"Ugh my head hurts," Kim tries to touch her head but could not. "What the…" Kim's eyes pop. "Where am I," Kim asks with worry.
"Sleeping beauty finally woke up," Kegan smiles down at Kim. He moves off the couch he was sitting on. "I have to say I like you awoke although I enjoyed when you slept."
Kim steadies her spinning hand. "Who are you?"
"Well to your blabbermouth friend Hayley I am known as Shawn Peterson but to the rest of the world I am known as Kegan Masterson." Kegan walks over to Kim. "You can call me Kegan, princess," Kegan bends down.
Kim narrows her eyes. "I think I will call you loser and for your information Hayley is not my friend." "Now where the hell am I?"
"Not nice princess, you should be more nice to me seeing as I am in charge of this operation right now," Kegan smiles down at Kim. "I am sure we could have a fun time together." Kegan reaches out his hand and rubs Kim's cheek.
Kim moves her head away disgusted.
"Kegan as much fun as that sounds the boss has other plans for sleeping beauty," Mike tells him as he sticks his head into the door. He closes the door. Like Kegan will listen anyway.
"Damn he always gets to have all the fun," Kegan stands up. "Princess doesn't agree with that plan do you?"
Kim rolls her eyes. "You should have ducted taped my mouth closed because I will never agree with you on that."
"A feisty one; I like that," Kegan gives Kim a sleazy smile. "Princess want to know how we found you so easy."
"You said Hayley told you but I doubt even she would be that bold," Kim tells him.
Kegan bends down again and moves Kim's hair out of her face causing Kim to flinch. "Now, now don't be like that." Kegan leans into Kim and smells her hair. "I like a woman that takes care of herself." "I just have to tell you that you are stunning truly a beauty."
"A beauty that is going to get you once I am free of these ropes," Kim sneers at him.
"Like I said a feisty firecracker," Kegan smiles a lecherous grin at Kim. "How about I take off those restraints and we have a little hostage fun."
Kim has a disgusted look on her face. "I would not let you touch me if you were the last man on the planet." Kim whips her head back as Kegan tries to touch her again. "Now tell me what does Hayley have to do with any of this?"
"A woman who gets right to the point," Kegan looks over Kim's body. "I love it." "Now back to Hayley although I would rather discuss something more appealing." Kegan sighs, "If you insist that we talk about that insignificant pathetic excuse for a woman than let's talk about her."
"Well…" Kim urges him on.
Kegan gives Kim a sinister smile. "Let's just say she is tied up for the moment."
"That does not answer my question." Kim rolls her eyes.
"My boss has inside connections with the police department and someone knew you were in police protection but didn't know exactly where you were so he gave us a couple of locations that you might be." Kegan stands back up. "So, he gave me a list of a few locations that you would be at and one of the things I do best is tracking people down." "My bedroom skills is another one of my many talents," Kegan licks his lips.
Kim narrows her eyes. "Just finish telling me how you found me?"
"If you insist princess," Kegan pulls a chair next to Kim. "I began to track you down when I saw the little red puppy walking into the gas station." "Due to my connections and the fact that my buddy Tony shot at you and the long haired freak I knew who he was and who he knew." Kegan smirks at Kim because he can see that he last few words hit a chord. "Red puppy has been seen tagging on to the little FBI agent's arm and I knew she would have a pretty good idea of where he might be especially since I wined and dined that ditzy reporter into giving up who gave her that juicy tidbit of information about you and wonder boy."
"Hayley would never do that she is in love with Tom… Mr. Oliver," Kim replies.
Kegan shakes his head. "I guess love can make you do crazy things since she ratted him out." "I guess she knew she couldn't keep up with a beauty like you and wanted you gone from the picture." Kegan looks into Kim's eyes. "Who could blame her any man would choose you over her in a heartbeat; I know I would." "Back to the story, princess, when I saw her I just asked the right questions and she fell into my trap like putty in my hands." "I just got lucky that you went to the café that day." "I know cops like coffee and eventually he would lead me right to you since the dumb crooked cop did not give me the right directions to the safe house and that pathetic red twit didn't know how she got there I had to take drastic measures to ensure my prize." Kegan smiles at Kim. "On a happy note, I didn't have to kidnap her; the honor went to Tony who blotched watching your house."
In another room inside the dimly lit building, was Hayley tied up and gagged.
"Mm mm mm," Hayley groans as she tries to wiggle free.
"Damn the little red blob is up," Tony rolls his eyes. "I thought the dosage I gave you was enough to knock you out for days."
Hayley's eyes grow huge as she stares at the menacing man. Her head felt like it had been hit by a ton of bricks and her mouth was as dry as a desert.
