A/N:Killing Vengeance, thanks for your review! I appreciate it very much! What will Alyss do on this update? Now you shall know...^^
Chapter 11 Doomsday Scenario, part 2
Alyss was frozen. She couldn't think of anything to say now. Glen was standing over her menacingly and who knew what he would do to her if she were to reject him right now? He clearly wanted something badly and she did not want such immense power going into his hands. Who knew what he would do with something so great as B-rabbit's power?
Oz as a human did not possess half of the destructive power he had once had, but he could still tap into that power-but the power was still there, nonetheless. She had heard Jack speaking about numerous times when Oz had fallen under the control of B-rabbit-in fact, he had once told her that Oz was responsible for the death of his own mother.
Alyss had been shocked, but assumed that his power was simply too strong for him to control. She vowed to keep a better eye on him from now on-but what happened if he tapped into it too much? He might even hurt Alice-that stupid rabbit, hurting those dear to him.
"Well, Alyss, what is your choice? Are you going to give me its power or aren't you?"
Alyss frowned. "Leave. As it is, I hate your guts. There's no way in hell I'm giving you anything," She said defiantly.
"Alyss, if you don't...you will be sorry," Glen said dangerously. "Now, tell me, where is B-rabbit?"
Alice was fighting for control over her own body, so Alyss was trapped. She didn't know what she could do. 'No, Alice, stay back. This is not your concern. He has ill intentions in mind.'
Alice hissed back. She sounded quite angry. 'Hell no, sister. Give me MY body back. It belongs to me in the first place and you just borrow it from me.'
"Alice, no...don't come..." Alyss whispered, but Alice was fighting her for control and she was winning. Alyss felt dizzy.
"Good," Glen whispered, "Good. Now, Alyss-no, Alice, give me power to utilize that chain."
"What chain?" Alice whispered.
"B-rabbit. I want it so I can bring your mother back and you can see her. Don't you get it yet, Alice? Your mother is down in the Abyss waiting for you to save her. Alyss doesn't want you to see her, so that's why she's feeding you lies."
Alice fell for it, hook, line and sinker. She glared at her twin, who lay on the floor of the Abyss, dazed but still conscious. "You are horrible! How could you do this? How DARE you prevent me from seeing my own mother! You're the worst sister in the world!"
"No...Alice, don't fall for it. It's a lie..." Alyss whispered, but she knew her rambunctious older sister would not listen to reason.
"Sure...I'll give you this chain. Just let me force my stupid sister to send it to you." Alice said. "As long as you promise me that you won't drag Oz into this. He's my only friend."
Glen burst out into hysterical laughter upon hearing the name of the boy he detested more than any other. "It...will not be harmed, Alice. It already has plans for you."
"Stop calling him it!" Alice cried, now offended by Glen's sudden change in personality when he brought up the subject of her friend.
"Oh, Alice...you will understand soon enough. Now, tell Alyss what she needs to do."
Alyss sighed as she gave in to her sister's demands. 'There's nothing I can do. This will end it all...maybe then I won't be the Intention of the Abyss anymore. I can die without regrets.'
Glen stared in marvel at the chain before him. It was a clone-or an offshoot of the creature's powers. Now that the creature was in a human body, he had almost none of his previous power, but at the time that he became human, most of his power had coalesced into another chain. The red-eyed rabbit stared at Glen.
"What do you want...?" It droned, having little to no personality whatsoever.
"B-rabbit...make a contract with me." Glen said.
B-rabbit blinked. "You already have five chains in your body. What good would another chain do you?"
Glen glared at the beast. "Listen to me...I have transferred one of my chains to Gilbert...he now possesses the Raven...and soon he shall have all of them. I need your power to make this world become one with the Abyss."
The rabbit paused. "Why?" He asked.
"She's my sister and I want her daughters to meet her."
"Her...daughters? ...Alice...wants you to do this?" The rabbit droned.
