BPOV

My eyes locked with a pair of curious golden looked at me, questioning.

I felt something cold on head, which made me frown.

Forgetting about the person whom those golden eyes belonged to, I touched my head, or rather the ice patch which was laying on what appeared to be a giant, and may I add very painful, bump on my head.

I flinched when the pain seared through my head, it gave me goosebumps.

I heard someone snicker, ' are you cold, I could get you another blanket?'

I froze when I realized who had been staring at me with those curious eyes.

Blushing a little I made eye contact with him, with Edward.

I felt a little embarrassed since I had been dreaming about him, and knowing me I would've talked in my sleep.

'Are you?', Edward said.

'What?'

His mouth turned into a half crooked smile and my heart stuttered while blood rushed to my face and my breath stocked in my chest.

Come on Bella, keep it together, you've never acted like this before in-front of a boy.

'I asked if you were cold.' He stated.

I appreciated him talking with such a low voice, my dad would've been whispering but he pulled it off like it was normal for him.

I shook my head, not being able to get a decent word out of my mouth anyway.

Thinking about my dream I frowned, I wondered why I had dreamt about him.

I mean, dreaming about him wasn't that strange but dreaming about Edward with green eyes seemed a little weird for me, but hey, I am the weird one after all.

'Why are you frowning, are you in pain? I could get you a pain killer or-'

'Edward, I'm fine.' I answered him a little louder, which made my head ache just a little bit.

'I'm sorry.' He muttered, not being able to hold my laughter, my body started to shake and after a second I was making an ugly wheezing sound while clutching my sides.

Edward had laid his head on the side of the bed and his chuckle made my stomach feel tingly.

I wondered where everything had changed so quickly, I remembered being annoyed and a little angry at all of them, because of the hiding in the library and the nodding and the other weird things I still couldn't place.

I found them all really intimidating and attractive, especially Edward, but that made me just one in a million, because the other girl population on earth would probably think the same way as I did.

I didn't realize I was sunken deep in my mind until I heard a soft knock on the door and it wasn't until that moment I had noticed Edward had been starring at me intensely, his eyebrows were frowned as he was trying to read my mind, his lips were separated by only a faction of an inch.

He looked like he was trying to solve the most difficult puzzle he had ever seen, but it couldn't be, plain, boring Bella.

He was probably just lost in thought, staring at me randomly.

Staring at Edward I'd forgotten about the knock I had heard on the door only a few seconds ago.

That same moment two cold hands touched the bump on my had as I jumped a little out of surprise.

Edward seemed to break free from his trance and looked at me with concerned eyes.

Why would he be concerned about me?

My question faded quickly when another shot of pain rushed through my head, as the pair of cold hands touched my head again, I heard a soft apologize but the hands didn't stop.

No matter how hard I tried to forget about the pain, it seemed to demand my attention, it kept knocking against my skull and going down my body.

Leaving a trail of aching pain.

'Seems like you hit your head pretty hard Isabella.'

'It's Bella,' Edward and I said at the same time, his delicious crooked smile appeared on his face again as he dropped his gaze and my cheeks reddened.

I turned my head a little and I heard another person chuckling.

I suddenly realized I didn't even knew who had been touching my head.

Looking up I saw another pair of golden eyes, which belonged to a handsome man, Edward's adoptive father I supposed.

The fact that even though he was adopted, he looked a lot like his father didn't escape my mind as I frowned, there was something really different about them, I just couldn't place it.

'You have a mild concussion, I'll write you a doctor's note to stay out of school for the rest of the week. You need plenty of rest.'

He murmured as he handed me the note.

'Thank you doctor-', I hadn't asked his name and suddenly I felt really impolite.

He smiled, ' You can call me Carlisle.'

By that he left the room as I heard him murmur, 'Stop staring,'.

His voice had been quieter then anyone's voice I had ever heard, I almost had to try to listen, instead of blocking it out.

'I'm not sure I understand,' I tried to say as confident as possible but of course, knowing myself, failing.

Both Carlisle and Edward froze, not the kind of freezing I did, they literally didn't move, not even a fraction.

Their eyes were huge and I would swear on my own life that they stopped breathing.