"Don't get up I will give you another dose," Tony laughs at his joke. "I have got to say you were one of the easiest jobs that I have ever done." "All it took was for that cop to drop you off at the location my friend told him to go and I had the option to have a good cop go but I chose the opportunity to take on a good cop." Tony chuckles sinisterly. "Don't worry big red I didn't kill him like I wanted to I only knocked him out cold." Tony grabs the syringe and smiles an evil grin at Hayley. "This will only hurt for a second big red." "Too bad I cannot watch that beauty in the other wing of the house." Tony advances on Hayley with the syringe.
Hayley shakes her head no. "Mm mm mm," Hayley has a look of pure fear in her eyes.
"See it only hurt for a second," Tony tells Hayley as her head slumped over.
In another part of town, Tommy looks at the board he made and goes over the clues again.
"I just don't understand where she would go," Tommy stares at the make shift police board he made. "Did she see someone who frightened her?" Tommy clutches a pen in his hand.
Maybe she is guilty and had you fooled you idiot. A little voice inside Tommy's head tells him. How else could she have vanished without a trace?
Could Kim have really been a vindictive and conniving vixen like Bonnie and murdered her ex-fiancée and ex- best friend? Was I so blinded by her beauty and charm that I neglected to go with my instinct? Tommy runs a frustrated hand through his hair. Did she wait for the perfect opportunity to sneak away and I fell right into it? How am I going to explain this to the chief? Tommy throws his pen across the room nearly hitting Adam as he entered the cabin.
"Ouch man, watch it," Adam dodges the pen narrowly.
"Sorry," Tommy mutters as he stands up. "What are you doing here?"
Adam looks at his best friend then stares at the board. "What is this?" Adam points at the board.
"Get ready to laugh," Tommy tells him bitterly. "I let Ms. Hart slip through my fingers."
"What are you talking about," Adam questions.
Tommy sighs, "Do you see that black widow here?" "I lost her when I took a call about my brother's case at a café."
"Whoa, whoa start at the beginning man," Adam walks over to the board.
"Okay," Tommy picks up the pen then walks over to the board and Adam. "I decided to let Ms. Hart have some free time outside of the cabin and I took us to the café that is not too far from here." Tommy checks over his timeline.
Adam nods his head. "Can you continue please?"
"We were eating pasties and drinking coffee when my cell phone rang." Tommy tosses the pen onto the table. "Matthew told me he needed to talk to me in private so I told Kim to give me five minutes and I went inside the car and took the car." "He told me about Bonnie trying to cover her tracks again." Tommy shakes his head. "When I returned back into the café, that black widow was gone without a trace."
"Alright," Adam nods his head. "Tommy, you need to come down for starters and secondly Kim is not a black widow she was not even married to the jerk." Adam gestures towards a chair and he waits until Tommy sits down. "Okay, did anything look suspicious inside the café?"
Tommy rolls his eyes. "You are under her spell man."
"Just answer the question," Adam replies.
"Yes, the barista seemed to have vanished as well now that I think about it." Tommy stands up. "He was behind the counter when Kim was ordering more cannoli, so I know he did not take a break and when I was casing the joint he was nowhere to be found."
Adam nods his head. "Maybe just maybe this barista was not really a barista and someone working for the person who murdered the people Kim is being charged with."
"I don't know Adam; I broke the cardinal rule," Tommy shakes his head. "I fell in love with the enemy." "I know if she was just in the witness protection then it wouldn't have been too bad but since she is charged with murder and I slept with her that breaks so many rules."
"You slept with Kim," Adam smiles at Tommy. "My boy," Adam looks at Tommy.
Tommy runs a frustrated hand through his hair. "I shouldn't have slept with her until she was cleared and we both know it." "Go on and rag on me for not being the golden boy anymore but for being an idiot for falling for a vixen."
"Look, I believe that Kim is innocent and I think you need to think about finding her instead of trying to make her out to be the bad guy or else you will feel like a fool when she is found out to have actually been missing." Adam stares at the board again.
"You really believe that," Tommy questions with a little hope.
Adam nods his head yes. "I do Tommy, I really believe it."
"Okay, there should be a security camera in the café to help us identify who the man is," Tommy grabs his keys.
The men drive to the café and arrive to see it deserted.
"Why do I have the feeling we may find a couple of dead bodies or some employees missing," Tommy tells Adam as they begin to walk through the café.
"I agree with you completely on that one," Adam places a hand on his gun.
Tommy opens a door. "Damn, the employee lounge is empty." "Not that I wanted bodies or anything," Tommy adds. He spies blood in a corner. "I guess whomever was supposed to clean up did a poor job of it," Tommy bends down and checks out the blood spatter.
"I guess I should phone in forensics," Adam whips out his phone.
Back inside the building that held Kim and Hayley, Kim was trying to escape.
If I can just free my hands, I am sure I can untie my feet and get Hayley before I get the hell out of here. Where is Hayley? Glancing from the size of this room, she could be anywhere. Kim sighs as she begins to wiggle her hands around trying to loosen the rope. I have a sharp hairclip in my hair and if I can just free one hand than I can beat the hell out of Kegan, Mike, and Tony.
