QUICKAUTHORSNOTE: Kanpaaaaaiiiiiiiiiii! The action is fiiiiiiiiiiiinally starting! This is my first time doing action… Heh.
King POV
"Heh," My opponent stretched his arms and back, smirking as he flexed. "Finally, I get a fight. Watch me, Tsubaki, I'm gonna be awesome."
I only continue glaring at him. "Whatever." Great, just great. What a predicament. I haven't even been here for a minute, and I just started a fight. This guy is kind of ripped… and I don't know how I'm going to fight him. I'm not a meister, so of course I don't have a weapon- and of any kind, at that.
"Heh," Bluey grins and holds out his right arm. "Tsubaki! Ninja blade mode!" The girl- Tsubaki- disappears in a blue flash, traveling to his hand and taking the form of an oriental blade. I try not to stare in surprise, even though I know that there were more meisters and weapons out there, but it is just reminding me that I can't be with Lysander and Amelia anymore. "What's wrong? Don't have a weapon yourself?"
I grit my teeth. "Does it matter that much?"
"It does if you wanna stand a chance against me! But then again, you wouldn't even if you did, because I'm even higher than God!" He raises his weapon and then draws it close to him, taking his stance and staring me down. "And refusing a fight isn't in my rule book!"
He dashes towards me.
I barely register his movements fast enough to step to the side and under the blade of the sword, recognizing Tsubaki's reflection in the shine as if it were a mirror. Black Star turns around immediately. "Ha! You got lucky that time, but this time I won't miss!"
I don't doubt it.
He charges at me again, this time swinging the sword around him in a wide range of motion, making it impossible for me to dodge again. However, I am starting to recognize his movements, at how bold his attacks are, and that if he had to take the defensive, he'd easily evade. In my position, there'd only be one way to win.
Black Star, now only several meters away, steadies his arms, deciding his final move: a simple strike through my body. I space my legs, my upper body in a firm stance, and as Black Star advances, hit the flat of the blade to the side, sweeping my legs under him and hitting the hilt of the blade so it's in my grasp.
Black Star, having jumped over my legs, glares at me. "What the hell!"
I swallow, struggling to keep my arms from going limp as Tsubaki weighs my arms down. True, I took away Black Star's weapon- but that didn't matter since I couldn't even lift it, and he could still easily beat me. My arms and fingers tremble. The sword was just too heavy... I guess it was the whole souls-not-in-sync thing. That, or I'm extremely weak and pathetic.
Black Star runs at me, his arm drawn to punch me. I manage to put up the blade, the flat of it facing him, as his fist hits it- and me- with a large bang. I drop Tsubaki and skid across the concrete into the alley wall, already feeling large bruises forming on my skin. I cough violently, barely hearing Lysander yelling my name over the pounding in my ears.
A blue flash, and Tsubaki is lying on the ground clutching her stomach. Black Star looks at me murderously. "HEY! YOU MADE ME HURT TSUBAKI!" He runs at me again, grabbing the collar of my shirt and throws his arm back for another punch-
"Well, I think we all started off on the wrong foot, here." A purple beam lights the air around us and Black Star and I are thrown away from each other.
Black Star sits up slowly. "Hey, Kid! I didn't ask you to interfere!"
I look up and see a teen about my age, with black hair and white streaks on his left side. He sighs, already in a relaxed position, and flips his guns around. Another purple flash, and two girls appear by his side. "Honestly, I'd think you know better than to attack a person who didn't have a weapon."
That stings. Just what I needed, more reminders that I couldn't be with Lysander and Amelia anymore.
And that I needed to use that ticket soon.
Lysander runs over to me, pulling me to his chest and checking my body worriedly. "God, why are you so reckless!"
I chuckle half-heartedly, it turning into a cough. "So you can do this."
He immediately lets me go.
"I knew something bad was going to happen as soon as King escaped from my vision, but I never imagined anything this bad." Amelia walks up to us, glancing over all of us skeptically, her gaze finally resting on the blond pig-tailed girl. "You seem reliable." Amelia walks over to her and holds out her hand. "I'm Amelia, he's Lysander, and the idiot dying over there is King. Would you be so kind as to tell me what the hell happened here?" She's smiling, but she has the girls hands in a death grip.
"Ehehe... Well, you see..."
I tune them out and look at Lysander. "Psst, Lizzy."
"You shouldn't talk, you just got the crap beaten out of you."
"Shh. Come closer, I need to tell you something."
Curious, Lysander leans over me. "Yes?"
"I did that for you." Reaching a hand to his cheek, I turn him to me and kiss him before he has the chance to escape.
Authors Note: Kay, so I wrote this chapter like a year ago. I'm not rereading it to remember what it says. Hope it's okay!
Oh, and quick update: I'm going to be rewriting the previous chapters, since they, you know, make absolutely no sense. I won't replace replace them... The originals will still be there. Yay..