"Yes...now, B-rabbit, form a contract with me." Glen said.
"All right..." B-rabbit agreed, having no mind of its own.
At that moment, Oz got out of bed. There was a strange pain in his chest. He didn't know why, but he suddenly felt like something was going on. "B-rabbit?" He whispered, searching desperately for his best friend. "B-rabbit?"
No reply came whatsoever. His friend was...gone. Oz was horrified. Who could have taken his friend from him? What if they took Alice and his daddy away, too? Oz suddenly felt a sudden jolt as the ground started to sway and shake beneath him. "Daddy?" He whispered.
No answer. Oz grabbed his toys and held onto them tightly as the ground continued to shake, more and more...until he looked out the window and saw that there were cracks forming in the ground and people were starting to panic.
He could see them all running. "What's happening...? Why is the earth moving?"
He thought instantly of his father and his heart started to pound fiercely in his chest as he ran down his stairs, but frowned as he realized they were lurching beneath his weight. "Come on!" He cried to himself as he flew out his door.
He stopped and looked at his house. His father's prized and precious glasses were smashed and the chairs were falling over on top of each other. He held his stuffed animals and his books in his arms. He dropped one, Bandie, who disappeared in the growing gap in the ground.
Oz ran as fast as his legs carried him, away from the ever-growing and expanding hole.
He stopped as he saw a black cat running towards him, its eyes full of terror. "Cheshire!" He cried.
The cat blinked.
"Where's Alice?"
The cat hissed. Oz decided to try again.
"Where's Alyss?"
This time, Cheshire let out a set of desperate meows.
"What happened to her? Tell me where they are!" Oz cried. The cat looked at him and mewed again as he jumped into the hole.
"CHESHIRE!" He cried.
Lottie jolted awake in time to feel her bed shaking beneath her. The other Baskervilles were already up and alert. "Fang, Dug, what's going on?"
"I don't know! The chains supporting the world are gone! There's some sort of earthquake going on!"
Glen opened the door, covered with grime.
"Glen-sama, what's going on?" Lottie cried, racing to her master's side.
He looked at them all coldly. "Kill everyone in this castle! At once!"
"Master, why?" Lottie said. Glen banged his sword near her.
"Wench, do as you are told!" He howled.
Lottie winced but nodded shakily. The other Baskervilles reluctantly did as their master advised.
Vincent ran down the hallway. He would now rescue Gil from certain death! He stopped as he saw Jack dashing down the hallway.
"Vincent, where's Glen?"
"I don't know..." Vincent admitted.
"Come with me, then." Jack said softly as he scooped him up. "We'll find Gilbert. Oz should be fine at home..."
Alyss sat up suddenly. "CHESHIRE!" She screamed. Cheshire was...gone. The embittered girl wept heavily as she felt another presence-that of Oz. "Oz..."
Oz winced as he heard a voice enter his ears. 'Alyss? What's happening...?'
"It's Glen...he's trying to destroy the world and Jack is in the castle! Please, I beg you, save Jack!" Alyss cried desperately. 'Jack, please...' She whined.
Jack froze upon seeing all of the bodies piled up in the castle. He smelled smoke in the air, too. "What the hell is all this?"
Vincent screamed. "Why is everyone dead?"
"Vincent, calm down. Everything should be fine...we need to get Gilbert to safety. Alice's tower should be a safe place to go to..."
"...Jack...I thought you would come here..." A new voice said behind them.
Jack turned to see Glen, covered with blood and holding a sword. Behind him was an enormous black rabbit with red eyes and sharp claws, covered with blood also. It licked its lips, showing huge, razor-sharp teeth and the beast had chains encircling it.
"That's..." Jack stammered, stunned and horrified at the thing before him.
"This is another chain that I contracted with, Jack. Allow me to introduce you to it. This is B-rabbit...or, the Bloody Black Rabbit, courtesy of me."
