Emma sauntered up to hers and Walsh's table at the restaurant. She sat down in the chair and smiled at her boyfriend. The two made conversation as their drinks arrived, and Walsh asked Emma, "How did Henry's volcano do at the science fair? And how was Dorothy in the school play? I am so sorry I couldn't make it, I had to work."

"It was Pompeii all over again, thanks to yours and Dorothy's help. And she was amazing, being the lead in The Wizard of Oz gave her something to do. I'm just happy she's not getting into trouble." Emma spoke, and the couple clinked their glasses in unison. Walsh sipped his wine and added modestly, "All I did was tell him not to use real lava. Dorothy was the one who helped him construct it."

The blonde commented on his teachers appreciating it, and pretty soon the food came. As Emma finished her steak, Walsh grabbed her hand. When he asked if she was happy, Emma responded, "I am happy." The man excused himself for a moment, and quickly, the pirate slid into the empty seat.

"Don't scream, just hear me out. I don't do this very often, so treasure it, love. I've come to apologize." Hook eloquently said, and Emma clenched her knife in her hand. "For trying to kiss me and having your little sidekick assault my daughter?" She questioned, and he spoke, "We were only trying to jog your memories." The pirate also mentally corrected Emma, Dorothy was his daughter.

The savior ordered him to leave, but Killian continued, "Your parents are in grave danger." Emma stopped him there, "You really have no idea what you're talking about." The man cut in again, "Because you think you're an orphan? Because that's haunted you your whole life? I'm here to tell you everything you believe is wrong."

"You don't know me." Emma stated, and Hook easily responded, "I know you better than you know yourself. I have proof, take a gander. Here's an address. If you want to know who you really are, who your parents are, go to this address." Killian told her that she was at the address one year ago, and Emma defended, "One year ago I was living in Boston til a fire destroyed my apartment and I moved to New York to have a fresh start with my kids."

Killian mumbled, "Regina really did a number on you; I wonder if she did the same with my daughter." The blonde pointed to herself and stated, "No. My daughter, not yours. You're a crazy person, or a liar. Or both."

"I prefer dashing rapscallion, a scoundrel." The pirate replied, and Emma noticed the same wittiness that Dorothy had. Emma really wanted to punch him in the face, he was a lunatic. "You really don't believe me, do you? Try using your superpower, yep. I know about that. Use it, see that I'm telling the truth."

"Just because you believe something's true doesn't make it real." Emma argued, and the pirate agreed, "Maybe, maybe not. I know you, Swan. you sense something's off. Go to that address, take a chance, and then you'll want to talk. When you do, I'll be in Central Park by the entrance of the zoo. Don't do it for me, or you. Do it for your family, they need your's and Dorothy's help."

A little while later, Walsh made Emma look at the ice cream sundae. On the plate sat a beautiful diamond ring. "Emma, I don't want to freak you out, but I couldn't wait any longer. I love you, I love Dorothy, I love Henry, I love our lives together. And I want to have a future together." The man then got down on one knee and proposed, "Emma Swan, will you marry me?"

Emma needed time, she couldn't even think straight at the moment. The blonde took in a deep breath and prepared herself to face her kids. She saw that her kids were just hanging out, playing video games together. "Mrs. Q said you two were quiet tonight. I half expected Dorothy to throw a party...again." The teenager huffed expectantly and defended herself, "That was one time!"

Henry, amused, muttered, "Yeah, ok Dor." Dorothy glared at him in return and Emma rolled her eyes at the two of them. The girl decided to change the subject by saying, "Not quiet, concentrating. I'm helping Henry get to level 23 on the game." The brunette played the video game on her controller while speaking to her mother.

Emma kicked off her heels and sat in the middle of her children on the couch. "Do you too mind if a fifth level wizard joins you?" The savior asked, and Henry replied, "On level 23, good luck with that." The family soon got into their game and were silent until Henry brought up, "So, what'd you say to Walsh?"

"You two knew? How?" The blonde questioned, and Dorothy shrugged and responded, "C'mon mom, we are not as easily fooled. First date restaurant, special night out. Writing was on the wall." Emma muttered that the writing was in the ice cream and Dorothy smirked a bit. Henry pressed the matter, and when the kids were greeted with silence, Dorothy chuckled, "Poor guy."

