SOMETHING IN COMMON

'I remember the reason I prefer us meeting at my place.' Mihawk had trouble keeping Shanks on her two feet. They were on their way to the her cabin after a night of heavy partying.

'Oh come on, Dracule... I know you love my desk...' Shanks giggled remembering the last time they had defiled her furniture. 'I know I do...' She clung a bit tighter to her husband when she laughed some more.

'Why did you have to get wasted again? The first night I am to be back, too.' They reached the door by now. Mihawk pushed it open and lowered Shanks on the bed despite her struggling.

'Lay down, sleeping beauty, I'll wake you up once you're not drunk anymore...'

'You have got to be the scarriest prince charming there is.' Regardless she lay still now. 'Why do we not have a place together?' Mihawk turned, surprised by the sudden change of tone and topic.

'What would be the point, love? My castle is nice and quiet and you have your ship. We are at different places most of the time anyways.' Mihawk sat down next to her on the bed. Her bed, he thought, tilting his head slightly. Maybe Shanks did have a point after all.

'I want something that is truly... ours...'

Mihawk thougth for a moment what to reply. He faced her to continue their conversation but seeing her peaceful face he smirked realizing she had dozed off. His expression shifted to a subtle smile. There would be changes soon.