"But that can't be, Glen! Oz is still-"
"Alice provided me with this thing," Glen said. "Now, Jack, will you stand down? I wish to bring the world to Lacie...it'll more than make up for my sins before."
"Glen, she's dead! Get over her!" Jack cried.
Glen raised his sword at Jack. His rabbit tensed beside him, moving a little.
"LEAVE DADDY ALONE!" A new voice cried. Glen, Jack, and Vincent all turned in time to see Oz standing there, looking horrified.
"Why do you have my rabbit friend? Leave him alone!" Oz cried. "I won't let you hurt Daddy and my friend!"
"Oz, stay back..."
"Da-"
Jack froze in horror as his son fell to the ground in a pool of blood from where Glen had just slashed his back. "OZ!" He cried in horror. Vincent looked on in shock as well.
"You didn't have to hurt him!" Vincent cried. "Why, master?"
"Silence...stand back, Jack. Or else, I will kill it with this chain and end its suffering." Glen whispered.
Suddenly his rabbit rebelled as Oz got back up, his eyes red. "Don't you dare hurt my dad," He whispered. The rabbit aimed chains at Glen and Jack, who jumped back.
"Oz, no!" Jack cried.
"See what I mean? His powers have gone out of control. That is just what I wanted to have happen. I want B-rabbit to disappear here and now...forever. Then, Jack, I can get rid of the Intention of the Abyss..."
Alyss intervened at that moment. "OZ, STOP!"
Oz stopped moving, as did the rabbit. The rabbit observed the little human before it. "Are you...my other self?" It spoke.
"...You're my friend..." Oz whispered.
"No...you are me."
"Jack...look, this is the Bloodstained Black Rabbit, Oz. See how dangerous he is?"
"I'm...the Bloodstained Black Rabbit? No...that can't be!" Oz wailed.
At that moment, Jack dove at Glen in fury, and then their view was obscured because the ground fell in, taking Glen, Jack, and the rabbit with it.
"DADDDYYYYYY!" Oz wailed. Vincent was gone, too, along with Gil.
At that moment, Glen reappeared. "Now, to go to Alice..."
Oz followed after him, slowly...not even noticing how his injury was healing relatively fast.
The rabbit stared at its other self. It was confused.
Oz passed out then as everything went black.
When he awoke, there was nothing but darkness. He looked up and saw the buildings around him were cracked. He saw Alice's tower up ahead as he ran towards it. "Alice!" He cried.
He saw her lying there, dead. Her purple eyes were filled with unshed tears...but she was gone...crimson stained her lovely white dress. B-rabbit was gone...so was Glen.
"Oz...Jack has...Alice is...gone..." The Intention moaned in his mind. "Oz...you must...Oz..."
"Oz...Oz...Young Master! Young Master!"
A sharp voice made its way through Oz's ears. 'Daddy? Daddy? No, that's...Gil?'
His eyes shot open then as he awoke. "Gil...?" He moaned, rubbing his eyes.
An image of Gilbert appeared before him, looking strangely older than before. Oz noticed a young girl by his bed with a red ribbon in her hair, also with blond hair like his own. "Onii-chan!" She shouted.
"What...?" Oz said in confusion as he examined himself before realizing...he was here. Somehow, he was now fifteen years old. He had traveled through time while looking for his daddy, and he had met Zai and Rechelle Vessalius.
They had no children, so Oz was taken in by a sympathetic Rechelle when she learned of his past. Oz remembered everything that had happened. He had tried to ask Gilbert what had happened to his dad, but he had been shocked to discover that Gil didn't remember anything at all.
Gil was different here. Here, he didn't see Oz as his friend anymore...now he saw him as his "young master." What had happened? Alice was gone, too. He was over a hundred years old now. That was a terrifying thought.
"Young master?" Gil questioned.
Oz blinked. "Gil...? I'm fine." He lied.
'I'm going to find you, Daddy. Where are you?'