"I didn't say no." Emma defended herself, and Henry replied, "Yes, but you didn't say yes, so I stand by my sister's 'poor guy' statement." Dorothy was highly amused with the situation as Emma rattled on about how big of a decision it was. Henry played therapist while Dorothy focused on slaying the dragon on the screen.

The girl stopped though as Emma asked if Walsh was worthy of joining the family. "He's alright." Henry admitted, and Emma looked expectantly to Dorothy. Emma trusted Dorothy's judgement on things, and the girl would always tell the truth no matter what. Dorothy paused the game and sighed as she turned to her mom.

"Mom, not every guy you meet is going to be like Henry's dad. Walsh, he wants to be with you, with all of us. He needs us to be his home like we need each other. We know you like him because he's the first guy you ever introduced to Henry. I've seen guys pass through your life, but Walsh, even though he totally looks like a monkey for some reason, wants to stay."

The next morning, Emma and Dorothy were left in the kitchen while Henry went off to school. Dorothy could tell that something was up, Emma wasn't telling her something. And the girl wanted to know why. "So, what are you thinking so hard about right now?" The girl asked, and Emma immediately snapped out of her haze. "What are you talking about?" Emma retorted.

The teen rolled her eyes and countered, "Oh come on, Mom. I know you better than you know yourself." Emma's mind flashed back to the crazy pirate who said those exact words the night before. "Who's the guy? Oh, is it the dashing pirate from before?" Dorothy asked with a smile. The blonde was shocked to say the least.

"Wait, how did you-?" Emma was cut off by her daughter who merely scoffed and replied, "Please, mom, I know everything." Dorothy then checked her phone to see that she was going to be late for school if she didn't hurry. "I've gotta go, but go do what you have to do, mom. Love you." The teen said before she shut the door.

The blonde said the sentiment back and stared at the address in her hands.

Dorothy caught up with her friends as she walked to her locker. The teen quickly reached to grab her books, but her hand was stopped by another. She looked up to see a boy next to her, and she sighed in relief as she recognized him. Dorothy smiled and hugged the newcomer, who did the same. "Oh my gosh, Kyle. You scared me!" She lightly smacked his arm.

Kyle smirked at her and apologized, "I'm sorry." Dorothy rolled her eyes and shook her head as he leaned in to kiss her. The two separated as they heard cat calls in the hallway. Kyle mock glared at his group of friends that passed them by, "Hey, do you want to do something fun today?" Dorothy nodded as a reply and the boy took her hands and led her to the entrance of the school.

"Let's go roam the city." Kyle whispered in her ear, and Dorothy agreed. The couple then got into Kyle's car, unaware they were being watched by a pair of extremely jealous eyes.

As Dorothy and her boyfriend skipped school, Emma traveled to the address Hook gave her. At first, she had no idea who's apartment it was, but then she saw the yellow dream catcher in the window, "Fly paper for nightmares, Neal." Emma inwardly groaned as she realized he was in New York, he could find out about Henry. If he really wanted to, he could take both Henry and Dorothy away from her.

The mail that was left on his coffee table confirmed that Neal Cassidy was really there. She grew suspicious though as she saw the dust and old bloody rags, maybe he skipped town. Wouldn't be the first time. She thought. Horror and confusion struck Emma as she picked up a camera that had Henry's name on it. "That's not possible." She muttered.

As she kept roaming around, Emma also found something else that made her stomach churn. On Neal's nightstand, a leather bracelet lay on it. There was a single name on it, Dorothy. "Now that's really not possible." She stuffed the two items in her purse as a rage built up in her. No one would be taking away her kids, ever.

The young couple laughed as they held hands and walked down the street. They had just gotten lunch at Sardi's and were now strolling through the city near Central Park. Dorothy stopped as she saw a blonde figure in the crowd, "It's my mom, crap. We need to hide, now." Dorothy knew her mom would kill her if she found out she skipped school with Kyle again.

Thinking on her feet, Dorothy pushed Kyle into the bushes next to her. The girl ducked behind a hedge, and she grew confused as she saw the murderous look on her mom's face. "What is she doing here?" Dorothy asked herself. Once Emma was inside the park, Kyle got up and dusted himself off. "Well, she's gone, so it looks like we're safe to go."

