wife.

"I guess I'll find out then!" Stella transformed into Believix mode, summoned her Zoomix wings and grabbed Brandon just before she teleported out, taking him with her.

Aisha and Alexandre looked at one another oddly.

"Was she always like this, even when you were at Alfea?" He asked.

"Always, Alex. Always..."

Just then, King Radius strode through the doors and not seeing his daughter or his son-in-law there face-palmed.

"Stella got the news about the Rosabellum and just took off, didn't she?" He asked.

Aisha nodded.

"I should have known she'd be one of the first ones off. I just hope she can get in some real damage on Stormy..." Radius sighed as he took a seat and allowed the servants to serve him lunch as well.

Just a side note: In this story, Charmix is meant in the original Rai English sense.
