Chapter 11 He Was Right (Steve POV)

A million thoughts raced through my head as Philip gave his schpeel about me. As I listened, it opened up my eyes. I knew that I was more of an impulsive person that everyone else, I didn't realize all of the harm that I was causing among the world. When I saw Papart start to bull charge, I knew I had to stop him. It wasn't Philip that we had to stop; it was me. So, I grabbed his shoulder and said, "Wait. Don't do it."

By all means, I meant what I said to Papart. After all, one's judgement was always to be questioned. I always saw the world in black and white, good and bad. I think that it was about time that I peeked into the gray. Papart looked at me like I was an idiot, but I held my grip strong at the expected struggle that soon followed.

"What are you doing Steve?" Papart grunted at me through gritted teeth. "Let me finish the job."

"No, you can't," I replied in a solemn tone, holding my grip strong. "This isn't the job you should be doing."

I heard a sigh from behind me, and flicked my head back to see Tom shaking his head in disgust at me. But they didn't know a thing.

"I'm happy that you have seen the light, Steve," Philip smiled and clapped his hands together as he approached me. I smiled in return.

"I have definitely seen it," I replied with a grin on my face. Papart winced at my remark. I kneed him in the butt and continued my conversation with Philip.

"I have an arrangement, Philip," I started. "Now that I have seen what you have been trying to tell me for so long has finally entered my mind. I ask for your forgiveness for all the wrong that I have done."

"I agree to this deal," Philip nodded. "But as for the other five..."

"They don't matter right now," I told him. "Only one thing does."

"And that would be...?" Philip asked me.

"This," I answered as I splashed him with blindness, hit him on the back of the head with my sword, picked him up, and threw him right onto the rail, where he was crushed by the minecart. "The only thing that matters is your death. You've shown me that not only am I a great man, but so is everyone else, except for you. You are the only filth to walk this place, and you will walk it no more."

After tedious work inside of the flapped room, Tom, Papart, and I finally found a way back into Minecraftia. We helped Sylvester, Bartimeus, and Paul defeat the rest of Philip's army, which wasn't so hard to do. All we had to do was find them, ask their name, and ban them from Minecraftia forever.

All of our work here is done.

All of my work here is done.

Minecraftia is at peace once and for all.