'I wasn't staring,' I murmured, probably at the same tone as Carlisle had done only a few seconds ago.

I suddenly noticed that the house was quiet aswell, I could hear cars passing on the road nearby.

I knew there were people in the house, since I heard someone watching football and others randomly chat a few minutes ago.

'You-', Edward murmured, he seemed not to be able to continue his sentence as he looked at me like I had just grew a second head.

'You actually heard that?' He tried again, astonished.

Why in the world would he be astonished, just because I heard something his father had said, it wasn't that big of deal to me.

'Of course I did, what's so weird about that?'

All of a sudden it seemed like the little freezing act hadn't happened at all.

Carlisle just walked out without further ado, I could hear the television downstairs again and I heard urgent talking.

Edward's gaze however didn't change a bit, still looking at me with that astonished/ amazed look.

Like someone just had poked him he shook his head and forced a smile on his face,

' of course there's nothing weird about that, sorry.'

His voice clearly sounded like he was lying but I was too tired to argue with him, he was one strange guy, but how boring would life be without a little strangeness.

I heard small and fast footsteps coming closer towards the room I was situated.

My eyes snapped from Edward to the door as I felt his gaze bore into me, I tried to ignore it but yet I blushed, again.

Two fast knocks filled the room, not even waiting for an answer as a little pixie entered the room with a wide smile on her face.

She looked beaming, like she could throw up rainbows and glitter any second now.

'You're dad's here to pick you up Bella.'

Her voice was fast and quiet, even though she seemed energetic.

It seemed quite unnatural for her, and I didn't even know her, all I knew was that her name was Alice.

I nodded and rushed to my feet immediately, which wasn't a good idea.

I got dizzy and my head started throbbing like hell.

I felt myself falling forwards.

Two cold, but strong hands caught me and I blushed, again.

Edward's one hand held me tight around my waist while the other held my upper arm in a tight grip.

I could feel a bruise forming, but I couldn't care less.

I felt his breath on my lips as his gaze dropped from my eyes to my, now open and gasping for air, mouth.

He looked like he was fighting the urge to or kiss me, or eat me alive, which were the absolute opposites.

I didn't really care at the moment, due the fact that he had catched me while falling, he had pressed me against his chest and I couldn't feel better.

His chest felt cold and hard, but perfectly shaped aswell.

He smelled, mouth watering, I felt like a freak just thinking about him this way.

He snapped out of it and released me quickly, mumbling a quick apology as he fled the room.

Only a second later I heard a door close, a floor a higher than the one I was at the moment.

I frowned and Alice smiled uncomfortably, she took my hand and lead my downstairs.

My chin dropped at the sight of the living room, everything was made of glass, it looked like there was almost no wall, apart from the inside of the house.

I could see my dad's cruiser and him leaning against the hood.

I sighed, not wanting to go home, my head started to throb again as I touched my had a groaned.

I heard the big one, I think he's called Emmett chuckle.

I looked up to see him grinning from ear to ear, he winked at me, which kind of scared me.

The blonde one rolled her eyes and hit Emmett at the back of his head.

'Babe!', Emmett yelled.

I grabbed my head and winced, a flash of pain ran though my head again, it seemed like the noise of his scream was again stuck in my head.

Bouncing against the inside of my skull, with every time it hit my head, it grew louder.

I didn't realize I was gritting my teeth, until I felt, yet another flash of pain running through my jaw.

'Emmett!' The blond one hissed, hitting his head again, but this time he just looked down and murmured a quick sorry.

Looking like someone had stole his teddy bear, which made me giggle.

He looked and gave me another ear to ear grin and winked again, this time it didn't scare me though.

Everyone was gathered in the living room, everyone except Edward.

As I left the house, Alice pulled me into a hug and whispered, 'I'll see you next week at school!'

I smiled at her, genuine being happy that I might actually have a real friend.

As I got into the car Charlie started the engine and pinched his nose.

'Do I even want to know what happened Bells?'

'Probably not,' I muttered.

'Just be more careful please.'

I nodded and turned my head, ending the conversation while staring at the green trees surrounding us.
