Previously in She's My Wife

The light flitted in as she took her first step inside the smells of oil paints and new materials filling up her nose as she scanned the room for him. She found him in the corner of his sunlit cave like a hermit in the corner frightened of what might happen if she came. "He's gone," she said softly.

"He shouldn't have come here in the first place," he answered quickly his face looking remorseful as her eyes widened he opened his mouth to say something but ultimately shut it. He turned his back to her leaving her to decide whether or not she would stay in the room with him or leave. Klaus worked in silence his charcoal pencil working over the canvas frame in quick and meticulous strokes.

"She's turning out beautifully," she whispered coming up from behind him her hand landing over his stopping him from working. He side eyed her but she was far from looking at him, her eyes were in awe at the sight before her. He had started to work on her portrait and from the looks of it she was impressed.

"She's you," he murmured unmoving except for the slightest of tilts to his chin to get a better look at her observing his work. A small smile appeared on her lips before she shook her head, "No she's much more beautiful than me, she's how you see me." Caroline said her fingers tightening over his hand as she spoke.

Klaus spoke once more asking, "Are you alright?" After a moment of silence his eyes searching her own as his hold began loosening so she could pull away if she wished. She nodded softly before only just kissing his chin making a ghost of a smile spread across his lips.

"I am," she said assuring him with a nod observing the slight shift in his eyes as she continued, "I have you." She laughed softly, "I know that what I have here," she said sliding her hands down his chest."

"And I am fully aware of what I would have had with Tyler," she finished hearing him grumble deep in his throat. "But, you still had no reason to act like that," she murmured tilting her head so her lips brushed against his whilst she spoke.

"I was just-" Klaus started as his fingers traced the zipper on the back of her dress making him smirk at her shiver his gratification was short-lived however. Caroline moved her lips away from his before he could try and fix everything with a kiss or alpha male words that would no doubt lead them into a fight.

With a grin she pressed her small hand over his lips shaking her head at him. "I know, but I can take care of myself," she insisted noticing his frown as he observed her, "What you need to focus on is what we'll be doing when everyone leaves." She said, her voice dropping an octave.

Klaus licked his lips in response to her words making her bite her lip his eyes dropping to her mouth as her grin grew into a full-fledged smile, "You don't have to chase me around the lawn or the planet like we're teens," she sighed as he leaned his forehead against hers.

He kissed her softly not minding that she didn't move her lips under his just relishing in her taste waiting for her to speak or react. "I'm your wife," she sighed before kissing him back, "Not his, okay?" Caroline gasped out as his lips left hers trailing her neck.

Klaus' lips upturned when he felt her pulse faster than a hummingbirds against his tongue the heat coming from her neck exciting him further as he murmured, "Okay," in response barely managing to keep his head on.

He heard her sigh as he pulled away knowing there were too many people in the house to continue this little game, "Okay," he repeated but it wasn't a question the way he said it made her bite her lip wishing he would kiss her. Her eyes went directly to his lips just as he began to smile again.

"I love you and I trust you," Klaus sighed his eyes registering where hers were leading as he spoke she moved in closer her warm body hugging his reminding him of baser activities as she whispered his words back to him.

He blinked to rid himself of thoughts that would lead to nowhere at the moment with so many guests mainly his family down the hall. Clearing his throat he admitted something to her that tore at him, "I just don't want harm to come to you not by my hand or any others."

"Tyler can't hurt me," she told him with a serious look recalling the blow she gave him on their wedding day before she fainted. "The only one with that power is you." She heard him chuckle into her ear as his lips grazed her neck.

"Would you say I'm the most powerful creature that walked the earth to find your love," he asked teasingly as her arm came over his shoulder once more sliding down his back to his waist although she kept her distance still tingling on the inside.

"Why do you always have to prove you're the alpha male," she muttered with a roll of her eyes that he adored as he kissed over the line of her face feeling the softness of her skin under his eager lips. "It's not necessary."

"I don't Caroline," he said as he threw her a wicked look, "You give me that power," he said with a grin throwing her words back at her. The blonde felt a second wind and a desperate need to kiss him just to teach him a lesson but settled for a shake of her head at him.

"Act like a person," she said bashfully feeling her cheeks heat up along with her neck and chest in need of him, in response to him. She looked back up feeling his eyes on her with a look that caught her breath. Klaus eyes shimmering made her whole person light up under his stare.

"Now that you two have kissed and made up can we celebrate me," Rebekah's voice rang through the room taking them both by surprise. They turned to find her with a classic Mikaelson wicked grin on her face.

"Actually we will," Caroline said before Klaus could bite back with a cutting remark at his sister's interruption of their reunion. "Nik and I have a toast to make all for you." She said with a wink to her husband as she tugged on his hand following Rebekah out.

