Pulling Me Through Part Two

Andy's POV
An arm tightened around me and I could tell it was Riley's. The fact that Riley is the only person that I share a bed with was quite a giveaway. I fought the urge to chuckle as I turned around to face her, her hand skimming over my bare chest. These are the sort of mornings I wish I could have every day, but if it happened every day then the moments just wouldn't seem as special. They would feel like a hindrance.
I watched as she lifted her head up off the pillow to look at me. I didn't understand why she would be so content in staring into my eyes, but I wasn't complaining. It meant I got to stare into her green eyes as well and that was all I could ever ask for at this time of morning.
"Good morning" She mumbled, not taking her eyes off mine for a second for which I was grateful. I moved my hand over, so I could some of her hair in my hand and twirl it around my fingers. When you'd been with someone this long and had a child, you seemed to forget all of the beautiful things about your girlfriend. I had forgotten that playing with Riley's hair was one of my favourite pastimes.
"Good morning" I whispered back as she let out a small chuckle before letting her hand rest underneath her head as a support. We lay in the bed in absolute silence simply watching each other, waiting for the other to make the first move.
"Did you have a good sleep?" She asked. The question was silly, but my mind could barely take anything in other than her smile. The smile that I was convinced that I had fell in love with the first time she flashed it at me. I played with her fingers that were holding my hand as she let her forehead rest against mine, closing her eyes in sheer comfort.
"It was great as soon as I had you in my arms" I answered with a cheeky grin. She rolled her eyes at me, but I could tell that she wasn't serious due to the blush that was slowly rising to her cheeks. It was so beautiful, but she always claimed that it was unattractive. Everything about her was attractive.
"Why do you always say romantic things that make me blush?" She asked, burying her head under the covers to hide it. I laughed as I pulled them up, so I could get under too. Searching for her hand, I started to claim that her blush was gorgeous. When I got her hand, I pulled her up, so she was no longer under the quilt and back into my line of vision.
"We should go check on Savannah" I sighed as I stepped up from the bed, dragging Riley with me. She followed me to Savannah's room, happily. We peered over the cot to see that she was still awake, but when Riley stumbled over one of the toys and made a noise of protest at it, her eyes fluttered open and she looked at us, still thinking that we were amazing. Riley leaned over and took Savannah out of the cot and cradled her before we made our way downstairs, so we could get her a bottle.
When we were in the kitchen, I sat down at the island as Riley held the bottle to Savannah's mouth and she began to take drinks from it.
"When are you going back to school?" I asked. I knew it was a touchy subject as Riley was dreading the day that she would have to go back, but it was something that we needed to discuss. She turned to face me, still feeding Savannah and gave me a small sigh before reassuring me that she wasn't angry with a smile.
"I've got to go back next week" She complained. She had wanted to simply drop out, but she knew that she had to graduate if she wanted to set a good example for Savannah.
"Who's going to look after Savannah?" I asked, knowing that none of the gang could. I shot her a confused look as I came up with a blank as I tried to figure out who would do it.
"My dad's going to come over and look after her when we're at school" She answered giving me another small smile as she pulled the bottle away from Savannah's mouth and handed her to me. I rocked her back and forth which was something that had just become instinct now. Yes, it was a stereotypical thing to do with a baby, but it was actually rather fun. She closed her eyes and I could tell that she was sleeping again. I couldn't wait for the day that she could talk, so I could actually talk to her and she could answer.
"What do you want to do today?" I asked. She shrugged and then her eyes went wide. She scrambled around the kitchen and then picked up her purse with a look of delight, peering inside, she looked a bit happier.
"I need to get school things for next week since we have no things for it" Riley answered. I had never really stocked up on pens or pencils and Riley's old schoolbag was ripped and torn to shreds from the many years of use she had out of it. I nodded as I placed Savannah in the Moses basket.
"When we're ready we can go out and get them" I sighed as I hurried upstairs to get my clothes on as Riley picked up her toothbrush and began to brush. Yet another day where we would get to show off Savannah. I know it sounds weird, but I can't wait to hear the compliments she'll get.
