Chapter 11- The Equation

Soon that phrase of what Penny said was all that ever crossed his mind.

"...You love Amy"

Damn Penny, why do you say things like this? Sheldon thought to himself as he stared at his wipeboard at work.

The same thing had been stuck on Sheldon's wipeboard forever. He knew how to do it, but he couldn't bring himself to finish it.

What would Amy think if she knew that her little plan to help me with my closure issues worked so well I couldn't solve a simple equation? Maybe I'll invite her over for a quick brain teaser and dinner, work on pictionary skills.

Sheldon decided this was a good idea and texted her the invite.

Very later that day, Amy re-read the message she had sent earlier.

'I would love to go over and rehearse our drawing skills, maybe next game night we will beat there buts!'

She laughed once again as she walked out her door, locked it, and got in the car on the way to Sheldon's place.

"Hello Amy! Hopefully you had a safe drive." Sheldon greeted her as he opened the door for her to walk in.

Due to the smell and the pizza box on the table, it must have been Thursday.

"My drive was relatively safe, some guy cut me off and there was an accident around the corner from my apartment." She said as she got a piece of pizza and started eating, making herself at home.

Sheldon nodded but was thinking, How dare they think they can cut my Amy off, if Amy left any sooner, that could have been her in the accident!

Sheldon grabbed a piece of pizza himself and they ate in comfortable silence.

Soon they were both done and Sheldon grabbed their napkins and other trash to throw it away, refilling their glasses of water while he was at it. He started squirming when he saw the water.

"Sheldon, are you okay?" Amy asked in concern as He sarted walking over with the drinks squirming.

"Yes, I'm fine, I was just wondering if you would do me a favor," Sheldon started writing the equation once more "and solve this equation as I void my blatter." He finished writing it and ran to the bathroom, slaming the door behind him.

Amy looked at the equation in front of her, she hadn't seen an easy equation like this in a while.

'Solve for I'

9 X - 7 I 3 ( 3 X - 7 U )

Just as Amy was about to write, she heard a chant from the bathroom.

"Pee for Houston, Pee for Austin. Pee for the state that my heart got lost in." Sheldon chanted as Amy figured out the equation. She stepped back to examine her work.

9X -7I 3(3X -7U)

9X -7I 9X -21U

-9X -9X

-7I -21U

-7I/ -7 -21U / -7

I 3 U

"And shake twice for Texas!" Sheldon finished as Amy realized what the equation meant.

Amy quickly got out her phone quickly, snapped a picture as she heard the tap in the bathroom start to run, and she quickly erased the equation as Sheldon joined her once more.

"So, did you figure it out?" Sheldon asked, looking at Amy.

"Uh, yeah, thanks for the equation." Amy responded awkwardly/

"Yeah." Said Sheldon, compleatly unaware of anything that just happened.

After a long night of rehearsing and getting used to each others drawings and other hints for any such games, Amy grabbed her bag to head out the door as Sheldon followed.

"Goodnight Amy Farrah Fowler, text me when you have arrived home safely."

Amy smiled at his concern and randomly hugged him. Sheldon was stiff for a second, then softened into it.

They stood there hugging for about 10 Mississippis before Penny abruptly opened her door only top freeze when she saw them jump apart.

"Wha-?" She started before Sheldon whispered a quick goodnight and Amy stormed down the stairs.

Penny texted Amy quickly then went back into her apartment, forgetting why she left in the first place.
