I wake up to the sound of birds chirping and I gotta say, it is a comfortable sound waking up to! I thought it was just something people used to say, but you learn something new every day.
I look around the room and smile, remembering where I am. I look to my left to see Phineas holding a remote, flipping through channels on the TV I didn't notice first now. Without even looking at me, he says: "Morning beautiful."
I stretch my legs as I make that weird stretch-sound. "You wasn't even looking at me, how did you know I was awake?" he looks at me with a 'really' face. "Do you think I need eyes to see that you're awake?" I giggle as I hug him.
"Maybe you don't. Anything good on TV?" Phineas shakes his head. "Nope. Just boring stuff. But hey, we don't have to watch TV, we can come up with something! How about a dip in the lake? There's nothing better in the morning!" I hug him tighter. "That sounds good, but later. Right now, I'm tired. Let's just cuddle here." Phineas puts his arms around me.
"That was my second suggestion." He kisses my head and I put my head on his chest, sighing happily. "Hey, about yesterday… I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable or anything… I would never do something to you that you don't want to. I love you and I respect you, Izzy. I'm not doing anything you're not ready for." I lift my head and look at him.
"I can't believe you have the patience for me… I don't really know when I'm gonna be ready…" he takes my hand and looks deeply into my eyes. "I love you, beautiful. It doesn't matter how long it will take for you to get ready, when you are, I'll be there. I would never leave you because I had to wait for you to get ready for something! I'm willing to wait for an eternity if it means to stay with you." He kisses my hand and smiles.
I laugh happily and hug him tight. I nuzzle my face into his neck and whisper: "I'll never find someone else like you, Phineas." He chuckles. "You don't have to." I put my leg around his waist and wrap my arms around his neck, inhaling in his neck. "I love you." He puts his hands around my back and kisses my head. "I love you more, my beautiful angel."
1 hour later
It feels like we've been lying like this for hours now, and I never want to move. Phineas rubs my back with one hand and drags his finger through my hair with his other one. Perfect, with other words.
"You know, the worst part with perfect moments like this is that they can't last forever. Sooner or later we'll have to move and return to reality…" I say with a disappointed tone. "This is reality, Izzy. Perfect moments come and perfect moments go, but perfect moments are also reality, if you chose to believe it."
I giggle. "How come every talk we have turns into a life-lesson?" Phineas shrugs while smiling. "Because there's always something to learn, I guess." I nod. "So true. But how bout' staying like this forever?" Phineas grabs my butt and rolls me onto him so that I'm on his stomach. "And ever." He says.
I wrap my legs around his waist and my face between his head and his right shoulder. "So this is how we're spending the morning? I thought you liked it big." I joke. Phineas kisses my neck. "Oh beautiful, this is the biggest thing that's ever happened to me." And with that, he continues to kiss my neck.
I moan softly into his neck and wrap my legs around him tighter. Phineas rubs my back again and starts playing with my hair, and I can feel myself slowly doze off, until it gets black.
5pm
We spent most of the day lying in the bed, doing nothing except cuddling and watching TV, then around 1pm we decided to get up and have some brunch. After that, we swam in the lake for some hours. Now, we're walking home again, hand in hand.
"I can't imagine a better way to spend the day, I think. A date lasting for like, one day! And one wonderful date, too. Life is good, Phineas. Life is good." I say as we pass the Maple Drive sign.
Phineas nods. "Yep, a wonderful day, with a wonderful girl. Do you want to have some dinner? My mom is making her famous tacos!" he says with so much excitement and that sparkle in his eyes. Wow, he must really love them.
I laugh. "Yeah, that sounds awesome! Let me just change clothes, I can't go in bikini." Phineas shakes his head. "There's no need to, we're not exactly a formal family, you could eat with a Spongebob suit if you liked to! I did that once, actually." He looks at nothing in particular with that flashback-look.
"Phineas, you know I can't see anything, right?" he turns to me. "Yeah, it was just something I replayed in my head, nothing special. Let's go!" We reach his house and he drags me in, shutting the door behind us.
"I'm home! And I'm bringing a guest!" shouts Phineas as he walks into the kitchen. Linda stands by the oven with an apron on and the food's on the table. She let's go of the towel and walks up to Phineas and hugs him.
"Hi sweetie, you've been gone for a long time! How come you never came home last night?" she asks. Phineas shrugs. "I slept in the treehouse by the hidden lake! It's always nice to sleep in the nature!" Linda laughs.
"Yes, of course but tell me next time, ok? I was kinda worried, even though I knew you were okay." Phineas walks up to me and takes my hand. "Izzy's here too! Go ahead, be happy. You should be, cause' she's amazing."
I blush and nudge Phineas. "Stop it, Phineas." Linda laughs and hugs me, and I hug her back. "You guys are so cute! It's so nice to have you here, Isabella! How's your mom doing?" she asks as she lets go.
"She's fine, I think. It's been a while since I talked to her but I'm sure she's having a great time!" Linda smiles. "That's wonderful, would you like to eat with us? We have plenty of food!" I smile gratefully.
"That would be wonderful, thank you!" Linda nods. "Have a seat, dinner's done in one minute!" I thank her again and sit down on a chair, Phineas sitting beside me.
"She really likes you, you know." He says. I smile a toothy smile as I look down. "That's always a plus. And she's just wonderful, you're so lucky to have such a nice mom!" Phineas laughs. "Yeah, she's not always that nice, you know. When she gets mad, she gets mad for real. It's a little bit scary, actually. I see where Candece got her temper from."
I laugh loud. "Yeah, my mom can be like that too. But when she's not, she's the best person on earth, I couldn't be more grateful to have her. She makes an even bigger part of your life when she's the only one there, you know…" I bite my lip and look at Phineas.
He takes my hand and squeezes it. "And she makes a terrific job, I can see, raising the most wonderful person on earth." I blush as Linda comes in with some more food, Ferb and Lawrence coming behind her.
As we start eating, I'm starting to understand what Phineas meant. This tacos are great.
Yep, just an empty chapter filled with fluff and stuff, nothing special. But I guess that's a big part of what this story's about, just their relationship and that, and what I'm dreaming of in reality but what I can't get:D