Dorothy nodded and took his hand. The two walked off, not even looking back to see Peter Pan.

Hook smiled as he saw Emma walking towards him, she came. "Why didn't you tell me that was Neal's place?" Emma questioned, a hard edge to her voice. Killian picked up on that as well and told her, "I think the tone of your voice answers that quite clearly. You never would have gone if I had." Emma kept asking the pirate questions, and Hook just said he wasn't there for Neal.

"I'm here because your parents are in trouble. Their entire kingdom is cursed, ripped back to Storybrooke." He informed the blonde, who still did not believe a single thing he said. Emma then said that he sounded insane, and Hook nodded. "But it's true. Your family needs you. You and Dorothy are the only ones that can save them. If you don't believe me at all, then why did you come here?"

"Because Neal has a camera with my son's name on it and a bracelet with my daughter's. How?" Emma questioned him, and he did not looked surprised at all. The pirate then tried, "Don't you see? That is proof at what I'm saying. Henry must have left that in the apartment when you were in New York last year."

Emma shook her head and argued, "Not good enough. I want answers, and what does this have to do with Dorothy? What does he want with her?" Hook reached into his pocket and spoke, "You'll only get those if you drink this." He pulled out a blue bottle that contained a clear liquid. "I'll help you remember everything you've lost. If one small part of you senses that, then don't you owe it to yourself to find out if I'm right? What do you say, love? Take a leap of faith."

The blonde then handcuffed Killian, who looked at her, disappointed. "I'm making sure you never bother me or my family again. And tell that to your little teenage sidekick." Emma told then whistled, alerting the cops. She had told them that he assaulted her, which in theory he did. Hook called out Emma's name as she strutted away.

A few hours later, Emma and Henry roamed the streets of New York together. Emma got a text from Dorothy saying that she was going to the library after school with a few friends. The blonde rolled her eyes at that text, she knew what her daughter was really up to, or rather who she was with. Emma knew that Dorothy had attracted some attention at school, of course she would her daughter was beautiful. Any boy who wanted to date Dorothy, though, had to run through Emma first.

"You want to talk about Walsh, don't you?" Henry asked his mother, who denied it. The boy then added, "You bought me candy at the drug store. What is it?" Emma sighed before speaking, "Dorothy was right. Maybe what happened in my past, with your birth father, has kept me from living my life now. Maybe it's time for me to start looking forward. That we start looking forward."

Henry then started making plans for Emma to tell Wash she would marry him at dinner tonight. The boy then admitted that Dorothy sent a text to him from Emma's phone that morning, saying she wanted to talk. "He's coming over at 8, and Dorothy and I arranged sleepovers over at Avery's and Kelly's houses so you could be alone. It's okay, mom. If you're gut's telling you to marry him, trust it."

Emma then lied to Henry and said she forgot something. and the boy went up to their apartment. The savior then pulled out the pictures she had printed from the camera. She looked through them and saw Neal, Henry, and some other man. Oddly enough, Dorothy was no where to be seen. She had to get to the bottom of this.

"Hey we need to talk." Emma called from down the steps of the police station. She had immediately left to get answers from the pirate she had arrested. She ignored what he said about leaving him in there with bologna and cut to the chase, "What the hell are these? We never lived in a town called Storybrooke, we never took a flight from Boston to New York, we never did any of this. And my daughter isn't in any of these. Henry loves to take pictures of Dorothy, so why isn't she here?"

Hook asked if she believed him, and she argued that he could have photo shopped the pictures. Killian had no idea what that meant but he didn't do it. "If you think these are forgeries, then why did you free me from the brig? Because as much as you deny it, deep down you know something's wrong, you know I'm right."

"That's impossible, how could I forget all of this?" Emma asked, and Hook said that there were answers. "Not that make sense." The pirate grabbed the small bottle and looked at the blonde softly, "If you drink this it will." The blonde closed her eyes for a moment and spoke, "If-if what you're saying is true, I'd have to give up my life here."

"It's all based on lies." The pirate told her, and the savior argued, "But it's real and it's pretty good. I have Henry, Dorothy, a job, a guy I love." Killian then offered, "Perhaps there's a man in your old life that you loved. Regardless, if you want to find the truth, drink up. Do you really want to live a life of lies? Trust your gut, Swan, it will tell you what to do."

