AN: I have been writing this chapter since the day I posted the last one. I've gone over it over and over and I guess I just have to deal with the way this one turned out. Grrr. A short chapter but at least we're moving forward once more.

There really wasn't much to do in the small town of Forks. So of course that meant that Nick, David, and Kevin were all in Nick's Jeep headed for Port Angeles for the day though it was possible they would change their minds and go to Seattle instead. It was bigger and had more to offer plus it wasn't like they needed to be back anytime soon.

Bella wasn't going to be in town either they'd discovered. She was headed down south towards Vancouver but wouldn't stop there. Her plan had been to head all the way down to Texas. She said she was looking for others like them and as this wasn't the first time they believed it. The mutts should have no reason to cross the Treaty Line but if they did there'd be no one there. At least as far as the Pride was concerned.

The boys weren't focused on that however, they were on a mission to find a game store. Bella wasn't big on video games so she didn't have any consoles or any games to go with one so that's what they were going to do today no matter how far they had to go to get it.

The Cullen ladies had decided to try and unwind by going shopping. They had settled on Port Angeles because it wasn't too far if something happened while they were away and they needed to rush back. Alice had wanted to go somewhere a little more- well more. In the end she had to agree though, being too far away right now was too dangerous.

They had been enjoying their trip, minding their own business, acrueing quite a few bags when they heard some familiar voices. It was the boys from Bella's house, Nick, David, and Kevin. They sounded angry and from what they could hear, which was quite a lot, in some kind of fight.

They decided to see what the trouble was, maybe they could already put their plan into motion.

When they got to the area Kevin had another boy by the throat up against a wall, David was restraining another boy, and Nick was standing in front of two others looking mildly annoyed.

"What's going on here?" Esme asked with a hint of warning.

"Nothing that concerns you b*" one of the boys from in front of Nick said.

"That's no way to talk to a lady." Nick frowned. "Perhaps Kevin is right, you need to be taught some manners."

"I hardly think he should be giving advice on manners." Alice pitched in.

Nick smirked. "Fair enough."

"Can't we just let this go? Everyone walks away." David suggested. He didn't seem to have any trouble whatsoever but he definitely didn't want to be fighting. "This is all just a misunderstanding."

"No way! I haven't cracked this morons skull open yet." Kevin spit out with a slight growl.

The girls could see the situation needed to be de-escalated quickly. It was Rosalie who stepped in this time. "If you let them go we'll buy you lunch."

Kevin smirked. "Lunch? Do you know how much we eat?"

"We can afford it." Esme said confidently.

Kevin sighed. "Fine. Ruin my fun." He roughly dropped the boy in his grasp and the boy gasped for air.

"Why don't you boys run off before we change our minds." Nick said as David moved back away from the boy he had been restraining. The other boys didn't seem so inclined to back down though because one of them rushed forward at Nick. He easily dodged the boy's swing and landed one of his own in the boys stomach causing him to double over. "Last chance. We're willing to walk away. You do the same."

It was clear that the other boys weren't as willing to end the fight because soon they had converged on Nick, David, and Kevin. Soon enough on what seemed to be no effort on their part the boys were all laying sprawled on the ground, Nick, David, and Kevin looking like nothing had just happened.

"I don't suppose we still get lunch do we?" David asked a tad sheepishly.
