Kat's P.O.V
I screamed as I seemed to be thrown from the sand storm that was the ancient priest. I landed one way, and Evie and Beni the other. Although Beni seemed to have landed on Evie. I quickly scrambled up to help Evie get him off. We both slapped at him.
"I need a new job." Beni mumbled to himself.
We watched as the sand tornado returned to the form of Imhotep. He marched past Evie, Beni and I, only to stop and look over the dune we were on.
"Oh, my god." Evie said as we saw the city of Hamunaptra. "We're back."
"We're screwed." I uttered, completely horrified.
Suddenly we heard the motor what sounded like a plane. Both Evie I looked up to see a plane flying about. Although we hand different reactions. Evie smiled and whispered, "O'Connell." At first I smirked, then my face lit up into a grin. My brother was still alive, and we were going to be saved. In my peripheral vision, I saw Imhotep glower and glare at the plane.
A roar broke out from his lips and cracks appeared in the ground, lifting up millions of particles of sand. An invisible wind seemed to break out and push Evie and I back a bit. A huge sand-wall pitched forward and went after the plane. My eyes widened in horror and I let out a strangled cry. That bastard was going to try to kill my brother again.
The plane dived off a cliff and seemed to pull up at the last moment. But it didn't do much good as the sand-wall was still after them. A face appeared in the wall, as Imhotep himself smirked. The face on the sand-wall opened it's mouth and seemed to swallow the plane.
"Stop it! You'll kill them!" I cried. "That's the idea." Beni replied.
Fury swelled up in my veins as I continued to watch in horror. I turned sharply around and made my way towards Imhotep. I was determined to help them. Beni tried to stop me but Evie pushed him away. I strode right to Imhotep and brought my fist back, he didn't see me as his eyes were shut in concentration. I unleashed my fury in that one single punch, that snapped his head to the side.
I felt victory until my mind registered the pain in my fist and I clutched my fist to my chest as I jumped up and down.
"Ow, ow, ow, OW! My bloody fist. You bloody wanker!" I yelled. I turned around just in time to see the plane, that now had black smoke, crash somewhere off to the side of another sand dune. An explosion of sand rocketed upwards.
I fell to my knees, with my fist still clutched to my chest, in almost defeat. He had successfully killed my brother. Tears leaked down my face as I couldn't take my eyes from where the crash site was. Evie was at my side, trying to see my hand. Imhotep looked mad as strolled past us, undoubtedly pissed that I hit him. Evie and I finally stood up.
"I loved the whole sand-wall trick. It was beautiful. Bastard." Beni commented.
We were back in the under ground city now. Evie and I looked around as we heard skittering around. We stopped once as the skittering sounded like it was right in front of us. "Keep moving." Beni sneered as he poked his gun into our backs. We both glared at him
"You know, nasty little fellows such as yourself, always get their comeuppance." Evie sneered right back at him.
"Oh really? They do?" The little weasel seemed to be a little frightened.
"Oh, yes.Always." I retorted.
Evie and I continued on, not bothered by him anymore.
Now we were just standing around as Imhotep prepared something.
Suddenly we heard a gun shot echo through the chamber. Hope sky rocketed through out my soul.
"O'Connell." Evie whispered. I blinked. Did she have more hormones than I did? She's pinning after a guy, albeit he is trying to save us, while I worry about our brother.
Imhotep poured the dust of what I'm guessing used to be organs and blew it at the wall. He then started to chant in Ancient Egyptian. A moaning filled the chamber as two mummies came out of the wall. I blanched. Who the hell did this and why?
"Bembridge scholars never wrote about this." Evie uttered.
"I don't think they would. I don't even think they knew." I muttered right back. Truth be told, those things terrified me. Beni grabbed both of ours wrists and held tight.
"Get off!" we hissed.
The two mummies bowed to Imhotep and he to them. Then he ordered them to, as from little I understand the language, wake the others and kill. How many times is he going to try to kill our brother and other saviors. I'm sure he'll survive this round, right?
Imhotep suddenly turned to us and smirked. I was instantaneously worried. He grabbed another jar and poured another powder into his hand. He blew it into our faces and my world turned black.
Imhotep's P.O.V
It was almost time to make Masika mine again. Her brother and the two Medjai were annoyingly persistent to 'save' Masika and Nefertiri. I realize now, that the way I had taken them, might not have had a desiring affect of a calm way of restoring their memories. I would not harm them. Although I was still mad about how she broke my concentration on the sand wall. Punching my face and bruising her hand was not a smart idea.
I decided to restore Nefertiri's memories first, as she would help calm Masika. I want Masika to have her revenge upon Anck-Su-Namun. I watched as they both pitched back. I picked Nefertiri up and placed her on the alter.I chained her hands so she wouldn't escape. I then turned towards Masika and brought her near the stairs and gently bound her feet and hands together.
Smiling, I walked back to prepare for the ritual.
