Kate was finally able to get some sleep, after the girls were happy with what she told them they left. As she left for work the next morning, something in the air made the hair in the back of her neck stand. A musty almost rotten kind of scent was held in the air. She knew that scent, but nothing came to her mind. With a shake of her head she walked off, today the girls had a game and they needed to practice. Allison was to help with the equipment before the game.
During lunch she decided to grab the equipment and set everything up, the teams last class was her anyways. Kate was so into what she was doing that she didn't even notice Hotch walk up to her.
"Hey." Hotch greeted.
Kate jumped leaping backwards and into his arms. "Hotch!"
"Yeah, sorry I didn't mean to scare you." Helping her to stand he pushed her hair behind her ear. "I thought you heard me."
"It's fine. What are you doing here?" Kate asked.
Hotch smiled. "Not happy to see me?"
Kate blushed. "Of course I am, but I am surprise to see you here."
Hotch grabbed her by the waist pulling her close to him. "I called and texted you, but got no response. After a few I got worried and decided to look for you."
"I-I sorry! My phone is…" Patting her pants, Kate hummed. "I don't know where my phone is." Looking up at him, he was even closer to her. "What did you need?"
"Nothing, but we do have a date run." Hotch whispered. He was dying to kiss her, to taste her once more. He wasn't sure how she would react to kissing him openly and at work. He knew she wanted it, he could smell her turn on, hear the beat of her heat speed up. If that wasn't enough to push him, seeing her biting her lip did. "Bloody hell." Leaning down he claimed her lips in a heated kiss.
Kate gasped with surprise, giving him access to her mouth. Feeling him deepen the kiss, she wrapped her arms around his neck. Running her ringer thru his soft hair, tugging it ever so often.
Hotch had one hand on her back and the other trailing over her stomach, under her shirt. Her skin felt smooth and warm, making him wonder how the rest of her felt. Just as he began kissing down her neck, laughter and cat calls were heard. Looking up and over her shoulder he huffed at the group of girls walking over to them.
"Your team is here." Hotch grumbled.
Kate bit her lip, hiding her face into his chest. "I will not hear the end of this. Thank you."
Pecking her lips, he smirked. "Your welcome."
"Mind if we borrow our coach for two hours?" Allison asked. Her eyes filled with amusement.
Hotch wrapped his arms around her waist, giving his niece a shake of the head. "I'm not really in the mood of sharing today. You're the team captain, can't you practice with them?"
Allison laughed. "No I cant. Now hand her over."
"Fine, but I want her back in two hours no more." Hotch growled.
Kate pecked his cheek. "You're leaving?"
"No, I'll be at the bleachers. No reason to leave, when you're not coming." Giving them a smile he left to sit at the top bleacher. It gave him a full view of the girls and fields, plus with this low wind he had a perfect spot. Anything coming towards them would send their sent towards him.
Kate was teased the entire practice. She took it out on them, having them do runs, pushups, and pull ups. After class was over, came afterschool practice which went by quickly. The girls had an hour before the game was to start, so they went off. Allison and Maila went in search of the pack, while Kate headed up the bleachers. To her surprise they were halfway filled up already. Just as she was going to take a seat, Hotch pulled her onto his lap.
"Who you playing?" He asked.
Kate sighed. "Westwood high, they are the top team. Only once were we able to beat them and that was because of a forfeit."
"You'll do fine." He was going in for a kiss, but looking around he noticed all the male's eyes on them. Some were already turned on. With a growl he pulled away, staring down the one in front of them. The blond kid was quick to look away.
"Hotch? What's wrong?" Kate frowned, not knowing why he growled or pulled away.
Hotch glanced down at her and back to the males. "Nothing, lets head down. You need to get ready and I can't handle these much male hormones." Kate was confused by his choice of words, but followed him down. Seeing the blond boy blush and avoid Hotch's eyes, she knew what was wrong.
"You can't be serious?" Kate giggled.
Hotch frowned. "What?"
"Nothing, listen I have to go meet up with the other coach. Mind waiting a few more minutes?" Kate gave him her puppy eyes.
Rolling his own, he leaned down giving her a small kiss. "I'd wait as long as you'd like. I'll be on the side line."
Hotch was rather bored to be honest, he enjoyed seeing her coach and see Allison play. But he wasn't a fan of doing nothing, at least at jack's games he would be the one coaching. His boredom was pushed aside at the sight of both his and Derek's pack. Mentally preparing himself, he stood on the other side of the bench.
"Agent Hotchner." Derek greeted.
"Hale." Hotch growled. He couldn't help it; it was just how he was. Rossi and the others walked up to him, each touching him somehow. It was their way of letting him and the lycan know the pack was safe and sound. "What have you all been up to?"
"Nothing much. The girls went shopping…again." Rossi answered. "Morgan, Reid, Chris and I went hunting. Caught a nice buck."
"If you're hungry we have him in the shed." Chris whispered.
Hotch growled playfully. "I don't take dead meat."
"How are things with Kate?" JJ asked.
Hotch smiled. "Great, we have a date after the game. Don't know where to take her though."
"I know this great food joint." Stiles spoke up. "I can give you the address."
"Thank you Stiles." Hotch glanced over at her just as the wind blew over him, taking a sniff of the air he frowned. "You smell that?" He asked Derek.
Derek took a sniff as well. "Rouges. They come here in search of possible new members." With a growl he turned to his pack. "Go search the woods, use any force to chase them off." The pack was going with in seconds.
"Who is the alpha?" Rossi asked.
Derek shrugged. "I have been trying to find that out, but I don't know. They previous one was a wolf called Marcus, but about a year ago we found him dead."
"Who killed him?" Morgan asked, he was rather intrigued.
"Whoever it was had to be strong and huge. Marcus was shredded to pieces and he himself was not small. Now I have seen it with omegas before. A pack will tear up an omega, but an alpha. This wolf has got to be a monster." Derek growled.
"Or a lycan?" Morgan suggested.
All eyes turned to Hotch, who in return just shrugged. "I don't know; I haven't caught the scent of another one. The betas from the meadow didn't have the scent of a lycan. It is possible, but that would mean he has another wolf doing his bidding."
"You mean like a lead beta taking on the role of alpha?" Derek asked.
Hotch nodded. "It's the only way an alpha can stay hidden."
Screams suddenly broke out, people began rushing off the bleachers. Hotch and the others looked around confused as to what was happening. It wasn't until they looked to the right of the field.
The rouges were coming at full speed towards the town.
They were on the hunt.