Klaus looked around the room to his family and his rather unwelcome guests before he spoke, "A toast to my wife is in order I think," he told them as he kissed the top of Caroline's head making her smile, "The poor thing is just dragging the blanket for me." She quickly sent him a glare from under her lashes, "I'm kidding." Klaus said, with a wink "Mostly."

He held her tighter so she could not escape as he began to speak again this time more seriously, "Caroline, he addressed her, "Thank you for being my witness in this journey through life. Thank you for fighting me and fighting for me. Thank you for loving me."

Caroline felt everyone's eyes on them but she only had eyes for him as she absorbed his heartfelt words she tried not to let a tear escape from the brim of her eyes but one little bastard betrayed her. She released a breath as his finger wiped it away.

"Even if were apart I'll still be with you" Klaus mumbled against her so softly she barely heard it before he let her go, "More wine?" he asked more loudly as she handed him her glass nodding. "As my mistress wishes," he said remembering their first night in their home together.

Caroline wasn't alone for long after he departed for another refill of their glasses and although he was across the room his eyes were never far from her own. Her eyes danced with flirtation as did her smile even as their gusts flocked around her.

Klaus saw it again the flash of light that never seemed to go away from the moment he saw her outside his mother's workplace that little light that was always on inside her and how it burns on his skin and amplifies the sun.

In the nights they had spent together while there were few it was sometimes a soft light, sometimes a hot little blue flame, but he was always aware of that light. Klaus leaned over the wet bar in the living room moving past Kol and Elijah next to Stefan where he grabbed hold of one of the wine bottles that were presently chilled there.

Stefan laughed next to him Klaus hadn't realized just how close to him he had gotten as he watched Enzo and Damon chatting by Caroline and her old friends. "Klaus I know you were in a hospital bed a long time with no memory but I can feel your pain up against my leg."

Kol burst out laughing alerting the crowd in front of them of something transpiring before Klaus could move himself away from the delicate position he had put both himself and Stefan in. As he moved her jerked sending both wine glasses to the floor on instinct he went to grab for them.

He felt a sharp stinging pain before having it turn to a nice little ache as he felt a hot liquid running from the open wound having cut his palm in the process. "Nik," he heard Caroline exclaim as he fell on one knee, "I'm fine Caroline."

"You're bleeding you moron!" she said as she reached the bar practically shoving Kol and Stefan out of her way to get a wet towel and some ice for his hand. How they managed to go from zero to sixty in no time at all made her believe one thing, it would never be easy between them.

Then again Caroline learned that the road less traveled lead to Klaus and she would gladly take that journey time and time again. She tried to quell her nerves knowing they had been through worse than this and would no doubt have another situation like this one in the future.

"Just as long as you're okay," she said

"I think it's time we all left, how about you guys?" Damon said the only smart thing he could at least in Klaus' opinion. Everyone nodded agreeing that leaving the pair alone was for the best considering the intended goal for this evening was to get the pair to admit how they felt.

Klaus didn't dare move from his place on the sofa until he heard the door shut as the last of their guests vacated the premises. He heard the soft flicking of her heels as she came closer he felt the corners of his lips upturn the closer she came to him.

"Mixing blood and red wine to cause a stir Nik," she asked, "I thought I was the drama queen." She finished as she sat on the armrest her feet hanging off the side as she felt his hand come to her thigh. He gave her leg a gentle squeeze the bandage on his hand scratching her just a bit.

"They were never going to leave," he said brimming with amusement quite proud of himself and his wife foe playing along for as long as she did. "And now I have you to myself," he said as his hand moved towards her waist wrapping around her as his other hand went to the bottoms of her thighs pulling her unto his lap.

"You know Damon's the only one that fell for it," she said as his lips inched closer to her own causing short jerky breaths to escape her. "Could you just kiss me already," she blurted having waited days for the opportunity to kiss him just because she could.

Klaus didn't have to be asked again his lips coming over hers devouring every bit of her he could his tongue begging for entrance groaning when she accepted him. Her hands ran into his hair her fingers kneading at his scalp as she moaned.

He chuckled inside of her mouth enjoying the feeling of her warmth, "I love you so much," she sighed, as his hands rubbed up and down her backside. "I was so scared and I just-" Klaus kissed her again before she could get too carried away.

"I know," he reminded her, "When it was you in my place I would have torn the world apart trying to find a solution, a way to bring you back to me." She kissed him this time hard feeling their teeth clash but uncaring as they went.

She pushed him back on the couch shifting around as she did as he helped her with her skirt so her legs could come around him until she was straddling him with a more set position. She felt her body rise in temperature her heart climb up into her throat and her lungs burn but she refused to stop kissing him.

