That night, while Jotaro stood watching the moon, Reimu was making some tea for the two of them before they both went to bed. By finding Jotaro staring so concentrated at the moon, the shrine maiden thought she should stay silent but finally decided to ask why such concentration.
- ... We're not going back anytime soon... Right, Reimu?
- That depends on Yukari, maybe you'll stay here until the end of the next winter... I dunno, depending on her for anything was never my thing... - She said while serving the tea - But you should get used to Gensokyo if you want to survive. Nobody here... can be lazy!
The two decided to stay silent after Reimu's comment, but in a few seconds the shrine maiden decided to look at the moon and then sighed drawing Kujo's attention, he soon looked at her with a face of who wanted to know what happened.
- This brings back memories... - She answered – The Fake Moon Incident... Not so long ago, you see? Ok...! It was a long time ago! But time goes by so fast, doesn't it? - She laughed, but soon her smile turned into something that was a mix of happiness and concern - Sorry... I just didn't wanted to remember much of this... Everything changed a lot since Sanae arrived and facing incidents has been 2 times worse knowing that there's someone wanting to change Gensokyo...
Reimu seemed to be talking more than usual... She was probably worried about all of this, after all, several people arrived from another world and she was suddenly forced to find a way to make everyone go back, not to mention they didn't even knew if they were the only ones that were scattered around or if there were more... All of this should be filling the head of the Shrine Maiden of the Paradise with problems, especially when she is the one who has to do everything.
The silence...
Yet again...
Everything seemed so calm right now... It seemed... That... Everything... Was... Over...
Everything in peace... Right... Mom?
The tension continued to surround the 5 at Eientei. Eirin then looked furiously at the 3 men
- You did it, right? Quick, admit it! - She said while aiming an arrow at them again
- No, they couldn't have done it... They haven't entered my room...
- ... - Eirin remained silent - We must look for the stone... We have our goals in common, Cars... We should join forces to continue
Cars thought for a while... Maybe looking for the stone with Eirin was not a bad idea... Maybe she would be of a great help, and after finding it all he had to do was take the stone from her...
It was worth it...
- Very well, we'll join you, Eirin! - He said
- So let's go... - They went towards the mansion's halls and so they began the search
Yukari was resting at home while Josuke watched her so she wouldn't overdo it like last time. While she was asleep, the boy would explore the sleeping blonde's house.
It was a really big house, no exaggeration. He just kept thinking it was odd to have such a giant house for only 3 people to live in it, not only that, but she was usually alone in there (like today, for example).
While exploring, Josuke found a curious looking door in one of the corridors, it drew a lot of attention for having a lot of seals on it... It was like an evil spirit was sealed in there and for the door to need so many seals, it should be a very powerful spirit.
He was so distracted thinking about what could be behind the door that he didn't even notice someone approaching.
- What are you doing here? - a weak female voice made him suddenly turn from the fright
It was Yukari.
- Y-Yukari-san? Are you okay? You sure you could be walking already?
- Don't worry about it, I'm fine, but what were you doing here? - She seemed worried... Seemed to want to avoid approaching that door
- ... What's there? I mean... What's behind that door?
Yukari remained silent, it didn't look like she wanted to answer that question. Understanding that it could bring back memories that she might not want to remember, Josuke just accepted that it was better to be silent.
- What's in there is a portal connected to another universe, an universe that I used to visit daily to talk to an old friend - She said as she faced the door – Since you will be staying here for a while, it is ok for you to know about this door, all I ask is that you don't enter it...
After that conversation, Yukari went back to her room leaving Josuke alone in the hallway again. The boy stared at the door and then started thinking... Thanks to something that was weakening the borders, Yukari was too weak to send him home. It wasn't that he disliked staying in Gensokyo, but he also had family and friends in Morioh.
He wished that Yukari would recover as soon as possible...
It was about time for her to be asleep, but she just couldn't be quiet. Nekojirou began to get angry with Kasume for walking from side to side.
- Why are you so uneasy? - Nekojirou asked already irritated
Kasume was a bit hectic at the idea of bringing a human home, she should have left not just the blond, but the idiot at the library!
- NekoNeko-chan! They are human! Any minute now, some youkai will find out about it and try to eat him or maybe even we can get hungry!
- It's only until you decide to drop him at the human village - the nekomata answered
- I don't like to get involved with humans! Not after what they did to us! - Kasume looked irritated at the window - It seems that the incidents will occur more often now
Without understanding what she just said, the cat just looked at the girl who stared at the window.
- What do you mean? - Nekojirou jumped onto the other's shoulder
No answer, just complete silence in the house and nothing more.
Soon Kasume turned, got away from the window and went towards her room. Without answers, Nekojirou just jumped off Kasume's shoulder and lied down on the floor again. Trying to understand Kasume's words, she stared at the starry sky and began to think.
Maybe... She thinks of it all to be... A big incident...
To be continued...
Notes:
One more late chapter. I'm having intense creativity blocks lately and my imagination doesn't want to stop to imagine more and more stories that are not connected to this one!
Of course, I always find a way to connect them, be it as a continuation, or backstories to understand how it all got to this point.
I've done at least 3 continuations and 2 backstories.
Well, it might take a while for me to write them, since it's taking some time to write this up, but I hope my creativity come back so I can write faster, forgive me for the delay.
