Just heard the news that Dean Winters got a lead role in a new show which means that he's leaving SVU. I'm completely heartbroken! I really hope he's able to stay because him and Olivia are so perfect together and they've been through so much that ending them would be so pointless and make absolutely no sense. What do you guys think and feel about this whole situation?
Anyways here's an update. Please read and review!
Sorry for any mistakes.
Olivia sat in her office the next day, finishing her report on a case they had just closed.
She heard a soft knock at the door.
"Come in," she called.
Nick opened the door and walked over to her. "I finished my report," he said as he handed her the file.
"Thanks. Go home." It was already 10 pm and they had closed their case and finished their reports.
Nick nodded. "You need a lift home?"
"No, thanks. I need to finish a few things," she answered then looked back down at her paperwork.
Nick stood there but, kept quiet.
Olivia looked up again. "Need something else?"
He sat down across from her desk. "Did you and Brian have a chance to talk last night?" Nick noticed how puffy and red her eyes had been that morning but, he hadn't had a chance to talk to her.
"Uh...yeah."
"How'd it go? Is he still upset?"
"It didn't go so well."
"Oh, I'm sorry."
She just shrugged.
"Are you going home tonight?"
"Yeah, after I finish up my paperwork."
Nick stood up. "C'mon, I'll take you home. This can wait until tomorrow." He closed her file as grabbed her coat.
She smiled and nodded. "Thanks."

Olivia walked into her apartment and hung her coat up. She dropped her purse and keys on the stand next to the door.
She knew Brian was home since she heard their shower running.
She walked into their bedroom and changed into her pajamas then walked back into the living room, waiting for him.
After Brian finished his shower, he walked out and saw Olivia in the kitchen drinking tea.
"Hey."
"Hi," he replied, quietly then retreated into the guest room where he stayed the night before.
Olivia took a deep breath an sipped her tea.
When Brian had been in his room for 20 minutes without coming out, Olivia decided to go talk to him.
She walked into their guest room and saw him lying in bed, staring at the ceiling.
"Going to sleep?" she asked, taking a seat next to him.
"Uh, yeah."
"Can we talk real quick?"
He sighed. "It's been a long day. I don't want to do this right now," he replied.
"I'm not trying to fight with you. I just want to understand."
He just sighed and looks at her. He was exhausted and the last thing he wanted to do was get into a fight with her.
"Brian, I don't know what you want from me. I'm trying here," she told him with tears threatening in her eyes.
"No, Olivia, that's the problem. You're not trying."
"What do you think I'm doing now? I'm sorry if it seemed like I wasn't trying in the past. It's hard for me to open up to people. I'm so used to being independent-"
"I know it's hard but, I thought I had proven to you that you can trust me."
"I do trust you," she assured him.
Brian gently wiped the single tear that fell from her eye. "Let's just get some sleep. We can talk more tomorrow ok?" he suggested.
Olivia was glad that he was acting more sensitive towards her but, she was still hurt. She nodded and stood up. "Goodnight."
"Night."

The next day...
Olivia and the squad were going over new leads for a case they had caught. She had left while Brian was sleeping that morning so she assumed he had the day off.
He hadn't called or even texted her all day. It was 5 pm so maybe he had gotten called into work.
"Fin, Rollins go talk to our new witness," she ordered as she handed them a piece of paper she had just received.
Olivia and Nick were discussing the case when they saw Brian walk in.
"Hey guys." Brian smiled.
He didn't receive a smile back though. All he got in return was a glare from Nick.
"Liv, got a minute?" Brian asked, pointing towards her new office.
Olivia nodded and led them to her office.
Brian closes the door behind them and stood across from her.
"How has your day been?" he asked, trying to make small talk.
Olivia shrugged. "Fine. Yours?"
"I had lunch with a friend then finally fixed the sink you were complaining about," he joked.
She smiled. "About time."
He smiled and caressed her face. "I missed you though."
"Yeah?"
Brian nodded and kissed her forehead. "I'm sorry about last night."
"I'm sorry for pushing you away," she says.
"We're just going through a rough patch right now. We'll pull through it but I don't want this to be it for us, Liv."
"I don't want to keep hurting you," she whispers.
Brian took her hands in his. "Liv, are you happy being with me? Because sometimes it doesn't seem like it."
Olivia stood there shocked at his question. "Brian-"
"You used to be so happy when we got back together and now it just feels…different," he explained, trying to think of a way to describe it.
"Oh, Brian. Of course I'm happy with you. It's just that I was in a bad place but, I'm finally starting to get back to where I used to be." She gently cupped his face in her hands. "I'm sorry that it seems like I'm not happy but, please believe me when I tell you that I am. I've never felt so happy than I have being with you."
"Liv, I don't want to have to go through this with you again," he said, referring to thirteen years ago.
"Me either but, I don't know what else you want from me. I know you may not believe it but, I'm trying. I'm trying to let you in and I'm trying to open up to you. It's not easy for me though."
"I get that, Liv. I do. It wasn't easy for me either until I met you."
She looked down. "So now what?"
Brian lifted her head so that she was looking at him. "We'll make it work. I don't want to lose you."
"I don't want to lose you either. I'll try harder, I promise."
"Me too." He gave her a quick kiss on her lips then took her in an embrace. "I love you."
"I love you too."
As they stood there hugging, Nick walked into her office. "Uh, sorry but, Liv the mother of the victim is here and she may have something to help us."
Olivia and Brian pulled away.
"Ok, I'll be right out," Olivia replied.
Nick nodded then closed the door behind him as he left.
"I'll let you get back to work. I'll see you at home." Brian kissed her one more time.
Olivia smiled and nodded. "Ok, I love you."
"Love you too, babe." He gave her one last smile before leaving.
Hope you guys enjoyed the chapter! Please let me know what you thought. I would love to hear your thoughts.
I'm thinking that the next chapter might be the last or the one after that.
