Hey Guys sorry for the wait. here it is.

Percy POV

Now usually when you throw a knife into a monsters abdomen they disintegrate right then and there remains fly into the wind. Unfortunately my life, even by demigod's standards, is not usual and the gorgon decided that she wanted to keep my streak alive.

The stab wound turned to golden dust and my knife hit the ground with an annoying ding. At least the guards had the presence of mind to run away from the pissed off snake- bat lady and scrambled to put there backs to the entrance they were guarding.

But the gorgon had no intention of messing with the frazzled guards and set her eyes on me. Only for her to realize I was no longer standing where I was a moment ago. From my position behind her I clapped my hands over her temples knocking her out cold. Summoning some celestial bronze handcuffs (Blessing of Athena/ Justice) and putting the gorgon's hands into them.

One of the two guard's took a step forward," State your name and business stranger! Friend or Foe?!" he barked out.

I turned towards him bringing my arm up and across my chest in a informal salute. They're Roman, I thought, better be as formal as I can. Which is pretty difficult considering my track record with authority.

"Friend, I am the champion of Olympus here on order of the Olympian council. I brings news from Olympus and must speak to your commander." I said trying to seem as business-like as possible. From what Uncle Hades told me, they are a strict, orderly people.

"And geniuses with tortures," he said on one late evening, "some of my very own techniques where taken from their arsenal." Anyone who could show my Uncle a thing or two about torture was not someone to piss off. But then again I have a habit of that.

" I've never heard of such a position as Champion of Olympus! Now, what is your name!" He repeated irritably, clearly unimpressed with the lack of personal info I had denied him.

I thought quickly. I could easily get past the pair of guards but I sensed that violence would not be the way to show myself as a friend. I needed these Romans to trust me, so I took the only option left I told him who I was, " My name is Aquilus," sort of," slayer of a thousand monsters, nemesis of the Minotaur, killer of the nemean Lion, bear of a dozen blessings, defender of the gods, bane of Saturn, vanquisher of Hyperion, and defeater of Leon of Thrace."

Third Person POV

If Percy was amazed the first time he saw Camp Half-Blood, it was nothing compared to the overwhelming picture Percy sensed of Camp Jupiter. He could see the green fields of grass and the small clean river running at the front of the camp acting as the boundary for the camp. What really grabbed his attention was the concentration of people next to a small mountain at the far left of the field.

"What's that over there?" Percy inquired pointing to the mass of people. Percy could feel the weird looks the guards were giving him. Of course they couldn't know that Percy was blind. None the less they answered the Champion.

"That's the city of New Rome. Where veteran's of the Legion retire to once their term of service is finished." The older guard told him as he lead the way down the beaten path to the river.

The bridge across the river was a simple but sturdy structure capable of holding a large amount of people at a time, tactically speaking it was smart because the simple stone could be destroyed and recreated rather simply incase of an attack. As Percy crossed the boundary of Camp Jupiter he could feel the power of the swift running water. He was in the representation of Rome in America. Just like the original, this Rome should be riddled with power-struggle, death, blood, and of course pride. And as Percy knows all to well, history repeats itself and he was curious to see which part of history Rome was currently in.

The trio arrived at what Percy could barely make out as a Roman style military base. As they stood outside the gate the guard on duty there stepped forward. He was big guy, well muscled with a gruff voice. Beyond his build Percy could could just see his eyes nose and mouth because of the Roman armor he was in. He looked to be about 15 maybe 16 with asian eyes and cheeks that looked like they were yet to be rid of their baby fat.

" Hey James, hey Sam, who's this with you and why is he dragging a monster behind him?" asked the baby-faced guard. Eyeing Percy suspiciously while his hand moved unknowingly to his bow across his back. Percy was surprised that he had forgotten he was carrying the monster this whole way but then he started to feel how tired his arm was.

" Hey Frank, this guy is Aquilus. We're taking him to see Reyna and Jason at the Principia. The monster needs to be taken to our holding cells until further notice."

Frank gave Percy a look over before nodding his head," Ok, my shift ends in 10 minutes. I'll take the monster to a cell then." He said eyeing Percy nervously. The Champion of Olympus just gave Frank a reassuring nod before tossing the monster with one arm at Franks feet. The unconscious monster didn't utter so much as a growl from the contact.

"Thanks Frank, and make sure you get the monster there, then you can go off and find Hazel." said one of the guards from the tunnel. Frank turned a deep shade of red before muttering something under his breath.

Percy could sense something there but remained silent as he followed the guards through the gate. Over his shoulder he heard Frank mutter some very unflattering things under his breath.

Reyna POV

I sat down in the den of the principia finally getting some much needed rest from the strenuous political hassles that comes with being Praetor. I had been working all day with Jason laying the plans for tomorrow's war games, calming Octavian and his followers, and I had just returned from investigating a stampede from our unicorn corral. Thank the gods that Hazel girl was there or Gwen would have been finished. Though I do find it odd that the Unicorns were scared out of running them over.