Emma then whispered, "Dorothy and Henry always say that." Hook then told her to listen to her kids. This made Emma drink the liquid from the blue bottle. Suddenly, images from the past went through Emma's head until it all came to the present. She gasped and opened her eyes, "Hook." She recognized him. The pirate smiled at the woman he loved, she was back. All he had to do was get his daughter back as well.

"Who could have done this? And also, why are you and Pan teamed up?" Emma asked Hook, who sipped his rum. The pirate replied vaguely, "Someone powerful enough to reach into this world." Emma pointed out that he didn't answer her question, and the pirate sighed. "We both have the same goal, we want to save Dorothy. Putting our feelings for each other aside, I think we're doing pretty well so far."

"What about Pan, though? Does he still want to kill Henry? And if he's alive, where's Rumpelstiltskin?" Emma questioned, and Hook responded, "Easy, lass. Pan somehow has been cured and returned to his immortal status. He says he doesn't need to kill Henry anymore, so there's that. I think the only reason he's here is because of my daughter. I wouldn't have brought him here if he was a threat to you and your family."

Emma then muttered, "She'd be so proud of you." A silence fell between the two, and Emma then admitted, "You know what I was yesterday? A mother, til you showed up and started poking holes in what I thought was real. Drinking that potion was like waking up from a dream, a really good dream."

"Well, you have what matters most, your son and my daughter." Hook said, trying to lift her spirits. "Now I have to figure out how to explain this to them. It feels weird, you know. I still look at Dorothy and think she's my kid." Emma spoke, and Hook felt jealous of his Swan for a moment. She got to be a parent to his daughter for a year. He only really got to know her for a week and a half.

"Alas, I could only salvage up enough for one dose of the memory potion. Dorothy will have no memory of me or Peter, speaking of the lad he'll be angry at me. He wanted to use the potion on Dorothy, but I knew that you would be easier to convince." Killian said, and then the two were cut off by the buzzer.

Emma knew that her reality wasn't real, but Walsh was. She needed to talk to him. Hook drank some more liquor as Emma left to talk to her boyfriend.

As Walsh and Emma talked on the rooftop, Kyle was walking Dorothy to her friend Kelly's apartment. The couple smiled at each other and suddenly, Kyle pushed Dorothy into an alleyway. "What are you-?" Dorothy was cut off as Kyle kissed her. The girl giggled and kissed him back, but they stopped when Dorothy's phone rang.

It was Emma. Dorothy put a finger on her lips, ushering for Kyle to keep quiet. "Hey mom, what's going on? How's Walsh?" The teen asked, and she was greeted with a panting Emma. "He's gone. I need you to come home, now." Kyle looked at Dorothy confusedly, silently asking 'what is wrong'. "But mom-" Dorothy was immediately cut off by Emma, "Dorothy, please. I need you to come home now."

The teen huffed and gave up, "I'm on my way." Dorothy then hung up and told Kyle, "I gotta go, my mom really wants me home. It's a family emergency." Kyle offered to walk her home, but Dorothy declined, "No, it's okay. Your house is right there, I'll see you tomorrow." Kyle smiled at the girl before she turned to walk away.

Dorothy thought she heard Kyle say, "She really shouldn't have drank that potion." The girl whipped around and asked, "What?" She got confused as Kyle advance towards her, "It's too bad, really, I thought we had something. After you escaped Oz, we all thought you were gone for good. The Witch was mad she didn't get to kill you herself, and now she'll never get the chance." Fear filled Dorothy as Kyle's eyes turned red and he suddenly disappeared. "What the hell?" She muttered to herself as she heard what she thought was a bird noise.

A flying monkey appeared where Kyle was, and Dorothy looked around immediately to find a weapon. There was none. When the monster backed her into a corner to kill her, it suddenly turned into a white dust. Dorothy stared at her rescuer, and recognized him to be the boy who kissed her in the apartment.

"Thought you could use some help." Peter stated, and the girl laughed a little bit and sighed in relief.