It seemed to Klaus that he would never be able to fill his need for her. The beautiful blonde that was Caroline tumbled into his life and changed it forever. He felt himself crumble at the way she felt over him her chest rubbing against his, her hips slowly rocking and grinding against his own.

If his eyes weren't already shut they might roll to the back of his head from how good she felt, she whimpered as he sucked on her lip his hands finding the belt on her waist hastily untying it. His mouth trailed hotly over her jaw down to her neck and the valley of her breasts over her neckline.

He murmured her name feeling her shake on top of him he grew anxious his teeth nipping at the flesh exposed to him teasingly changing pressures to hear what sounds might come from her lips. He felt his pain rise high as she began rubbing herself harder on him her quick breaths at his ear warm and inviting.

She bit his ear licking down the lobe to sooth him as her hands traced the shadow of his cheeks the tiny hairs tickling her fingers as she went. She felt him zip down her dress his hands coming over the newly exposed flesh the cool air giving her goose-bumps.

"I could take you right her just like this," he mumbled against her, "It is true, you are a sight above me, like a goddess I'd get on my knees to pray to," he whispered as he kissed her quickly. "But I'd rather take you on our bed and be on my knees for you in other ways."

Caroline felt him move under her as he hoisted her up his embrace becoming tighter as he stood up her legs locking around his waist. Her head fell to his shoulder as she fought for breath hearing him say, "I could paint for centuries and never capture the essence of your true beauty."

"You create beauty Nik, inside of me, all around me," she asked giggling into his neck, "I never saw all the colors in the world as brightly until now," she whispered before nipping at him making him halt as they made it to the stairs."I never saw the blue of your eyes anywhere else and i know the only place I'll see them again is with our children."

She picked up her head nervously only to be taken over by his lips crushing over hers as he kissed her she felt her hips and back hit the wall his hands protecting her. She sighed into his mouth as his hands made their way under her skirt driving her insane, "Nik," she cried as she felt the tips of his fingers reach the apex of her thighs.

She bit her lips as she felt him smile into her neck where he had been kissing her. "Yes, Love," he taunted before his fingers moved the thin fabric of her underwear aside softly colliding with the warm heat he had caused. She heard him groan as his fingers danced up and down as far as he could reach in their position.

"I need to get you to that bed," he murmured she readily agreed nodding her head as he lifted her off of the wall once more sprinting up the stairs. He grinned Caroline laughing at his side he felt his body rise up with joy as he saw their bedroom door thinking to himself he was almost there.

"Do you have a thing about putting me against walls?" she asked as he pressed her to their bedroom door while he opened it. He gave her a wicked grin that made her shiver as she placed a hand on his cheek.

"I think if you had remembered me that night in the woods I would have taken you against that tree so I might." He admitted kissing her as they entered the room his foot getting the door miraculously as she held herself tighter to him making him feel her many delicious attributes.

She felt her back come to lie on the bed as he pushed her up Klaus following closely a hungry look in his eyes as he watched her head hit the pillow. "I want to remember you like this, always, your eyes, I love them so immensely I don't know what to do with myself when you look at me Caroline."

"I want to stay here enveloped inside of you for days," he said as he leaned forward hovering over her placing soft kisses over her face, her eyelids his breath tickling her skin, his fingers tracing her arms and sides just before he kissed her.

Her arms latched around his neck as she felt his hands spread her legs at her knees accommodating him before she wrapped one leg around him while her other foot rubbed against his calve. "I have time," she responded cheekily though Caroline's out of breath state didn't escape him.

She held her breath gathering her bravery her hand slipping down from his neck over his chest as he watched both watching unmoving. She reached down unbuttoning his jeans one by one, they heard the soft metal clicks in between them.

Her hand sneaked her way inside his waistline moving past his boxers until she felt what had been teasing her since the last time she felt it inside of her. She heard him swear under his breath as she deftly wrapped her fingers around his hardness.

His eyes widened as she held him in her grasp her palm facing her as she dragged her hand over him back and forth with little effort. "Do you like this," she whispered starting to move her hand slowly only smiling when he shut his eyes feeling him shiver at her actions.

"You should stop now," he grunted placing a hand over her arm but not stopping her delightful friction as she added some pressure to her movements. He felt his breath hitch finding it harder think, catch his breath or think of stopping her now.

She bit her lip as she felt his skin slide along her hand adding more pressure than before she was lost in just touching him. Shutting her eyes at how good he felt his hand in her hair and her free one on his chest feeling his heart hammering.

She opened her eyes moving her hand down to play with him further as he watched as her other hand touched the velvety softness of him he buried his head in her neck. "I want to keep touching you but I don't want you to come unless you're inside me," she whispered as she gently pulled her hand away.

AN: Soooo yeah, don't hate me.