Riley's POV
When I had gotten dressed, I put Savannah in the pram and waited for Andy to finish putting his eyeliner on. It's annoying when your boyfriend puts more makeup on than you do. He finally finished just after I had been ready for half an hour and took me outside. We walked up to the town again which was a place that we seemed to go to every day. The town was like a second home to me.
As we walked, we talked about what it was going to be like to go back to school and I asked Andy what everyone said to him when he went back after Christmas. What he said made me feel a little scared to actually go back and face everyone again. The last time most of them saw me I was just a girl who was pregnant and now I was actually a mother. Yes, the thought terrified me and the thought of what some of their comments might be made me want to tell Andy that I was actually going to drop out, but I knew that he would be disappointed in me if I done that. Andy's disappointment was something that I couldn't face.
"They were just saying congratulations and asking to see photos of her" Andy shrugged. I couldn't help but grin at the fact that they were so excited to see my baby. I was already beginning to look forward to people complimenting her.
"What did they say?" I asked, wanting to hear what people thought of Savannah. Andy grinned as he thought about it, obviously regarding it as a fond memory, making it even more exciting to find out what they thought.
"They just said that she was gorgeous and that they couldn't believe that it was us who made her" Andy chuckled at the fact that we had been insulted at Savannah's compliment. I blushed as we walked into the first shop that I knew sold some pretty good bags for school. Andy pushed the pram as I looked through the shelves, trying to find a bag that didn't make me want to puke. It didn't take long to find a plain black shoulder bag that looked like it could fit all of my things in. I picked it up from the shelf and put it over my head to see if I could actually wear it. When I looked in the mirror, I felt weird since I looked like a typical schoolgirl. It was kind of nice to get back into the swing of things and feel like my only worry was if I had done my science homework. I chuckled at my reflection before pulling the bag back off and handing it to the guy at the counter and handing over my money before following Andy back outside.
"What else do I need?" I asked, looking at the shops for inspiration.
"Pens and a notebook" Andy answered as he took me to the nearest stationery shop. We walked in, looking at anything that was surrounding us before grabbing the things that I needed and then leaving again. We wandered around aimlessly, talking about nothing in particular.
"Do we need anything else?" I asked as I done my routine check of the shops. Andy done the same as me before shaking his head and heading away from the town. I followed him, sneaking a quick look at Savannah to make sure that she was okay as we headed back to the house.
"What do you want to do when we get back?" Andy asked, wrapping an arm around me and pushing the pram with only one hand.
"Lie on the sofa with you by my side" I answered with a grin as Andy pressed a quick kiss to my temple. He chuckled as he nodded in agreement, turning a corner and heading onto our street.
"I want to lie by your side too" Andy whispered, tightening his arm around me and chuckling. We walked down our patio and unlocked the door before stepping inside. Jake was sitting in the kitchen with Jinxx and smiled at us as we walked in.
"We're going out in a bit" Jinxx informed as he made his way towards the door with Jake by his side. They both smiled widely at Savannah as they opened the door up.
"Have fun" I sighed, glad that they were going, so I could just lie on the sofa with Andy for a bit. God knows that I deserve it.
"Bye, guys" Jake called before shutting the door. I took Savannah out of her pram and ran upstairs, putting her in her crib and watching her for a moment. I smiled before turning off the light and heading straight back downstairs. Andy was already sitting on the sofa and patted the seat next to him to tell me that he wanted me to sit next to him. I didn't need to be told twice. I took my seat next to him as he wrapped his arm around me and sighed in content.
"I love you" He whispered as he closed his eyes. I let a hand rest on his chest and closed my eyes too. I knew that I would probably end up falling asleep here, but it just reminded me of when I first done something with Andy. When we watched that horror film, I fell asleep by his side and woke up on top of him. I wanted to feel like that again and I was already starting to feel like that. It was the equivalent to heaven and this was all I ever wanted.
"I love you too" I mumbled, feeling the darkness drag me down. I wasn't even going to try and stop it from dragging me under. I sighed happily as I fell into a perfect slumber.
I can't help but think that this chapter was terrible. Oh well, I hope you enjoy. Next chapter will be Ashley and Bailey!