Dorothy rushed home with Peter at her side, she had no idea who the boy really was but he was cute. Peter noticed that unshed tears rimmed her eyes, and he wanted to make her happy. They reached her apartment door, and they could hear two people talking inside. Dorothy quickly walked inside to see her mom and the pirate from the other day in her kitchen.

The two didn't notice her until she asked quietly, "Mom?" Emma's head snapped up and she noticed Dorothy's tired, worn face. The blonde immediately went to hug "her" daughter, and Dorothy quietly wept in her mother's arms. "I don't know what's going on." She cried, and this broke Emma's heart. Dorothy had no idea what she was, or who she was. She didn't even recognize her own father.

"It's going to be okay, I promise. We're gonna go on vacation, pack your bags." Emma told the teen, who pulled out of her mother's arms. Then, Pan came up behind Dorothy and blew a powder in her face. The girl then collapsed into Peter's arms, unconscious. "What did you do?" Emma demanded, and the teen shrugged and responded, "She can't know about all of this at the moment. The first savior is all we need, the rest will come in time. But for now, this night will only exist in her dreams."

Dorothy woke up the next morning with tears in her eyes, why had she been crying? It must have been a nightmare. She quickly got dressed and went in the kitchen for breakfast. The teen made hot chocolate for Henry and her, her mom didn't feel like hot chocolate at the moment. The kids watched their mom as she violently stirred the eggs.

Henry commented on it, and Emma just remained silent and cooked breakfast. "Can I ask you two a question?" Emma spoke, and her kids nodded. "Do you believe in magic?" She continued, and Henry replied, "Of course!" Dorothy then butted into the conversation and mocked, "And the tooth fairy and Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny. It gets me a present, I believe."

Emma laughed a little at her comment, but a sadness filled the blonde. The girl who knew about every world didn't believe in magic. Henry asked if she was sure she made the right decision with Walsh, and Emma knew she definitely did after last night's fiasco. "It's just gonna be us three for a little while, well until Dorothy goes off to college in a few years."

"Well, if you're happy, I'm happy." Dorothy told, and Emma smiled at her. Henry then mentioned that he needed to get to school, and Dorothy realized what time it was. Emma interrupted her children's haste, "Nope, no school today. How about we go on a trip? I have a new case in Maine and it might take me a while and I think we should go."

Dorothy's jaw dropped as Henry accepted the offer, no way. "That's so unfair! We practically just got here and now we're leaving again? I just made new friends. When are we leaving?" Emma sympathized with the girl, and cringed as she admitted, "Now." Dorothy then screamed, "What?!" The family stopped their squabbling as a knock sounded from the door.

Emma answered it and saw Hook and Peter Pan waiting. The two Neverlanders strutted into the apartment and Dorothy pointed at them and stated, "You two." The blonde tried to lie and introduce them, "Dorothy, Henry, this is Killian and Peter. I am-well- I'm helping them with their case." Dorothy saw through the charade and questioned, "Isn't he a little young to be a bail bondsman?"

Peter smirked and spoke, "Still as perceptive as ever, love." Dorothy raised an eyebrow at that and noted that he avoided her question. "Did you skip bail?" Henry asked Hook, and the pirate chuckled, "These two are still little spitfires." Emma nodded and laughed a bit at that, he had no idea. Emma explained that the two gentlemen were clients of hers.

Of course, Dorothy remained skeptical. "Why are two dressed like that?" The boy asked, and Peter snapped back, "Why are you dressed like that?" Emma calmed him down and told them to help put their bags in the car. "Wait, we're seriously going?" Dorothy groaned, and Emma gave her a stern look. "Yes, I just need one last thing."

Emma drove to Storybrooke with Killian in the front seat and Henry, Dorothy, and Peter in the back. Dorothy made Henry sit in the middle because she didn't want to sit next to the creepy teen who kissed her. The girl texted her friends and told them what was going on, and they all were sad. Dororthy had a lot of friends at her new school, and she was going to miss them a lot.

The mom in the front seat tried to make conversation, but her kids remained awkward. She didn't blame them, they had no idea who these people were to them. Dorothy had no idea that her true love was sitting one seat away from her and her father in front of her. Dorothy and Henry eventually fell asleep in the car. The two siblings thought the situation they were currently in was beyond weird, but they trusted their mother's judgement above all.
