I thought it would get confusing calling YMX. Xehanort so he will be refered to as Nazo, because the Kingdom Hearts wiki says *ahem*

Young Xehanort, referred to as the Unknown(謎の男,Nazo no Otoko) and the Mysterious Figure in the North American, PAL, and Final Mix versions of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep.

So yeah...

Enjoy!

History must be recorded and dated, if it is not anybody is doomed to repeat it.

Gods and higher entities love to record the best parts of their history, even if it means clipping out a few important things.

But who cares as long as they are painted in a good light?

Nobody.

Because who would question a gods word?

The Above was just as I imagined, tall buildings made of jasper and pure gold scatter along the streets. The foundations of the profound city were garnished in precious stones.

Twelve massive gates made of the purest pearl protected the city from the impurity awaiting below.

The streets were paved in silver.

Axel walks me to the council villa, it was a lengthy walk away from Eraqus's estate. The villa sat on top of a haggard Cliffside overlooking the streets of The Above.

"I'm leaving you here for a second, don't touch anything!" Axel runs off down the hallway and I'm left on my own.

I explore the area. I was in a spaciously large and wide oval corridor, the high ceiling is painted in foam green and the walls are cracked from negligence. Stairs that seem to never end are the only way fully into the villa.

Over to the far right is a inbuilt waterfall releasing a relaxing sound of crashing waves.

My eye catches on a grim and monotone mural. I reach up and place a steady hand on the artwork. It's a depiction of war.

Bloody and grotesque, A massacre of vengeance. The mural is bathed in harmful and static energy, whoever made it felt immersive pain.

"Ah, do you enjoy my art?" I turn around shocked by the light I am bathed in. The girl is short and thin, she wears no shoes and a white dress.

Her blonde hair is paler than mine and pulled over her shoulder. I back away from the girl until my back is at the wall, she doesn't advance.

"That war was almost 10,000 years ago," The girl speaks with a sweet severity.

She stood tall, with a graceful fall of limbs and shoulders. She eyes me with a frosty calm demeanour, her glacial blue eyes sharp like ice. I look up at the mural then back at her.

"What is your name?" I ask with a shiver of unexpected fear in my voice, tbe girl must notice because she backs away calmly.

"Naminé, I am an Allseer. I had a vision of you in this exact spot many years ago Ventus." I feel a cold running through my veins.

"Did you see the war before it happened as well?"

"Only some of it, the rest was carried out as the tides wanted it to." My eyes carried over to the mural once more.

"How did the war start?"

"Miscommunication. Many years ago we had both light seers and dark seers, the light seers were and still are led by Eraqus father of the light."

Naminé made a gesture with her hands and a holographic image of a man appeared in front of me.

He had dark hair pulled into a ponytail, many scars adorned his tanned features, his eyes were sharp with precision and authority.

This was Eraqus.

"The dark seers were led by the now slumbering Xehanort father to the darkness, a vile and controlling man."

Eraqus disappears, replaced with a smirking Xehanort. He has tan skin just a few shades darker than Eraqus's and golden manipulative eyes that made me question myself.

"A light seer by the name of Yeul, saw the destruction of the mortal realm. At the same time a dark seer told Xehanort that he would have to destroy Eraqus's precious mortal realm to achieve equilibrium."

A fight played out, though I could not hear the screams I felt them. They coiled around my body preventing me from breathing. It was like I already knew what would happen.

"Another light seer by the name of Alice, saw that someone with golden eyes would kill Eraqus and open Kingdom Hearts, the parton of all things good and evil."

A girl with blonde hair and blue dressings ran up to Eraqus (She was running alarmingly fast). He turned in a quiet shock.

"So Eraqus did what his light told him to do… He slaughtered every person with the golden eyes, including every dark seer."

"A massacre," I whisper underneath my breath hoping Naminé did not hear me, but in fact she did.

"Yes, but he did not kill Xehanort…He couldn't risk upsetting balance, so Eraqus put him to sleep and locked Xehanort away, hoping he would never awake again."

An imagine of Eraqus pointing a sword at Xehanort's neck appeared.

Fury and sadness were a mixed emotion that I couldn't shake away from. My hands clenched in anger, but my shoulders slumped in dejection.

"Nami—-" I am interrupted by a shriek. The woman behind me wears a obnoxiously bright pink and purple tasseled outfit that shows a bit too much skin.

Axel waits impatient beside her. She looks me up and down, she looks

as if she was about to pass out at any given moment.

Her gloved hand flies to her gaped mouth and she takes a hefty strike forth. She towers over me in her heeled shoes, also a noticeably hot pink.

"So it is true? Your intern is a human!" The woman has a rounded face with pink pouted lips and short saturated blonde hair.

"Leave him alone Leblanc," Axel commands shooing the prying woman away from me. Axel looks me over and takes my wrist in his hand once more.

"Axel? Where are we going?"

"Well let's say my family is simply dying to meet you." I turn back toward the mural to wave a subtle goodbye to Naminé but she was gone.

"I thought all humans liked sandwiches," Leblanc mutters as she watches me pick at the ham and cheese sandwich she made.

"Leblanc, how many times do I have to say be respectful? Ven do you want something else —"

"It's okay Axel, Thank you for the food Leblanc." The woman giggles and fans herself.

"Aw what sweet human, I see at least someone respects me."

Axel groans and looks toward the windows, eight of them surrounded the dining room arching up to the ceiling.

"Are the others coming?" I ask feeling a qualm of anticipation. Suddenly a familiar floral scent fills the area. I jump up and meet Marluxia eye to eye.

Well, maybe he had to look down a bit.

"Ah! The human is still here? I thought he would have fallen down and died by now, you know how delicate they are."

Marluxia traces my cheeks and I pull away. Axel shields me from the sadist embodiment of life.

"Am I late!?" Reno yells vigorously as he enters the room, his smile contagious as Axel immediately forgets Marluxia and pulls Reno into a hug.

"Re! How you doing?"

"Nothing much Axel, Ya'know dishes out what people deserve. Enough about me though, I see you got yourself a intern." Reno pokes Axel in the ribs laughing alongside him.

"Yeah, Ven is great and sometimes dies what he needs without complaint."

Pride bubbles forward in my stomach and I flush warmth through my cheeks and chest. I shyly kick away at the floor.

Leblanc immediately becomes giddy with excitement. She claps joyfully. Marluxia sits down at the end of the long table defeated.

"Hey where's is—"

"Sorry I'm late. Hades will not be attending this meeting on account of several things in the underworld." I scramble away from the boy at the door, his eyes golden eyes and sliver hair.

He looks strikingly similar to Xehanort.

"You must be Ventus, after all you are the only human in the room."

"Nazo!"

"I told you not to call me that reaper."

"Sorry Xehan."

If Xehanort was in an eternal sleep who was this?

"You will be guided through one test, one decided from all of us. Are you ready? If you fail Axel will be forced to take away his gift ultimately killing you."

These words echo in my mind as I walk down the large hallway to the front steps. This where an angel should be, to escort me to the colosseum.

"Hello Ventus, we meet again."

"You!"

Joshua strides forward and I take several steps back, glaring at the angel. Joshua lowers his hand and sighs.

"I see you are still a bit shaken up over what happened. I mean you no harm, my subordinate will be the one to take you to the coliseum."

"Then what are you doing here?" I question in a skeptical tone, undecided if I should trust the angel.

"I am merely here to see how you are doing." I lower my defenses and nod slowly.

"Okay, who is your subordinate."

"Oh here he is." Joshua raises a hand to his and shouts out a unknown name, he waves the flying figure over.

"NEKU! OVER HERE!"
