"Let me go, Arthur. This isn't what you want to do. I'm your friend, Arthur. Please don't do this. Please."

"You lied to me! What were you planning?!" Arthur yelled in rage.

"I don't want to hurt you, I would never-"

"Then why did you lie?" Arthur growled.

"I-I didn't know how you would react."

"Well, now you know, now you know exactly how I would react, how I would react when my friend turns out to be what you are, Merlin." Arthur's held his sword across Merlin's neck, his eyes distorted in rage and betrayal.

"Please Arthur, just let me go. You're not thinking clearly Arthur. Please don't do this Arthur, I'm your friend.

"Not anymore." Arthur released Merlin from his grip, and turned to walk away. Then without any warning, Arthur whipped around, and plunged his sword deep into Merlin's stomach. Merlin let out a low groan, and when Arthur pulled his blade back, he sank to the ground. Arthur turned again, and walked away. Merlin couldn't move, pain rushed through him with every breath, but not all the pain was from his wound. All he could think was that his best friend had just tried to kill him. He closed his eyes and tried to focus. Maybe Kilgarah could help him.

Morgause had escaped Merlin's wrath. It hadn't been easy, but she had done it. Just a simple concealing spell, and then while Merlin was busy searching for her, she changed her form to that of Arthur Pendragon. Merlin was so easily fooled. All she had to do was make Merlin think that she was Arthur and no harm would come to her. By now she had changed back to her normal appearance. She only had one more thing to do before her sister was returned to her.

Arthur's POV

Time seemed to have no meaning here. Arthur couldn't tell how long he'd been here. Laila was nowhere to be seen, and Arthur wondered if he'd ever get out of here. His eyes slipped shut, as he drifted to sleep.

"Arthur! Wake up!" Arthur woke up to Laila shaking him awake, alarm in her voice and fear in her eyes.

"What? What is it?!" Arthur was sure that this could be nothing good.

"Your friend is in grave danger! I don't know if I can help you get out of here, but I will try. He must not die."

"Merlin?! What happened!" Dread filled his heart, if anything happened to Merlin, he would never forgive himself.

"My master says he will allow you to go to your friend, but after you will return here. Be careful of the danger that lies in the depths of misunderstanding, and never forsake those you love. Remember my words, Arthur, and remember the actions of a true friend."

A light filled his vision, and when it faded he was somewhere else. And there he saw Merlin. He rushed to his side. Red stained the gray floor he was laying on, and the pool of blood only grew.

"Merlin? Can you hear me?" Arthur spoke quietly, afraid that it was already to late. Merlin groaned, but he opened his eyes. When he saw Arthur, his eyes snapped wide open.

"Why did you come back? I thought you said you wanted nothing more to do with me." Merlin said.

"What are you taking about? I would never say that, not to my friend."

"Then why did you do this?" Merlin waved a hand over his stomach.

"I didn't do this Merlin. Why would I ever try to kill you?" Arthur stared to put pressure on the wound, but Merlin tried to push him away.

"Leave me alone! One minute you try to kill me, and the next you act like it never happened! What gives you the right to do that?"

"Merlin, I would never try to kill you. Please just let me help you."

"Just go. Please." Voices echoed through the walls.

"And you are sure he went here?"

"Yes. What do you want with him anyway?" Arthur and Merlin went silent.

"Let's just say he owes me a favor. I need to bring him to a friend of mine, and it will not be pretty. Here's your money. Thanks for you help." Light footsteps came closer to where Merlin and Arthur were. Arthur quietly stood up, and drew his sword. Someone wearing a dark, hooded cloak came around the corner. Arthur jumped behind the man, and held his sword to his back.

"Who are you?" Arthur growled.

"Ah, for a second there I thought I was done for, but it's only the princess."

"Gwaine?" Arthur was shocked. Gwaine was the last person he expected. He sheathed his sword.

"The one and only." He smiled, but that didn't last. He saw Merlin. "Merlin? Are you alright?" Gwaine knelt down and examined him.

"We need to get him to a doctor, he's losing a lot of blood." A loud roar swept through the stone halls. Merlin smiled.

"Right on time."

"What Merlin?" Gwaine asked.

"Nothing, I said, what this time?"
