As usual thanks for all your wonderful comments, you are the most amazing readers ever! :)
"Hey." I approach Claudia, and Brianna from behind, and they both whiz around on Claudia's perfectly made bed to face me.
"Decided to actually hang out with some initiates have you?" Brianna's voice is as icy as her face.
My face burns with acknowledgement and I open my mouth to reply before I am silenced by Claudia.
"Oh be quiet Brianna, she hasn't seen her brother in years I think that's more important than whatever semi-permanent friendship we've got here." She huffs daring Brianna to reply with a glare.
A huge grin breaks out over my face, "Thanks Claud I will hang out with you more I promise, especially now Stage 1's almost over. Who do you thinks going?" I fall easily into Claudia's vacant chatter.
Brianna must have left at some point because when dinner time arrives, we are the only two sat in the dormitory.
"We'd better go to dinner then." I rise from the squeaky bed, which springs up at the loss of my weight.
When we receive our food, the only familiar face is Tobias sitting alone in the fair corner staring at a plate of sausage and mash.
"Come on, I'll introduce you properly." I say gesturing over to Claudia who is hovering uncertainly behind me.
"Come on." I say again when she makes no move to follow me, and march off to sit beside him, Claudia just behind.
"You know you're supposed to eat that." I drawl sarcastically, plopping myself down beside my brother.
He rolls his eyes and turns to face me, "you know you're supposed to have friends your own age."
"I do." I reply just as Claudia sits on the bench opposite the two of us.
"One." He laughs dumping a forkful of mash inside my glass of water.
I retaliate by sticking half a sausage into his small slice of vanilla cake.
"I didn't realise my food was in danger sitting here!" Claudia laughs pushing her tray further down the table.
And for the first time since I've arrived I feel like I could be happy in Dauntless.

My nights sleep however wasn't as peaceful.
"Everyone up, let's go. Train tracks in 5! If you're not there consider yourself factionless!" Tris' strangely powerful voice echoes through the dormitory at 2:00 am.
I sit up bleary eyed to find a room full of people doing the same.
"Go!"
4 minutes later I am jogging out of Dauntless Headquarters towards the train tracks with Claudia on one side, and an unrecognisable Dauntless born on the other.
The nights air is surprisingly warm, and I find myself wishing I hadn't bothered with my black mesh coat.
Just in front of us there are two figures standing impatiently by the railway. One dwarfed into nothing by the other.
Tris and Four.
"Come on initiates let's go!" Four calls impatiently gesturing to a spot if white light in the distance. A spot of white light that seemed to be rapidly approaching. Much faster than any train I've ever jumped on before.
"The train!" I hiss to Claudia as we swerve closer to the tracks.
"So jump on?" Claudia laughs rolling her eyes, as if it's obvious. Although I guess it is.
As the train approaches I can see nothing but the open door of the third carriage. My feet run on autopilot hitting the hard ground with loud thumps each time. My breathing becomes heavier and heavier and suddenly thats all I can hear. I have to get on this train.
Then I swing myself to the side making contact with the train, pain rushes through my body as I cling desperately onto the slippery metal handle, slowly heaving myself in.
Tris, Four, Claudia and I are the only ones on the train so far. But slowly the numbers increase as more people slam into, and then pull themselves up into the train.
When everybody, transfer and Dauntless born alike are rammed into the train carriage Four speaks up. "Initiates listen up! We'll e dividing into two teams to play capture the flag. The teams will be an equal mix of Dauntless Borns and Transfers. It's a Dauntless tradition so I suggest you take it seriously."
"We'll divide up the Transfers first, go and stand by the Instructor who calls your name." Tris adds. "You first." She smirks gesturing to Four.
I watch as my brother studies the group of initiates his eyes sweeping us up and down individually. "Claudia."
Claudia's expression is one of complete shock as she makes her way over to stand by my brother.
"Jonathan."
"Jane." A smirk reaches over my face as I stand by Claudia and Four.
"Brianna." Thank god I'm not on her team.
"Scott." Tobias chooses the first Dauntless born, who receives multiple high-fives and fist bumps as he makes his way over. He is tall and muscular with angular cheekbones, and eyes like the coffee, I often see people drinking here. He's so attractive it's distracting. So distracting in fact that I miss the rest of the allocation and by the time I tear my eyes away from his face the train is slowing.
"Everyone off!" Tris calls leaping from the train carriage. I watch the rest of the initiates follow until I am at the front of the train carriage. I leap so high for a moment it feels like I'm flying, falling through the air with nothing to stop me.
Then just as quickly it's over and I plummet down hitting the floor hard. Pain jolts through my right side as I pull myself up slowly.
"Every-one grab a gun let's go!" Four calls gesturing to a long duffel bag full of guns. Guns which are loaded with balls of bright green.
"What are they?" An ex- Erudite calls from where she is stood by Brianna. Rachel, I think her name was.
"Paintball guns, dumbass." A deep voice calls. A voice that belongs to a very grumpy looking Dauntless born.
"Thanks Cody eloquent as always." A sarcastic voice sounds from behind me.
I whizz round to see two older looking Dauntless members; a male and a female.
The male is tall, with dark eyes and hair, and a smile so white it stands out on his brown face. He's attractive thats for sure.
His female companion is much of the same. Tall and thin with long brown hair that frames her face in a way mine never will.
"Ah Uriah, Marlene you've decided to join us. How kind of you." Sarcasm drips from my brothers voice like honey.
Tris rolls her eyes, and rushes forward to embrace Marlene a grin plastered on her face. "You're with me, leave the boys to be grumpy." She whispers in her ear, so quietly I can barely hear her.
"Right then, now everyone's here. Let the games begin." Tobias calls.
I am so sorry that it's been so long, I've been on a wifi-less holiday for two weeks. However the next three weeks I have no school or holiday so I should be updating more often.
Thanks for putting up with my story. Please review I really do appreciate it :)