I lay down and was just about to close my eyes for a nap when a knock on my door shocked me out of my drowsy state.

"Come in Jason." I called knowing he was the only person allowed on the top floor where the Praetor's quarters were.

The door opened to Jason's smiling face," Hey Rey, long day? Haven't seen you since earlier today when we were drawing the blueprints for the fort." My heart did a little relay race like it always did when I saw him. We had grown close in the last year, closer then ever. I wasn't sure how he felt about me but I know how I feel about him.

" You could say that, after I went to shut down Octavian and his goons I had to run over to the Unicorn corral to clean up that mess. By the way, we have to take a Hazel Levesque off Probatio. She saved Gwen's life to day. She's earned it."

Jason nodded as he took a seat," I'll make a note, we'll accept her at evening muster." I just nodded in response.

It was a couple minutes before he spoke" I thought things would settle down after the siege but our lives just got a whole lot more full."

" What? You thought Praetor would be a boring job?" I teased.

"Ha, no, but I was wrong in thinking that it would be easier then fighting a titan. Even Krios doesn't hit as hard as these headaches I've been getting.

I laughed," Yeah, well it sounds like that headaches about to get a lot worse." I said getting up from the couch due to the sound of knocking at the door down stairs. "I wonder what that could be, isn't it down time in the barracks?"

"Maybe the some of the First got in a fight with the Fifth again?" Jason offered.

" Hopefully not, I've had enough fighting for a day. But there's only one way to find out." I said as I headed down stairs.

Reyna POV

Jason and I turned the corner into our office and we were welcomed with the sight of two guards and a stranger who was studying the map that hung on one of the walls.

The hooded stranger, who's back was currently turned to us, stood at about 6 foot 4 but he was by no means skinny. He actually looked perfectly proportioned muscle wise as far as I can see, without an ounce of fat on him. He held himself as a warrior, powerful and quick; but humbly as well like a man who puts others before himself. This man was no roman. I could tell just by looking at him.

Jason was the first to speak," Sam, James." he said acknowledging the guards," We can take it from here." Jason was on edge as was I. I could tell by the sound of his voice. I got the feeling that this guy was important. The aura he put out through the room was powerful. But a peaceful power. And to me that was more unnerving then if the guy decided to go on a rampage.

The man turned from the map to look at us. Fixing his unnerving stare on me, then Jason in turn. It was some time before he spoke. " My name is Auquilus," he said extending his to Jason and then I," Champion of Olympus."

We shook his rough calloused hands; the hands of a warrior who uses the tool of his trade often. I figured it was my turn to speak," Hello, my name Reyna, Daughter of Bellona. Praetor of this Legion"

Next was Jason," I am Jason Grace, son of..." But that was as far as he got.

" Zeus." said the champion before he seemed to realize a mistake," I mean Jupiter."

That was weird. How'd he know Jason's name but not I? Strange.

Jason, to his credit, recovered from the short silence first," That's right. Have we met before?"

Aquilus shook his head," No, but I do talk to your father regularly." Made sense being the Champion of Olympus as he claimed.

I decided to pick up the conversation from there," What brings you here Champion? Has Rome angered the gods?" Unlikely but always a possibility.

" No, as a matter of fact, quite the opposite." Well this was a pleasant surprise," The gods would like to thank you for your service to Olympus."

Both Jason and I let out a breath. We were still getting used to the position of Praetor, gods forbid we get word of another war brewing.

"Perhaps we should sit down, there are a few things we need to discuss," he said indicating the 2 large praetor chairs behind the desk and the guest chair on the opposite side.

" Of course." Jason said, realizing the fault," Where are our manners?" He swept his hand indicating to take a seat. He took the seat on the left and I on the right. Aquilus sat in front of us seeming calm and relaxed compared to us.

" The real reason I am here is because Lord Zeus wishes this camp to be in top condition in as little time as possible. I am to stay and observe your camp. If I see any shortcomings while I am here I will report back to the gods and, if necessary, fix it." He said ominously.

Both Jason and I gulped at that. The way he said fix didn't sound like we would just be getting kitchen duty. We nodded our heads furiously in acknowledgment. The atmosphere of the room was cold and foreboding, as was the stare of Aquilus. But suddenly, completely out of nowhere, he smiled and the moment was gone.

" Also, one more crucial thing." He said in a whisper. We leaned in, not wanting to miss a word." What time is dinner?" Cracking a smile at the end.

" Ugh about, Seven o'clock sharp. Evening muster is right before at 6:45." Jason replied.

"Perfect, I have 3 hours to kill. Would you mind if I looked around till then. Just to get to know where I am." He asked.

"Not at all." I responded," Do you need directions to anywhere?"

" Yes, actually, where is your jail? I captured a monster and I need to interrogate it." He said.

" We'll take you there." Jason said as he and I rose to leave. Aquilus followed suit following us as we led him out the principia.
