Chapter 10:
*Myra's POV*
My eyes open from my long trip to Las Vegas. Hopefully, this time I will officially live here. Once the plane lands, I waited a little bit for everyone to leave.
I place my bag over my shoulder and followed everyone out. My head tries its hardest to stay up and forward, but I got a look on my left ring finger. The ring is no longer there and I am not getting married. Something I always dreamed of. Along with having children.
A taxi arrives at my request when I got the remaining stuff. The sights and sounds of Vegas greets me, trying to cheer me up, but nothing seems to lift my spirits up now. I pay the driver when we arrived to one of the smaller, cheaper hotels off the strip.
The small hotel room only has a queen sized bed and typical furniture for a hotel room.
My hand drops my bag and I slowly sit on the bed before laying on it. No more dreams, happiness, now I need to start my life over again. Darkness surrounds me when I feel the warmth of my guardian angel hugging me for comfort.
*Next Morning*
My eyes open from the most uncomfortable night of my life. Lights are still off with the curtains closed. I am in no mood for the burning sun now.
Today's morning routine is much longer and more depressing. My spiritual guides are trying their hardest to cheer me up, but nothing seem to be working. I just place on black pajamas pants and undershirt, nothing special to match my mood.
I have a bachelor's degree in history and doing nothing about it. Mrs. was supposed to be my title by now, but no. How am I going to go through life now?
Suddenly, my stomach growls. A sigh escapes my lips. It's the least I can do.
I make myself look decent and go out into the Las Vegas whether. Since a car is not in my possession, either walking or public transportation will have to do, but one problem. I don't have the public transportation is here. Look like my guides are going to tell me where to go.
A sandwich place catches my attention. The usual for me gets payed. While I eat my meal, different ideas and suggests run through my head.
Job hunting is number one now, especially since I am living in a hotel. But I have a couple of problems. One, I need to remake my resume and two I am going to explain why I was a paranormal investigator, possibly to a skeptic.
An image appears before my eyes. The hotel that I'm staying at has a computer room which I didn't know at the time. Okay, my resume can be made in there. Hopefully, the interviewing goes well.
By the end of the day, my resume is complete and send out to many places of the Southern part of Nevada.
I'm in bed, wearing the pajamas pants and undershirt still, counting the money I have. It's enough for to be in the hotel for two weeks and some for food. There's surprisingly just enough to get a bike. That makes me nervous. No one really taught me how to ride a bike when I was younger. But I guess this is my best option since I need the exercise and I don't have a car.
